L’Eau d’Issey Pour Homme Sport

This is an "Elegant Modern Sporty" cologne and a great summer fragrance in my opinion. After the initial spray I can definitely detect the citrus scent from the lemon and lime. The best way to describe it for me is like smelling a cold Sprite soda because the citrus has a little sweetness (not like 1 million sweet) smell to it, which I think is a "must" for summer colognes. The citrusy and sweetness are perfectly balanced. I don't like very sweet summer colognes, because it makes me feel sticky. Unlike other citrus summer fragrance that has a sharp citrus acidic scent, this one has a little sweetness that comes from the nutmeg and leather and not from vanilla or tonka beans. I can also detect the leather note and I think the leather scent adds "elegance" to the cologne. I can also detect the smokiness from the vetiver and woody notes from the cedar. If you like modern sporty scents, this one is a "buy" in my opinion. One more thing to add, this is not "floral" like its older brother. I can see myself wearing this with jeans, suede boots and untucked rolled up long sleeve shirt on a summer day. Not like Acqua di Gio where I can see myself just wearing jeans or shorts, flip flops and plain white t-shirt. Longevity is about 6-7 hours on my skin and sillage is about arms length to about 3 hours, then it stays close to my skin for another 3 hours. My overall rating 8/10

Hand in hand, the resemblance to Dior Homme Cologne 2013 is there, but Dior is plasticky on the edges of the fragrance, while L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme Sport is rounder and better blended. Dior 2013 is incredibly overpriced; in this case, we're only paying for the brand name, well, DIOR, edit... and as for the interesting performance of Dior 2013, they're pathetic, for the price, of course, ...on my skin and on my friends, it lasts about 3 hours. I like to write more, but about Dior 2013, well, there's no point. At least Issey Sport has something special, that vibrant grapefruit and nutmeg do the trick. Of course, you don't smell the nutmeg directly, only on the edge of the scent, the vetiver later. It smells nice in the air, seriously... I'm testing it today in Pomerania, where it's below freezing; on warm days, it's more juicy. The performance is... generally 7-8 hours, but after 3 hours it settles closer to the skin. That doesn't mean you don't feel it. If it gets warm and moving, you'll feel it again, and after a few hours it's cedar and vetiver. On a T-shirt all day. They could make an EDP...

I am a big Miyake fan and bought the Sport version to add to my collection. This fragrance is unusual for a “sport” flanker as they usually are lighter, fresher take on the original. That is certainly not the case here. Things get interesting when the leather, wood, and nutmeg take over after the opening citrus blast wears off. Miyake Sport sheds the brand’s trademark freshness and dons a cloak of mild animalic spiciness. At this point, the sport label makes little sense to me. I like the fragrance a lot, but it seems like something more deep and alluring than something refreshing that would remind me of a sport scent. I would probably also avoid this on hot days - seems best suited for springtime and summer nights, even fall. I see this as a business- casual dress fragrance- perhaps that’s what “sport” means in this case- same vein as “sport coat”, “sportswear”, etc rather than athletic. In any case, good fragrance, strange label! I like it a lot!

This remains one of my favorite summer/sport/fresh fragrances of all time! First, it has nothing to do with the original L'Eau d'Issey. The scent is a fresh citrus scent of grapefruit & bergamot. Nothing earth-shattering but so beautifully uplifting, happy, & fresh. Then there is the woody notes: nutmeg, leather, vetiver, virginia cedar, & ambergris. They are many but they don't affect the freshness nor the lightness of this fragrance at all. They basically add depth, maturity, & distinctive character to the scent with the very mild yet unique sweet woodiness that they add. I just love this fragrance so much & I keep getting it every other summer. I have two fresh Atelier Colognes, Dior Sauvage, Chanel's Bleu de Chanel Parfum, among other fresh scents but this fragrance is what I reach for 9 out of 10 times in hot days. What a gem from Issey.

Nothing about the price, the name or the packaging here suggests that this would be anything special, but it's shockingly good. It has the classic Issey Miyake backbone, but it's more citrus forward. It's very zesty, fizzy and cooling, but not overly sharp or synthetic, very classy. As some have mentioned, it's comparable to the far more expensive Terre D'Hermes Eau Givree, but it still does its own thing. It performs better on my skin as well. The real beauty of it is that while it's more of a warm weather scent due to its citrus forward nature, it definitely works in cold, rainy weather as well, that's when the citrus takes a step back and lets the vetiver shine. You can get it for next to nothing in some places, seriously, don't sleep on this. It's highly under-appreciated.

This is such an underrated gem! I didn't really care for it when I got it because it's so simple, but it has grown on my immensely over the last year. It's like a hybrid of the OG L'eau D'issey Pour Homme and Dior Homme Cologne. It has the beautiful realistic citrus of Dior Homme Cologne with some of the nutmeg and woods of L'eau D'issey. Performance is good for a fragrance of this type easy 6 hours with nice scent bubble for the first 3 hours. Great for a summer dumb reach or just hanging out around the house on a hot day. Nice, fresh citrus over woods with some leather giving it depth, the nutmeg really ties it to the original Issey. This is going to be in heavy rotation this summer!

What a beautiful smell! This is not your typical "Sport" fragrance. This one sits on the same row with Chanel Bleu under the citrus umbrella. It is a citrus smell indeed but it is not your typical generic sporty fragrance. NO! This is a mature, sophisticated, elegant, & classy fragrance. This is works as a date night fragrance even though it's a citrus fragrance...just like Bleu de Chanel. L'eay d Issey Pour Homme Sport is a nose-pleasing, nerve-calming combination of citrus, leather, & wood. This is a must try for both the fans of woody and the fans of citrus fragrances.

was bought this recently for my birthday (s/o mum <3) at first it felt a tad generic HOWEVER... it has shown me i was very wrong, whilst initial smell isn't super unique, on the skin and clothes once dried down, it shines! feels super fresh, a tad sporty (who would have guessed) but in a way cheap and more common 'sport & fresh' type mens scents don't reach. evoques a clean, post shower, citrusy vibe. i wish my uneducated nostrils could tell you more but i do know that i really like this Issey scent and totally recommend!! xoxo aluminiumfoiled xoxo ◐ω◑

Effervescent sparkling citrus mixed with a touch of spice and a touch of woodiness. It might sound simple it might sound easy to replicate but to me this is quite a unique casual summer fragrance because it is just blended so well - it just works. It's quite a light fragrance and not a loud performer but that is the way it's designed. If you overspray you will get more of the spice and woodiness so it's entirely up to you how you want to wear it. If you are sitting on the fence just buy it - you will very likely fall in love with it.

This is my first Issey Miyake fragrance and I'm left wondering why I left it so long. The biggest surprise to me is how impressive this is for an EDT. I also purchased Montblanc Explorer and Ultra Blue at the same time. Both of which are EDP, and both of which were beaten by this sports flanker. The longevity and sillage are solid, and at just £23 for 100ml, it's incredible value for money. This is a well crafted and all season fragrance suited to any occasion and environment. Highly recommend.

This fits right in between the original L’eau D’Issey and the Intense version. It is more stripped down and modern just like the intense while still staying as fresh as the original. This fragrance doesn’t have the yuzu kick and floral notes of the original but it is still really clean and fresh with a nice bitter grapefruit opening. It also modernizes things a little bit with some leather notes. While I still like the original more I can definitely see myself wearing this in some situations.

Nutmeg and leather for summer?? Sounds like its too much but in reality it doesnt weigh this cologne down in any way. Its very fresh with pleasant burst of grapefruit and some sweet tone (reminds me of Burberry Weekend), some interesting complexity but very easy to wear. Even the dry down doesnt get too dark, retaining freshness all the way. Enjoy this for a gym or casual wear often. This cologne was created by a certified freshie King.

HIGHLY UNDERRATED This differs from the typical sport fragrances for men in that it smells sporty in a mature and somewhat sophisticated way and does it's best in cool weather and not in the heat of summer like other sport scents. It evokes a man who is athletic, virile, mature and classy at the same time. The combination of citruses and leather is amazing. Scent: 9/10 Longevity: 9/10 Sillage: 6.5/10 A MUST HAVE FOR THE COOL WEATHER!

Id pay just about every penny I have to recieve an extrait version of this that smelled identical. It truely is my favorite fragrence ever, period. The performance is laughable. 30-90 minutes never more, sometimes less. This is the epitome of freshness in a mens sporty fragrence. The citrus makes my eyes tremble when that opening hits. Im damn glad they sell 100ml for $30 have 3 stocked up because I go through them so fast.

Great option in the collection. Especially well designed sport scent for exercise and active use... + Nice similarities to its flanker boss while definitely contributing new stuff to the line. Easy wearing, not too heavy. Handles sweat beautifully. + Great sport scents tend to last 3-4 hours. Reapply as needed for other uses. Miyaki Sport showers off well so you can reset in another direction frag-wise if preferred.

I wish Issey Miyake still produced beautiful and solid fragrances like this one or any of the old flankers from the 2000s - 2010s. This opens up very fresh and citrusy but not sharp like the original. The bergamot and grapefruit, together with the nutmeg mix in a particular way that gives me a marine feel. Then the leather and cedar appear and it develops beautifully. So simple but nice and elegant. I love it.

I feel that this cologne is exactly what I would like to wear for the gym, not as crispy and spicy as the original one, but warmer and sweeter imo. I am not sure if I would like to wear it in other occasions, or maybe once in a while in some casual situations. like shopping and class. I can feel the spring season from the scent and would like to buy a small size to supplement my big original bottle. =)

This is what all flankers should be like! Retains the Issey Miyake DNA while remixing it just enough to give it a slightly different vibe. This one feels soapier. The sharp Yuzu note is no longer the star of the show in this one. It's tamer in that regard. If you own the original and love it, then this is a worthwhile purchase, if you only like it, then you may feel buying this is redundant.

This fragrance is an absolute hit! It carries the signature DNA of Iseey scents, enriched with plenty of cypress notes that make it truly unique. It’s long-lasting, very pleasant, and has a distinctive character. The price is also very reasonable for what you get. It has become one of my top favorites for summer, though I occasionally wear it even during the winter months.

I think the original and the sport are GOOD. Similar but different. The original dry down gets a little sweet kinda like Ralph Lauren Romance. The sport dry down is a little more aquatic mixed with a very little Hugo Boss. The woods in here are just fantastic, clean and crisp! It last about 8 to 10 hours on my skin and gets great projection!! It will be with me for a while

Have you ever tried it in cold weather? Yes i know some people know it as a spring summer scent but you have to try it. Now its fall and cold and rainy, I like to wear It today. And it's funny To my nose it smells better now. More woody and mature than a sport citrusy scent. Although I've never accepted this scent as a sport scent. So anyway I like it more now.

Just bought this fragrance. The opening notes are very fresh and not over powering. I do get the metallic feel when i wear this fragrance. Longevity is around 6 hours on my skin but on clothes it stays more than 24 hours. Best worn during summer months. I love the fragrance and i love the scent. Another winner from the house of ISSEY MIYAKE...

Blue Aqua Citrus potion, inoffensive (no harsh notes/ not piercing or abrasive, unsweetened), somewhat pleasing, refreshing, sporty, has its own thing going/slightly unique, citrus accord from top to bottom/grapefruity with some watery notes and some earthy feel to it, if you like your Isseyaki this is a great addition and an easy blind buy.

All i feel in this perfume is lemon..lemon and as it dries down some woody vibes because of vetiver and cedar. After it settles smells like Korres Vetiver Root Green Tea Cedarwood which has a lovely smell so overall its fresh, uplifting and energetic especially in the hot summer days ! As for longevity and sillage, are both decent !

L’Eau d’Issey Pour Homme Sport by Issey Miyake amazing fresh spring summer autumn fragrance,I bought the perfume for 30$ 100ml. I have the entire range of Issey Miyake they have almost no unpleasant fragrance, I am a big fan of the perfume house. Some of the perfumes Issey Miyake have a little weak radiance and durability.

this is one the best from the issey miyake line! im my opinion! an sport fragrance you can use all season! everyday ! anywhere! i remember first time i used this after exercise i got lots of compliments’ from females they really like it ‘ because is Manly ‘ or sophisticated man .well done issey miyake!

Spray and wait 5-10 minutes. This has one of the best citrus/grapefruit notes of any fragrance. Smells amazing for about an hour and then it starts to disappear. Within a few hours it is all but gone. I love it. Wish it was stronger. Could rival Bleu de Chanel as my signature scent if it only lasted.

Holy what A quick one. I've just tried it for the first time 5 minutes ago. Got it for really cheap on a discounter. Completely blown away. I am not sure why, but for me, this is a designer version of MFK Amyris Homme. It has the same soft note on top, and I don't even know what it is.

When I first got the fragrance, it was instant 10/10! Then it kinda went to 8/10 because of the longevity on skin, unfortunately. This is what I heard with Issey that all fragrances are not long lasting but smell 10/10. Well you gotta live with it but for the cheap price, just buy it!

Very elegant sport fragrance. Much different from other sport scents, that are usually too aquatic. This is not sour like L’Eau d’Issey Pour Homme. I think there is ginger in the composition, but it isn't included in the ingredients list. The main problem is the short longevity.

Sampled this a couple of days ago.. and I can't get this out of my mind! I'm not good at breaking down notes but I can say it has a perfect fresh woody and metal feel! very well done by the house of Issey Miyake just like the original, the Blue, and the Intense!

This is in another level, specially compared to the original. It is not that sweet, a bit fresher, and smells classy. Nutmeg doesn't stand out, and I want to say it is a superb scent. 8/10 update: sillage is not great, just 2 hours. still, longevity is good.

I love this I have a huge bottle and use liberally on hot summer days. Days it's so hot I wear t shirt and I feel classy as if I'm wearing a dress shirt with this scent. It reminds me of Armani code sport and Versace franche

Sporty. Classy. Seductive. Youd think that with citrus as a top note, it wouldnt smell so smooth and linear but it does. Other reviewers have really explained this best. Great Signature scent, summer scent, blind buy, etc

I tried a 2ml sample & the experience was very good. Longevity is 8/9 hours with moderate projection. Smells clean & simple with very good quality. suitable for any time any where. very versatile & easy to go. I liked it.

It reminds me of Dior Homme cologne, just a refreshing lemonade summer scent. Very pleasant and lasts a good while (6-7 hours on my skin) for a summer freshie. Plus it's super cheap, what is there not to like?

It's one of the nice to have sportive/ casual fragrances. It's not a fresh or sharp type of sportive/casual fragrance, but rather deep--mainly because of the leather note. This blend is quite unique.

Got this on a blind buy and definitely did not regret it. I always get compliments when I wear this. It's so fresh and sporty, really gives out a clean manly smell to it. Seriously love this scent.

Indeed i find a minimal "metallic" note in a cold and luminous note in every moment, i like this version. Versatile, fresh but not generic, easy to enjoy and finally i feel a smell of wellness..

Is it just me or does this smell very similar to Mandarino Di Amalfi by Tom Ford? I smell mandarin in this throughout and green tea notes upon dry down. It may be a little stronger than MDA.

This is my swiss knife scent. It's classy and not so sporty, it's interesting and everybody likes it. I can wear it all year round, spices and leather make it perfect even for the cold.

Been really new to perfume world, but fell for this perfume. Really different smell, just love it. could have been really awesome if it lasted longer.. :)

Better than the original version! I think it ́s excelent!!! Strong projection, moderate to heavy sillage and long lasting longevity! Perfect for summer!

this fragrance is unique and seductive! i'm so in love with it , it projects very well and lasts for good 5-6 hours , good for summer daytime.

Rochas Aquaman re-bottled and slightly reworked. This one feels rounder and more complex, but yet the similarity is striking.
