Silver Scent Midnight

I tracked down a bottle of this rare juice. The SS signature orange blossom/tonka grape soda accord is definitely here (as though anyone expected otherwise...), and it would be easy for some to lump the whole SS lineup into this LAZY categorization, but we of the Bogart Appreciation Society know better. There ARE differences between the SS flankers, and it takes a highly sensitive nose trained in advanced chemical warfare to tell the difference. I think what sets this one apart is the use of artemisia and sage. It definitely has an herbal undertone compared to the other SS flankers. It smells "modernly masculine" in the same vein as other recent releases that feature herbal elements: YSL Y, Mr Burberry Indigo, etc. But of course Bogart does it better. It's youthful but not juvenile. There is, I detect, a trace element of Bogart Pour Homme/OMS in all Bogart fragrances: that synthetic-older-man thing that makes all Bogarts more interesting than the fraternity bro shower gel fragrances out there. Verdict: I love it and will wear it when I want something fun, long lasting, and informal. It can work in cold or warm weather due to its aromatic/sweet combination- nothing heavy like amber or oud. Long may House Bogart reign as the king of beast mode cheapies.

This is great, if I had to pick one Silver Scent, it would be this one, it feels like it smells a little bit of everything from that line. Still potent, but not as challenging. Also, the more I wear it and the more I like it, while other Silver Scents are definitely fun to wear, but tiring on the long run. It does have a fresh and juicy opening, with grapefruit, synthetic for sure, but less harsh than SS or SSI for instance. I might be influenced by the "Reminds me of" section, but it definitely reminds me of Y EDP, or any other Blue that is the trend nowadays. It just smells more interesting and full-bodied. It transitions into something more floral and creamy in the mid, with a more pronounced orange blossom accord, and Tonka. It’s fresh and sweet overall, a bit herbal, but it has depth and doesn't feel too juvenile, so it would make a perfect 4 seasons scent.

Very nice :) silver sent DNA mmmmm! i thought more Bogarte pour Homme floating about with a touch of storie red and much sweater than both. there is nothing harsh about this one and seems quite smooth to my nose. its certainly strong and hope the longevity is as good. The grapefruit is a support player only just adding to the sweetness. for 19.99 id say this was a solid buy and worthy of an everyday signature sent. i wonder if the autumn and winter will amp it up as that seems to be the suggestion of others. so far its a solid 7.5 from me. its a chuck on and smell good type of smell, its strong but not offensive, sweet but again not bubblegum offensive.

This is a sweet fresh fragrance with that Silver Scent DNA. It's sweeter than Silver Scent Aqua, and maybe most of the other Silver Scent flankers. It's been too long since I smelled YSL Y so I can't make that comparison. I can say it's in similar vibe to Invictus or Wanted. I'd say Midnight is a great name for this actually. To me this doesn't really smell like a "blue" fragrance, or generic at all. It smells like the bottle should be dark purple instead of dark blue. Although it's a very versatile fragrance that works in any situation or season.

I'd call this the quiet achiever of the Silver Scent line. Lots of versatility. Cannot think of a season or situation where this won't work. It starts off with a kick-ass grapefruit opening, which is even fresher and more invigorating than SS Pure. Then, as it evolves and settles into the Silver Scent DNA, it offers a little sophistication. Less grape soda and more grape spritzer. Far less metallic than standard Silver Scent too.

i love how it smell like grape. i think it is good for winter and spring it has those ingredients that would really out stand in the winter and spring. i love this cologne cause it really lasts long and i got lots of compliments for the longevity and how strong it smell. this is a shout out to u guys that want a more long lasting cologne and that could be very strong and is most definitely a cheap fragrance

Silver Scent Midnight This fragrance is Jacques Bogart’s version of Invictus, YSL Y, Wanted, Born In Roma, etc. If you like that type of fragrance profile, you’ll probably like SS Midnight. Performance wise you cant go wrong with this. You get the same quality, strength, and low price that you get with most Jacques Bogart fragrances - especially that of the Silver Scent line.

Silver Scent Midnight has the best opening in whole Silver Scent Line, not as synthetic as the rest. The cardamom note really pops and is similar to Bogart Story Green. The sweet Silver Scent grapefruit note is well balanced and not overpowering. If the OG Silver Scent feels a lil juvenile and playful this one feels grown up.

Fresh, sweet and spicy Scent 🤤

Silver Scent Midnight was launched in September 2017 in the international market. It is the fifth flanker of the Silver Scent line, which started in 2006 with the original version and was followed with fidelity by the Intense version in 2009. Later in 2014, the brand released the third version - called Deep - and I confess that I thought, at the time, that the variations would end with it, which in my opinion, was the soberest fragrance among the three. It was also in Silver Scent Deep that the compositions began to change a bit (not drastically), with the lemon exchange by the grapefruit at the output. In 2015, with the release of the Pure version, the company showed that this line still had a lot of stories to tell and that it is possible to bring variations of the same subject in a perceptible way and without giving up the main DNA, something that seems to have been lost in the recent years, including within prestigious brands. Silver Scent Midnight arrived with the approach of being a nocturnal and casual scent, made for the man who enjoys the night and its parties, whether alone or accompanied. It is very clear the commercial attempt to launch a fragrance of this style, at a time when the whole industry is betting on similar fragrances, full of that concept of seduction (and nuances of cinnamon and tobacco). Once again, I am obliged to praise the company that avoided the standard and, above all, tried to maintain the olfactory path that exists in the other fragrances of the line. Silver Scent Midnight has notes of grapefruit, sage, and cardamom, in the head; Artemisia, nutmeg, and orange blossom, in the body; Tonka beans, cedar, and guaiac wood, in the base. On the skin, it works more as a night version of the last release (Pure), but it does not give up on bringing the famous nuance of orange blossom, the signature of the Silver Scent pillar. The aromatic side of the fragrance is due to the Artemisia, while the base brings the woody and light content of cedar (almost diurnal), at the same time it is sweetened by tonka bean. The visual pattern remains the same and the bottle has been painted in midnight blue color, reinforcing the concept. Diffusion and impact are not and have never been problems for Bogart perfumes, so there is not much to add to these issues. For those who like the line, it is a scent of nocturnal appeal, but not too redundant. For those who do not like it, I remember that popular saying: "What would be of the blue if everyone only liked the yellow?"

Sharp, green and pretty invigorating. In the start it reminds me of the silver scent soda grape DNA slightly but it fades away pretty quickly and only the sharp fresh greenness remains, most likely the artemisia is a star here. It's not something really that special but it is a different take from Bogart here and if you want something different from the OG silver scent DNA that actually has a sharp green invigorating edge to it then this might be for you. Leaning towards the warmer days for me, but not the ones that are too hot. Performance-wise seems close to, if not just a tiny bit below the silver scent intense, if i were to compare them in this regard; so pretty long lasting. Edit: after some more wears it leans more towards the OG club grape soda DNA rather than going into the sharp cool green smell unfortunately

Interesting. Very interesting. This smells like your general Silver Scent Intense, but perhaps a little smoother in the dry down, and it has lost a little of the grape opening, the sweetness is a little more downplayed in Midnight. I reckon if you’ve got the regular Silver Scent then you’ve basically got this too, there’s only the tiniest of differences. The “unforgettable sillage” is a little bit of an overstatement, all of Jacques Bogart frags are good performers, and this is no exception, but even still I don’t think this hits beast mode, close but not quite. All in all, it’s a good fragrance, I dig it. It’ll have you smelling good and will definitely get some head turns and compliments. Very affordable too.

No idea how this stuff is so strong for $35NZD. Projection and longevity are dior sauvage EDP levels if not stronger. I really like the base of this scent alot especially when its worn on skin, the top notes like the grape kinda fade off and it becomes more musky but on clothes that grape note is too strong for me. This stuff lasts for days on clothes. The entire collection is so cheap and strong its worth getting them all, I tried Silver scent midnight, Silver scent pure and the Silver scent on my skin this and silver scent pure were about a tie but might go grab the silver scent pure as it toned down the sweetness a bit.

I finally got my hands on a bottle of Silver Scent Midnight. It's not bad. In the opening it reminds me of Y EDP by Yves Saint Laurent. They share several similar notes like sage, cedar and tonka. The usual Silver Scent grape chewing gum dna is present but as others have said it's toned down in Midnight more than the others in the line. It has excellent longevity but projects a bit less than the other SCs. As it wears on I notice the sweet grape note more and more. It's not bad but my favorite in the line is still Silver Scent Deep. This one should have more mass appeal than a lot of the other Bogarts.

Bogart Silver Scent Midnight... ...yes it is very similar to Bogart Silver Scent. They both share the core DNA but JBSS Midnight is a little bit less screachy than the original. It is mellow and smells like a very nice fabric softener. I don't understand how some think it smells like Grey Flannel from Geoffrey Beene....uhhhhh GBGF is violet and the rest of it and then some....

My first impression after a blind buy - Its smells cheap, its synthetic, dosent have a statement. Its harsh on nose in the beginning, its not something that you would want to smell again and again. But yeah cheap in this price. Will add on more as i use it. My friends dont like it in the first go. Then with time i start to really like it

Good value for money. Great performance.Smells like Bruce wayne having youthful fun at a club. At the mid point of the fragrance I got a slight hint of Green Irish Tweed. Approach this with an open mind and realistic expectations and you will enjoy it.

This is a decent flanker that reminds me of GIT but a bit sweeter.

Great smelling all occasions all weather fragrance
