Jaguar Performance

This is one scent that you need to give a full wear before making any conclusions about it. The top is quite fresh and green with the mint and cypress mixing with the herbal citrus and is quite a nice fresh smelling mix too! You could make the mistake of thinking it’s a summer scent. But give it some time, say an hour and that top softens a lot while the heart comes up, introducing a very satisfying and quite strong projecting warm spiciness introduced by the nutmeg and sage. It still retains some of the freshness from the top notes and added violet though, but overall the composition changes quite dramatically to a much more warm spicy freshness that’s far more suited to autumn wearing. At that point it starts to project very strongly too, and in a good way! I find the nutmeg is perhaps a little under voted too - it adds quite a lot of warm spiciness to the heart. The cypress remains from start to finish but at no point does it dominate, its very well blended to aid the fresh aspects of the scent without shouting over everything else. Perfect! The carnation adds a slight old school vibe I guess, but despite that in no way does this scent smell dated or old school in its overall tone, but quite modern in fact. This warm spicy freshness carry’s on for the most part of the wear and becomes a closer to skin scent at about the 5 hr mark but despite that stays closely noticeable and present for a few hours after that. For a cheapy this is excellent value. It’s also a superb layering scent. I’ve matched it to other warm spicy scents like Just Cavalli I Love Him with all its fruity warm spicy complimentary notes and both together went to another level! I have all kinds of layering in mind for it. Very excited about it because it’s going to be my autumn play about scent where I get to experiment with some fun ways to mix it up! Very versatile. Recommend! EDIT: I’m also noticing since reviewing that the drydown in this scent reminds me somewhat of the drydown of Acqua di Parma Colonia Intensa. There’s a musky incense aroma that prevails in the drydown reminiscent of Intensa. Subtle wafts of nuances of the mint and cypress don’t make it exact, but despite that it captures something of the feel of that scent. With that said it also seems quite heavily influenced by weather & temperature in how it smells and can be a bit changeable from one wear to the next!

For $12 it's hard to find a better fragrance than Jagaur Performance. It's a green and fresh spicey that gives a clean Spring morning vibe. For some reason, I get green apple in this, although it's not listed in the notes. Despite it's name, I'm not impressed with the performance of this one. Of course, for $12 I can't expect much. It lasts a couple of hours on me and becomes a skin scent quickly before completely disappearing. It doesn't project much, which is fine with me because I wear colognes mostly for my own enjoyment and close encounters with the wife. This is nowhere near the beast of its father Jaguar For Men... which still is a powerhouse. In contrast, this is like the youngest son of JFM, quiet, innocent, and not yet ready to explore the world. I initially bought this for my summer rotation, but after smelling it I realized it's much better for the spring because it's more green than it is blue, if you know what I mean. Of course, you can wear this anytime if you want. I just like to wear my own fragrances by the season. I can't see anybody hating Jaguar Performance. It's inoffensive, versatile, unique, and affordable enough to add to any serious collection.Overall rating 7.5/10

It's not a known rock star. It's not a multi oscar awarded artist. It's just a very underrated summer fragrance for men that do remember some very expensive niche fragrances... but it's not trying to clone any other market offer. It's a unique scent. On top of it it has a well above average performance in longevity and projection. I would not swap it for any 4 times more expensive well known summer scent. A couple of them arise to my mind. Another vibe I get from this frag is some similarities with Loewe's Esencia witch is a very different (and also excellent) fragrance. It's difficult to buy a better summer day time EDT at the price you may purchase Jaguar Performance. Its spicy sharp scent and cypress makes this fragrance quite sexy and manly. This is easily the best Jaguar frag together with Jaguar Gold.

A fresh sea breeze over wet grass mainly for me. Got it on today which is a freezing snowy day. First real full wearing. Hope to use it in the summer when I'm out and about and after the gym on my shifts off work. It's perfect for that but inoffensive enough for any kind of day use in my opinion. I've had it on two hours now and a minor criticism is that performance appears so fair to be middling. That said, it should sparkle in the coming hot weather and I was in hospital for an operation yesterday which due to it's nature means I'm a bit dehydrated today. Price is very reasonable for the quality and it's so-far mediocre performance on me is something I suspect won't apply later on in the year.

This is amazing. Like the guy below said, it smells like nothing I have in my collection. A lot of fragrances tend to run together and overlap identities of others, almost like clones. But this one is very unique. Fresh, clean, with a nice punchy, modern, oakmoss. Very soapy. I like that. The best I can compare it to is Mugler Cologne if there were an extreme of an extreme version. Mugler Cologne Extreme squared. With a nice, classy, mossy twist. That's the best I can compare it to, but it really does stand in a league of its own. This took me by surprise.

JAGUAR PERF(ECT)ORMANCE.! I bought a 100ml for 9.99 + 3.99 deliv. from wowcher, It was a blind buy. Well, it is better than I expected!! This is a pleasant blend of floral - pine - citrus - leathery - imagine yourself inside a luxury car a nice sunny day! It is 100% for men, classic, mature but not dated. If you are 30 + it's fine! I think it is mostly for summer but I believe it's very OK for any season. I just order another one for back up! Although not the same it reminds me a lot Cerruti 1881 Pour Homme. This is one of my very favorites!!

I love this stuff and suprisingly am impressed with Jaguar fragrances. I have the original Jaguar for men which also smells very good. This stuff is like jaguar for men with lighter notes. It is spicy but also powdery. Its fresh and clean and I can sense the birch, pimento which gives its spicyness and suprisingly the palm leaf... reminds me of the palmetto leaves in Georgia where I spend some summers. Its inexpensive, smells really good and fairly light. I will be in this stuff constantly this summer.

Blind bought this yesterday for $30 NZD based on some of the reviews here. Pleasantly surprised with it. It's great for everyday summer wear. Lasts quite a long time. Projects for about 3 hours then becomes a nice, refreshing skin scent. Would totally recommend this to anyone looking for a summer cheapie. Longevity: 7/10 (lasts about 8-10 hrs) Sillage : 8/10 (about an arms length) Smell : 9/10 (amazing fruity smell) Overall : 9/10 (excellent quality for price)

Wearing today because it's a little cooler day as we enter September. It's my third wearing this spring and summer and it still amazes me how good this smells. It's an absolute must if you enjoy fresh green fragrances. Note: Jaguar Performance is nothing like Esencia pour Homme by Loewe. That one is a strong gorgeous piney frsgrance ideal for cold winter days. JP is a green freshie perfect for the gym, sports and spring/summer mornings.

Incredible scent, really WOW. If I had smelt this before knowing it is a Jaguar, I would have assumed it is done by Versace or Guerlain. First time I LOVE floral notes in Men fragrances. From the first spray, I feel/think of morning dew, green grass, sea breeze. It is a light fresh green floral fragrance which is perfectly blended. Re-buying is a must. Longevity 5+ hours, moderate projection. Spring/Summer scent. Highly recommended.

Man what the hell! I have spent a few hundred bucks on different types of colognes and this one right here almost made me pass out. It’s so good man and so cheap I can stop smelling it. I received this by mail yesterday and I took it with me to work and would sniff the sprayer thing every chance I got. The crazy part it’s like dirt cheap last long smells good as hell try it I do hope you enjoy it as much as I did

The best fresh green masculine scent I've ever had. It has a very natural smell of green plants. Isn't unisex, but is almost unisex. Its elegance and sophistication makes it close to the style of masculine bvlgari scents (different smell, similar style). Fresh, elegant, original, with moderate sillage and longevity. All the other scents I tried from Jaguar were warm, this was the only one fresh.

This might be better described as a "green spicy" instead of a woody spicy. The cypress, sage, and nutmeg lend the spice while the violet leaf and the basil combine to not only give a dose of green scent but also accentuate the greenness in the cypress. It is a touch soapy, but none-the-less a very pleasant fragrance worth purchasing or at least trying, especially if you like green fragrances.

For a scent that uses violet leaf and mint as prominent notes, this thing has very good longevity. I usually get about 2 hours of good projection using this out of a five hour scent life. This is one of my summer favorites AND it is very inexpensive. Not to mention, you don't smell this on anyone else, so its still unique. Winning.

I freaking LOVE this stuff!! For $18.00 with shipping is a ridiculous value. I get a very floral vibe rather than herbal with this juice. I will be rebuying this as long as its for sale. Top 20 in my collection. My dad almost stole this from me when he first smelled this. I bought him a bottle for Fathers Day. Rating: 9.0/10

This is my 2nd bottle, nice herbal summer scent that just put me in a good mood, fresh like Irish Spring soap bar, I will be wearing it more as I'm starting my summer travel & this will not offend anyone on a plane or public transportation, lasts for a good 7 hours, worth a lot more than I paid, I love it.

I own about 4 or 5 bottles of Jaguar frags and this one is my favorite by a mile. Quite surprised that a scent like this has a car brand attached to it. Very impressed by the quality and blend used here. Aromatic, fresh and very masculine. For the 30+ crowd this is a no-brainer.

Being discontinued the price went from $16 (2019) to $80 today. Do NOT pay that unless you are a collector! It's very generic and frankly, boring. Further, you can easily get similar fragrances for much less such as an Adidas or other fresh/sporty herbal based scents.

This is one of my top blind buys ever. Very unique smelling, fresh spicy kind of scent, perfect for warm weather as well as autumn. Performs well with good longevity (5-6 hours) and decent projection. Can be dressed up too. Absolute hidden gem. Love it.

Clean, light, green, herbal, soapy and fresh. The violet and mint working well together. The bottle is well made and is quality. Performance projects really well with a lovely soapy silage. This is a great fragrance and a lovely summer scent.

Lovely summer fragrance...excellent sillage and longevity...not particularly unique..I agree with Minister smellgood, this cologne is neither woody nor spicy..it is herabal cetrissy. Very good value for money too.

update: when the drydown is in full effect (about 3 hours after application), the birch really comes out and it turns into a very smoky-woody scent.

After the sweep perfumes of aquatic and marine and citrus for the field of fresh summer fragrances, this fragrance unknown exists with green smell ,herbal, cool ,and refreshing and safe , clean. At the beginning of spray the perfume I smell sharp green herbal note due to cypress, mint and basil . minutes after the smell calms down and it continue to the end of the life fragrance . In heart stage there are violet leaf and sage notes. As for the base, there are supporting notes, but they do not stand out alone. So it is a green perfume with a touch of wood, a nice unique perfume, unlike any other perfume. The fragrance gives the feeling of walking in the middle of a green forest in the springtime in the morning.Or it may remind you of the smell of one the types of soap . Therefore, choosing the cartoon color, as well as the color of the liquid inside the perfume bottle, is correct . The fragrance is decent longevity on the skin (5-6) hours, and it sillage and projection less than two hours. So choosing the name (performance) is not appropriate for the nature of the fragrance, it was better to choose a name like (green) (cool) (fresh) .. And I think they chose the name according to the name of the car they produce . This masculine fragrance is suitable for ages over 25 years, for summer and spring with casual clothes, for shopping, excursion, sports and gym, and it can be made a signature scent. my batch 2017 .

Jaguar Performance surprisingly gets high marks in terms of originality. My son wears it and I can definitely say that I don't own anything that smells close to it. And that's saying a lot considering how warmer weather scents and uniqueness don't typically go hand and hand. JP is a modern mature fragrance; a soapy and spicy spruce with a bit of a rubbery and synthertic feel that was more than likely purposely derived in the vain of new carish with an herbal backbone. A sophisticated synthetic at a bargin basement price. Packaging, strength, sillage and overall presentation is no worse than anything you can purchase at Macy's. Be forewarned if blind buying though. Guys under 25 may not appreciate this one. That said, Guys over 35 will probably love this scent. It's a great "tip of the hat" to old school fragrances while still feeling relevant and up to date. I could see fragrance fatigue setting in pretty quick with this one. If broken up between wears, however, Jaguar Performance would do well for you. Better suited for Spring as opposed to the dog days of Summer in my opinion.

Clean, tangy, watery-citrus fresh-clean. Sought this out given its reputation for resembling Irish Spring and, in that regard, it definitely delivers. Evocative of an accomplished, twenties-to-forties, well-groomed white collar professional headed out on business in a European sports car, driving gloves and all. (Ironic given its manufacturer...) Lovely on its own, and definitely nets compliments shortly after application. Unfortunately doesn't last but about half the work day, requiring reapplication and seemingly losing its freshness burst upon Round Two. (As others have noted, doesn't live up to the name "Performance.") Side note: not out of reach given its economical price tag, but this works really wonderfully as a bed freshener for (most likely for a single male). Seemed to last better on fabric than on skin. The few hours of Irish Spring relativity though do make it overall worthwhile given its affordability. ★★★ out of ★★★★

I got a 100mL bottle of this for $10 at Kmart as they are clearing stock after Christmas. The bottle is really attractive and the sprayer dispenses a huge volume of fragrance - to the degree that one good spray has the stuff all but dripping off you. The fragrance itself has promise when first applied: there is a sharp herby/spiciness which is accompanied by what appears to be mint (there is a similarity with Paco Rabanne XS for men, but without the strong citrus). Unfortuntely the sharpness passes quickly and the fragrance then becomes fairly insubstantial. I can't help but feeling that this one is missing a note or two: it needs something to give it more of a zing. On the whole it is okay and wearable for summer (it was nearly 42 degrees C here today), but you might need to carry the bottle round and repeat apply throughout the day as this has very limited longevity and sillage.

I was fortunate enough to find the vintage formula (Made In Germany) for a good price on Ebay. If you've been sitting on the fence with this one, get off now. Originals are rapidly disappearing. You want to look for the large embossed jaguar on the front of the box. Also, of course, look for "Made In Germany" on the back. Men over 35 will appreciate this offering the most. It's new school meeting old school. A soapy, pepper bomb with a synthetic rubbery feel on an opening of light fir and citrus. There's nothing you own that will smell like this. It gets high marks for originality. In the warmer months, when your friends "zig" with Aqua Di Geo, "zag" with this sleeper gem instead. You'll stand out from the crowd for sure.

This strikes me as a modern interpretation of the so-called "barbershop" fragrance. It opens somewhat harshly but settles down into a soapy green aroma that is both distinct and very masculine. I agree with the users who say it's a unique fragrance; it probably won't knock your socks off but it's closer to, say Paco Rabanne or Loewe Esencia than anything currently in the mainstream market. It also used to be one of the best value-for-price fragrances out there, but prices have been rising as of late and the usual discounters seem to have run dry. That's a real shame.

Blind buy as it was super cheap. Looking forward to giving it a decent try out in the summer as this is a really nice fresh fragrance. Main things I can pick out are the orange, Mint and gentle spices. Overall impression is a nice clean soapy fresh fragrance. Hard to comment on longevity as I've only had it on for an hour or so, but still going strong. As for projection, I've no idea. I find this tough to measure. Nice heavy bottle. Very nice (solid 7.5 out of 10)

Nice shower gel scent. I agree with richmilton below about this being a great fragrance for use after the gym or if you are an active, athletic person. It’s green, fresh, a little spicy with a presence of pine/fir tree throughout. If you enjoy that fresh, out of the shower scent and want it to last for hours, this is a perfect choice. The price this goes for is simply astonishing. One of the best values out there!

I would have called this Jaguar Fresh rather Jaguar Performance. It is indeed very fresh and clean, the type of fragrance that you can wear without worrying it might be too loud or showy. Green, spicy, nice,

Big disappointment. Feels like a strong floral feminine scent, it can be nauseating. My wife thought for a moment i was wearing a generic cheap strong jasmine type EDT.

It's as if this is a pleasant fragrance ruined by some strange berry scent. I keep smelling some sort of berries that kind of makes me nauseous. Not impressed.

This is a case where the reviews on basenotes are really bad (in general), whereas the Fragrantica ones are much more accurate. Perhaps the BN crowd was expecting niche quality here? Seriously, this is a very good fragrance. In fact, this is what I thought One Man Show Golden Edition would smell like, that is, a "modern" version of the original (with most if not all of the castoreum removed, in particular). This is like a men's "80s power fragrance" with some tweaking. There does seem to be patchouli in here, but it's not too heavy and there is little if any lavender. In any case, this is a little musky, and there's hardly any sweetness, but what surprised me is that it smelled natural and is fairly complex. Adidas' Sport Field is a similar idea, though that went in a fougere direction, but the formulation I got was too "synthetic" smelling. This is truly a great fragrance for the money, if this is what you want (a bit too mature for the youngsters, I'd guess). UPDATE: I've become very sensitive to an aroma chemical in this one, and I have noticed it in quite a few other scents. I think it's meant to be a musk, or perhaps it's a combination of that aroma chemical with "woody" notes and/or patchouli (which might be what it meant by woody notes). This is so tenacious I can smell it the next day, so I haven't been able to wear this one lately. Kouros has a similar element in it, but it never has the overwhelming quality as I find in Performance and some others, so i'm guess it is a synthetic that is being used to replicate this element or accord.

The perfume that I like cats gets the 'ace! Very, very nice even bottle-style knob with an engraved head of Jaguar captivating looks and robustness cruet.Self perfume is definitely a' green with very little deviation and as such gives extremely fresh with style vetiver yet here the shots with the big help of moss, while from time to time intervene, musk and tonka and I'm a little perfume extracted from fresh wood (not pine), and give it a gourmet flavor, paprika gives it a mild anger gives you even more the direction of a gourmand who is still inferior to the 'green forests, which aided coriander refers preponderance.Merit perfume is great projection and if I do say diedoff the sense of smell, then it gets more on this 'catcht weight.Frankly, I do not like perfume , type of vegetation, wooden, but I like this, well maybe a little subjective, but perfume is really not bad, very relaxing, with a nice gentle pleasing aura, a real hit!

I really enjoy this, even though on me the performance is underwhelming. Basically smells like the top notes listed above for a couple of hours, and it’s gone. Still, there’s a time and place for every frag. And as a hot summer afternoon refresher this can’t be beat. No sweetness here. Just the greenest of green. Very natural smelling. I wish someone would come up with a longer lasting version of ‘exactly this’.

Great bottle with superb build quality. Jaguar Performance is a spicy metallic bomb with a modern green aromatic edge. The scent is sharp and spicy, so consider yourself warmed; do not overspray this thing. The sharpness is gonna get ya. It is unique, full throttle, and quite nice for how much it costs. Great for an older crowd or anyone who cares for a spicy sharp scent that can awake your senses.

Pleasant and herbal. This fragrance doesn't have that synthetic note that attacks your nose like Perry Ellis and Diesel fragrances. I own the Intense (discontinued), so I can't speak of projection or sillage. A great 15-20 dollar fragrance that just is easygoing. This is not sporty, nor super fresh. It's just a pleasantly herbal fragrance that you will like.⭐⭐⭐⭐

I’m trying to use up the bottle so I can replace it with something else in cologne cabinet. I’m literally running out of room. It’s very generic and doesn’t scream performance. It reminds me of shower gel. It’s not bad, in fact it’s a safe scent. I get about 4 hours and then it’s gone, not even a skin scent after that. Shame. 3/10.

Good choice,with a stable perfume with a spring and in summer! The elegant glass is in a harmony with the juice in him ... A manly soapy artefact is fresh green one at the same time. His charismatic character maturer one does ... Price - value proportion excellent!!! Safe perfume and Jaguar quality!

Smells cheap to me. Has a juniper / gin / medicinal vibe about it. I am not insulting this due to it's price, My favorite cologne of all time is Jaguar for Men. I got this thinking it would be somewhat similar, but its not. Try before you buy. Sprayer is awful too. More like a squirter..

i try on me lot's of "green" fragrance that i like alot. this is one of the best "green" enjoyable, gentle summer fragrance. woody, fresh, grass smell. longevity on me, about 9-10 hours. LOVE IT very match!!! TRY IT!!!

They should call this jaguar under performance. This literally last 2 hours and after that you don't even get a skin send you get nothing!
