One Man Show Ruby Edition

I love the entire Bogart brand. I’ve never tried anything they have to offer and felt disappointed. Even One Man Show - Gold, which I originally did not warm up to, has come to be in my regular rotation. Having established that I’m a huge Bogart fan, I’ll address the latest of two juices I have put my nose to. OMS–Ruby blew me away. I was expecting just another monetizing flanker from another designer house, but seriously, Bogart knocked it out of the park with this one. I feel this is better than anything else in the OMS lineup save OMS–Oud. That’s also equally an excellent frag. It has all of the same appeal of the original OMS, but they have toned those notes down a bit and added some slight oud, heavy apple, and heavy honey. So what you end up with is the brashness of OMS original, but Ruby is tamed more into the direction of more broadly wearable with the sweet and woody notes from the honey and oud. Long lasting, wearable, inexpensive, unique. Voilà, it is in effect 1980 transformed into 2019; Marlboro-man is now Metro-man. If you are thinking about trying out some blended ouds then this would be a good place to start. Also, OMS–Oud and Dirty English are great oud places to start. There is no butterfly attracting horse manure smelling oud here (The likes of which I've been exposed to many times in my frag journey). As for any comments about “synthetic” vibes? Forgetabout it. Half of the best loved colognes are in the synthetic bandwidth but people still love them, as do I. You aren't going to find real angel tears as a component for $14. And for the price?!? When I first got this, I found it smelt like a freshly cleaned white t shirt (doesn't really smell like anything, just smells inoffensive and a little bit like bleach) and could barely smell it. I wanted this one for a while so I decided to wear this and could barely smell this. About an hour later I asked what my mom thought of it on me and she was across the room and said she was able to smell it off me across the house as soon as she got home. You get almost instant nose fatigue with this one and will be projecting all over the place without you having any idea. Lex Ellis also said this in his review. I find this to be a very classy sweet honey, slightest touch of oud, a bit of incense and a candy vibe from the apple. Great soft, spicy and sweet scent. I'm almost 19 and believe I can pull this off so easily. This is a must have in my collection along with silver scent intense. I also have the pure edition which is nice but it's not on the same level as this and intense. I had deep as well but got rid of that because it was pretty garbage. I feel like this can be very versatile (I would not wear this at work because of the insane projection though unless I own the company) and I curious to try this in the summer as well. I really feel this one can be dressed up but can also be dressed down. Also all ages, this can be very appropriate on an older guy but also on a younger guy like myself. This can go well with all styles as well I think.

Wow!! Very Impressive blind buy! I'm gonna be honest, once I hit the "complete purchase" button on eBay, I started getting buyers remorse because I thought I was getting myself into another sugery Joop Homme wannabe scent. I couldn't have been more wrong! This bitch walks alone! Opens with a bright sour fruit / rubbery synthetic type vibe that is kinda weird, but in a nice way. I can see why some won't like OMS Ruby, but this is right up my ally because I have a fettish for synthetic material notes in cologne (i.e. new car smells...etc), which I guess explains my love for Lattafa's Ameer Al Oudh so much. Once mid gear hits, you can start to detect the green apple tart playing with the sweeter backbone of this red juice, but surprisingly not overly sweet...just right. Ruby is blended really well, and I think I now like this OMS flanker better than Oud Edition. I can't express enough how caught off guard I was with this modern Bogart legend. I don't have anything that smells close to OMS Ruby, and you all know how difficult that is once you start accumulating over 50 or so fragrances. All that said, OMS Ruby has an older adult aura. So If you're under 35, you may not understand this offering...It's "older man"; not "old man". One Man Show Ruby Edition will be olfactory catnip for most non prudish, Gen X bomb lovers. This is a truly unique and probably polarizing release; In fact, I wasn’t quite convinced at first... But that has changed. Initially I didn't like it on cold and humid days, because the synthetic aspect of the fragrance was very accentuated. Now I don't give a damn about that, it's more; I like it. So find out, this is a Jaques Bogart fragrance: It’s brave and unique... It has a couple of balls - speaking badly and clearly-; if you don't have the guts to wear the fragrance, just buy one with vanilla, chestnut and toffee. ... That is the statement of this fragrance. This juice is sweet, resinous, woody, incensy and slightly animalistic, with a bit medicinal & petroleum undertone. The main players here are Honey, Oud, Incense and Cedar... With a medium body of saffron and labdanum, led by a synthetic fruity accord: An apple with hints of cherry. - Longevity: +12h. - Projection: Caution! It can be huge... - Mood: Just be a real man to wear this, don’t be afraid of it: People won’t point at you..! And perhaps, you’ll even be surprised with the charm it may have. Youngsters and seniors can wear it, no problem... But only guys with character. Conclusion: Its rudeness makes it different, daring, attractive and unique. Just be brave.

The more I smell Bogart's offerings, the more I become a fan of how they approach their fragrances. If fragrance houses could be compared to bands, Bogart would be Judas Priest. They've made every note in this mix louder than everything else. The concept behind Ruby Edition is to take a common "Red" fragrance formula, such as Dunhill Desire, and making the Heavy Metal version of it. You almost don't recognize it at first, but when the fragrance opens up you can smell the familiar Red notes delivered at maximum volume. Over it all is a cherry top note that has no intention of being naturalistic. It's piercing, pleasant and powerful. The longevity on Ruby Edition is very good. The juice is so concentrated, it's almost resinous on your skin. That could indeed be the Ambroxin binder, a substance that solidifies at room temperature. One Man Show isn't for everyone. But neither is Judas Priest. Bogart's fans are often hardcore instead of casual. That happens when enthusiastic people find something that was made for them in mind instead of the makers trying to please everyone. Bogart is a fragrance house that thrives on being extraordinary.

I picked this one up blindly and I wasn’t sure about my decision as I couldn’t find a review that sold me on it. I took the risk and this is now my 6th purchase from the Jacques Bogart house. I gotta say I was off to a rough start with this one from the opening, it opens up almost exactly like Jacques Bogart Pure and I didn’t like that juice, but thank god in changes in the mid because this would have been a dud in my book. It opens with that grape bubblegum type of opening and although some people love it, I simply don’t. By the mid you definitely get that incense, honey sweetness, and then that Oud kicks in. I’m trying to explain it the best I can. It’s got a sweet light smokiness that comes across almost leathery. That’s the best I got for all of you. It’s a bit linear, but if you you want a lighter sweeter version of One Man Show Oud Edition, this very well May be the bottle for you. This is a true value for your dollar, but just know what you’re getting into before you buy this stuff. To me, this is another solid release from the JB house and a solid 8/10 for me.

It’s like they took the cherry smell from Jacques Bogart Pour Homme and bottled it. Very good stuff and I am not a fan of Bogart Pour Homme but I love this one. Now I do however highly respect Bogart Pour Homme for what it is but my first formula bottle does not get much use ‘RUBY’ however gets alot of use and I even have a backup bottle, not for everyone though if you don’t like sweet with an odd incense tinge in the background. There is so much litter and trash out there in the fragrance world, from the flanker releases that just suck, to everybody and their grandma trying to do youtoob reviews talking about the same stuff over and over again, best panty dropper, top 10, most complimented, blah blah blah, it’s getting boring, it has become NERDWORLD! Thankfully there is stuff like this that just cuts through the bs and is just damn good.

You want masculine you got masculine with OMS Ruby Edition. Sweet, cherry tobacco type of insense. Totally unique from anything. Of course it has Bogart's DNA with a musky background. But not nearly as musky as OMS Gold Edition which is a little over the top. Ruby on the other hand is much better. The performance is superb. 2 sprays to upper chest and 1 on nape of neck. All day sillage. You can't ask more for a $15 fragrance. I just love the Jacques Bogart house. They don't care about political correctness. They ignore the push by feminist to de-masculinize men. They produce strong 80's like men's fragrances for men that take pride in their masculinity while respecting women like a true gentleman. Men that don't cave to social pressure and see the beautiful differences in men and women as a positive, not a competition. That's Bogart.

How can something this inexpensive be so good?? I also blind bought this with minimal expectations (at $15 for 100 ml, why get a decant?). I am blown away by this scent. The fragrance reminds me of a Christmas Wreath”- woody, fir needles, red berries, and a bit smokey: a red/green wintertime smell that is at once cozy, mildly sweet, and inviting. I am somewhat amazed at how comparatively tame Ruby Edition is. I don’t get a large dose of the typical Bogart larger-than-life syntheticness here, but rather a well blended, well mannered scent that is pleasant from top to drydown. The honeyed sweetness isn’t cloying or obnoxious, but lingers beautifully as a backdrop to the woods and incense. If you have an unfavorable impression about the house of Bogart, this one might change it. I am thoroughly impressed.

The opening (max. 1 minute) is very, very similar to OMS Gold Edition, then a synthetic yet stylish oud make its appearance. The dry down is a fine tuned sweet-sourish (Red/black grapes and Lychee) and a little bit of animalic touche, reminiscent of Gold Edition, but vaguely in terms of power. Definitely better tamed and balanced than Gold Edition (it goes skin scent much rapidely than Gold Edition), but that not meaning (for me) that Gold Edition is less pleasant. I like both, Ruby for finesse, Gold for manhood. Both are my favourites from Jacques Bogart house. I absolutely hate Oud Edition, it's too offensive oud for me. Red grapes and Lychee... Absolutely nothing in common with Lapidus pour homme, like some said previously. Not cherries, but red/black flavoured grapes... Fanta grapes at max.!

Wow from the first spray this stuff projects and is ultra warm and sexy! Red Tobacco has some serious competition! Ruby Edition is absolutely gorgeous and has enough to make it beautiful and not too much to where it gets complicated. This fragrance starts out really sweet with red apple, honey, and some incredibly wonderful saffron! The frosted lavender gives this a slight icy affect but is very subtle! The warm smooth amber and the red cedar and absolutely stunning in this fragrance and add a beautiful punch. A lovely incense and a subtle but prominent orange peel note lingering around the top. Unlike Red Tobacco this doesn't really have any Oud and no Tobacco whatsoever but is still just as sexy and not as complicated/niche. I really want the Gold edition now! 🥵🫡

Sweetly Incensed Red as the Bottle and i have to say, the first word which comes to my mind is Romantic. a Scent that Reminds something which is out of this era. on the incense side it is more pleasant and Romantic than Joop! which my first impression is the scent of Cremation of Human flash. while this one feels like the smoke of a Persian Harem Lady smoking Hookah. i found it priced at less than 20$ snatched two bottles. and if it continues like that, i feel i am going to be using this long lasting and very present scent as one of my favorite ones. first impression is best impression, and this one had a really successful one. *Should Have been Named: "Hypnotic Poison"

Bogarts Red Dead Redemption is a masterpiece, TLPH is clearly the foundation, add the best bits of Bogart Pour Homme and Silver Scent Intense and you get this classy, strong, sweet and sour delight. Honey, Saffron, Cherry Tobacco, Red Grapes, Amber, Cedar and a tame Oud are what jump out for me, performance is standard Bogart, exceptional, the brainwashed must hate this so come back with the synthetic, cloying, nauseating BS, they must be using all natural ingredients in their perfumes until you look at what they claim they own! Hypocrites. I simply feel epic wearing this. BrandonR's reviews on Ruby are spot on.

Bogart are a take it or leave it house: you either love their brash, forthright releases or simply cannot relate to them. I appreciate their boldness, typically powerful edge and fantastic longevity. Ruby Edition is another I've completely fallen for. Ruby Edition bears no resemblance to the original OMS; it's somewhere between the brutal Gold Edition and the much more moderate Oud edition: honeyed agarwood, lots of incense and sticky, sweet (almost cherryish) red berries on top. It's a fantastic introduction to the Bogart feel and for the price it's worth taking a blind risk.

I’ll start off by saying, I’ve been wearing this fragrance for six years, I know what i’m talking about. One Man Show: Ruby edition is a fruity, sweet, synthetic scent. The projection is off the charts; I can literally put on two sprays and everyone in the same state as me will smell me. It’s a strong smell, (as said on the bottle) and has great longevity. Lasts HOURS and doesn’t wear off with sport or exercise. It may not be for everyone, and it has a unique smell, but I’ll continue wearing it until discontinuation, and I rate it a 9.7/10.

One. It's an EDT, HIGHLY concentrated. Two. It's like, 10$. Three. Saffron is expensive. Four. It smells VERY unique. Don't overspray. 3 is plenty. This is not for faint of heart. It's a basic scent with classic performance, and it's still mainly alcohol. It's LOUD. it's Airy. It's cloying, but in a spicey way. This stuff, is absolutely one of the best bangs for buck. It's not complex, it doesn't grow and alter your mind. Don't look for that in a 10$ frag. This is absolutely worth 30-50$ based on performance alone.

Literally in life I don't have to look hard to find something to squawk about..especially fragrances! However, no complaints. Cheap and long-lasting and smells expensive! I get more of a new car smell from this rather than City Tower, which also has a rubbery tinge. This I liken more to Silver Scent slightly, as a drop of grape drink still remains. Would buy again...love it. Anyone could wear it...not an old man scent like the regular one man show..way more modern and less bathroom-ish lol

this one garners much nose lifting.....this is a fragrance thats unique...powerfull.....and makes people feel much envy because its a rare potion...period...9.5 of 10....for between 40 dollars to 60plus it can be had in usa...if u have patience and can wait 3 to 4 weeks from asia post...it may be found for around 30 to 40dollars usually ships for free also..THIS PARFUM IS WORTH THE HEADACHE...ITS LIKE BUYING 3 BOTTLES IN 1...ITS THAT MUCH OF A POWERFHOUSE....have a nice..... j

I blind bought this because it was around $17 on fragrancenet and the notes looked really good and I am super impressed. This far exceeded my expectations for such a cheap fragrance. And for an EDT it’s damn powerful. It’s sweet, spicy, ambery and very manly. The reviews below are no joke. This is definitely not a unisex frag at all. I’m really curious to check out the rest of the line and will probably end up blind buying a couple more. A solid 8/10 for me.

I love it! It has its place and time in my rotation. A cold day working out in the yard, a walk on a cool autumn or early spring day. Like most of the other releases from Bogart, it is very long lasting, and it needs to be for all of the stages to develop. The incense and saffron in the middle notes slowly introducing the oud and honey later in the drydown that just lasts and lasts. There is no better value for the money than the house of Jacques Bogart.

This one is probably the best one in the line, on par with the original One Man Show, although smells nothing like it. The opening is very warm, inviting, and cozy, you can immediately smell the honey and apples, together with ambery notes of labdanum and a hint of incense and saffron. I don't detect any oud here, but the woody undertone is very rich. Overall, very much recommended for the cold weather, one of the brand's best.

If you're thinking about getting this be warned this is strong stuff. It's kind of balsamic incense-cy slightly sweet and floral. For chillin out at home during the winter chill this stuff is amazing, just don't spray on clothes cause it won't come off. 1 spray under the shirt this thing still punches thru and lasts ages. 1st place OG one man show and Oud edition 2nd place Ruby and Gold edition 3rd place Emerald edition

Ruby is the perfect transition scent when winter is ending, days getting warmer, but it's not quite yet Spring when people pull out their green scents. Ruby has a beautiful sillage in the air. But like most Bogart scents it's not the best to smell close on your skin. Thus, under your shirt on the pecs is ideal. I wear it exclusively in March when the weather is neither cold or Spring like just quit yet in my area.

Beastmode of the Gods; I can't even smell my own farts let alone anyone else's through the regal veil this scent produces! Intensely warm with spices that remind me of mulled wine, perfect for winter I can imagine. Synthetic oud note wraps up the composition with much grit. Going berserk on the trigger is ill-advised as this one has the potential to become a real headache juice. Highly recommended.

Stunning. Probably my all-time favorite. What a terrific fragrance! OMS Ruby Edition does state on the packaging that this is highly concentrated, they're not exaggerating. The opening is a blast of green apples interlaced with spices and a nice honey-oud combo base. Sweet and spicy, this is a classy scent, better suited to the 30+ age group who appreciate quality.

So beautiful. You can't appreciate this one for what it is until you pick it back up off the shelf the following year. That's when you'll realize how much of a modern masterpiece you have in your hands. Many write Ruby off too early, and for most, this offering takes time to get to know. Rediscovery is the key... Go the distance and seek your reward!! 10/10

Nose Note #183 Much like Gold Edition, but somewhat more airy and light. Not sure if having both is redundant, they are different. This is also just amazing. Super masculine. I guess 20+ may barely pull it off. It's for older guys UPD after a year. It has a lot from the Paco Rabanne XS too 7.9/10

So glad I got this one. Incredibly powerful fragrance for the price, and a very unique scent overall. Very spicy/apple/fruits, red berries with sharp musky & woody notes. Very masculine overall, and I would say this is not for those who are afraid of offending others with their cologne.

How can people not love this is beyond me. Apple in the opening, then sweet cherry with some smoky undertones reminiscent of tobacco, but nothing too overwhelming. Sweet, lasting and pleasing fruity scent. This is very different from the oudy scents in the OMS series.

A more wearable Lapidus Pour Homme. This is definitely a contender for best "bang for your buck" ever. It smells amazing and most mature men will dig it. Performs like a beast. This and the oud edition are the best in the One Man Show line.

I tried this one today and I feel in love. I need to buy a bottle of this heavenly juice. I bet I have smelled something similar before but I can't put my finger on. Excellent sweet scent blended with Oud and apple giving it a fruity vibe.

Powerful juice. Dry down is the best bit. Very sweet with honey, fruits, herbs and woods. A touch animalistic too, like OMS Gold Edition with sweet fruits.. A rich and long lasting perfume and a lovely one.

A real powerhouse. Very sweet, heavy, potent and fruity. Similar to OMS Gold but more fruit. Lasts and projects a very long time. If you don't use too much, it's lovely.

Great oudy & fruity scent perfect for the fall and winter🍁 with a great price value👍 just don't over spray then it might become cloying! Nice oriental fragrance❤️

I agree with Sauko. One Man Show + Story Red. Very similar to Story Red. a bit cloying initially. Caution is necessary when using. After 3 hours is very good.

A absolutely love this. Sweet, honey, apple, more fruits and spices. Longevity and silage, through the roof! And value.....well just one of the best.

The house of Jacques Bogart seems to pack a lot of scent into the bottle for a modest price. One Man Show Ruby Edition is a bold synthetic fragrance with strong performance. It's a warm, aromatic masculine scent presented in a red bottle with a good spray atomiser that generously disperses the juice. Ruby Edition opens with what I perceive as a cough syrup scent as it sprays onto the skin, but as it settles on the skin I definitely get the dark tone of the oud in there along with a sweetness. As it dries down the incense really comes to the fore and for me it evoked memories of visiting Hindu and Buddhist temples. Incense, while a pleasant sweet scent and strongly associated with worship and devotion, may not seem an ideal fragrance for modern men. But in OMS Ruby Edition I think it works well because of the complexity of the other notes in the background. The oud is still there lurking in the background of the dry down, but there is also a certain masculine warmth that I think must come from the labdanum. The result was that I kept wanting to smell my arm as I found a sort of unique appeal there. Overall One Man Show Ruby Edition is warm and a little dark, yet sweet and a little spicy. Performance wise it is strong, I would advise against over-spraying, especially on warm days as it can become cloying. The fragrance lasts all day on my skin and projects very well with one or two sprays. It is a synthetic cheapie and so it won't be everyone's cup of tea, I do think the opening smells cheap. But I think it is a good fragrance and no denying that it's great value for those who like it.

It's much more modern in style and actually appeals to younger users with its sophisticated blend of sweet, amber, fruit, spice, oud, and wood aromas. It's a very warm aroma but noticeably less overwhelming than other One Man Show editions such as the original and Gold Edition. This said, it's still a good performer with good projection, longevity and sillage. Unfortunately, the Ruby Edition keeps the same outdated and unattractive presentation of the original 1980 release. Perhaps the manufacturer thinks it's cool retro, but truthfully it's unattractive and outdated and comes off as kitschy which might make it hard to take the cologne seriously. People complain that the Paco Rabanne Invictus mini-trophy bottles are tacky but they are masterpieces of art design in comparison. The packaging and bottle really need updates to sell the sophistication to newer users.

batch code 19G15 : july 2019 according to checkfresh i sprayed this on my shirt and body at 1230 pm on 21st october 2022. could barely notice the opening. hung my shirt in the room. whenever i pass by the room (about 2 metres away from the hanging tshirt) i could smell it without wanting to smell it. it is now 200pm 22 october 2022 as im writing this and the smell is still there whenever i pass my room. in comparison to one man show gold (20i40 batch) i would say that the gold has a stronger smell than the ruby after 24h. ill give it a 11/10 for lasting power. sillage at most 7.5/10. value 11/10 due to its very affordable price. did i get a reformulated bottle? yes i did. regardless, ill still be getting a few more bottles as backup as its still value for money even though its slightly lighter than the 2016 batch (16J12) that i also own. the 2016 (9/10 strength power) is stronger than the 2019(7/10 strength power) batch but i feel that the 2016 is still much stronger than many other frags i own which cost more than quadruple the amount i paid for the ruby. i have also purchased oud and the original one man show and ill be reviewing those in the next few days

Jacques Bogart One Man Show Ruby Edition... ...is first and foremost quite similar to One Man Show Gold Edition minus the spicy components. Ruby Edition is a RED, sour / syrupy apple (not a green one) with honey .....which makes it smell like a sour cherry, sitting on a base of wood. This scent has nothing to do with oud and has even less to do with the original One Man Show. It is a slap in your face with a ruby red glove filled with steel marbles. It glows at night and it is so unapologetically loud that it is hard to find an occasion for when to wear it. Fragrance snobs and niche wannabes will not like this and that's for example the exact reason why I don't like fragrance snobs and niche wannabes. They simply don't appreciate fragrances for what they are. JBOMSRE is challenging and artificial but is also a true Bogart....a bit comical but still serious. One squirt on the back of my hand for test purposes nuked out the bedroom and lasted 12+ hours. It is highly concentrated which is even printed on the box. It should say as well "CAUTION...USE WITH CARE"

I bought this of the back of the original OMS and it's definitely not on the same "beast mode" level! I find the opening synthetic and a bit cloying and sickly but when it dries down it levels out a bit better. This one is more on a level with club 75. I think OMS Ruby is a crowd pleaser and will definitely suit a wider age range. It could even make it as a Bogart story. It was out in 2013 so it makes sense. I don't get a lot of apple at the start but do get lavender and the honey isn't overbearing as it is in the likes of lapidus pour homme. The oud is subtle as is the wood and the saffron, well, I can't tell lol. This is a pleasant frag and versatile as long as you don't over do it. That said, it doesn't last that long on skin or at least the silage doesn't.. On material it's great, far better longevity. It doesnt cost a fortune and isn't offensive so definitely worth a try.

For me it's a smell of Agaroud and Incense on top, with a sweet nuance on background(I don't have detected a honey smell but a candy smell). Really powerful and intoxicating; after of the first hour some nuance of flower comes very slightly, but always in background. Oud, Incense and sweet smell always in first place through the dry down, powerful longevity. It's a fragrance for mature men and in formal situations. Being a very strong fragrance, it may bother some people. I think that you can deal with it spraying more, or less. If the night is hot, in a small hall or room, with few people, you might use less. In winter nights so cold, or open places near the sea, or snow nights, you can use a little more. In my land the weather is usually hot. Be careful. Don't buy it, if you don't have tried before!!!
