Silver Scent Intense

This fragrance makes you wonder why people underrate some designers, or even some EDTs and EDPs. Everybody knows Cool Water from Davidoff, but just a few people know other fantastic Davidoff products like Zino Davidoff and Silver Shadow. Not a lot of people know Jacques Bogart or his perfumes. Well, if it is your case you don't know what you are missing. Now about Silver Scent Intense witch is my preferred Bogart's fragrance. It's very manly, a bit gourmand, somewhat spicy, woody and a lot Oriental. It opens kind of fresh and clean with some sweetness. By the notes we know we are getting African orange flower, Italian lemon and bitter orange. I did not notice a clear separation between the top and the heart notes. I have been bombarded with some flower (mostly lavender) and spice notes without loosing that tiny sensation of freshness with some new green notes in between with the initial notes. The scent now is really strong and lovable. Enjooooy it. It is ment for you. The bottom notes make themselves available without asking any permission. The global scent becomes even more intensive and you notice the oriental ambiance projected by this fragrance. Sweet powerful oud, tonka and fougère notes become dominant but blended with the previous notes. You can experience the harmony of the global scent evolution. The fragrance becomes really powerful and it does project immensely; you became aware of the sillage effects around you (my dog does not stay in the same room with me). After a couple of hours it still shows the same strength. You became convinced that it is going to last forever. It draws a lot of attention and certainly a lot of compliments specially by oriental frag lovers. I sprayed my forearms (2 sprays each) by midday. 12 hours later I still had an appreciable sillage around me and I should say quite intense still. 36 hours went by and I still can smell the sweet oud and tonka at skin level; In between I slept for 8 hours and took a shower. Don't use it in hot weather. All other situations are allowed. You may either love this fragrance or hate it due to its strength. Very good to read a book by the fireplace on a winter night? - YES, you may enjoy it alone. Very good for any kind of date? - NO. It will be ok for some dates if you apply it 4 hours before meeting your darling. And if your date cares only about fresh citrusy scents just dump your date and stick with the fragrance. Very good for the office? - YES if you have a private space. Is it good for open air activities? - YEEES Will you receive a lot of compliments? - YES Very good for clubbing? - YES but apply it a couple of hours before going to the club. Everyone else will be wearing it? - NO. I dare you to find someone else using this frag in your club. My rates for Silver Scent Intense: Scent: 9.0 (I really love this frag, but still does not make my top 5 although it is in my top 10) Longevity: 10.0 (It's a beast) Sillage: 9.5 (It's a beast) Uniqueness: 8.5 (You may have similar experiences with a douzain of niche very expensive fragrances, OUDs in particular) Wearability: 7.5 (avoid hot weather; marvelous in air conditioned) Versatility: 7,5 (choose oriental scent lovers to date or to party with; Exclude all the Aqua di Gio fanatics) Quality: 9.0 Price: 10.0 (20 Euros for my 100 ml bottle) Overall rating: 8,88/10.0

After the huge success of the original version (released in 2006), the brand introduces the "grown up" version of the Silver Scent line, now with the surname Intense. It seems that it was all very fast, but it wasn't. In fact, the original version took too many time to be known around here (Brazil), when the stores began to receive requests for its availability. With the same notes of frozen lemon and orange blossom, besides the insertion of the bitter orange, the fragrance also has the same composition in its body, combining lavender, geranium, cardamom, Rosemary and coriander. The greatest change was in the base, which kept the vetiver, Teak wood and tonka bean, but included notes of Lichen (fungal MOSS) and oud (agarwood). Basically, it consists of the same DNA, just more balanced or less "vibrant". The bittersweet aspect is now more restrained, giving way to the Fruity-fougère, with a touch of oud. The projection and the lasting match with its predecessor (losing a little bit in projection). It is like if the original version was a hyperactive child and this Intense version is the same person, now more behaved. Silver Scent has grown and became a teenager, situated between two worlds: the childhood and adulthood.

I would like too add my thoughts after using this hidden gem for three days. It is really a powerful fragrance. Consider slightly less sweet and less transparent version of 1 Million. It is similiar in style, but different in scent. Instead of cinnamon, leather and spices, this one smells more like a Fanta drink mixed with detergent and it is slightly more synthetic. It is better than many other designer fragrances out there, sold for higher prices. But I dont think that it is a panty dropper or a master-piece. Just a nice fragrance with good performance. But when you consider the price tag, it deserves much more attention. IMPORTANT EDIT: I still think that SSI is not extraordinary, just a simple, synthetic, nice fragrance. But my wife considers that it is one of the most attractive scents among my 40+ fragrances (including Sauvage, Eros, 1 Million, Code Profumo, Ultra Male, etc.) Today I applied this frag (6 sprays) at 10 a.m. Around 3 p.m, a female asked the name of my fragrance. She was sitting 3-4 meters away from me at an outdoor cafe. I didn't even know that I was still smelling SSI, I believed it had already become a skin scent. I think females really love this scent, synthetic or not.

I actually came across this scent by chance, didn't know it existed until today. I see lots of people saying its a young smell, I disagree, its actually very versatile can be worn at any age in my opinion, I think people associate it with night clubs hence the only under 21 remarks, I'm 42 and I rocked it no problems, I had a white tee, khaki baggy dad pants and a black leather on, how ever I don't represent my age at all. The references I can give here are (I know this will sound ridiculous) Layton meets original Joop! It can come of somewhat chemical but I can smell some raw elements in there too, it definitely has a Euro vibe about it even though it has oud in it but its way in the back, the spices and the tonka seem to take center stage and its well blended in my opinion, but I really need more time with this, and again I'm really glad I picked it up and have it in the collection its a keeper for me and I feel like this one is heavily underrated. Also its so cheap definitely worth way more than its given price 8.5/10

Wow; this frag is beautifully loud, atomic and long-lasting. One spray and the room becomes Chaos incarnate. I smell it 24 hrs later on my skin. Unbelievable! --To wear this is to be a very arrogant, bossy, dominant man; passionate heart-breaker making no apologies. --When I first sprayed it, it took me by surprise because I felt "outmatched" on the first spritz. OMG! The best way to describe it like an alter ego that is unruly, unamused but unabashed of flower petals. Not everybody can handle this juice. The fragrance is inappropriately good with a character. It goes "BEAST MODE" on the first spray and you must take control of this wild animal (do not go over 2 sprays). Otherwise, if you decide to wear it, you better have an alter ego to match; people will be able to tell that this frag is NOT made for you. --If you are of the a baby or a Mama's boy, you should not apply this frag because it is for a man with serious CALVES and ACHILLES tendons to match; too Powerful and I LOVE it!

I'm glad I didn't give this one away. The grapes soda skittles smell was very strong and even juvenile at first. I liked the smell but didn't find it very wearable. I think it just needed to prime and bloom. About a year later and it's much more mature. Still has some grape but it's gotten creamy and buttery. Now it reminds me of some great ambery woody fougere's. Great performance. It's strong yet I feel many exaggerate this one based on a few sprays out of the box. I do 7-8 sprays, 2-3 on each arm and under the shirt. The atomizers are forgiving on these ones, comes out like half squirts. I appreciate that. I don't understand needing a fire hose. I hope to get old and have extra arthritis in my trigger finger. RECAP: Give it some time. This line is one of the best budget friendly. It's a 7.5/10 for me. But for $20 it's an easy 9.5 on the curve.

I was at Chemist Warehouse and this was one of the fragrances on the shelf - it wasn’t behind locked glass doors. The store was busy and I didn’t want to find the sales assistant who had the keys. I quickly read the reviews here, and thought “Why not?” I’ve been wearing this for a few days now, and it’s like nothing I have ever owned before. SSI has definitely taken me out of my fresh-aquatic-fougere comfort zone, and that’s a good thing. I certainly get the Grape Fanta blast on opening, but I don’t mind it. This settles down to something bold and strong, yet not overpowering (like Kouros when you’ve been heavy on the trigger). Lasts all day, and if I don’t shower before bed, I can even smell it on my pyjama shirt the next morning. I like this more than One Man Show, which I reviewed earlier this year.

I found this one from the "Fragrances with Lex" YouTube channel. Wonderful cheapie, very unique. With this one I get delicious synthetic grape that isn't too sweet, and a strangely pleasant synthetic oud, almost animalic body odor smell in the background (but in a good way if that makes sense). This fragrance performs like a beast, making it strong enough to wear in cold weather but fresh enough to pull off in the heat. Very versatile scent, can wear it except maybe in a formal setting. I can see a few people being turned off by the synthetic nature of the fragrance, but I love it. Performance: 9/10. Monster projection ad longevity. Will last you most of the day. Scent: 8.5/10. Very unique grape/oud/woods scent that grows on you the more you wear it. Versatile and good for all seasons.

I own Silver Scent, Silver Scent Deep, and Silver Scent Intense. Based on my own experience, the Intense version is basically pretty much the same like the OG Silver Scent, only like the name, it is more intense, richer, and a bit spicier. Performance is also even greater then the OG. In simple way: AGE: SS is for 25 and under SS Intense is for 28 and up OCCASION SS is more casual, non formal, and day time. SS Intense is more mature, semi-formal, and best for night time. Out of the 3 I own, SS Deep is my personal favorit because it has more character, it’s the most unique, specially the dry down that combines Hazelnut and Vanilla. It’s mature without having old vibe. Same versatiliy like the Intense version but cooler personality. SS 7.5/10 SS Intense 7.75/10 SS Deep 8/10

This one, my friends, is an absolute BEAST!! Seriously one of the best out there, the smell is so fresh and sweet and fruity, yet also manly, but then again also versatile that it could almost be unisex. It opens up like grape bubblegum, I have visions of purple at first and then it dries down to something warm, sweet and comfortable. For the price, this is sensational value, the longevity and projection is insane, I can still smell it on my jacket days later. Wear this if you want to make a statement, if you want people to pay attention, or if you want to leave an impression. I’ve never had more compliments than when I’m wearing this, colleagues, a lover and a lady on the bus, all in 1 day. A true winner. I love it.

This is a beast of a frag, but it took me a little while to appreciate the smell and strength of this wonderful juice. If I had to make a comparison, I would say that it smells like A+F fierce or Mont bland legend, with that dirty orange smell with vanilla, except this has lots of oud. If anybody is on a fragrance journey, and would like to really get their nose on some oud, then this is your guy. You won't have any problems with longevity or sillage either, this stuff just goes on forever. I also really like the bottle and sprayer,,it's very classy, sort of an art deco look. Overall I would score this an 9 out of 10,,the more you wear it, the more you'll grow to love it..

I was looking for the perfumes with oud as one of component.I found many scent with oud but it always were the quite expensive products , not very available and often from niche perfumery.And I met Silver Scent Intense by chance...The price wasn't high( "better quality-higher price" I was thinking) but I had the feeling to buy it ...and I hit the bull's-eye!I've never used the normal Silver Scent but Intense version is terrific and uncanny! It has something unusual when you smell it....its sweet but not sugary -I would say: "fresh sweetness". It's masculine , noble and really sexy -but not tawdry. Longevity and projection -superb. For me it's real masterpiece 10/10.

I suggest 2 sprays to the back of the neck and keep it away from your neck and I also avoid under the ears.. It's that strong, 4 hours in, you don't want to be smelling yourself. Keep it on the back of your neck and you'll be fine. 2 sprays.. never go over 2 sprays. It's actually pretty decent in cold mornings or cold nights when it's dropping below 70 degrees Fahrenheit. If you do wear this during a hot season, i'd recommend you block the spray with a piece of paper as you apply to only acheive a half spray to yourself, it might be ok as a summer scent at a half spray, but that's just too much effort, go for something fresher that needs 4-6 sprays in the summer.

This is something beyond love for me and I can't get all negative comments,it smells strong,warm,sweet,pleasent and I love my man to smell like this I actually don't like the first version and I believe that one was sharp,too much fruity(in a syntethic way) and stronger,but intense version is all about a warm,cozy tonka dominated scent that wrapes you with comfort and also has great longevity and sillage too,I can't detect much oud,most dominant notes are tonka,orange flower,lavender,citruses and a hint of fruits and woody notes Just use it during cold seasons and only two sprays is enough Good for men who prefer sweet and strong fragrances

Wow this is one master piece, this is unlike any other I have smelt, longevity and sillage is great and the fragrance is simply fresh and sophisticated.....I love this fragrance for its uniqueness. Moreover, this is Oud based scent with a touch of coriander and a balanced dose of lavender; somehow I do feel a touch of Amber or Mint, I don't know exactly what it is, as that ingredient gives it its required freshness, which makes it even more unique. I would definitely say try it atleast....This is going to be a permanent fragrance in my collection a must have for me for its sophistication and awesome fragrance!

This is a great juice, sweet but masculine. The Intense version is rounder than the OG, not necessarily a better performer or more intense than it. It does smells better to my nose and that's why I picked it up. It should be a no-brainer for the price (less than 20 bucks). Bear in mind this is a Woody Ambery Fougere (with Oriental spices complementing it). The floral part is not very accentuated, flower notes are background, rounding the other notes. "Grape soda" is there, it's part of the DNA, but it's not as grapesoda as the OG (with extra lychee note that exacerbates that "grapeness").

finally got my hands on this NUCLEAR BEAST....man i love it....i love the original and pure&deep version as well..only the blue one missing.so this is for youngsters in my opinion to all men out there who love a beast mode cheapie but GOODIE...its like grape soda feel with vanilla and loads of bubblegum sweetness.its prolly for cold weather but it will perform any time in the year....in hotter months avoid using it on skin...go on shirt max one and half spray....its the strongest of the line and you will need 10 years to finish this bottle 10/10 for smell,lasting and value

I get the grape soda in the opening, which makes place pretty quickly for a lovely clean laundry-esque orange blossom with a hint of citrus. Normally I'm not into fragrances that feature white florals, but this is addictive! The aromatics and woods are a bit more towards the background. This is orange blossom front and center. Performance is very good, especially for the price. Jacques Bogart does not miss! 9/10. Edit: I've worn this a few more times and I am absolutely obsessed with it, upgraded rating to 10/10. My wife adores this scent too and likes to wear it herself.

This is a loud scent at first, but that's because it's made to last, if cry babies hate the initial smell then they can go play with their aqua di gio's. The dry down lasts forever, and that's a great thing if that's what you're looking for, for your day. If you don't feel like smelling this all day or don't want a long lasting scent then don't use this. If you do, then great.. After 4 hours, this really shines and the dry down is beautiful. 1 spray is good.. 2 spays on extra cold days. Don't go over 2 spays. Do not go over 2 sprays.

To my nose, this one reminds me a lot of the Givenchy pour Homme Blue Label. I guess it must be the lavender/cardamom/citrusy combination... This is one of the cheapest fragrances in my collection, however, here in France, where people seldom give compliments on such things, Silver Scent Intense is a compliment beast! Everyone always asks me what I am wearing. Sometimes I layer it with Emporio Armani Diamonds Black Carat... that gets even more compliments! just go very easy on the spray, this is seriously potent!

My first ever fragrance. Received as a gift when I was 13. Thoughts: The scent is a very basic fresh, citrus-y and aromatic scent, however it is very versatile and fabulous for the price. Even in my shelf, with multiple $100+ fragrances, I still sometimes find myself wearing this one. Reminds me of ysl y/bleu de chanel, but less than 1/5 of the price. If you’re new to fragrance or are just looking for a nice, simple fragrance, this is always a great choice and a very safe blind buy. Overall: 8/10

Borrowed this fragrance from my father, but I might get a bottle for myself. Unique and fresh masculine scent. I didn't get the grape soda everyone's talking about here lol .. I love grape soda so I kinda wish I did. Although it IS very strong and I definitely should not have sprayed as much as I did, I loved this perfume. I also loved the bottle but that's besides the point. It has lasted a LONG time on me, still smells good, it's not expensive - I just don't see negatives :)

At first I didn't like it cuz it was really strong and I got headache of it. Now I can tolerate it better and during colder days/nights 1-2 sprays of this plus 3-4 sprays of a vanilla-based scent (24 Gold or Raghba) over it makes a wonderful combination. I can really feel the dark smell of oud in this scent despite its price. Sometimes I have paid much more for an oud-based scent that does not have as much oud as this one in it. Do not blind buy this one, I would say!!

At this price point it's a favorite. Unique mixture of floral spicy tops and settles into a lavender-pumped woody-ish combination. Very assertive and manly, yet sweet and attractive. This thing lasts very well specially on clothes (6h+). Also a multi-purpose. While mainly a night out/club fragrance, it is also suitable for young gents showing strong presence in corporate/formal events. Fresh enough for summer nights, warm enough for the winter.

This scent is my absolute favourite scent on a man. One smell and I'm wild and maybe even in love. I have no clue why anyone would pick up grape soda OR bubble gum. It isn't anywhere near as sweet as that to me. But, then again, the man I smelled it on for the first time probably had natural pheromones that hyped that up for me. Still, I bought it the next day and have dabbed it on my pillow ever since to help me sleep.

I have yet to be disappointed by a single product from Jacques Bogart. Great strength, extremely different smell that revels in the fact that it smells synthetic instead of being ashamed of it, super long lasting and of course a super good bang for your buck. This one truly has it all and is right up there with another one of my favorites from the house, JB Pour Homme. Wonderful stuff if you can keep an open mind.

Awesome perfume with great longevity and sillage. Good projection. Here most of the guys said it's grape soda. I don't agree on that. Lavender and cardamom is potent here and it is similar to YSL la nuit d'l homme and zara night pour homme III. Drydown leans to more masculine.. Compliments getter,head Turner. Just go for it without hesitation. Nothing synthetic here. Worth for the money.. love it..

Humphrey Bogart used this Bogart fragrance in Casablanca. Ingrid Bergman cried a lot because she would never smell again Bogart's Bogart fragrance if she wouldn't stay with Bogart. As time went by, I learned to envy Bogart's Bogart fragrance... but not any longer because I bought 2 x 100ml flasks of Bogart's Silver Scent Intense. Fantastic Fragrance!!!! I know now why Ingrid Bergman wept so much.

Grape aromatic. This smells incredible to me and reminds me of the Game of Spades Wildcard I got recently which is a clone of Bond No. 9's Lafayette Street. I don't find this polarizing at all. Smells phenomenal. I'd wear this to meet your mom.... and your sister too. I'm not getting phenomenal performance, but it's decent, and at this price, I'll just spray more.

Jacques Bogart Silver Scent Intense is perhaps the sweetest fragrance I've come across... definitely have to follow the 1 spray rule when it comes to JB. A great fragrance for the collection, wouldn't recommend to spray on clothes. I'm still on the original release bottle and I feel the years have seriously amped up the potency of this frag.

This frag is a beast-mode, with a silage bigger than CaseOh, a scent trail longer than my stinky wet farts, and the longevity of Johnny Sins. This frag is cheap and worth your money, if you don't have money just fanum tax it from the shop. Get this frag, it will drop panties, pull baddies and get you sloppy.

A truly superb fragrance, I agree with a comment below that this is a masterpiece. You see I get the notes of lavender, grape, orange and sweet lemon at first smell, but then there is this sensational zing of freshness as a second wave that I have not experienced from any other fragrance. Another Bogart gem.

For me this perfume is 10/10 To my nose it’s like Mugler Alien on steroids! I am so glad that I have found it. This beast fills a room pretty easy so careful with the sprays guys ! Ladies love it , you will get compliments for sure, the quality/price is unbeatable! DO BLIND BUY IT! Thank me later !

For now the best club scent. Innovative for me. good very good longevity but not good sillage. The bottle is a disaster,the plastic has broken after few sprays and the perfume remains on the sprayer of the bottle and the bottle remains dirty with perfume everywhere.

This has the joop homme vibe but less sweeter . 2 sprays is more than enough because it is so potent . Sillage and longevity is awesome for the price (performance is better than most clubbing fragrances ). Definitely suitable for colder days.

Very good perfume, but tons of people buys it and it kinda ruins the unique feel from using it. Also - this is a very NIGHT perfume or Winter one, not so good for wearing in the summer hot days you will get headache from it. Its very sweet

Ok, this is my Favorite Fragrance at all.... Still Smell Pure Grape Juice with pure flowers Oil remixed together in a bottle contains some agar wood oil. Long Lasting and Enormous Sillage.... 10 / 10

I blind bought it based on coments. Bullseye!!!! Super scent, mega sillage, lasts an eternity!!!! Hiper underrated. Do yourself a favour: buy one ASAP. 10.1/10 ;-)

Smells like Dunhill Icon, but better. Easy daily reach, even in warmer weather. This should have a rating of at least 4, IMHO.

Jacques Bogart Silver Scent Intense opens with a moderate projection of orange and white floral accords. The orange and lemon notes come up as slightly sharp and sweet, the resulting tone is a balanced mix of orange and lemon, however, the lemon is a short-lived note, it appears for just a moment and then it dissipates leaving the orange alone; the orange flower is a soft sweet floral accord. The lavender and geranium mix adding a floral touch but it isn’t as prominent as the orange flower; the rosemary, nutmeg, cardamom, and coriander add a spicy touch, but soft. As the fragrance commences to dry-down, the vetiver adds a green grassy touch, the agarwood, teak woody, and oakmoss combine their tones into a woody accord. The oud in this fragrance is more “woody” than “oudy”. Finally, the tonka bean becomes noticeable adding an aromatic, sweet, and projecting accord. The fragrance develops a synthetic leather-like accord towards the dry-down. The most noticeable changes in this fragrance are the short-lived lemon accord that occurs during the opening.
