Riviera Nights

Love at first sniff and another successful blind buy for me. This fragrance has multiple personality, a mysterious scent that changes its behavior like a chameleon changing its color in varying environment and situation. Its got everything that my nose is looking for particularly that subtle fruity sweetness after it quickly transitions from that bright opening. That's a similar vibe that draws me to Sauvage Elixir and Pasha de Cartier Parfum, simply gorgeous and masculine although this is totally different from the two. With that price point, this is a steal and a sure winner for me as a small time hobbyist and collector. Performance and longevity on my skin are pretty decent. I thought I need to reorder a back up bottle. My rate for this wonderful gem is 10/10 “Let us spread the scents of peace and kindness. The two most beautiful fragrance in the world that will cost you nothing and will get you a totally different kind of compliments” 🙏

I pulled the blind buy cord and it worked flawlessly- this is one of Bogart’s best fragrances. Here’s why: Riviera Nights is a much more sophisticated scent than many others in this house, not that Bogart is juvenile, but they are well known for loud, unapologetic, sometimes synthetic releases. This one is different. Combining spices and vetiver treads a well-worn path, but it's the addition of that fruity top note that is a welcome surprise. It’s similar to the fruit accord in Pure Malt, or even closer yet, Picasso Minotaure, but all similarities end there. This is its own scent, for sure. And I do detect a faint but present Bogart Pour Homme DNA underneath the fruit and spices. Oh yes, it’s definitely a Bogart! Performance is solid but well-mannered. For something this inexpensive, Riviera Nights is a must have if you like the scent profile..

Superb! I had my issues with Bogart fragrances, because too many of them seem to walk along the Le Male vibe, which I utterly dislike. So I was cautious with this one. BUT what an amazing surprise. Riviera Nights is pure class from top to bottom. Its development is changing from wearing to wearing, sometimes sweet, sometimes neroli fresh but mostly its the tremendous interplay between Cardamon and Nutmeg. This combination makes the entire fragrance shine. The way it develops on skin always shows new facets. Fresh spicy, aromatic and sometimes almost smelling like roasted coffee. The tonka is present, yes, but never too sweet. Performance is great and not as aggressive as some other fragrances from this brand. Stunning is the right word for Riviera Nights. Bravo!

Riviera Nights (11C48) - This is so good! I think Jacques Bogart really stepped up their game with Riviera Nights. I don't feel this fragrance has anything in common with the OMS/Silver Scent/Club 75/Pour Homme lines other than the Bogart name. It is a new branch on the Bogart tree. I purchased my bottle in-part because of CGV's YouTube and Fragrantica reviews (both excellent and very accurate) and this scent does not disappoint. In fact it has far surpassed my expectations and I'm very surprised how posh and refined it is for the piddly $16 I paid. I am beyond happy with my bottle of Riviera Nights and I highly recommend checking this beauty out, it's fantastic.

Epic Journey Into the Bottled Yonder, 117 ------------------------------------------------------- Purchased August 2019 Definitely wear this almost as much as CityTower, obviously Arabian Nights less than these two because that one requires a mood. Riviera Nights though is basically a whole different thing, not really appropriately titled with the Nights suffix and all. It does get a year round choice for me because of the first 30 minutes in performance. Best fruit blend in a modern fragrance. And it's also nostalgic in how woodsy citrus scents used to be, beautiful crowd pleasers in the old days.

This is, I believe, the most sophisticated Bogart fragrance for men (relatively speaking of course!). A beguiling melange of bone dry spices, slightly sweetened grapefruit, light menthol note, a hint of amber, the usual dog-house tobacco and a subtle vetiver. There's other stuff going on there as well. It manages to keep the powerful Bogart character but with a blend that is far more refined; the edges are softer, the structure more multi faceted. I would say, if you're choosing between Pour Homme, City Tower and Riviera Nights - this is easily the best fragrance. Probably suited to 30 + age range.

Absolutely delightful. Sparkling, fresh Neroli-Grapefruit burst to welcome you through the doors and then quickly onto the dapper Cardamom, dried fruits and Tonka Bean. In the dry-down this is all about the dried fruits and I can't honestly think of anything else that smells like this but somehow it still captures that Jacques Bogart DNA despite being a decent departure from the traditional "Pour Homme" and "Silver Scent" line. What a great pick up this is. I shall wear the heck out of this without remorse! 😁

Its rapidly elevating to become my signature and absolute favorite fragrance. Its capability to always develop into a different direction after application on skin, makes this a true wonder of a fragrance of which you cannot get enough, since it always shows another facet of its beauty. Sometimes its green, or spicy, or gourmand, or warm, or sweet, or woody, or boozy...incredible! Unprecedented price vs quality ratio, showcasing a perfect edt performance.

Riviera Nights (as it's name suggests) is a classy fragrance that starts as slightly spicy and dries down to gentle sweet tonka bean and vanilla with lesser nutmeg and smokey tones. I'm busy collecting the entire Bogart range, and by comparison Riviera Nights is the most subtle and mild I have experienced in the collection, making it suitable for formal / work environments.

... this is the day after ... sill going strong more tnan 24 hours over application ... tried yesterday for tne first time .... ... a very good , strong , tenacious , masculine scent , will report more with further use ... ... very good to my nose from the first sprays, keeps intense for hours and even the following day ... this is the second time around ...

Put it on today for the first time. It is really nice. I do believe it will end up an intimate scent though. I just got it yesterday and didn't want to wait. I'll let it sit a few weeks and revisit it regarding sillage. But it's really likeable. I'm happy I found it and added to my collection.

Excelent . Like it a lot , especially the dried fuits note , for me always present from start . Original , long lasting ,intense , not expensive and well presented.

Great scent by Bogart and remind me much of another Bogart scent furyo now Discontinued! I love it 💝 price value is great👍

Highly underrated, Alluring smell .

Warm spices and dried fruits, yuppers. Reminded me of a masculine take on Lutens' syrupy and fruity Arabie, a little The cedar note at the base? Definitely in the same vein as Cartier's Declaration. And a tiny bit of Encre Noir, yes. It's (oddly enough) closest to Lagerfeld Photo -- could easily be mistaken for Photo. (I find my RN redundant for this reason -- I already have a huge bottle of vintage Photo. To be candid, I'd hoped for more of a Cacharel "Nemo" type when I bought this on eBay with help from Fragrantica and Basenotes reviews.) The vetiver in this one's surprisingly good for a frag in this price range. (I think I paid thirty-four bucks -- with free shipping, no less -- for my 100ml spray bottle atop the lofty peaks of Mt. eBay.)

Well that's strange,i remember i made already a review on this,who is deleting posts? Anyway,now i see this fragrance,who almost nobody gave two pennies before some persons made it appear on Youtube,have got some attention!It is a very classy,soft but long lasting mixs of delicate white flower,fizzy grapefruit,delicious candied fruits,a not so esuberant cardamom and a nice warm base,it really recreate a hot night on the Montecarlo Riviera,not the best of Bogart but quite nice.

The opening reminded me of two scents: Slightly Cartier Declaration, but the declaration is more spicy. And remember a little over a Lanvin l'homme, but without lavender. Riviera opens with a lot of bergamot and orange stick (neroli), add to that a bit of cardamom has a vibe to a Ginger. After a few minutes begins to emerge a sweet note of tonka bean. Lanvin has vanilla, but I think Riviera with a dry down more sweeter.

A very pleasant woody/fruity fragrance. Opening is a spicy boozy fruit. The dry-down is a blend of fruit and tonka with spices. Longevity and silage are both good - in fact it has a nice masculine silage. Great value too Another great Bogart. *Update* This is a grower and the dried fruits make the difference here. Lovely wafts off this. Riviera Nights is a definite grower over time - excellent juice.

I forgot where I got this one. It's difficult to find now. It had been sitting on my rack for a long time until today. It is amazing. Smells smooth and very gentle. Overall, it is an office-safe, people-friendly, and very versatile scent. I am so happy I have it in my collection!

I was pleasantly surprised by Arabian Nights - another one in the line - scentwise and longevity also! I think this brand could be an underrated gem! Now I got really curious about this one, especially that Cartier Declaration was mentioned..

OMS Emerald resembles this fairly closely, except Emerald has less depth, more powder, and none of Riviera's grape-ishness. They don't quite make each another redundant but it's close.

I like this scent, but I can't wear it. Certainly this is too mature(I'm 30).

This is a mystery to me, I'm probably at the first stages of realizing what @alphairone realized. Or maybe it's a grower like @RobbieX wrote. @RonB, I don't see the resemblance with OMS Emerald, it's very different from that one IMO - Emerald is a green herbal beauty. Riviera is more of a fruity spicy with animalic hints (or maybe the animalic is just my natural skin scent :) - jokes aside, the mid notes are very prominent to my nose. Need to keep exploring, will update on my findings

Have to preface this by saying that you should go in thinking any Bogart scent will likely have some metallic or harsh edge to it. Their smells are beyond your typical "blue" or mall designer scents but the harshness is there and this is no exception. In terms of smell, my nose picks up the dark sweetness & spiciness; no light or brightness here. Meaning the notes that jump out to me are nutmeg, DRIED fruits, cardamom and tonka bean. This may be more restrained than other Bogart scents but don't think you can't choke people out in your personal space if you spray more than 3 times. I would only feel comfortable wearing this in open spaces, outside or at a club/bar. YT channel - The Scentrovert

Riviera Nights was the source of much hype a number of years ago, and when I was at peak collecting compulsivity, it was an easy grab for its price. I smelled it, set it aside, smelled it again some time later, set it aside, and it didn't occur to me that deep within my mind my subconscious was telling me that this is in fact rather staid. 21st century Jacques Bogarts come in varying shades of charmingly crude, but Riviera Nights just reeks of synthetic neroli, heavy on the methyl anthranilate to the point that it reminds me of Grape Fun Dip, with a plasticky dried fruit accord, with a dry down vaguely like a sports spray that would be worn by a guy named Todd in the 2000s.

Despite the fame of brand it doesn't last as long as all the others Bogart juices. Instead of "Riviera Nights" it should have been named "Office Time" or "Business affair"... as its attitude lead to a formal territory, urban, metropolitan, strict, well manned, gentle, charming, mature and elegant. Its notes are never too loud or rude those are extremely suave and indeed very manly, with a subtle “polite" classic vibe. More suitable on well dressed up adult man let’s say above 30 especially on business occasions. A great gem for your little investment.

Now the thing with this perfume is that, upon the first spray, it gives a slightly offending synthetic citrus smell, But be patient. Once this baby dries down, only one word can describe it, WOW

I bought this scent blind and i regret it very much. The scent is probably to mature but i feel at least 30-40 years to young for this. Such is life

Unfortunately, after a few over the top Youtube reviews, this one is catching a mild hype which is underserved in my opinion. The most synthetic fragrance I own(just above the Axe quality), and don't get me wrong...I'm ok with synthetic stuff. Even Private Blends from Tom Ford don't smell all that natural. Spicy and earthy, but not a top-notch mix. Longevity and projection are alright but nothing to brag about. 4-5 hours top. First blind buy regret and first fragrance where I sometimes get a red rash on my skin... I love cheap but great fragrances and there are so many for the same or simmilar price which blow away expensive niche stuff, but Riviera Nights aint gonna join that club anytime soon.

Released in 2010 by Jacques Bogart, which is known since its first release in 1975, for their deep and powerful men's fragrances, this cologne is part of the line called "nights", which aims to bottle the feeling of the nights from some particular place in the globe, transporting its user to a place of seduction and sensuality. In this version, the aim was to bring the glamour of the French Riviera, which encompasses Nice, Saint Tropez, Monaco, etc. The fragrance is composed by citrus notes of bergamot and grapefruit zest, in the output, with a touch of neroli. In the heart, nutmeg, dried fruits and cardamom. In the base, cedar, vetiver and tonka bean. The reaction, when touches the skin, is slightly citrus at the same time as a soft sweetish of neroli appears, which is the orange flower oil, with bittersweet aspect in most cases. Then, it begins to behave in a gently smoky manner, fruity and dry, getting a bit denser. That's when I can realize greater presence of nutmeg. But the cardamom, wasn't too noticeable, at least on my skin. Finally, a slight Cedar exudes, but the base is dominated by the presence of tonka bean, with its sweet effect, much used in perfumery and which refers, easily, to a nuance of vanilla. Don't think of finding in this fragrance the same synthetic aspect of Silver Scent, for example. By the way, I found the Riviera Nights projection far more contained than the projection we are used to feel in the most of the creations of the House. But don't be fooled! More contained is not synonymous for non-existent. The lasting, on the other hand, is excellent as usual. The bottle follows the pattern of the latest releases of the House and the fragrance is a great option for nighttime use, as the name itself indicates.

My first thought was that this smells very much like D&G The One/Ed Hardy Villain mixed with Encre Noire Sport. Up close it's a very cacophonous smokey grass/earthy smell, and from a distance the spices and sweet fruit are cutting through the vetiver. It's odd, yet awesome. If you overspray the cedar can be very obnoxious, so I wouldn't wear more than 4 sprays and you should be good. I'd say it's a medium strength. Dries down to an amber, vetiver, cedar scent. The vetiver goes first and then the cedar is all that's left.

1 out of 100 people will find this a great scent. Which is why it's so good. Let the sheep be sheep wearing what everyone else is wearing. Wear this and people will remember you are unique, different and damn you smell genuine. It's not going to instantly drop panties. But it will make sure people remember you long after you are gone.

Yes I get the dry fruits out of this. But compared to a fragrance like serge lutens arabie this one smells very metallic and one dimensional. It ́s slightly Fresh and I would say metallic, for guy around 30-50 years. Moderate sillage and longeivity. Might be good for everyday use

almost all Jacque Bogart fragrances have the same ingredients, there is something that makes it JB ! good or bad? up to the users to say that, IMO makes them abit monotonous.

One of the best of all JACQUES BOGART perfumes. Elegant deep sensuel tasty sweet romantic refined inteligent...good for all seasons , especial in Fall and Winter time...

The longevity is maybe 30 minutes to 1 hour max. I don't believe this scent. It smells really good, but you can't even test it sniffing the bottle cork one day later!

This is a "Masterpiece" Grab it if you can such a well priced gem.
