Les Frivolites

Les Frivolites - this, to me, is mainly raspberry, osmanthus, a peppery rose with soft, soft suede and sandalwood. So very lovely and universally elegant. It's a joy wearing it yet, simultaneously a certain saudade surrounds it bringing gravitas. This is grown up, languid, soothing; a wonderful surprise and happy coincidence. Not for the faint hearted, Les Frivolites is anything but its name but makes you stop, think, consider your options. Beautiful and highly recommended.

This smells exactly like a sour raspberry candy in Europe I used to love as a kid. They have a hard spherical exterior and had a soft filling in the middle. So this smells just like that, there's no suede that makes itself known, it's nothing like Tuscan Leather. I love this scent, only because of the childhood association, but it's very well done.

A floral leathery woody raspberry - reminiscent of so many elegant young fruity perfumes but grown up. LadyofWahey nails it. Sinks close to the skin after a few hours but that's when the most interesting part begins, tiny trails of sweet/sour silage beg a closer sniff.

I don't know what some people here are talking about that it is sour and not good but is not what i smell. And this is indeed a raspberry bomb with rose and love this combo a lot

A great simple and happy parfum. Interesting woody base in the drydown which contrasts well with notes.

Les Frivolités is a sweet scent, initially too sweet in my opinion, despite its prominent leather-woody base. However, it comes into its own as it progresses, and ultimately feels like a floral-fruity with depth and intensity. LF opens with a sweet, peachy osmanthus note, typically powdery but more intense to my nose than it typically appears. Pink pepper adds rosy spice up top too. Raspberry follows, amping up the sweetness, becoming dominant. It is dry rather than juicy, with the suede base note underscoring this scent from early on. I dislike the sweetness here - it is too intense, dry and synthetic for my liking. As it develops, a powdery rose note comes to the fore, forming a floral-fruity accord with the raspberry and osmanthus. It mellows somewhat here, with a nice heliotrope note adding an almond-like smoothness that dilutes the raspberry. It remains full-bodied - it doesn't descend to shampoo territory. It becomes increasingly powdery, with a woody accord developing in the base alongside the suede. It remains sweet, becoming musky as it fades. Sillage is moderate and longevity is long-lasting. It is a feminine, transeasonal scent. I thought I would hate this, based on the initial spray, but LF improves immensely as it develops, its intensely sweet opening paving the way to an interesting, high-quality scent. I wouldn't wear this, but I admire it. Frivolous, but contains multitudes. 4/5.

Testing my sample; this strikes the perfect balance between sweet and serious, opens like sweet (and slightly spicy) peaches, remains sweet as the raspberry comes out before getting noticeably powdery as the sandalwood and suede notes come to play. The raspberry is still there but it's sweetness doesn't overwhelm the powdery aspect. Cool/warmish weather is best for this, I'd wear this all seasons save winter. My sample projects just above my wrist.

Sugary sweet fruity floral. Like a raspberry candy gem with a sour liquid center, infused with a bright fresh rose. I find the opening a bit much but the suede and sandalwood gently come through in the drydown to temper the candy sweetness. Moderately soft projection for 2-3hr, longevity 5-7hr.

Once upon a time, PDM Delina and Guerlain French Kiss had a child... very nice rosy powdery angel dust heliotrope.... unfortunately longevity and sillage are poor 😢

Smells like sweet powdered candies. Literally, all I smell is fruity hard candy and some lipstick. That’s it! It’s quite pleasant but also very naive. Not bad!

Fresh, a bit sweet but not sugarsweet. Flirty & happy. A scent for springtime, in my opinion. Like it a lot. (Samplekit)

Suede and rose heavy but the combination with osmanthus leans somewhat sour on my skin, almost animalic.

Third perfume that managed to scare me. It smells like aliens came up with it as a weapon, a vaguely candy and fruit-like scent that starts developing an organic off putting body smell, something that makes you recoil so your first association is excrement even though it's not exactly like it.

Do you ever keep trying something, hoping that it will open up to you and that you’ll experience it differently? How I wish I could palpably smell the breakdown of the notes! Les Frivolites is pleasant, but it remains thin and airy: crystalline raspberry candy and woody musk. No creaminess and powder from the heliotrope, sadly, or fruity depths of rose. Only a sweet/tart fruity musk glued down with blonde woods. I wonder if I cannot smell all the notes. Please send me your other raspberry recommendations if you would be so kind.

This fragrance is sweet initially, but in the drydown the leather note appears and the scent becomes more powdery. It still remains quite soft and creamy, nicely balanced. The pink pepper is not too loud, but adds a certain character to the composition. A very pleasant and wearable perfume with a nice leather/pepper/fruit note contrast.

Flirty rose and raspberry scent, slightly powdery with heliotrope and a soft woody, musky base. It feels fresh and fluffy. Perfect for spring time. Super feminine. I like it a lot.
