Jacques Bogart Silver Scent Deep opens with a moderate projection of orange, white floral, and spicy accords. The orange and grapefruit notes come up as slightly sharp and sweet, the resulting tone is closer to the orange than to the grapefruit; the orange blossom is a soft sweet floral white accord, the clary sage adds a soft lavender and leathery nuance, this leather accord is more prominent during the opening but it dissipates as the fragrance dries down along with the sweetness of the citrus notes. The Bogart brand decided to, continue the Silver Scent family and in 2014 released this version called "Silver Scent Deep". The flask follows the same proven philosophy of its predecessors but the matt finishing is more pleasant. The notes also underwent major changes with this release: In the top notes, besides the bitter orange and the orange blossom, new notes like grapefruit were introduced and the lemon note disappeared. In the middle notes, geranium, nutmeg and lavender were kept and sage was added. The biggest change occurred in the bottom notes with the use of tonka, vanilla and hazelnut. The successful oud note present in the intense version disappeared. After spraying, you do detect the DNA of this fragrance family. Nevertheless, this version is deeper (as the name suggests), sweeter and less synthetic than its predecessors. The fragrance evolution gives you a more gourmand scent with some hints of wood. As I commented yesterday in a review for Reyane Tradition Insurrection II Wild, I already regard Jacques Bogart Pour Homme among my favourite Autumn/Winter scents. Bogart Story Red is one that received a very positive reception when I owned it a few years back as well and yet I never tried anything from the Silver Scent line until recently I jumped in both feet and bought a full set of decants (Silver Scent, Silver Scent Intense, Silver Scent Deep and Silver Scent Pure). First and foremost the over achiever among this group is Silver Scent Intense with it's youthful, playful bubblegum/Grape Soda theme but with a balancing woodiness that wafts in and out keeping things in the adult realms. Loud, attractive, long lasting - Intense is Ideal for clubbing and nights on the town. The ladies in my life immediately swooned over this when I wore it for the first time and I have to admit I really like it too, maybe even love it. With Intense being so much better than it's forebear (the regular Silver Scent) I don't see a need to have that one separately so won't be buying that one. Silver Scent Pure was an almost instant pass as it seemed to be just a slightly more sugary-fruit oriented version of the others and didn't last very long.....on my skin anyway. Shame - it's still a good scent. Then it was time to go "Deep". :o) Orange blossom, Nutmeg, Vanilla, Hazelnut and Clary Sage are the biggest players to my novice nose. After the familiar "Silver-Scent" opening it develops into a standalone, flanker. Yeah buddy! I absolutely adore this one. It has what I would describe as a "green-meets-blue" (aquatic type of blue - but not 'aquatic' - sounds weird, I know) which seems rich but not heavy yet with a sweet-spicy almost powdery-lightness in the background that makes me think of hot Summer holidays and the uplifting optimism that comes with the sunny season. Despite that I can see this working all year round and not being out of place. I'm not one to go in for the whole "natural is always better than synthetic" argument. My mantra is if a scent smells good - it smells good and if I like it, I'll dang well wear it. :o) In my humble opinion, Bogart scents from the last 10 years or so do share a synonymous dna which one could argue as being on the synthetic side but I say so what! They all smell good some more than the others and as far as the Silver Scent stable goes it's a done deal...Go "Deep" for the daytime then "Intense" for the night time. Bish, bash, bosh. :o)

After the success of the original version (2006), accompanied with fidelity, through the intense version (2009), the brand decided to continue the family Silver Scent and released this version called Silver Scent Deep. According to the official distributor of the brand in Brazil, the notes have also suffered big changes at this time: in addition to bitter orange and orange blossom, entered the note of grapefruit and they took off the note of frozen lemon, at the top of the composition. In the heart, the same notes of wild geranium and lavender, besides the insertion of sage. And again, as happened in the Intense version, the biggest change occurred at the base of the fragrance: notes of tonka bean, vanilla and hazelnut wood. As soon as applied, arises a cloud that brings the DNA of the previous versions, what I admire in homonymous lines. But this version is less synthetic, becoming sweeter and voluminous, going for a denser and, obviously, deep fragrance (as its name says). About 20 minutes later, the fragrance begins to evolve into a semi-gourmand, with slightly Woody aroma, which successfully completes a trilogy that fulfils the taste of the Brazilian men audience. The bottle kept the same design, but received matte painting, including, in the neck (formerly Silver). Total inspiration in the universe "film noir". Following the same line of thinking from before, I'd say that the Silver Scent boy grew up and became a mature and secure man, who still shows the same mischievous grin of childhood, but learned to seduce and make decisions, without making such a fuss wherever he goes.

Never owned nor tried the OG Silver Scent, but I can understand the “grape soda” that everyone’s talking of. One reviewer said that in DEEP version, the “grape soda” is only in the background, and I think I can agree with that. So I can imagine the grape soda in the OG is more ‘into your face’. But still, DEEP has that pungent fruity sparkling soda kind of, in the opening. DEEP also a bit vintage style / vibe imo. Imagine vibrant & cheerful youth people in the pass that in present have grown and become mature but still have that cheerful soul. Interestingly, as it develops into mids and base, the scent of DEEP also changes to more mature and serious vibe. Maybe it’s because the tonka and woody tones....? For me, Silver Scent DEEP is an interesting scent that has quite unique character. It is charming as how an interesting vintage art-works would charm their audiences. I also think it’s quite versatile, can be worn year-round. And yes, it performs amazingly well for the price. It projects a lot, it last easily 7-8 hours, and it leaves an interesting scent trail too. It’s a solid 7.5/10 for me. The cons: It might be a bit too youthful for some, especially in the initial spray. And for some who are not into vintage-vibe, this might not be so interesting. UPDATE: I bought the OG Silver Scent and have written a review of it. To me, SS is more versatile, more wearable, and definitely more youthful. While SS Deep, like the name, smells deeper, more mature, more vintage. That’s why I think SS Deep suits better for mature guys. Both are nice. SS 7.25/10 SS Deep 7.5/10

Another one straight off the middle of the bat from the house of Bogart. Deep indeed, it is a vast improvement over the original Silver Scent for me. I say 'for me' because there is nothing wrong with the original, it just doesn't really agree with me at this time. Deep has the edge taken off the super screechy sweetness and lychee/grape note of the original by some smoothing out from the hazelnut and the tonka in this. Although tonka is a main component in the original, I find it far more prominent in Deep, giving a softer and more gourmand element. I get tonka, hazelnut, vanilla then nutmeg in this. I'm not good enough to distinguish between the other notes but they are blended very nicely. I can pick up a sort of dark chocolate scent in here but maybe that's the tonka interacting with the vanilla or something. The only citrus I can detect is the orange blossom. It's a little dry and powdery for me too with a hint of a tobacco note although I'm not sure where that's coming from, just my interpretation. Longevity is good. I put some on about two hours before I went to bed and it was still pretty strong when I got up. I then took a bath and could still smell it as a skin scent. I get moderate projection and moderate to high sillage with a nice little bubble of scent following me around. Overall I like this, it's good. Great price. Verging on beast. Solid performer.

Okay, to be clear, because most people talk about the overwhelming wet grape and stop right there, Silver Scent Deep OPENS with a unique and powerful Grape Kool-Aid groove. Love it! However, it only gets better! The grape remains subtlely going into the middle of the dry-down where it fades away almost completely, but remains beneath the following. After that, you get a warm, musky, woodsy tonka bean. I don't detect any vanilla at all, even though it is supposedly the main note. I have concentrated and TRIED to smell the vanilla, but I've just never even gotten a whiff of it. The sillage goes on for a few hours and the scent bubble around you is beast-mode so go easy on the sprays! It's truly amazing how something so delicious can be so inexpensive. Many of Jacques Bogart's fragrances are in that vein. I also recommend One Man Show Oud Edition and One Man Show Ruby Edition. BOTH are exceptional and very distinct!

i ended up buying 6 JB fragrances so far, and lets say what i love about this particular one.i LOVE the bottle design, its the best looking bottle in the house, and the scent is my 3rd favorite behind very strong the pour homme and Oud edition of one man show line, but does that make this scent an average scent?HELL NO...this opening reminded me of dunhill icon with that grape soda pop and the smooth lavender minus the cardamom, the drydown goes different way but i can see this as an amazing ight out scent in winter/spring.its not as nuclear as the intense or the silverscent original...but lasting power is so amazing. great bang for buck and more.this to me is the best among the 4 silverscents...period :) get it in your collection, showcase it proudly

A good and successful Successor to the popular silver scent of perfume. I personally do not like the scent of silver scent because it's too sharp. Especially in early consumption. Plus, there are many copies from it by other companies, silver scent is not unique anymore, but the silver scent deep does not have any of these issues, and it really is worth considering its price.

This is Silver Scent all grown up. It begins with a feint toward “business as usual”: that grape soda note that is the calling card of this lineup. But, slowly, almost imperceptibly, that accord fades and gives way to a nice, warm, softly sweet nutty (woody?) scent. That grape smell finally goes away completely after about 30-45 min. This one is not going to scream off your skin for hours and hours, but develops into something more appropriate for work or casual settings. Along with Sliver Scent Pure, Deep is the best in this line. Great scent progression and development, from fun extroverted Silver Scent to a subdued, persistent warmth for a very nice affect.

Okay so here we go... I own the Intense version which is great in smell and performance. I tested Deep recently and these are the main differences I get. I find the Intense version has a much more bitter opening due to the Lemon and Bitter Orange and Deep to be sweeter in that department as well as sweeter in the dry down. Otherwise they are pretty much the same. Performance once again is great. It was one of four I tested on myself at the time and it was the only one I could smell without putting my nose to my arm. So A+ to that once again JB. I actually prefer the Deep version now and will purchase it when my Intense runs low.

Dry down is very good. Lasts up to 8hrs and is the perfect fragrance for everyday. Quite versatile as it can be used in all seasons, but I would say mostly the colder seasons as the vanilla is a very notable part of this scent. I think Deep is basically just Silver Scent OG and a nice vanilla note to compliment it. Much more masculine than the OG Silver Scent, but is not restricted for teenagers to wear it. The price is very good value and would I would definitely buy this fragrance again.

Love Silver Scent Deep, so much better than Silver Scent. The Hazelnuts give a chocolatey touch that enhances the scent a hundredfold, and it is also a bit less in your face than original Silver Scent. Longevity is 10 hours plus, sillage is not the onster sillage of SS original but is nice and is felt by everyone though softer. And the SS family are all very cheap in Brazil for imported perfumes ( equivalent to US$ 30 to 40).

I'm not an experienced perfumist but man... this scent is awesome! Smells really nice and the hazelnuts are noticeable from the beginning. There are not many man's perfumes with this note and if you like it, you must give it a try. The performance is also very good: last 10h+ on my skin. I think it's a very versatile fragrance and can be used for casual, night, office... too sweet for a summer fragrance though.

Silver Scent Deep is my favorite of the line so far. I still haven't been able to find Silver Scent Midnight yet but I'm anxious to try it. Deep has the same grape bubblegum note that Intense and Pure have but it's toned down here a bit. I love this but I can see how many could be turned off by the synthetic grape component. It's less loud than Intense, more smooth and woody. Performance is excellent.

It has that signature Silver Scent DNA, but more powdery sweet, and vanilla almost like a fruity JPG LeMale type fragrance with orange blossom. It does have the "grape Kool Aid" vibe. I think this is pretty much any time of year fragrance, but might be too much for high heat.

I really love this scent, it's dark and heavy, and it performs very well, long lasting and sillage is awesome, and super cheap, it's a great bargain really.

Best of the best Bogart released, I am a fanatic of silver scent and this one makes it more intense to have. Very good quality and very good price...10/10

It doesn't smell like Armaf's Club de nuit Sillage but it gives me that same metallic note with an extra Pop soda feel, like 7 up

When people say grape soda think faygo/Welch’s grape soda but super nice. Really projects in 25-30 degree weather.

This one is.. Well, its hard for me to really break down. It plays tricks with my smell sense. Initially all I could get from this was that grape bubblegum, as many people have said. And because I read that before I ever sprayed, it was just stuck in my head and that is all I COULD smell..the entire way through. But, I know there is so much more to this frag than grape bubblegum. So I set it aside for at least a year. Then started using it. Because lately I have been using the two worst frags in my collection (YSL Kuoros, JOOP Ice) as bathroom deco towel fresheners (they do a good job of making a toilet room smell clean..and that is about all they are good for) I kind of caught a small similarity between JBSSd and YSL-K, J-I. There is just a very slight bit of urinal cake that comes off of Silver Scent Deep. But, not enough to make me banish it to the water closet for towel duty. I was picking up vanilla and tonka. I think the combo of orange and geranium and clary sage are what tricks my nose into thinking of grape. Its not unpleasant, I just dont want to smell like a grape candy even though I know others probably won't think of it as grape. As the dry down comes around there is a smoothness and calmness to it. A comfort scent is what it is. It really kind of picks the mood up as it is a happy smell. I don't really pick up any woody notes, hazelnut, nor nutmeg. I think my brain to nose connection is still broken on this scent because I am stuck in that loop of what people say about that grapish smell. Now, perhaps it does have a tad urinal cake-ness to it. It isn't overpowering the rest of the fragrance and to me, this is completely wearable and to me...takes me to a time in my childhood being at the ballpark having a grape charms sucker watching baseball. Good times. This frag has lasting power. Its a spray on, stay on. Longevity 9/10 Projection 8/10 Scent 5/10 (my opinion) Overall 6/10

Have you ever popped open a can of grape soda and just taken a huge whiff of it? You ever then go "Damn, I wish I could smell like this." Did you then make that fragrance, and also make it last an entire day and hit like a beautiful train that entire time? Then it's nice to meet you Jacques Bogart. This thing is GOOD if you like Grape Soda. I refuse to look at the notes because if I look at them, then the illusion will be ruined. It happened with Blue Jeans by Versace where now I can tell what is mimicking the clothes smell, so until the day I am Clockwork Oranged into seeing what's in Silver Scent Deep I will continue to enjoy my soda filled bliss. I'm writing this in my college library in between classes, I say this because I'm wearing it right now. This fragrance came out in 2014, but smells like something from the 80s. When I say that, I don't mean Musky or overly powdery, but it has a nice powdery charm and optimistic pop to it. This is powerful stuff, and if you overspray this I will beat you with a folding chair until you learn to behave. Three sprays does me more than enough, and it allows me to smell whiffs of it the entire day if I spray it behind my ears and on my neck. It is loud, proud, and....grape. So yeah, if ya like Koolaid and want you and everyone in a ten feet radius feet to smell it, then pick this up. It was like...20$, that's a hell yeah price. If this was a song it would be Material Girl by Madonna. Every once in a while it's nice to listen to, but I would hate to smell it every day.

Starts off like silver scent intense, but with a very dominant nutty aroma. as it dries down the silver scent intense smell seems to almost vanish and the nutty smell gets balmy and this frag starts smelling like Valentino uomo. It doesn't project like some of the other jacques Bogart frags, which isn't a bad thing in this case, the longevity is still there. I asked my wife to buy me this for Christmas, and I'm really glad I own it, as there doesn't seem to be many bottles of this around. got mine off amazon UK,,you'll see it on there if you keep checking every day, like I had to, don't hesitate if you do see it , as it won't be there for long..

If I have known that smells like Joop! homme edp, I wouldn't buy this juice. I have the Joop! homme edp and I don't like it. Naturally Joop! is better, more quality juice than Bogart, but the edp costs twice. Bogart silver scent deep is similar also to PR Phantom and JPG Scandal. The performance of Bogart is strong in the first hour, better if you spray on the hair and clothes, on skin is more closely and I can feel a vintage vibe (so '90s like Joop! homme edt). I think it's unisex or feminine smell, because it's very sweet. Smells like grape/cherry soft drink too :)

This one is really a solid fragrance. Yes, it is synthetic in the opening grape juice is what I get at the top to overwhelming everything. For me, it smelled like a grape popsicle all the way to the mid. At the dry down make this fragrance really masculine, it changed to be the warm powdery scent in the middle and slowly changed to be a sweet fragrance. This is why I like it, it works as a puzzle for me. I like the way it open, I love the way it changed, and I love the sweetness in the bottom scents. It long lasting, it projects well and its cheap! 8/10

I'm on my second bottle of Silver Scene Deep, my first bottle lasted me for years. I still wear these older and other classics as the scent of the evening or night after a long ass day. SS Deep has kind of amber grape soda pop with perhaps a feint hint of a deceptive woody note. Not as sweet as Original silver scent or intense version but very similar to the OG. Performance and projection is very strong with 2 sprays. Bottle design is the best looking from the Silver Scent line, nice matte finish without being a fingerprint magnet.

Deep is the best out of the Silver Scent line! I get less of the synthetic attributes that the others in the line have. Deep though is very pleasant in the dry down. The opening is that grape soda blast but it's not as harsh as you would expect. To me Intense was extreme! Pure smells very synthetic to me. But Deep is very wearable and I would say the more attractive one to wear. Once it settles down it smells fantastic! I give this a 9.3/10

The third skin of Silver Scent get a different face....i'm talking about the base,the smell change really much,maybe is for this reason that this scent is labeled as "deep"....and this last phase isn't to me so amazing,sadly...there is something like a "rubbery" feel,an accord that turn my stomach off,for the rest is the same Silver Scent,forgettable.....

Silver scent Deep is the younger crowd silver scent. Sweeter and calmer, deep is heavy on orange blossom, vanilla and hazelnuts while the nutmeg give it slight spicy vibe. Excellent perfume when you take in consideration it's performance (Great projection and longevity) and it's price. Very well done mister Bogart!

Bought this because of the longevity that is stated here (and because it's a cheapie), wore it twice so far. I don't like the opening, I love the dry down - the vanilla reminds me of Gaultier2. I am impressed with the longevity.

JB Silver Scent Deep is a powdery floral fragrance with great longevity and good sillage for every day use. It's fairly well blended, although it should be said that Bogart as a company seems to go their own path and not care about current trends. That is why istead of a typical modern floral freshie you get a vanilla sweet heavy powdery floral from the days when men were man and...oh nevermind. If you are a 30+ guy like I am, grab this juice if the scent of a freshly opened box of washing powder is your thing. Mine is. BTW. You'll only need 2 sprays of this to smell good the whole day, it's strong.

Take the silver scent intense DNA, add a manly smooth vanilla and you get this. Can't go wrong with it. However this lacks in the perfomance department compared to silver scent to me and i can't comprehend why, but it is more mature at least.

You really need to like sweet fruity scaents to enjoy this. It is damn strong and I do get the grape soda vibe everyone is talking about. But for under $20 you can't complain. Not my favorite in the silver scent line so far.

I bought this thinking it wood be silver scent made more woody. Which in a way kind of is but too much. I dislike this

#296 in my "Tour de Fragrance" There's something about that grape soda scent that cheapies like this use to provide "fruitiness" that always seems to provoke a runny nose and sneezing fit for me. This is something you'd give to your eight-year-old for Christmas to impress the little girl in the third row of Mrs. Hunnicut's spelling class. Not something you'd expect to smell on a grown man. Straight in the donation box.

For men ??? Really ??? Smell like lavander cologne with a strong hint of grape-flavored Kool-Aid. Very sweet. And for sure very synthetic. Longevity and silage is no doubt enormous, but who wants to tell the world you smell like that ! I am disappointed with the reviewers at Fragantica.

I just remember this smelling really dirty, didnt like it at all. Apparently people saying it’s reformulated and the original is seen to be much better, seems like I got the reformulated batch. Other flankers of SS are tons better 3/10 really couldnt convince myself to like it.

Two words: HEADACHE AND NAUSEA

This is the first Silver Scent I've tried so I can't compare the different versions. It begins with a blast of something I find unpleasant, but I blew on it so that it would get to drydown quickly, and that worked fine (one spray). After that I just got one big accord that is musky, the scent reminding me a bit of a Milk Dud candy on some level. It's not too "synthetic" and the strength is at least good for a "cheapo," but I'm not sure there is enough here for me to wear it instead of something else that is along the same lines but that I prefer. Over time I get some spice but not a hazelnut or a hazelwood note. I'll certainly give this at least one more chance, but those who dislike the "low quality" of "cheapos" probably won't find a "hidden gem" here. It reminds me of a reformulated Lapidus Pour Homme I bought several years ago, actually, in terms of the texture, the musk, and some of the notes (though again I think I prefer that one - I think of it as "semi-vintage" these days). My guess is that most people would find this appealing if they smelled it on you, just so long as you don't use too much. UPDATE: In the far drydown I was reminded of 1 Million more than anything else. I was hoping a hazelnut or hazelwood note would appear, but I didn't detect any. For the price this has some appeal, if I didn't already have a similar scent. Otherwise, it's a bit too crude, relative to what I already have, for me to be especially pleased with this blind buy. UPDATE #2: The longevity was great. With one spray to the chest I could smell it over 24 hours later (made sure not to get it on cloth and wore a different shirt the next day). During the night I woke up and thought I smelled something that could conceivably be interpreted as hazelnut-ish. And then I remembered that I had a bottle of hazelnut flavoring I bought at the dollar store and is very strong. I intend to wear that as a fragrance one of these days, just to see what happens. If and when I do I'll update again here (and probably write up a post on my blog about it). UPDATE #3: I sprayed into the air and walked through it. This application method seems better for this scent, but while I could detect the notes a bit better, I didn't like how much geranium I was detecting (it's one of my least favorite notes). UPDATE #4: This time I got a tobacco-like quality, though not quite there, so I intend to layer it with a light tobacco scent the next time. I used one spray this time and enjoyed the scent more than I have on previous occasions.

REFORMULATED!!! A lot of you will be suggesting this smells like grape soda, similar to the OG Silver Scent Let me tell you, I've got a 2013 batch and that shit is straight fire. Warm decadent hazelnut with a small touch of the OG Silver Scent resting on a base of strong sweet spices and gourmands It was awesome I bought a 2020/2021 batch and it came with the body of Silver Scent deep, but the lid and atomiser of the OG Silver Scent 😂😂 and to my surprise it smelt basically like OG Silver Scent. It wasn't that close to the Silver Scent deep of old. Sad. With that said, the drydown of SS deep does have a bit of that rich warm hazelnut I pick up on. But nothing too extraordinary like the Old batch. 9/10 for the old batch 5/10 for the new batch

One of the worst reformulation I've ever smelt in the fragrance game, a lot of you may be confused why people seem to have huge mixed perspectives, obviously it's because we all experience scent uniquely, but it's also more than likely the fact we're all smelling different versions of the scent The old formula was a beautiful grapey silvery fresh fragrance (like the OG) but with a beautiful mixture of deep hazelnut chocolate and spices. It really was a great contrast and a solid fragrance The new formula just smells like the old one but diluted heavily with the original silver scent. Actually thought it was the original silver scent at first.

According to the notes on my tester bottle, and also on Basenotes, there is no Hazelnut note in this fragrance. The note listed is HAZEL WOOD. Fragrantica mistakenly put hazelnut in the pyramid instead. The fact that so many reviewers talk about the hazelnut note and, at the time of my writing this, is the most prominent note according to votes just goes to show how easily influenced a lot of you guys are. I thought I was crazy for not smelling hazelnut in this fragrance, but thankfully my nose was right. Try actually discerning notes based on your nose alone, people.

I admit right away that I have not tried the other Silver Scent Fragrances. But I bought this thinking it may be a Fall/Winter alternative to the holiday potpourri vibe that dominates now. I am not disappointed. I get the sweet berry grape on the opening, but within a few minutes the nutmeg, tonka and vanilla come up to add warmth. From then on it is an intoxicating blend that has already gotten several unsolicited compliments. Better than avg performance and projection. I will wear it happily for Fall/Winter gatherings, movie dates and snow fun.

Highly recommended for a 6-8 hour window of use on 3-4 sprays. This is dryer and less sweet version of Silver Scent, it's about half the strength of Intense, and that's just fine by me. You can go 3-4 sprays with this, and it will be just fine. I'd recommend this if you want to wear something a little more transparent for the day, something a little more subtle. You'll forget you're wearing a scent, but others will still smell you. It's a great scent. It lasts amazingly well, it's just a little less intense than intense, but still fairly strong.
