Jacomo for Men

I found this frag by fluke, I was looking for something else and tucked away was Jacomo for men. It was sealed so I made a blind purchase. I have to agree with AntonisZ...It really is a real Gem from Jacomo. At first I thought it was going to have a similar aroma like Jacomo by Jacomo. After spraying it on my skin, I did find it slightly sweet but 10min later this frag took off being a real AMAZING FRAGRANCE !!!! The combination of sweet notes plum, Tonka beans and Amber with spicy notes of pimento and black pepper makes this frag A TRUE CLASSIC from Jacomo. Longevity is beyond 8hrs...excellent. Sillage is sufficient enough so it isn't heavy. Overall thoughts, All I can say is try to find and buy it you won't regret it. This frag has modern scent, yet you can still pick up a touch of old school aroma being slightly more sweeter and spicer then most frag when you first spray it on. To me this frag is perfect during the fall/winter days. Guy's listen up !!!! If you want to spice up your evening, spray some on your body and watch your partner react..you'll be amazed. In my books this frag is beyond anything I've ever seen from Jacomo...BRAVO 100% EXCELLENT AND BEYOND !!!!

This is "a hidden gem" as others have correctly stated already. However I will disagree with those who have wrongly judged it as predominantly sweet. I think there's a distinction between a perfume being "warm" from "sweet". Here's a successful marriage of earthy - woody - fruity notes which result to a warm blend that's probably mistaken for sweet. A warm and spicy fragrance, ready to charm all of us who care to have such masculine blend in our wardrobe, instead of those sickening sweet trendy perfumes. It's an overpowering and long lasting perfume, so you'd better apply it modestly, especially during the hotter times of the year. Yes, I'm suggesting that's an all season fragrance: I'm using it today where we have about 29C sunny weather and I can assure you that it's "behaving" properly under these conditions! Another thing I like in this scent is its resemblance to another favorite from Ferre - "In The Mood for Love", although I find Ferre's perfume heavier and better for wintertime. Jacomo for Men is definitely a quality EDT and its very affordable price makes an excellent value for money! My rating: 8/10

Jacomo for Men is one of my favorites. The notes blend so well to produce a very smooth semi-sweet,slightly spicy aroma. The coffee note is not too heavy which is a good thing as coffee can sometimes drown out other notes in a fragrance. There is just enough nutmeg, pepper and pimento to give it a bit of spiciness. Longevity and projection are very good. Not too many seem to know about this gem which is good. @ edge42 I have both Baldessarini Ambre and Jacomo and I don't find them that similar. They are both very smooth, but that's where it ends to me. Ambre has vey boozy and aged Bourbon barrel smell. Ambre also isn't spicy. It's more of a serious smell. I say still get Ambre.

Let me just start by saying I LOVE this scent. But I'm afraid I may have gotten a bad bottle or I get almost instantaneous olfactory fatigue as I can't smell it for more than a few minutes after applying. What the...! Today I used 5 or 6 sprays which is about double what I usually do and I still can't smell it. This was in my wife's top 7 of over 50 fragrances we tested as well, second only to the incredible Lanvin Arpege Pour Homme in the heavy-hitting Oriental category. The smell is one of the best ever, but perhaps I got a dud. Jacomo for Men is good enough that I will buy another bottle just to make sure though.

I disagree that this is a “mature” scent. In fact, there is something in here very similar to Abercrombie woods. With that said - this is spicy plum. A hint of sweetness from the plum/Tonka - nice woody backbone. In all honesty, this is probably one of the best I’ve tried this year. I also absolutely love that this is a subtle scent - it’s not going to clear out a room, but if someone ventures close to you, they’ll stay there. I will say - the plum is in the same vein as John Varvatos vintage. It’s on the sharper side than the smooth/Smokey side (like plum japonais) at any rate - Top notch - buy it. 8/10

Just tried it. Based on the opening......hmmmmmm I think..... Jacomo Men is going to see some use this summer. Me Likey lol Excellent Blind Buy. PS To compare it to Aventus, C'mon. All people do by comparing anything with the House of Creed is raise the readers expectations. Expectations lead to disappointment. I mean who wouldn't want to pay under 40 bucks for a Creed Frag? To my nose... Jacomo For Men is Jacomo For Men and it is a good scent. The entire time that I've been typing this I've been burying my nose into my arm checking this out. Once more I say I Like it. Dries very nicely

Hold the presses!!!!!! Wow!!!! One of my best blind buys. Powdery sweetish fruity... VERY VERY nice!!! It reminds me a lot of Amouage Dia (which I have... but Dia is a bit more smoother, richer and sweeter). Both elegant scents!! If I knew about this Jacomo scent earlier, I would not have bought the Amouage. Jacomo even lasts longer then the Amouage... I get about 6 to 7 hours.... Amouage 3 to 4 only. Fantastic scent by Jacomo!!! 2 thumbs up!! You won't regret it if you love sweetish fruity powdery scents. My lady co-workers complimented it each time I wore it. Blind buy worthy!

How similar is this to Baldessarini Ambre? That's been on my blind-buy wanted list but now I'm not sure I want it anymore, as Jacomo for Men is outstanding! Only initial impressions so far, but this stuff is gorgeous. Unlike some well-reviewed fragrances I've sampled recently, this one definitely lives up to all the positive reviews. Really like this so far! More later... BTW: Jacomo Rouge is also very good, and women seem to love the stuff.

An odd fragrance with fruity, spicy and sweet accords recalling some top fragrances, but with a lousy performance. A disappointing gem.

I love it! It's original, sweet, exotic and masculine scent. It grows on you! Btw. I think Jacomo is really underrated brand.

This is another striking Jacomo creation for men, right up there in desirability with Jacomo de Jacomo and Jacomo Rouge. This is much closer to Rouge though, with Jacomo For Men being sharper and sweeter but just as compliment-worthy. It’s not quite as sweet or cloying as Pi or Arpege Pour Homme and I guess an adventurous woman could use it too, but it is still overtly masculine IMO. I also get the resemblance to Lancome Miracle Homme, not necessarily in detail but in overall impression. What I like most about this fragrance is its sheer versatility and wearability. Other than as a sport fragrance, I don’t think it would be out of place anywhere - it can easily be used all year round as a casual and/or workhorse fragrance day or night, and at the office; and I also think it’s special enough to be used for formal occasions and sensual enough for clubbing too! The large silver lid and heavy glass bottle inlaid with a metal plate on the side deserve special praise indeed for their beautifully supercool design. Very good longevity (8 hours or more with a few modest sprays) and decent sillage too, and like Jacomo fragrances generally, the price is entirety reasonable. All in all, this package is gorgeous and highly recommended, especially to all those who like their fragrances on the sweet side.

عطری با کیفیت و مناسب قیمت (در بازار ایران)، کمی رسمی با رایحه‌ی قهوه شکلاتی. پخش بوی ملایمی دارد و ماندگاری هم چندان چشم‌گیر نیست. اما برای استفاده‌ی روزانه عطر مناسبی است. ضمن اینکه نت‌های درج شده بر روی تستر این عطر با نت‌های درج شده در فرگرنتیکا مغایرت دارد. طبق آنچه خود شرکت جاکومو اعلام کرده نت‌های ابتدایی این عطر متشکل از برگ آناناس و چوب سدر، نت میانی متشکل از فلفل قرمز و قهوه و نت‌های پایانی متشکل از لوبیای تونکا و وتیور است. high quality and appropriate price, slightly formal, with a chocolate-coffee aroma. It has a moderate sillage and longevity. But for daily use it is good. In addition, the notes on the company tester conflict with the notes contained in this site. According to the Jacomo company, the initial notes of this perfume consisting of pineapple leaf and cedrat, middle notes are pimento and coffee, and the final notes consisting of Tonka beans and vetiver.

Fruity/creamy/smoky/spicy. On paper or clothing it can smell powdery. Quite strong and when applied around noon I can still smell it on skin at 1-2 am. The right woman could wear this. I gave this to my boyfriend and was too impatient to wait for him to try it so I did. On him the pineapple is sharp and tangy. Lots of nutmeg and the vetiver/pepper combination is quite smoky. Tart but creamy and softly spicy. On me this sccent is sweeter and more powdery. More plum and tonka. Vetiver is very present at first but mellows in the dry down. Still quite woody and aromatic which I like. I'm a fan of all the vetiver in Mitsouko. If you are a female interested in trying this you must like assertive scents. This is not sweet in a sugary sense. The pineapple retains it's sharpness and the plum is more like a spiced plum jam.

Sweet pineapple is what I get most out of this fragrance. It's somewhat syrupy and medicinal but it's subdued without becoming cloying. In some ways I wish this fragrance would be thicker and explode with ripened sweetness but I can see how that would become cloying quickly for many people. Longevity is good but this is one fragrance I get olfactory fatigue from rather quickly as edge42 has stated and I tried two bottles and they've both been like that so he definitely didn't get a bad bottle. I think while you may have trouble smelling it, others around you will pick it up. For the money, this is a good fragrance that's worth a try. It smells more expensive than it actually is.

Firstly, I read the reviews here. Then I proved this scent in a shop. It's a good mature perfume (35y+), but on my skin it became completely different from what I had read. Fortunately, sweetness is low, much lower than La Nuit or CH men, for instance. I dont detect the pineapple. I detected roasted grain, which I suppose be the coffee. This fragrance is elegant, mature, dry but not very spicy. The only problem is the limited longevity and sillage.

Kind of elegant. Nice, and balanced. Imagine all the given notes above being perfectly balanced, with none over-loud but nonetheless present: this is what I get from this fine fragrance. Very enjoyable. Certainly worth the purchase.

Is there anybody else like me who can barely smell a thing after 10 minutes? Too bad, so damn good yet it disappears in the blink of an eye!

With all the mixed reviews , I guess you can say it smells like a bottled fart in my opinion now everyone lets go to the kitchen and fart in a old spaghetti jar seal and come back to smell a week later and there you have it Jacomo

Nice pineapple / dark fruit scent - though if you blink, you'll miss it. Longevity is only about 30 mins on my skin. A pass for me. Will not buy another bottle.

Omg. What a surprise! This is so not what I expected. This starts off in the direction of the sweet, heavy frags currently in vogue and producing sickening scent clouds in duty-free shops. Before it's even out of the gate it goes in a totally different direction. Thank god there's no vanilla or caramel or marshmallow in this. That's precisely what would have pushed this into Paco Rabanne teen territory. Instead it mixes boozy fruit with warm spices and a deeply resinous, clean vetiver that gestures ever so subtly toward soapiness. There's also a hint of acidic-pepper sharpness that melds with the pineapple to keep it edgy. You might think that it's cloying. On the contrary, it's just deeply, richly fruity. This is fresh and deep at the same time. The light top notes don't rest on top of the base notes, they burrow down into them, melding with them, creating something very complex. This reminds me a lot of Frapin's 1270 and Passion Boisée, and can easily hold its own next to them. Indeed, if anyone had told me that this was a Frapin, I would have believed it instantly. This is ridiculously luxurious, rich, and heady. I get a lot of fruit brandy. I'm not an office person, but I don't think this would be an office frag. It's simply too indulgent. It is not bland. It is not subtle. It is commanding and stout, yet graceful and not the least bit boisterous. It's a quiet, regal giant. It is a perfume lover's scent. It's an insanely fabulous scent for the price. I probably wouldn't wear it in warmer months, but now that fall is just around the corner, this is being put into heavy rotation. I echo the other comments that this is a hidden gem.

Very spicy, kinda sweet-smelling juice that would suit mature men (45+). First sniff on my wrist after one spray gave me the impression that this is 90's perfume that is somewhat similar to the likes of Charlie, Jovan, etc. I don't like this, another one for Christmas gift to a family member. Got it for $39, so I'm lucky I didn't spend that much on a cheap, synthetic mess. Longevity: 4/10 Sillage: 4/10

Fragrance different with its own personality, behaved and elegant.

It smells as a total crap but I guess the price is totally corresponding to the quality. I have more than 100 fragrances at home and so far this is the worst. Basically, you do not get any specific notes, only synthetic spiciness (typical for a cheap fragrance). Do not even bother smelling it, it is not worth it.

Jacomo for Men (Silver) starts with a loud dusty, spicy sweetness. It's almost powdery. The combination of spice and sweetness creates a pink bubblegum accord (no joke). It's very reminiscent of the pink bubblegum accord in 1 Million. Before veering off into the hyper-sweet Paco Rabanne trend of modern mens' fragrances, the heart notes smooth over the sweetness and give Jacomo for Men a softness that gives it a very mature feel. The tamed sweetness continues down this path until it gets to a common amber drydown. This is a wonderful office fragrance for ages 25+ really. It's not offensive and stays close to the skin. Something special about Jacomo for Men is that NONE of the notes stick out. They all complement each other and there isn't one note that dominates the whole fragrance. Equally unisex. It will work well with either gender because it's a very balanced fragrance. It doesn't veer off into musky, spicy woods or edible sugar load sweetness. Be warned, it's on the more mature side. It's certainly not a "fun and clubbing" type scent. Perfect for office or a dinner date with lots of other people. It's rather classy.

A nice & different addition to my growing collection. Fruity sweet opening (pineapple, plum) and just a little spicy (black pepper). At middle, it reveals a mellow & clean aspect with the sweet fruity top notes (present all the way down) combined with just a bit amount of pimento & nutmeg (I didn't felt the coffee there) and a touch of needed vetiver, that keeps the whole to become overly sweet. An oriental base of tonka bean & amber that reminds me sort of Allure's dry down. Overall an interesting fruity-sweet combination (pineapple-plum-pepper-vetiver-tonkabean-amber are the most obvious for me), with just the right amount of sweetness (not a cloying one, more like a honeydew type), a beautiful package at a very good price. My first rank 7.5/10. ☣☣ p.s. It has very little in common with Lancome Miracle which is far better for me (in my top 5) being more smoky, spicy & woody than this one, not to mention coffee note - more obvious in L.M. Edit (20.10): gave it away to a good friend, not much excitement, no regrets.

My bottle arrived about 2-3 hours ago and I am more than a little pleased with this blind buy! This is a mature scent, rugged but refined.Jacomo frags have an all occasion feeling to them,but this one is meant for your dressier moments!Not a scent for the clubs or mall it smells more higher end bar or lounge. The fragrance pyramid is correct by my nose; the cedar is most noticeable and pleasing to me. A gentleman rouge's scent, not strictly by the book but orderly & elegant.I will definitely buy this again and for $23.00 + free shipping for a 100 ml you could most definitely do worse!Daddy smells like this when he's going to close a sweet deal then go out for a night on the town and you will smell like a man of note! Thomas Crowne would wear this, it would be best worn ANYTIME esp. Fall/winter days or nights. I Hope you decide to try it as well.WELL DONE Jacomo WELL DONE. the 3 sprays I tried are making me very pleased!!! The bottle is pretty snappy too and is front and center on my fragrance tray...

A little-known gem, and inexpensive too. No, the ingredients are not niche quality, but they are certainly good enough for this formulation. It takes a while for this one to warm up, probably due to the amber, and then it lasts a long time. Projection ("sillage") is quite good but never too strong (though I need an extra spray). The dynamism and balance of the notes, all of which I like except vetiver, is great. Here, the vetiver plays a great role, providing "structure" without being so strong that it quickly becomes irritating (as I find most "vetiver fragrances"). And it's great for just about any occasion, just as long as your spray accordingly. I think of it as Jacomo's "answer" to the original Dior Homme, back at a time when companies didn't make nearly exact dupes, but instead tried to do something a bit similar but clearly unique.

Fruity, slightly sweet and very complex. Syrupy pineapple, hints of plum, spice and a warm peppery note create an attention grabbing opening. As the fruity sweetness abates, a dry, warm roasted coffee bean accord and a touch of dry woods jump out from the base and mix with the fruits and spice creating a very pleasant and balanced aroma. Well into the drydown, tonka and amber get a bit powdery on my skin and help the pepper and spice balance out the fruity sweetness. Overall, this is a hidden gem from Jacomo with a little something for everyone. Jacomo has been crafting many great yet under appreciated fragrances that sadly go unnoticed. Everyone should make an effort to try at least one Jacomo fragrance. You may just discover a new love. Score 6/10

I blind bought this one. To me it is a modern but somewhat mature fragrance. It has conflicting notes, fruity and spicy. When I say conflicting I simply mean I can tell both these opposing notes are not blended into a single smell, which cause it to change on my skin quite a bit. Its definitely masculine and I understand why some consider it a safe scent. For me its a welcome addition, its a spicy and semi-sweet fragrance in a similar way that D&G the one is... but the smell is closer to Baldessarini Ambre but better, smoother and easier to wear. The longevity is quite impressive ( esp. given the price) and it turns really smooth after several hours. I recommend it as a semi-formal spicy fragrancebut there is nothing really ground breaking. 9/10

I agree with the comment comparing it to Ferre's In The Mood for Love Man (2011), though the Ferre has a distinct lavender-orange blossom accord as their main difference. Bugatti Homme (2006) is like a cousin to Jacomo Men (2007), they were staples at low end department stores back then.. I see quite a lot of comparisons to Lancome Miracle Homme and I somewhat agree, though I can just say Miracle lacks a clear woody base, hence smelling rather transparent.. Jacomo Men isn't really a sweet coffee gourmand compared to, say, Givenchy Play Intense (2008), Mugler A*Men series, Givenchy Very Irresistible for Men (2005). I think Jacomo Men has a more mature, less sweet vibe.

This is another case of sweetness relativity. I'm used to sweet fragrances, and this is not especially sweet. In fact, the lack of overtsweetness is one thing I like about it. It seems to take a few minutes to warm up, but then the wafts you get are really nice. I've tried several coffee fragrances and this is my favorite of the bunch. I can understand how some could say it lacks character, if you are used to fragrances with some sort of powerful kick to them (which this doesn't have). It's just a great accord that I've never come across before.It is pretty long lasting, cool bottle, and not too hard to find.It`s really good!

Derivative but Venerable I'm amazed that nobody has drawn a comparison to L'instant de Guerlain, the beginning is very sweet but soon it morphs into a 70% percent chocolaty damp version of earthy 98% chocolaty LIDG, the drydown is mostly tonka on my skin and in this phase it's a skin scent with 5 sprays Longevity around 6 hours projection an arm length for 1 hour then stays close(read it classy) age range: Plus 25 Value for the Money: 10 Out of 10 Year round minus hot summers

Fresh citrusy - spicy opening, then slowly fade away. kinda soft tonka/coffee in powdery layers. It has characater. in my skin, the heart notes is soft powdery vetiver... office wear, safe but still attract the attention.

Of all the fragrances of Jacomo felt this was the most elaborate. His touch of coffee reminds Very Irresistible Givenchy. It is comfortable to use, nothing more.

Forgot to add: it's easily a 6-8 hour fragrance despite its very low price.
