Jaguar Classic Motion

Blind buy and first impression: Super! Jaguar Classic Motion is yet another "cheapie", 12 eur/100ml, that smells great, provided you love fresh citrus aromatics, a throwback to 90s and 00s perfumery trends. It hits all the sweet spots from various successful ones from that time. As some reviewers mentioned, it does remind you of CK Crave, but also other successful millennials; I get bits of Davidoff Echo, CK Escape men, Aramis New West, Acqua di Gio, Polo Bue EdT and so on...Surely not a clone of any that I can think of but just touching on different facets of many known others. On a blind test, I would think this is a trademark Alberto Morillas and/or Harry Fremont creation. The main, sticking out note is birch leaf. This is famously used in CK Escape, in combination with sweet orange. Here, the combination happens rather with more zesty citric lemon and herbal coriander. Modifiers and blenders seem to be bergamot and black pepper, lavender giving a slight sweetness, trusting the notes listing. Sea notes are likely to be Calone or derivatives, and I like the fact that it's dosed perfectly not to go over to the raw egg territory, which can happen at higher doses. The hesperidic and herbal bitterness stays throughout until the musk phase at the drydown, turning into a mellow skin scent and not your usual designer woody-amber or gourmand bombs that dries down to the same molecules more or less whatever you choose. Bang for buck is the fitting term for Classic Motion.

This was a long time buy,as the same as it was Cerruti 1881 Riviera,but i was caught into their pocket dimensions............ Motions are surely revolution of bodies,and their shades got in a blink exhale the same breath of a plant that revolves the sunny rays and the dew of a deep fog,cleanising our world and our sustainment,i sure feel the concept of it as the fragrance start its life,but later the motion become the specific movement of a very appealing and recently build and stuffed car,but always crushed by the big heat of a warmer Spring day;this shows us the class and elegance of motions.

This isn't bad. It's very easy and simple. It smells like Pear water. I don't think this smells like Givenchy Gentlemen Only at all. Gentlemen Only is way better than this. This is slightly tart and fruity. It's good if you're looking for something cheap and quick. I give this a 77/100. The more I wear this the more I appreciate it. I get 6-7 hours longevity. It really does just smell like when you eat a can of pears and you smell the water that is left at the bottom and then picture it in cologne form. That's what I get. This is a good fragrance!

Very well done. The perfumer had probably little artistic freedom. It's a generic, mass-pleasing designer type of fragrance. But, the quality is great. I bought this for 15 bucks expecting an ok scent, but it's better than ok. Also, there is no cheap blast of alcohol or imbalance. My rating would be 8.75/10. 10/10 if you take the price in consideration. Another great fragrance by Karine, I haven't smelled anything bad by this perfumer yet. Someone below mentioned this smells like pear water. I don't understand that comment.

Very similar to Bentley Azure for man but more longevity in my opinion. Good and cheap summer scent.

A great one for the price, buy it blind you'll fair quite well. Its floral synthetic citrus notes render similar ambiances to Aqua Di Gio Promufo, with very powdery nuances. Not as well done but passable. Fresh sparkling opening with earthy-green dry-down, I would extend that its a wonderful summer nights fragrance, very pleasing and aromatic, will not disappoint. Artistic and mesmerizing bottle design, ultra-sleek and Jaguar-ish, a pleasure to handle. As all you Fragrantica's know, the bottle is part of the experience and Jaguar Classic Motion doesn't fail to deliver. Overall, a decent fragrance that is floral-pleasing. Performance is weak to moderate 21⁄2hrs on my skin, with the same reports towards longevity, projection, and sillage dissipating at maybe 31⁄2hrs maximum.

SOTD It is a masculine and very versatile scent with exceptional value (about $15ish). I literally got the whole line of them; this is my best one so far. This scent reminds me of cool water or some Tommy Bahama. It's definitely safe for the office or meeting and worth a blind buy. After putting it on my skin 30 minutes later, I can feel that it may be a weak projection cologne; however, it is really not offensive to others.

Excellent value for money. A little bit generic scent, but, yes, it bears the DNA of the legendary CK Crave. Very nice bottle and cap. Universal, weak, but not cheap at all, masculine scent. Strongly recommended!

Great cost performance. Clean, fresh, watery scent. However, a little chemical and flat.

Just an old-school “Dad” fragrance. The aquatic sea notes are really downplayed to just kind of blend in. You mainly just get a classic combination of citrus, linalool, musk, and coumarin. Nice cuz it warms up the citrus.

This one is good for the price if you are in need of an Aqua Di Gio/Issey Miyaki aquatic type scent. I wouldn’t spend over $20.. I paid $14.99 and I’m ok with that. I expected to see Yuzu in the notes, but didn’t. It must be the mint and birch mixing with the citrus that made me think of Issey. It opens fairly synthetic with a sharp aquatic citrus (think ADG, but less quality) and seemed very generic to my nose. Very one dimensional. After it calms down a bit you get more freshness from the birch which is needed (and nice), along with what I believe is the lavender and coriander adding some weight to ground it and making it a bit smoother and fuller. It becomes a bit earthier (not dirty.. just more character) at the dry down. It stays pretty linear, as the citrus and oceanic notes seem to overpower the others. I will say when first cleared the nozzle it was headache inducing, and up close it’s still synthetic and not very friendly. I wouldn’t bury (or have someone else bury) your/their nose in it. You might pop an ibuprofen afterwards, or apologize for the strength of the “motion” of your “ocean”. The major positive is the sillage smells really good to me. I kept getting whiffs of something while testing it out on my wrist along with Davidoff Adventure on the other. I kept thinking wow that smells good, and thought it was Adventure.. but no. I think it was the vetiver, birch and patchouli making it fresh from about 3-5 inches away with the citrus aquatic vibe adding a nice touch. Up close it was not so great. Ages are high school and up, but probably better for college. Definitely not a refined scent, and more sporty than classy so it would probably suit the younger crowd. Day to night leaning day.. it can be a bit cloying so maybe a cooler summer night would work as well. Definitely a spring/summer summer scent, but like I said it’s somewhat synthetic so easy on the button if it’s really hot out. Projection is not bad and longevity is decent. For $14.99 you could do worse, and if you’re in need of an ADG or Issey type of scent and don’t have the dough to blow this could be a good option. Overall.. decent juice.

bought this on sale this weekend form fragrancebuy.ca for under $20.00 and all I can say is wow! This is a great classy scent.Smells a bit like Calvin Klein Crave and just a tad like ADG along those lines. Starts off very citrusy and fresh then comes some light woods and it dries down a bit green. Don't be fooled this smells like it's worth twice the price.I honestly got about 7 hours longevity and another 2 as a skin scent. For under $20 you couldn't go wrong, I got compliments right away! Don't believe the haters this is more than respectable as a cheap scent better than pretty well everything else in this price range and would make a superb gift someone would be more than happy to receive!

Needed to get that free shipping so decided to check this out, never had a Jaguar scent before. I gotta say it's not great. To me it is very reminiscent of those little bars of soap you get in a hotel. It's not terrible, but very as others said generic, strong projection yet short lived. I had plans to keep it as a dumb reach but I think it wouldn't be something I could wear in public.

The notes sounds promising , beside I have jaguar Classic & Classic Black which I love , so im ganna keep my fingers crossed till I have the pleasure 2 test it !!!!!

Very nice scent and good value. It is quite similar for me to great discontinued CK Crave. Beside Evolution, second greatest from Jagg.

Toooooooo generic! I don't get why such a content of bergamot could be that costly.
