Jaguar Classic Red

My bottle of Jaguar red arrived yesterday, so I have been able to wear it now for 2 days and I really love it. Longevity is not great, but not terrible either. I get about 3-4 hours where I can smell it, and I even got a compliment at work about 2 hours after I applied it (I used 4 sprays total). After 3-4 hours, it is a skin scent on me, but not entirely gone. It does last longer on clothes, as many other scents do this too. On me this has a very soft, creamy musk scent (kind of like Jovan) or something 70s (in a good way). My skin does not pull berries from this or many other scents, but I can see why people mention berries. Jaguar classic red is soft, warm, clean and very comforting. Very inexpensive, but the actual bottle, sprayer and box are very high end. I am very happy I blind bought it.

This is a sweet, aromatic fragrance that I like! It's modern yet classic yet! The candle reminds me of the woody nature of Nikos Pour Homme, but there is an exciting, sexy sweet base that makes me feel the inspiration of Extase Pure Passion! One of the best Jaguar fragrances I met! I love scent and volunteer blows for myself every day from it! 10/10 my rating and value for money are unbeatable! This is a scent that represents the highest category and completely neglects the car perfume category and gives you the experience of the oldest classic perfume manufacturers! I have a separate shelf in my closet! One of the few scents in which raspberries perfectly harmonize with woody bases! Master Work!

I’m a Jaguar fragrance fan, I have Classic Blue, Black, gold and now Red. This is a unique fragrance and on me it starts out fruity and citrus then as it dries down you get hints of pepper and the raspberry. There is wood, amber and musk with just a touch of vanilla. You can blind buy any Jaguar cologne just like Bentley. This would work well for a date or with your wife it is more of a personal space fragrance. Also if you are wearing it in a higher populated area such as the office or Church, you will smell great and not overpower anyone.

this is a cheaper alternative of Midnight in Paris and Bvlgari Black....thats what i get. ofcourse those other two are both masterpieces, but this is amazing too...up top is lovely sweet fruity raspberry and berries, and the dry down is powdery amber and vanilla musk to my nose.longevity is moderate.excellent juice and really pretty bottle.bang for buck all the way.will make nice night out and clubbing scent with 5/6 sprays.easily could be unisex

For 13€ this stuff is amazing believe me. You must judge every fragrance thinking about its price tag. If you compare it with fragrances that cost 200€ you will find differences no doubt but you have to think about its price also. Good quality, good performance and fantastic price. Easy blind buy for me

Don't underestimate this juice. Warm, sweet, fruity and gorgeous. Longevity is very good too. Value point is excellent. I have had perfumes costing 3 times the price of this and they are no where near as nice or have the potency. A real gem.

I like this better than all the other jaguar fragrances I've smelled. It's very warm, sour fruity, and vanillic from the tonka. At $15 USD it was a huge surprise and worth it. It is strictly a winter frag in my opinion.

A sweet, warm, fruity and vanilla juice. Very smooth. It performs moderately well and is cheap as chips. Another very pleasant Jag. Will buy more when I run out.

The scent is very good! The projection is not strong but it does stay on clothing well throughout the night. I can smell it the next day. Worth the purchase

Perhaps the Jaguar brand, in collaboration with the perfumer Karine Dubreuil-Sereni, was inspired by the red colour of the 1952 Jaguar C-Type to give the name to this creation. The fact is that, when I smell the perfume and close my eyes, red is the first thing that comes to mind. It will be the presence of red fruits, and it will be the sweetness and warmth it releases, but I can’t help but associate this aroma with the colour red. Overall, the scent is mainly sweet, fruity, and woody, with other minor accords. To give you an idea, I could group Classic Red with Jacomo de Jacomo Rouge and Desire for a Man EAU DE TOILETTE, perhaps not similar, but with the same atmosphere. Classic Gold? Yes, remembers it a little, and I find some notes in both, but the apple accord is absent here, and Red is milder than Gold. The first thing I smell at the opening is red raspberries, semi-sweet, with a little freshly squeezed citrus juice. The presence of red fruits, velvety and pulpy, is remarkable, while the citrus part is subdued and ensures that the perfume does not veer towards something sour. There is a tinge of blackcurrant berries, but the raspberries overwhelm them and are responsible for the fruity edge in the opening. Do not overspray or you will go nose blind soon. The middle stage fades into the spicy and green floral territory. More on the blotter than on the skin. I get a lot of hot pepper mixed with jasmine nuances, but not too floral or indolic. Instead, I catch a leafy and herbal tinge, as if crunched leaves were standing in place of flower petals. The greenness is probably because of the laurel leaves, which are delicately fragrant but have a bitter taste. A sweetness perhaps coming from the bottom layer is lingering in the background. It is both sweet and powdery, which is a characteristic of the coumarin and makes the scent more agreeable. From time to time, the bay bitterness kicks in. Finally, the scent turns woody, a tad dirty and salty, yet never marine. I don’t get the synthetic ozone accord and the scent is not aquatic. Again, the blotter diffuses a dry and woody cedar along with the spicy pepper, which I do not get so strong on the skin. It even includes patchouli and vanilla, though both are not dominant, and they just serve to balance the other ingredients. It is not too filthy or too gourmand. Nonetheless, there is an overdose of coumarin, not cloying yet dominant in the last stage. The white amber is nothing but aid to prolong longevity. Jaguar Classic Red projects well in the first hours. Instead, the longevity is a bit disappointing, a few hours and then is gone. Not a bad thing for people who don’t like long-lasting fragrances. It is safe and I see the scent as a good choice to wear at work. It is not offending, perhaps better for afternoon and evening events. Its sweetness makes me reach it during the cold fall and warm spring months. A devious mind. I thought it was an oriental sweet winter scent, rather it's a bright creamy and a tinge leathery red gem that shines in the spring! Thanks, Karine Dubreuil-Sereni for this gift, I appreciated it. When will I ever learn eh? I blind bought this because I'm a bit obsessed with Jaguar fragrances at the moment. I never realised just how many there were out there, I know there's not that many compared to some brands but they seem to keep popping up in TK Maxx. Following a quick check on here I think to myself I'll have a punt on a little 40ml of this or that. I own one of the Loewe Solo line and Jag Red is compared to Absoluto (probably my favourite of those) add that to the comparisons with B*Men and I figured it was a no brainer, but more about that in a minute. Generally speaking Jaguar Red is a fruity, oriental fragrance which is in keeping with the last one I got Jaguar Gold but they both suffer from what I've dubbed the 'Dunhill effect'. Nice ideas which come from diferent places to the mainstream but just kinda cheaply executed. In fairness to Dunhill though they have some real unique releases like Edition. Anyway...Red opens up very strangely indeed with a clean, kind of bandage smell, and not something particularly pleasant, which had me thinking 'This is nothing like B*Men!!!' as I had read in the comment below. Then after 30 seconds or so is transformed with a tart fruitiness, the raspberry, blueberry and bergamot must conspire to make a kind of sweet/sour rhubarb aroma and there it is....sure enough...B*Men. This is quite miraculous really but not the end of the story because that 'bandage' weirdness does come back to haunt in the drydown. For the main part though it's a very interesting vibe, worthy of Mugler himself, a dirty vanilla, patchouli, extremely complex in nature with a little tar and wood in there. Unfortunately this doesn't last that long before it enters another phase which effectly and gradually strips those fascinating qualities down to a cheap, much cleaner but unnerving skin scent. I think the bandage thing I described fits in with the comparisons to the Loewe Solo line, all of which have this quality but in them it seems more deliberate, this just seems a bit hap hazard and messy. It's not bad though and it certainly created some interest. Red is a worthy B*Men substitute at least for a while, with comparative performance but don't go thinking you've found a replacement for the increasingly scarce Mugler because it ain't.

I agree with many here. This here, Ladies & Gentleman is a no brainer. Better than just pleasant. A smooth interpretation of classic & modern that actually puts out a scent that can be used all year round. Yes, a bit synthetic and not the most natural or top of the line ingredients but, the composition is still very good and it punches much higher that it’s weight in the people pleasing field. Opens with a slight freshness of the bergamot that quickly goes into a sweet fruit, vanilla & amber with slight woods in it. I get a real nice Cedar with Tonka dry down and none of the Patchouli or Pepper unfortunately that mingles with that fruity sweetness that is quite alluring for the rest of the duration which is about 4-5 hours. Not a projection beast or a sillage monster but, a few extra sprays gives you a nice scent bubble that’s about an arms length away from you that puts a shit eating grin on my face when I catch nice whiffs of it. Plus, 2 unsolicited compliments from ladies in their 20’s in one wearing while dropping my misses off at a nail salon. For just $12.99US people!! I’ll take that any day of the week, twice on Sunday.

I've worn this a few times now. Super cheap buy and more of a cologne feel from the lightness of it despite the vanilla tonka patchouli combination. I wish I got more fruit. Lalique products like this, outside of encre noire line, I can easily go 3 to 4 sprays and I go blind to them almost immediately. On skin, this goes straight to spicy vanilla and it's light and present on skin and clothes for about 4 hours. I have nothing like this other than Azzaro pour homme Elixir which is much stronger and sharper but dries to similar base on my skin. I use this for easy days at home. It's got a clean laundry and sporty vibe. Recommended if you like vanilla and are ok with light airy fragrances with an ambery feel. It's okay.

Jaguar classic red is nice. It smells pleasant, but it is not a world-class scent. Good spray, good presentation. This is good, not memorable. Smell is good for the price, but not better. This would be a good starter scent or appropriate for someone who does not take scent too seriously. The opening is fruity and a bit soapy. It is pretty linear, but does soften around the edges as the notes blend together after 2 hours. There was a favorable comparison to Midnight in Paris below that inspired me to try this. I simply do not make the connection in this case. On my skin this does goes away after 4 hours. I also own Jaguar Gold and I like that scent more. It almost smells like a car freshener.

Basically smells like a cheap Angel B*Men. This is ok, as B*men's discontinued(though I gave my bottle of that stuff away for some odd reason). Though the longevity is probably the same, Jaguar's "rendition" :O lmfao is made with whatever makes you nauseous and headachey(that's not why i gave my b*men away btw). Like, I Like this...because it smells good and unlike anything on the market(currently, ahaha) but I don't love it because I wear smells to feel good, not sick...and most colognes don't make me feel sick...but this and Jaguar Classic Amber(though smell great) make me feel quite ill physically. W/e keeps costs down? ;) but ya, this was $19.99 at Shopper's Drug Mart.

Hands up for Jaguar Classic Red I have this one now for a week and I have used it 3-4 times. And I will rate it somewhere between Love it and like it. Probably like it, just because I can not believe this to be a love for this price. Very nice fragrance indeed. Decent performance also. Warm and sweet but not overwhelming. Although it doesn't match Allure Homme sport eau extreme, which is the best fragrance I have, performance wise, scent wise and versatility. Doesn't have to be. It only needs to match my new car, the Jaguar XF. I am sure it will do just fine, after a few months once the beautiful new leather scent starts to dissipate.

I bought this at the discount shelf from my local pharmacy after watching Joy Amin give it a positive review. Thought what the hell. It was super inexpensive. First night I wore it, I had three "You smell amazing" compliments. It's not my favourite. Grown on me a bit though. But surprisingly, it's a crowd pleaser. Wore it again tonight and someone said in my group "who smells good?". It was me, we were outside, he was a few feet away, and I had only put two sprays on. Do find it unique. So if you want a cheapie to throw in your collection, grab a bottle. I find it could work all seasons. Feels more spring/summer night though.

At first this remind of Jaguar Vision...or better said, a lighter version of Jaguar Vision. It doesn't have the pineapple or red apple, but still the opening is absolutely fruity. But the similarity stops there. Classic Red takes a amber and vanilla road, with some patchouli lingering. The opening is quite daring (like on Jaguar Vision) for a men's fragrance, because of the obvious fruits. But then it becomes refined, more masculine, like a guy who is very confident in his own skin. The drydown is nice, similar to many other fragrances but it keeps sending sweet waves of amber and vanilla.

I was a bit lukewarm in my first review below. This is good. I like it more than before. I came home tired today and sprayed it on me because my scent of the day had worn off. Classic Red was a nice change of pace. The notes are still the same. The weather is cooler. Today felt like autumn and Classic Red was the right scent for today. It is priced competitively and delivers far above the cost. It does not remind me of Bulgari or Midnight in Paris. I love both and would love an alternative, but this is a nice everyday office scent that will give you a little ray of sunshine.

Another clean fresh, but sweet fragrance. Which isn't bad. I like the body wash scent. I get compliments on the clean smell. Raspberry and tonka bean...nice It lasts over five hours. This one's a nice surprise. It's a cheap, versatile juice with a very pleasant and unique fruity opening that dries down to a masculine amber-woody accord. As noted by other reviewers below, this isn't a powerhouse and indeed it doesn't project very much but it *does* last surprisingly long on my skin with four or five sprays. It's mild enough to wear to work and well-composed enough to wear on dates or to dressy occasions. Jaguar fragrances are frequently overlooked but this one is worth a try for men of any age.

just got this , and it smells pretty good , have to say it reminds me very much of Midnight in Paris Van Cleef & Arpels for men EXCEPT WITHOUT THE RUBBER smell . this smells more creamy and more sweet and more vanilla hints of raspberries , i love this much better than midnight in paris i have to say , first spray kinda smells alcoholic then instantly changes into all those other notes i just mentioned .good blind buy i rate this a 8.5 /10

Wow, It smells amazing ! Fruity, Elegant and Classy. This perfume has high quality composition. It opens up with like semi sweet fruity and slightly spicy in the background then dry down is semi sweet ambery woody. This is perfect for the spring and fall. Pleasant fruity opening, later becomes ambery, vanillic - spicy, with touch of deep smoky woods. This makes it refined, elegant and expensive smelling. Sadly, longevity for me 2 hours, and 2 close to the skin. But i can't complain too much, it's a killer for this price. Scent - 8 Longevity - 5 Sillage - 5 Versatility - 7 Price - 10

My second Jaguar fragrance, already have and very much like Classic Black. Top note was fruity, very pleasant. Dried down to a nice fresh powdery , vanilla ad woody scent, really like how this smell. Will be trying a few more Jaguar fragrances in future. This was a blind buy, inexpensive and very pleased with results.

The raspberry note really stands out in this. This smells like how an actual Red fragrance should smell imo. I just wish this had better longevity. It projects great for the first 1-2 hours and then you forget about it later. The fragrance by itself is fantastic! I would wear this to the gym or short errands etc.

It's very cheap but not the smell, I like this sweet unisex frag. I only tested once and impressed me except the sillage, because sits close to the skin. It remnds me of another juice I think Mugler the taste in fragrance without the heavy patchouli, coffee combo

Beautiful refreshing fruity scent, only problem is lasting power - it's the weakest fragrance I've ever had but it's also cheapest one so 5*. Jaguar should make some intense/EdP version of this, smells amazing! Highly recommended!!!

I think this would be a great home fragrance, great to put on after showers, definitely and obviously should not be worn formal gatherings or gatherings. At some point the woody part slowly wears off, makes it a unisex perfume...

Sister scent to Midnight in Paris , a bit fruitier and more generic. It stands out from the other jaguar fragrances as it has a unisex vibe to it. Lasts a couple of hours but it's good for the price .

This has a remarkable balance of sweet-fruity-sour scent like a refined wine, only to disappear 5 minutes later into a skin cent. I wanted it to last longer. Sadly it's too weak. 6/10

Worst blind buy ever. This fragrance those not even come of my skin. I would have to give it more wearings. Maybe up my sprays to 10 and see if it projects a little better.

I blind bought this, great for Autumn, best for indoor or beach (not necessarily). Definitely wouldn’t wear for a very formal occasion (e.g Funerals, Dinners etc).

It's an unisex raspberry main scent. Lasts only 2-4 hours and it's a skin scent throughout. It also gets very powdery like the OG Jaguar as it goes drying. Performs better on fabrics than on skin. I find it suitable for daytime in the fall. If it had better projection it would be very popular.

Started off nice but after an hour, the sweetness went away and it smells like Speed Stick Deodorant. Not bad if you like that smell, but more of an older man's scent to me.

Another blind buy. First impression when sprayed on my wrist? A mature man's scent. I will not recommend this to younger men. Not so fruity, it's kind of a bit peppery and woody during dry-down. After a couple of hours, it's almost a skin scent. The bottle is partly plastic, just like FCUK and other perfume bottles. Unfortunately I didn't like it so I'll just give this away on Christmas.

This is super light and really not pleasant to my nose. It starts off with a strange sweetness then dies down so much so that you have to put your nose right where you sprayed to even get the slightest hint of fragrance. There's really not a lot I can say about this one as it seems like an insignificant scent to me. Buy Jaguar Classic Gold instead if you want a good cheapie.

Nice, generic, safe male scent that hovers on the sweet line bc of the fruits, which are very nice. Performance is ABYSMAL- my bottle has been on the “time-out bench” for over 2 years with no change - shameful that it doesn’t project more. 1.5/5 stars for me

Jaguar Classic Red Men EDT opens with a moderate projection of bergamot and berries accords. The bergamot is soft, well rounded, and not prominent; the raspberry and blueberry create a nice fruity accord but it feels somehow synthetic. Soon after the opening, some patchouli is noticeable, green, classy; the pepper and jasmine are just a touch. As the fragrance dries down, the tonka and vanilla add a soft and sweet aromatic accord, the amber creates a smooth tone that improves a bit the projection. The cedar is just a soft woody touch. The most noticeable change from the opening to the dry-down is the introduction of the tonka, vanilla, and amber and the projection that changes from moderate to moderate-low. The initial berry accords continue into the dry-down, the bergamot does not. Once Jaguar Classic Red has reached its full dry-down, it can be summarized as a moderate to low projection, slightly sweet, aromatic fruity (raspberry, blueberry), tonka, and vanilla fragrance with soft spicy, floral, green, and woody accords. It mixes sweet, fruit, vanilla, wood aromas with the trademark metallic/ozonic aroma I describe as freshly cleaned chrome and associate with the Jaguar line. The fruit smells like red berries as opposed to the citrus or coconut you usually find in a fruity cologne. The drydown evolves into a pleasant fruit tinged powder. Really nice overall. It's very affordable, found at a discount price, and is great quality for the price. Performance is good as well, if not great. One interesting note is that unlike many other flankers in a cologne line, I can actually smell the similarities and differences to my other Jaguar Classic colognes and see how it relates to the line. The only other line I really get that from is the Versace Eros line where I can see how the original and Flame relate to each other. Compare this to, say, a line like Bentley for Men where each cologne is completely different from each other. Don't get me wrong, both are great approaches. But with the Jaguar Classic line I can see how they actually complement each other. The minor quibbles are that the performance could be stronger. More importantly, the entire line is just underrated and undervalued. The exact opposite of the brand name it is associated with. While I can't see this as a designer level cologne, this and the entire line should at least be at the level of Mercedes-Benz or Bentley colognes where it sits above discounter but just below designer level and fills a needed area in the market of affordable but near designer level. These are the same criticisms I have of the Guess line as well, FYI. If the Jaguar line were a bit stronger performers, they could charge more and also raise their reputation in the process. As it is, this is a good cologne at a great price and an easy recommend. It's good for both cool and hot weather, festive occasions, and outdoors use. I could see it being used in formal occasions as long as they are celebratory and not somber.

I was honestly a little disappointed when I finally got to try this one. Don't get me wrong, it's still a very pleasant fragrance. I guess I was expecting it to be brighter because of the dominant raspberry note. The whole thing is a little more muted and powdery than I was expecting it to be. Mind you, that powdery factor probably makes this a lot more versatile than it would be without. I enjoyed it but am glad I tried a spray in the store before blind buying just based on the notes. All in all though I would still recommend this. It's incredibly safe to wear, very unlikely to be off-putting to anybody. On top of that, despite being so safe, it's still not a fragrance I find myself encountering often. A guy can wear this, please crowds and still stand out a bit. Edit/update: I actually went ahead and bought a bottle. Now that I own it, I will air one complaint. The structure of the bottle is built in a way that the atomizer is in a sort of well at the top of the bottle. As a result, when you spray, the bottom portion of the juice shooting out of the atomizer gets caught in that well instead of sprayed onto me. Seems like a pretty shortsighted error on their part, but overall not a big enough complaint to advise against buying this stuff. It's still great.

Starts off citrusy sharp, with a touch of vetiver and some pimento. I don't get raspberry or plum or any fruit at all for that matter, which is what i was hoping for. After a while it transitions into a mildly spicy amber and woods scent. I scratched my head for a while trying to think of what it reminds me of, then it hit me.. Davidoff Hot Water. To my nose it is nearly identical, but Hot Water performs better. The bottle looks cool, but be aware, the chrome parts are cheaply fastened plastic, the bottom piece fell off, and the red glass inner bottle slipped out and landed on the floor, luckily it did not break, but a little super glue is in order...

This does have a bright, amber-soapy opening, but within 30 minutes it becomes more the sweet, fruity vanilla unisex you'd expect reading the note breakdown. There is enough citrus, patch and cedar to keep it out of "cloying" territory, but it certainly on the sweeter side of things. The opening gives you much more of a generic impression than that appealing drydown - give it time and you'll understand what a bargain it is. By a long shot my favorite of the Jaguar Classic line so far.

Smell wise is "JUST OKAY". It is Sweet Fruity and Synthetic. I agree with the last reviewer that it smell like a Fruitier version to Midnight in Paris . The good news is that I find Jaguar Red project 2x futher and last 2x longer than Midnight in Paris. The bad news is that for the same price, Thallium smell way better. If I want a Synthetic Sweet Fruity cologne, I reach for Thallium instead.
