I decided to blind buy this one yesterday because I typically enjoy Jaguar scents. I read the reviews and they seemed confused with what this is. I looked at the comparisons and someone compared this to a Mugler scent and I had to unvote that one, lol, this smells nothing like Mugler pure shot, not even 10% close. I can explain this scent quite well actually. This cologne is a medicinal smelling scent that is almost an exact shoe in for RASASI OUDH AL MISK FOR MAN. The difference between the two however is that this one is a much better blended scent. If this didn’t have the citrus of the orange and bergamot then this would be gross and a total bust. It has just a small amount of sweetness, but it doesn’t last long and luckily by then the vanilla starts to kick in. It’s almost hospital medicinal like, but goes in a slightly different direction than ROAMFM. The main stars in this one are Patchouli, Vanilla, Wood,Citrus, and the leather. The spice from the coriander doesn’t allow this to become too sweet, and the violet leaf matches the wood, and neither overpower eachother. This is what I wish that Rasasi bottle I mentioned above would have been like, I like this because it’s almost middle eastern smelling, but with a western approach. Instead of Oud it’s Cedar here, It’s almost a little more of a no nonsense type of scent, so it’s not playful or versatile. I really like this one, but I understand it won’t be for everyone, and I’m still trying to figure out when and where this scent would be good to use. In my opinion this is a date night fragrance for the fall or winter. Solid 7/10 for me, and the performance is great with this one too. I get about 6 hours.

It is a great Woody Oriental fragrance, Refined, Rich , Airy, Charismatic and Unique , A Modern perfume with classic style and well-blended. I'm a big fan of Jaguar perfumes, Behind this Brand is Lalique House: Art and Quality. One of the best Jaguar Men's fragrances. It opens up with fresh spicy , green and floral notes in the background then dry down is vanilla woody. This is perfect for the spring, summer and fall. The Coriander and Patchouli notes are dominant in this scent. I really enjoy it and I love Jaguar Innovation EDT for Men. Longevity is good. Highly Recommended. Two Thumbs Up. A lovely vanilla and soapy scent. Reminds me of Lalique pour Homme. It's quite inexpensive and smells gorgeous. There is a similarity to Ulric de Varens UDV or perhaps Zino. Innovation is great value as are all Jaguar fragrances. It has a lot of earthy character too. I think this is an excellent scent with a really pleasant silage and excellent staying power. The person who blended Zino cannot be wrong. An overlooked and under-rated scent.

I cannot believe some of the comparisons to others frags but thought I'd ad my own spin on this. This frag open very fresh just a tad citrusy and dries down nearly exactly a clone of Vince Camuto 'Eterno' I kid you not and for $20 or less how could you go wrong? Only this outlasts Eterno by about 7 hours!

Jaguar Innovation Men EDT opens with a moderate projection of intense, sharp, citrus, woody, and leather notes. The bergamot and mandarin are fresh, sharp, refreshing, and short-lived, they come up quickly but also start to quickly dissipate. The coriander adds a soft spicy touch; the cedar and patchouli also participate with fresh woody and fresh green grassy notes, the cedar is prominent. The leather is noticeable, not strong, but projecting, similarly, the musk is a projecting accord but not a prominent note. The vanilla is just a soft sweet touch. The most noticeable changes in this fragrance are the citrus, spicy, and leather opening which changes to a leather, cedar, patchouli, and spicy dry-down. Once Jaguar Innovation has reached its full dry-down, it can be summarized as a moderate projection, cedar, and fresh patchouli fragrance with soft leather, spicy, musky, and citrus accords. The fragrance feels airy, diurnal, elegant, fresh, gentle, modern, masculine, mild, modern, slightly musky, playful, relaxing, sharp, sporty, slightly sweet, versatile, woody, and very pleasant. Good, a fragrance well suited for the mid and warm months of the year. GENDER: Masculine. The leather tilts it to the masculine side but not for much. AGES: Any. RECOMMENDATION: Jaguar Innovation can be purchased for about $15. the pleasant and projecting cedar and aromatic notes are versatile. This is a great buy. BLIND-BUY: Yes, but only if you are familiar with its main notes. SIMILAR: These fragrances in the same genre. Ferrari Cedar Essence Men EDP is citrus, pine green, and woody, but lacks performance; Jimmy Choo Blue Men EDT is a woody and fresh fragrance with low performance; Salvatore Ferragamo - Acqua Essenziale Blue Men EDT is a basic woody and citrus fragrance; Jacques Bogart Story Green is an affordable green and woody fragrance; Azzaro Chrome Men EDT is very pleasant citrus, woody, and white floral fragrance; Nasomatto Duro is a fantastic woody, leather, and spicy fragrance; Jaguar Innovation EDT is a great cedar, vetiver, soft leather, and spicy fragrance. SUMMARY: A moderate projection, cedar, and fresh patchouli fragrance with soft leather, spicy, musky, and citrus accords. The fragrance feels airy, diurnal, fresh, gentle, modern, masculine, mild, modern, slightly musky, playful, relaxing, sharp, sporty, slightly sweet, versatile, woody, and very pleasant.

Similar vibes for me as others have experienced below. Prominent powder plus woody, patchouli, musk and floral notes are the main blend here. I don't get any vanilla however there is a slight ambery component so perhaps that is how vanilla is contributing? I really like it, signature worthy for casual wear and for under 20$/100ml this is incredible value. I do have other scents that I love which this reminds me of, especially Secret Mission by Baldessarini which is a bit stronger and more floral. Innovation opened with a Skin Bracer after shave herbal kick to the senses and that traditional masculinity lingers to the drydown to set it apart. Great stuff.

Received this last week, blind bought because the price was sooooo cheap. EDT 3.4oz. What I got....tone down Baldessarini Strictly Private (SP). More bright at the top, kind of intense citrus but with the vanilla and patchouli pushing it out and some spices. This last just a few minutes. Then, is all a mix of patchouli, vanilla and.....rose, which is not listed as the flower, but I can smell it. SP is loud, and intense, this is the same, but much softer. I like it!!!. Does not lasts or projects as SP, but is much more versatile, since SP to me, is only a night scent. Very nice bottle too, not important, but just wanted to mention it.

Very enjoyable. Wasn't thrilled at this cheapie when i first saw it, then i sampled and ended up picking a bottle. Coriander and vanilla are the main players here, with a soft woody "roundness" to smooth things even more. This is a all-seasons frag. Maybe during winter it could fall off a bit, but still wearable. Casual but still attention grabbing. Performance is decent, but it's not a beast mode fragrance. I would still definetly recommend to check it out though, considering the price tag you get a very nice juice.

This stuff is a bomb! The Edt version! This fills a room and will stay on your clothes all day! I see why they made a cologne version! Most of what I get is a powdery patchouli smell with a sort of woody talcum powder. It's a masculine scent through and through! If you love the Lalique house and it's branch out brands, you'll love this!!

This smells very masculine and a bit sharp in the opening and reminds me of something, perhaps it was Paco Rabbanes green bottle although I'm not sure. But it definitely smells far more expensive than it is. It lands in a soft woody note and is as is typical for Jaguar good cheapie scent.

SOTD This is a scent that is right in the middle—not too spicy, not too sweet, not too floral, not too green. It's a little bit powdery, but it's still acceptable to me. For the price of around $15ish, it's okay to blind buy. However, it is not a "need to" put into your collection.

I tried this from a 1mL sample spray. I found the initial spray to have an overwhelming disinfectant odor - presumably from the denatured alcohol listed as the first ingredient. Not a typical rubbing alcohol smell - more like iodine. Maybe an unusual denaturant is used. Almost all the top notes were overpowered by that raging cloud. After it had passed in a minute or two, a relatively pleasant mix of scents was left behind. I would call it woody, floral, minty. I find it a little too cloying and soapy for me at times. From time to time, an intriguing, almost delicious combination of woody, sweet notes wafts up. At first, I thought of washing it off, but in the long view, it's not bad. That chemical opening, though ... Wow. This scent isn't expensive enough to fake, so what's the deal? I don't see other reviews mentioning it.

It's alright. The opening is very harsh but when it settles down I get a shaving foam type of smell - lots and lots of patchouli and coriander. It's not very exciting and I doubt it would appeal to younger guys, but I could see a more mature man reaching for this one as a daily driver. Ultimately there's not much in the fragrance that appeals me, but it does have a level of character that a lot of other Jaguar fragrances (a house that I've admittedly rarely been impressed by) seem to lack and it performs well for the price it goes for. You can definitely smell the "Lalique" in this one, if that makes sense... One thing is for sure, it's unabashedly masculine, and while I don't personally love it, I'd have no issue recommending it to the right person. Also, I haven't tried the EdC, so I can't really compare the two.

For $13 I didn’t lose much but I was expecting better. It’s really hard to describe the smell but to my nose it’s a bit sweet, herbal and medicinal. It's different than most other scents out there so if you want something unique, this would be a good choice.

Salty, soapy... smells like an old man, also gives a feeling of using a lot of soap, and cooking a lot. It reminds me of Sex Appeal, just not that bad. Not good either.

Smells like Carmex lip balm, but a bit more complex. Safe, unsexy, recognizable. Leathery vanilla + menthol balm + patchouli'ish note. Weak performance.

This is a crass, headache inducing scent. Patchouli overwhelms this scent. Now I don't mind patchouli; however there is another note, a boozy 'rum' like note (perhaps it is the vanilla) which makes it sickly sweet. The discordant notes mix together straight away, and there is no progression of the scent at all. It's in your face and cloying. The best Jaguar scent that I've smelled is the original green, which is at once masculine, complex and coherent. Choose that one instead of this.

This is an interesting fragrance, and I wonder what the pefumer was thinking. It has "traditional cologne" type qualities, but with a considerably more substantial/"old school" base. Then there is the "lotion" quality that some have mentioned. In fact the base is sort of like Zino but with a few notes missing (most obviously, the strong lavender), and with the lotion quality added. To me it smells "nice" but only in a mild way, and the major problem is that it makes me think of other scents I'd rather be wearing. However, if you are seeking a creamy/'lotion," iris-oriented scent with obvious patchouli, then sure, at current prices, I'd take a chance on it (I purchased an official sample for about a dollar). Another idea is Black is Black Modern Oud, with less patchouli but sweeter (and it cost me less than half of what a 100 ml bottle of Innovation would have cost me) - most importantly, I prefer it over Innovation.
