Bogart CityTower

My bottle of City Tower went from rags to riches. I now consider it a new old friend. Bogart really is a hilariously self-unaware fragrance house packed with in your face cheapies that make a statement. All Gallic balls to the wall and retro 1970s bottles. I embrace vaguely disgusted sniffs I hear when I walk into a busy store having sprayed 8 blasts of the genuinely wonderful One Man Show Oud Edition over my hair and face. Every now and again though, Bogart comes out with something very understated. Force Majeure was the slightly minty sports fragrance I wear to bed in the summer and nowhere else. Alongside it was City Tower. CT sat in my fragrance box for about five years after its first wearing. Despite coming in a weighty bottle that could easily be used as a murder weapon, it was no more than vaguely plasticine tinged, slightly greyish water. The colour has changed in the following half-decade (it's now an increasingly bold mid-blue), so has the smell. Now it possesses moderate projection and smells like an inoffensive though thoroughly puzzling combination of smouldering sandalwood incense sticks, rubber bands and the leather on an expensive sofa from the 1980s. It's pleasant, nice, safe and completely versatile. It's as bland as a fragrance can be. You could wear it to any event at any time of year for any occasion. Nobody will hate it, some may love it and nobody will think you're out to steal their thunder. That full bottle is now one third empty as it has become my go-to of the moment. I've worn it out, to work, to dinner, to a funeral, the cinema, breakfast and a bar mitzvah. Far from being unloved and lonely, City Tower now sits on my desk next to a select bunch of Penhaligon's Legacy of Petra, Quorum, Dior Homme Eau For Men, Azzaro Pour Home and Boucheron Jaipur EDP as the bottles I sniff when I need some comfort.

Epic Journey Into the Bottled Yonder, 114 ------------------------------------------------------- Purchased August 2019 Beginning to hate this site... What's with the accord ladder up there? Fresh spicy? "THIS" is "fresh spicy"....? How? I'm waiting. Ok I'll explain.. It's an incensed oud. Not smoky as hell, but more dark woody powder as hell supported by the incense and then the oud, "and" some leather! This isn't for children, it's not for boys, it's not for men but for those who underSTAND what this hobby is about. When hidden gems like these are thrown out there it's up to us to discover them, and hell yes we'll eventually seek you and destroy. Because this destroys every room I enter, nobody questions it because it's confidence in a bottle. It's the type of scent that elevates your natural born qualities, the things nobody questions, that's what I mean by that thing above. Legitimately a you-won't-know-until-you-know frag. You don't walk into a room and people question your sense of style, manliness, attitude, perspective, your existence on this earth. CityTower reveals that to you and apologises to nothing. But goddamn is this a comforting scent also. Pure luxury and relaxation. This isn't for the office, but it can be daily worn, not sure about signature wear. If this site had another favourite frag slot this would obviously go in there next to my choice of Arabian Nights. Yes I know most of these comments came in previous 4 years, but all of you don't understand what an opposite-of-hyped, real man's fragrance that was new was like, and somehow this is from 2008. Talk about magic. This was preposterously ahead of its time. Modern classic hands down, not often this can be said. Atomiser even oversprays for you.

Oh, these fragrances by Jacques Bogart. How not to sigh by thinking about so many powerful, masculine and stunning creations? I am aware that there are people who don't like any of them; many are actually synthetic, in some way, but as they say: "what would be of the yellow if everyone liked the blue?". In 2008, when some companies began to use the note of Agarwood, the brand has released City Tower, also exploring the note that made a revolution in perfumery. Bogart City Tower was inspired by global trends: Blue buildings, the luxury of Dubai and the stunning and modern skyscrapers around the world. It has the perfect harmony between the concept of the city, its architecture and its towers. In its composition, notes of bergamot, pink pepper, and frankincense, in the output. The heart warms the chest with nutmeg, cardamom, and geranium. All this rests on a soft base of musk and leather, along with the richness of oud, which comes hand in hand to labdanum and its ambery and oriental consistency. On my skin, it behaves like a true oriental-spicy scent, with creamy nuances – like almonds – around hot spices. During various moments of the evolution, it is possible to feel a nuance of vanilla, although it does not exist. To give an idea of the fragrance, I felt a certain similarity with Body Kouros and Laguna Homme, mixing the nuances of labdanum and nutmeg from both. The surprise was the projection, which I found more contained, if compared to the other creations of the House. But don't be fooled: exudes very well and has the typical lasting power of a Bogart scent. The bottle began one of the visual lines of the brand, of which Riviera Nights and Arabian Nights are part of.

City Tower smells far better, is far stronger, and is longer lasting than it has a right to be at its price point (barely more than $20 for 100mL). It could easily be passed off as an EDP. Sprayed it on before bed, and yup, still there in the morning. I ordered this because the notes are very similar to Amouage Epic Man. I can't afford to drop that much on a fragrance, so thought this had the potential to be a decent alternative, especially since Bogart seems to have a reputation for powerhouses. The bottle is deceiving. There is nothing light or aquatic or blue about this fragrance. It is a purely oriental concoction. I find that it seems to be a well blended combination of Epic Man and Penhaligon's LP No.9. Very spicy and incensey, announced with an opening of pink pepper. The drydown remains strong and distinctive, with the musk coming through. I don't get much leather. The oud is a bit understated I think, but it is there. I could do with a bit more. Spices rule. And they last forever. City Tower won't replace Epic Man (it doesn't really touch the luxury or quality of Amouage), and I still have my eye on that one . . . but at least this will hold me over for a while, and will be something to wear when I don't want to use up the really pricey juice. It really is a great frag. Definitely worth the buy. Even blind. I got my bottle at Cheapsmells, but the best price I could find was at Scentsations of Troon.

I blind bought this one at a discount from local store. I didnt have a clue what I was exactly getting, but have always wanted to test any Jacques Bogart fragrance. I am not going into the notes breakdown, but instead the feeling this scent gives me. Even though it is a fairly modern design, instantly at the very first test spray I was transported in my mind into a 70's cafe with leather boothes, at a time when people smoked inside. It just gives me a 'funky' vibe. I dont really know why, since I wasnt even born in 70's 😀 It really is kinda unique, at least I dont think I've smelled anything very similiar recently. Edit: After a few wears this fragrance has really grown into me. I love it, especially the dry down. Initially I felt like I dont like fragrance, but after some wears my mind has changed completely. Anyway I'd recommend to test this one before blind buying,even though it was a cheapie buy (around 13€ for 100ml). Longevity is amazing on my skin. Right now I've passed a 9-hour barrier and still can smell it easilly from 20cm away on my forearm. Projection was quite average, and the scent projected for a way above average time.

Used for the first time , pleased instantly . Personally , I barely feel the bergamot and the flowers , and had almost from start a clear feeling of almond , not listed ... it ́s the interaction of cardamom and nutmeg , no doubt . That almond sugestion is sometimes nutty , others a marzipan presentation , and that reminded me of Cerruti 1881 Black . this phase gives gently a change to the smoky and oud final . Nothing is very dominant , I think , and the coexistance of several notes which alternate gently for dominance is very interesting . Long lasting , I still smell it and this is the following day . Used perhaps half of what I usually do , but then I always spray on clothes . Not expensive , good presentation after all , a touch of oud and many other good things , versatile , good for almost all situations , rich , pleasant and long lasting .

rich, smokey, citrus, spicy, woody, musky but no single tone is high or less, scent is moderate (heavy to some people) and not at all something sweet to smell... But the language! the secret language of a perfect perfume to become a perfume exist beneath the fog of it's smell... the name does indicate that core truth of this perfume. "City tower" the name indicate to a central point, which is exactly how this perfume really works for you. use it, go somewhere in bunch of people, discover the new you at the center, full stop. for warm (strong in personality) men. being masculine not necessary. but the language does really present a important man at the center like a important tower makes the center of a city. not at all a sweet thing to smell, not for all. precious to leaders, politicians or even mafia don.

Very good scent for the price. Strong and fruity with some warmth but has heavy green notes that make it edgy and almost fresh rather than sweet-fruity. Fairly linear on me. It reminded me a bit of Jazz Prestige, but I prefer CityTower to JP. I don't get any cardamom or much leatheriness in here. It is very strong initially and has excellent projection for a number of hours. With 2 sprays it was still strong on my skin at 11 hours and still projecting quite well. Stays strong on skin for around 14 hours and still projects but only an inch or two by then. I could still just about detect it on my skin the next day (21 hours). Overall I'd describe this as strong, moderately fresh and green/fruity. If used very sparingly this is great stuff and I will definitely buy it again.

I agree with RobbieX's scent assessment. I want to love this thing but it went silent and deep on me after about an hour. That is when it turned skin scent and now 3 hours later I cannot smell it at all either on my skin or on my shirt. But, the scent is fabulous. Frustrating. I'll keep trying it for a a while and if it changes on my skin, I'll re-critique it. After many months of wearing City Tower I have come to like it a great deal. I find that it is a more serious smelling fragrance. I wear it at work and sometimes when I go out for the night. I have had a few compliments with it, but I really wear this one for me. Unique and pleasant.

Its very good. They took Bogart pour homme and build on it ,very good blending . A smoke and plastic notes . Its synthetic, but very good Bogart pour homme is brilliant but very casual this is more upgraded ..very long lasting ,performance is like Bogart pour homme. But after 4 hours it calms and becomes really butifull when all the notes and textures meld together fantastically And Still has a good silage But never get offensive its a very nice smell. This is different from Bogart pour homme don't think that if you like one you will like the other they just share the same vanilla cherry like base. Very recommended to my taste...enjoy

To me, this is very similar to Lolita Lempicka Au Masculin. I own Midnight in Paris and Bvlgari Black, but I’m failing to make much of a connection with these. Great looking bottle! Ps. I’m surprised that star anise, or anise isn’t a listed ingredient. If anything else occurs to me, I’ll write it down later. Update I take it all back. I can see why people make the comparison to Bvlgari Black. To me, it’s like a hybrid of Bvlgari Black (or MIP) and Au Masculin. Longevity’s respectable, but not spectacular. One thing that I cannot detect is honey! Lol! Overall, a good, no nonsense scent for most occasions.

There is nothing really like this. City Tower opens with a burst of boozy fruits & citrus with smoke, woods and nuts. Then it goes peppery, woody and nutty - a bit like Antonio by AB. It's almost a gourmand. I don't get much leather here. The drydown is soft, mellow and distinctly nutty with some wood and a bit floral in the background. Later on I get fragrant spice and ...whoopee.. some soap. Great for wintertime. It's quite an experience smelling the development of City Tower on my skin. An unusual, unique strange and complex fragrance that evolves and lasts and it has a lot of character.

Wow! The combination of notes are resulting in a refined blend which perfectly resembles the marketing concept. Highrise modern skyscrapers are awe inspiring but also very cold and somehow distant. This fragrance to me smells like a 1970`s big city scenario, like Chicago or NYC. Very manly, bit rough, no sweetnes at all, aromatic, powerfull, mysterious. Cigarette smoke, steel, beton, plastic, glass and neon lights. Even a bit of gunpowder lingering in the air after a recent mob hit around the street corner. Extremely creative & brave release with a great performance also. Bravo!

Beautiful fragrance by Jacques Bogart, I agree with the Bvlgari Black comparison, it has some leathery-rubbery texture to it too. But the opening, I can't help thinking about Azzaro Visit (interestingly both are made by Annick Ménardo). It could be summed up as a the spicy slightly smoky incense and dusty nutmeg of Azzaro Visit poured on the leather and rubbery vanilla of Bvlgari Black. The drydown is amazing, reminiscent of some nightclub or bar, with the smell of leather jackets and couches, smoke swirling in the air, cocaine on the table...

I managed to find a 2009 bottle and it's fire. Incensy oudy spicy version of the Bogart Pour Homme, and a good one. Great performer too for a somewhat "vintage" fragrance that was macerating for 16 years inside a bottle before my debut. Update 12/22/2025: I don't find it redundant to the BPH, it's quite different, way more balsamic and spicy. Musky leather is there but not very prominent to my nose until very late in the drydown. Good scent, has an ambered warm spicy soapy clean vibe to it that I enjoy very much with the cold weather.

To me it evokes a imagine of walking around NYC in the late 90s during christmas times. Christmas lights everywhere, kids playing in the street throwing snowballs, conan o brien interviewing drew barrymore on television, and just happy times. and i know this is oddly specific, but its what i get, and for this its sort of a happy but melancholic fragrance to me. A reminiscence of the happy innocent days

it was hard but suddenly i realized that the first notes smells (for me) like joop pour homme, but it lasts only a few seconds. The middle notes, has a similarity with le male. It is a personal impression, it isn't an obligation that you do the same. Maybe if you're looking for something "similar to..." well, this is my humble contribution.

To add to review below: This is a lovely, woody/nutty fragrance for men that is unique! Lasting power and sillage are excellent. You may not like this at first but stick with it - it's a grower. I think this is very unusual but CityTower is a lovely scent!

The liquid in my bottle is greenish - not blue as above. Can anybody tell me - is that right for them - Please email me.

I am on my second bottle. I think this is a very versatile scent. Great for any situation, particularly work.

City Tower is a little difficult for me to describe. First off, let me say that guys who enjoy scents like Joop Homme and Thierry Mugler Pure Malt will probaby play well with this one, although Bogart's creation is a little more subtle then the former mentions. The olfactory theme I get from this modern/Middle Eastern inspired scent is a smokey berry with a slight hint of industrial buried within. The oud is there, but it's blended with the incense, pink pepper and leather very tightly so that it doesn't grab you by the throat like other ouds; making this concoction the perfect introduction for men who are curious about oud fragrances, but previously may have been a little nervous about making the leap. City Tower is very modern smelling and isn't going to offend many people. I may go as far to say that this offering would be a little hard to overdo in the Fall and Winter because it sits a little closer to the skin (on me at least). Bogart's house claims that City Tower was inspired by the "contrasts and modern skyline of Dubai" (the Burj Khalifa is the world's tallest building). I can't say for sure regarding the smell because I've never traveled to the UAE, but if Bogart's house is correct, then sign me up cause it smells damn good! I could definitely see a slick haired Dubai businessman in a western suit smelling like City Tower. Women will find this fragrance handsome on a man, and I happen to enjoy wearing it.

I was very skeptical about City Tower, but I was pleasantly surprised. I really liked it, the more I wore the more I really appreciated it. Now I absolutely love it. I find this scent to be unsuspectingly unique and interesting. For those of you old enough to remember when smoking was allowed in buildings like airports, malls or city towers. This totally has that smokey vibe. Its a lingering atmospheric smoke that does not overwhelm but is present. I'm not (nor have ever been) a cigarette smoker but this does bring up nostalgia of a less regulated time that was a happy time. Along with this smoky note I am also getting a ozonic note, some citrus, nutmeg, soft leather, and mild pepper and woods. In the listed accords fresh spicy is the main accord. I personally do NOT, this of this a being fresh. It's not a dark scent by any means but I would not describe this a fresh. I highly recommended this to those that like other Jaques Bogart fragrances.

I randomly happened upon this perfume when visiting back home. The opening is akin to what one would associate with a traditional masculine perfume. It opens with very strong notes of pink pepper and bergamot. This fades within minutes to reveal a spicy, peppery sandalwood accord. The true beauty of this perfume, however, is only revealed upon its dry down when it gives way to the base notes. While the above description states oud, leather, musk and labdanum as the base notes what I smell is a creamy vanilla accord that sits close to the skin. The best way to describe this would be as the smell of wearing a freshly tumble dried cashmere sweater while standing in an ice-cream store. Its such a cozy and wearable gourmand that works perfectly as a scent to wear on a lazy day in. The only negative for me is the projection. While I enjoy it being a skin scent, I do wish it was a tinnyy bit stronger when it came to projection. =

This has been steadily moving up the ladder to my favorites shelf. Last year when I purchased City Tower, I thought it was just an OK scent. After coming back to it this Fall, my eyes have opened up a great deal to this unique fragrance. It really is an under the radar Mona Lisa. If longevity and projection were stronger, this scent would probably be a little better recieved. On the other hand however, it's minimalist persona is probably what makes this one so versatile in the Fall and Winter. Dress it up or dress it down. Either way, City Tower is a tour de force of different.

City Tower smells pretty good. I sense the Bulgari Black similarity. There is one note that I am not sure I like. The oud is forward for the entire length of the smell, disrupting the balsamic effect of the opening and middle. I have worn this infrequently for 18 months, but I have not given up on it yet. I still wear it when I am in for the night every 2 or 3 months, and each time my response is exactly the same. Sillage and Longevity are moderate. The liquid in my bottle is lavender. I am an admirer of the Bogart bottle and sprayer design. Always reliable and that is nice.

Fragrances are so crazy. I am getting something different from this after a year of having it. Someone mentioned it in a previous review here. You do get vibes of Le Male with this fragrance. Not a clone at all,and it is possible to like le male and not like this. Or vise versa. Also, I must agree with another previous review below; it is a grower. If you have it, try it again. Spray light (2x max--a beast here lol) and at a distance- 6 inches. Wait...wait...wait I said lol. Give it 20 mins... It is good scent with good quality if you hate or love it. YMMV.

Jacques Bogart City Tower... I for the love of all that's smelly can't understand why the most prominent main accord is supposed to be "fresh spicy". This scent is anything but fresh. It is warm spicy and creamy cozy woody. Tonka, Incense and although with it's own DNA and character it has similar touches with Joop Homme Absolute minus the Ylang Ylang note. It also shares similarities with Bulgari Black minus the rubber note and Pino Silvestre Perfect Gentlemen minus the nutmeg note. It is a good allrounder and good value for money.

Over the years my juice has changed color from the light blue-ish color to a dark grey-ish color. Still smells the same but lasts a wee bit longer. The woody note is very prominent feels ever so slightly fresh. City tower gets close to Midnight In Paris or Bvlgari Black and has that JB 20$ vibe but does not smell cheap at all. Has the best atomiser from the whole house... sprays a ton. Great fragrance when you don't know what to wear.

For me,City Tower is Midnight in Paris all the way,althought cheaper.This,sadly,is one of my least favourite frag(and also MIP is),cannot withstand the rubber incense feel that this fragrances give.It is also very linear and the Oud in it is weak like no other.It is classy,i admit that,maybe is the most elegant,with Riviera Nights,of the recent JB products,but we don't share sympathy.

This is a bipolar type of scent. The dry down is much different from the opening. The opening is fresh and woodsy but then later on it becomes a dark smokey scent which is nice. At the end of the day this is still pretty tame and can be worn at the city tower office and indoors close to others. It's not as crazy projecting as some of the other Bogart fragrances. I give this a 8.3/10

Bogart City Tower Smells same Like Bogart Pour Homme, But not strong as Pour Homme. This is soft. Projection is okie & Longevity is good. But Bogart Pour Homme has better Projection than this. Cos Projection is a must for perfumes, so this one has less Projection. If u want smooth & soft smell then this is for u.IF u want stronger mean Then go for Bogart Pour Homme. I Like it.

I like City Tower but I have to say I like the opening notes more than the dry down. On me it dries to a VERY strong musky leather and it lasts FOREVER. A shirt in the hamper for two days still has the aroma on the sleeves where they rubbed on my wrist... I got it for less than $15 so I am very happy with it!

Thank you @elGonzo. Almond is the mystery nutty note I could never identify. I assumed it was an unusual iteration of nutmeg. It is a good scent. Not great but wearable and a nice change of pace in cooler weather.

Not a bad scent but nothing wow. It reminds me a bit of the OG Jacques Bogart pour homme but with an added spicy/geranium and leather backbone and it's less sweet. Has some vague reminiscing of Bvlgari Black (Powdery tonka), but only in the opening that's all (5mins). If you have the original Bogart Pour Homme, this is redundant to have, for me they smell 70% alike, and the OG smells of higher quality. It smells cheap and quite boring. Longevity is also lacking.- i have a 2015 bottle.

Because of the cheap price I had assumed that it would smell cheap too. Later I saw it in the discounters for a ridiculous price of less than $6, with the winter approaching I did purchase it. I'm pleased to say that it's a successful blind buy. City Tower first of all doesn't smell cheap. It lasts long, performs well with moderately strong projection. Smells nice, mature and confident. It's along the lines of Cerruti Bella Notte and 24 Go Dark. Recommended.

Very weird fragrance, smells a little more complex than a cheap parfume, there aren't really any "catchy" notes that draw attention... like, if I have to give it an honest rating, it's literally one step better than smelling like nothing or smelling like a bad perfume. It's good if you only care about smelling like something. It's just very, very bland and boring. And it doesn't last long either. Definitely do not recommend, if you want to buy a cheap fragrance, go for One Man Show by the same brand, it's a million times better.

I smell the oud and nutmeg. Um this isn't what i thought it would smell like. Smells like oud, nutmeg and roses.... I wouldn't buy this ever again. It does last really long thou. Scent: 6/10 Value: 7/10 Sillage: 7/10 Longevity: 7/10 Creativity: 5/10 Versatility: For anything & everything, at any time!

@ Shamus1 I agree this is horrendous, about the only frag I tried and cannot stand. Going to charity, but probably should go to the bin.

Inmediatly when sprayed it reminded me of Midnight in Paris as mentioned by many reviewers but, it was only a first impression. Later came to home and sprayed MIP on the other arm and well, the differences were notorious. The VC&A got florals (iris), leather and is sweeter, so the only notes shared with the Bogart are incense and almond (not listed but quite prominent). The most similar one I've tried to this is Givenchy's Pi, but that one is a touch sweeter and smoother (vintage), which btw doesn't mean City Tower is a bad option in the masculine oriental genre (and with a great price tag!). It also shares the 'laundry' vibe with its brother Pour Homme but in that one the tonka/lavender combo is just overwhelming to my nose, so if you're looking for a less in-your-face, a bit more refined and playful variant to the original (it's not a flanker, I know), this is a really solid option. 7,5/10 ------------------- Inmediatamente cuando lo rocié me recordó a Midnight in Paris como lo mencionaron muchos críticos, pero fue solo una primera impresión. Más tarde llegé a casa y apliqué MIP en el otro brazo y bueno, las diferencias fueron notorias. El VC&A tiene efectos florales (iris), cuero y es más dulce por lo que las únicas notas compartidas con el Bogart son el incienso y la almendra (que no está listada, pero es bastante prominente). This is quite creamy, sweet, and dense, and is dominated by a tonka/vanilla quality, though the bergamot and myrrh incense are obvious too. Some have compared it to Azzaro's Visit, but the dominant notes in Visit are wood, dry incense, and nutmeg (I also find Visit to have a slightly metallic quality). Some have said it's like a light version of Bogart Pour Homme, but I think of BPH as a floral tonka/pipe tobacco fragrance, whereas Citytower clearly is not. I don't get any strong wood notes at all. And I don't get the oud either, so I wouldn't even consider comparing it to M7. There is a hint of something leathery (don't expect Knize Ten type leather here). UPDATE: The One Gentleman is similar to this but less powerful and with softer blending. Since the density of these kinds of fragrances tends to bother me, I'd choose TOG over City Tower. UPDATE #2: I'm now finding that it's like a failed variation on Pi (compositionally) on a certain level, in that when I wore this I was thinking that Pi does this really sweet idea a lot better, with more contrast, more interesting notes, and a more natural feel.

I bought this based on reader reviews here, and I'd like to thank them for it. City Tower is a unique scent, in the sense that it has no clones in the market. The scent separates the men from the boys, as it is suited for the above 25 crowd. The initial burst of citrus and incense instantly catches one's attention, and it dries down to a nutty, peppery scent that is very elegant. An hour later, the combination musk and leather rears its head. The scent is very Mediterrenean, and it brings to mind warm, even hot, climes and whispering winds amidst infinity pools. Traces of labdanum wafts by every now and then, and the agarwood is faint, but it's there. This is a potent scent, so apply sparingly. I sprayed a tiny amount on my forearm, and 4 hours later it is still very much detectable. Jacques Bogart may not be as popular as other perfume houses, but I am definitely won over by City Tower! Any guess as to who created this fragrance?

This one is very close to Bogart Pour Homme. Just like BPH, it's main smell is HONEY (bee-honey). It's the same feeling as if you take a full-spoon of beehoney in your mouth... Mixed with something between menthol-eucalyptus-cinnamon flavor/smell... Not to forget the Cinnamon present in ALL Bogart perfumes and being the one thing that destrois them the most... In the end is just the honey.. I don't see why it would be so masculine to smell like bee-honey.... So, conclusion: this scent is not for men, neither for women, it's for children, kindergarden children that like to smell like honey. My favourite till now stays Burberry Brit for Him Intense. I blindly bought 7 Bogart perfumes in hope of reaching to something close to that one, but , no... Bogart is generally about Cinnamon, Menthol, Honey and sometimes chocolatey-smoke... I think Bogart should rather abandon perfume.production and get into food-industry...

Opens up with slight chocolate vibes, dries down to a kind of gourmand-woody type of scent, which is also very unique . No harshness or chemical smell which is common with cheap fragrances (mine was 11 € ). Also does not smell very middle-eastern, only slightly. Instantly got reminded of the Amoauge type of scents, as this smells something Amouage would make at much better quality. Thought that this would be some kind of Epic Man copy, as notes match, as well time of release is similar, and I would agree that Epic Man is the scent closest to Bogart city tower, thought not quite as similar as say Cool water is to GIT. Performance average, but for the price it is good. If performance was better, it could be some kind of new Bentley for men line flanker. Blended very nicely.

Very good buy! However, it represents all that Bogart scents! What is interesting to me is that there is a "tobacco" chord inside it .... I think this is caused by the incense blended with the oud and the labdanum ingredients ... I have after shave, but still one of the most favorite because it is powerful, masculine and yet sophisticated! + Even the tobacco feel ...... During the daytime, an Adidas Active Bodies mood appears in it, but there is no similarity ... the lack of pine is positive this evening .... I especially like it! J.Bogart products are wallets of friendly purchases and this is very sympathetic to me too !!! The scent is 7/10, but one of the after shave ones is 9/10! Overall, this is an 8/10 rating from me and I will re-buy it!

I really like this. A dusty, powdery, cardboard kind of smell. A musty leathery base combines well with the nutmeg. The rumbling oudy incense is blended beautifully with the geranium and cardamom - little hints of spicy pepper pop up from the smoky wood. It's vaguely medicinal but not to the extent of Guilty Absolut's cough-drop leather. A little hint of rubber maybe? But this pulls me in, it's cosy and warm, reassuring. As usual for a Bogart you can smell it and it lasts. A radical idea for a perfume it would seem.

City Tower (8G22) - This is a great scent. When I was a kid my Dad had a 1969 Super Bee with black leather bucket seats and one of those tree air fresheners hanging from the mirror to cover up the smell from ashtray. City Tower reminds me of that in the best possible way. This is great Woody/Leather/Smoky fragrance with killer performance and well worth giving a sniff.

City Tower is a like-not-love for me so far. I'm going to stick with it as many are reporting it grows on you. It smells a lot like Bvlgari Black to me, I'm not getting any resemblance to Le Male at all. I get the same soft vanilla and smoky rubber combo as Bvlari but City Tower seems a little more masculine and performs better for me.
