Epic Journey Into the Bottled Yonder, 138 ------------------------------------------------------- Purchased August 2019 Glad to have found this. No idea what to expect, but my favourite colour being green I had to know more. Wait, that says Bogart on the front? GIEF NAO! The main reason I love is because it smells damn near identical to Axe/Lynx Anti-Hangover. I wore that one all the time, and finally I get to have it again. Main difference would be this has less citrus and more pineapple, but it does have the same vibe. I could wear it like I'm a kid again, yet manly as fuck. Stay the fuck out my way when I'm wearing this. This is what it's about. A lush portrait of nature, suddenly it's moving and then you're inside of it. Trees swaying left and right, you're thirsty for a refreshing sip or two of something fruity. The landscape blows pine bark and some fern, not needles, down wind and that sip is going down your throat simultaneously. Zing! Boom! P O W ! You're instantly thumping your chest the way Tony the Big Foot hunter does. And that my friends is Anti-Hangover and Bogart Story Green. Plain fun.

Another beautiful powerhouse from Bogart. Everything about this is juicy, even the vetiver and woods in the dry down. The pineapple note is a bit oversized for the first 30 minutes, but it is a part of the unique-ness of this fragrance. You will never have someone come up to you and say "hey, that smells like _____", because nothing really smells like this. If you spray it on your shirt, you will still be able to smell it the next day - and you will love it, because the dry down is the best part.

if you guys love ultra male, the pineapple juice in that and la nuit/dunhill icon/le male essence's cardamom,and you cant afford any of those...get this one...its a little synthetic but so juicy and power packed version of all those...the big names are better in terms of quality and smell more upclass but this will beat the three big names except ultra male in performance category...love this scent.so good and lovable.thank you JB...ill be getting your whole line

This is the best of the Story line imo. Less cedar than the other two. This is fresh, green and soapy, later some woods come through. I have Red and Blue and now, Green. In order of my preference: 1.Green (Soapy, fresh, green) 2. Blue (Laundry, fresh, synthetic). 3. Red. (Woody, amber, fruity) The Green really stays fresh and is a lovely fragrance with a good performance. *Update* This has a definite touch of the lovely OMS Emerald

a cardamom version of ultra male by jean paul gaultier.not the same ofcourse but the performance in this is bomb. can be used all year round it will project like a beast.it also gives out the pan masala type of feel in the end...which is exotic.lovely burst of grapefruit and pineapple on the opening with cardamom...its a gem of a scent

Talk about bang for your buck this is a sweet fresh green woody tropical fragrance perfect for a breezy summer night.Will get you noticed for sure call it synthetic all you want but for the price it's great and not generic at all. I give this an 8/10 great for when you want to spray and go but don't want to be a basic bro lool

To add: I will be getting this inexpensive gem again. Yes it's cheap but it's still lovely. Story Green has got a nice character to it. It's better than some similar ones costing 3 times the price - don't under-estimate this juice.

This is great for the price. The main notes I smell are the pineapple and cardamom and vetiver. Its sweet and a little spicy and clean at the same time. I get good performance from it.

Jacques Bogart Story Green Men EDT opens with a moderate projection of sweet citrus, fruity and green accords. The grapefruit and pineapple are the opening notes, the grapefruit is more noticeable than the pineapple, the notes come up as synthetic, unnatural, sweet fruity accords as opposed to evocative of the actual fruits. The cardamom and nutmeg add a soft spicy accord. The geranium adds a floral and green accord. As the fragrance commences to dry-down, the cedar adds a fresh woody note and the vetiver a noticeable green and herbaceous note. The patchouli is a faint distant touch. The most noticeable openings to dry-down changes are the citrus note which is more prominent during the opening but it gradually dissipates letting the green and woody accords take the lead. Once Jacques Bogart Story Green has reached its full dry-down, it can be summarized as a moderate projection, synthetic, green (vetiver), and woody (cedar) fragrance with some citrus and spicy accords. The fragrance feels classy, clean, delicate, diurnal, earthy, grassy, herbaceous, inexpensive, masculine, mature, slightly sweet, synthetic, woody, and pleasant. It opens with a very alcoholic smell, which evolves into a citric green combination, but the green aspect is far more dominant and the citrus will either be unoticeable from time to time, or will hide in the background. As the name says, it is green, it is very GREEN. After some waiting it gets woodier and a little spicy but just a little bit. What I get at this stage is the Cardamom and the Nutmeg blending nicely with the green aroma. Slowly afterwards the two key players will be taking the lead and I am talking about the Vetiver and the Cedar. The Vetiver must had been giving this green aroma from the beginning but now it is finally clear who is responsible for the green freshness. On the other hand the Cedar is very much the Cedar you will smell in Lalique Pour Homme, very woody and as the scent will continue to evolve it will take over Vetiver. It is also slightly soapy but does not qualifie at all for a soapy scent, just a tiny bit of soapiness. As for the duration and performance I think it is average, I used two sprays on my hand almost 3 hours ago I will report back when it fades. When I first sprayed it, my dad said "Oh it reminds me of the after shave I once had". He was talking of Brut which I don't really agree but anyway. To sum up this baby is green (Vetiver),woody (Cedar),a little spicy (Cardamon,Nutmeg) with some citric elements and a hint of soapiness and of course fresh. Worths its price and it is another good offering from the house of Bogart.

This is synthetically sweet (pineapple) synthetically spicy (nutmeg) and even synthetically green (patchouli and vetiver). With that out of the way it is a good modern twist on a classic fougere style scent. It’s pretty vibrant, and pleasant in an unusual way. I must point out that on two separate occasions I have received compliments from male co-workers in that I smell really good. I honestly did not expect that from this fragrance, but I also suspect woman may not find it quite as nice as male counterparts. For the summer, this is a great option for cooler days and nights. Easily a solid casual wear for the spring. At the low price this can be picked up for, you would be hard pressed to find something that projects and lasts for as long. Worth a shot if you are into new takes on the classic fougere DNA. I feel this is a slight twist to a BRUT style, but replaces musky oak moss sharpness with a sweeter greener take. It’s a solid like in my collection.

I love Jelly Belly candy beans, they have one that tastes like popcorn through synthetic candy science. Does it actually taste like popcorn? No, it eludes to it in a magical sweet way that makes you instantly think, wow popcorn. Synthetic is a great description for most, because it is not natural in origin. I see lavender listed in so many fragrances. I know how lavender smells, I rarely get a natural lavender in a fragrance. I would not use the term synthetic to describe most well blended fragrances. Bogart Green has created a new twist on a classic fougere. I bought it when learning about fougere style scents, and it was flagged to be one. While it is not how I would perceive a fougere, it is a great modern spin that manages to hit that mark through some chemicals that make it a sweet BRUT, but much more wearable for today. Synthetic by no means translates to bad.

This Bogart story line is interesting, total oddball flankers. I own Green and Red, they are both very different. Green is kind of spicy, smells very Indian foodlike, there is a skank in the background, beneath the fruity, minty, fuzzy thing I am smelling. I like this but alot of western noses will not share my affection. It’s not a type of smell you would normally be exposed to, smells more like ingredients for some type of indian food, I get the pan massala smell, some type of anise in the background. When I first smelled it I really loved it. It’s like nothing else I own. But I would bet money that not everyone is going to be a fan, some will think it stinks.

This is the best Bogart Story over the other two, Red and Blue. The Green just smells more well done and it smells a lot less synthetic. I get like a really nice sweet pineapple but I get a dark sweet almost tonka bean dry down which is good but it's not tonka bean. The dry down is fantastic! This is bright and fruity in the opening but the dry down is dark and almost smokey. I like this more than the other two and this is very unique. It smells like a straight pineapple with some complimented notes. I've heard people say it smells Asian or Indian which is interesting. I like this one quite a bit! I give this a 8.9/10

Pleased with this cheapie as a blind buy. Makes me think of a neon-tinged candy forest -- a technicolor synthwave fougiental? (Yeah, I made that last word up... can't decide if it works lol) Anyhoo, I get a nice sweet-spice balance from the pineapple, elemi and cardamom. It's rich and a little too syrupy to call it a freshie, but not as heady as a real incense and resin-heavy oriental. I tend to habitually overspray but this is a scent that I think will perform best with some strict self-restraint. I find it fairly unisex just barely leaning male, but I like many men's fragrances for myself (female).

The last piece of this story....a green world!This is really the best one of the series,second Red and last Blue(in my opinion),the performances are always good and the scent is nothing groundbreaking but very confortable.....It's all around an intense green accord,smells almost like weed,fresh and erbaceous but smoky with the vetiver very dominant but not so earthy.Bravo Bogart.

This is my second Bogart (first was Signature). Blind buy that I like. Complex fragrance with simultaneous detection of distinct notes. Love that pineapple-grapefruit on top. Close resemblance to Cartier Declaration overall. Add this to your collection if you want a very distinctive, multi-faceted, and well-balanced scent.

Bogart Story Green is pretty nice. The cardamom is noticeable. It shares some of the same green qualities as One Man Show Emerald, I suppose the elemi and patchouli. It has just the right amount of pineapple blended in. Fairly good performance, a nice Bogart offering.

I would describe Story Green as fresh, green, sweet, and juicy. A very nice, warm weather casual scent that does not smell like anything else - it stands alone. Great performance, excellent price, and a cool, old-school bottle. Synthetic? Maybe, but who cares.

I like the tangy grapefruit note in this one. Very energising, fresh and clean. The performance is pretty amazing, but its not a “beast” that will overwhelm. Great daytime, summer fragrance.
