Jasper Conran Nightshade Man

There are surprises and then there are pleasantly shocking revelations. Nightshade Man, based on its price (this was a steal at 28 euros) and performance reveals something of great quality and performance. Sometimes fragrances of this price are grilled for having muddled notes and sub par performance, but here we get something great that breaks the stereotypes of cheaper frags. Now with all this being said, Nightshade Man is not a unique scent, this resembles Fan di Fendi pour Homme pretty closely. This is not a bad thing, because Fan di Fendi is a great scent! Citrus, cardamom, cloves, a strong patchouli and a solid musky, amber base gives Nightshade its character. Even if this character is borrowed from an already fantastic model in Fan di Fendi (a fragrance I own and adore as well, they are similar but with a discerning nose you can tell the differences). Another reason this fragrance stands out is a perfectly rendered musk in the base. Nightshade Man is fall evenings in a bottle. A good amount of sprays and this juice performs like a champ for a solid six to eight hours. Nightshade Man is office safe and perfect for the twenty-five and up crowd. When the temperature is dropping as fast as the leaves, it is time to give a few good sprays of Nightshade Man before you hit the streets.

Well, this has surprised me, I didn't think it would be this nice. This is delicious. It's very like Fan di Fendi Homme. It starts sweet and fruity with some amber and a hint of booze. Dries down a touch smoky and mellow with a tobacco vibe in the silage. Nightshade Man smells gorgeous and the longevity is moderate with a fairly decent silage. I'm really glad I bought this and it's good value too. Jasper Conran has brought out a little gem here and it smells a lot more expensive than what it costs. I've bought some more - very pleasant EDT.

Top notes are so fresh,prob the grapefruit & bergamot. The saffron notes give a honey like aroma,sweet but very masculine. Dry down is just amazing,loads of patchouli & musk. A very sexual fragrance! Very long lasting. I do like matching body products,so far there is just a shower gel (which will prob be included in Xmas coffrets). For the price,this is a unique & alluring fragrance,I have all the other Jasper Conran fragrances & this one is the best so far. Def worth seeking out.

For the price of less than 30usd/100ml this is a steal. I have the hyped Fendi di Fendi and this one in my humble opinion is better. Good performance with strong projection for 1-2hrs. Perfect colder weather scent.

A lovely smoky amber. This is how to make a winter fragrance without the sweetness and dreaded vanilla. I hope they make it forever, but it will probably end up as a discontinued classic.

I gave this a go, very impressive, I liked the original Jasper fragrance, this one is much sexier, so much more suitable for a night out, ok longevity, great bottle. Thumbs up from me.

This is a pleasant fragrance. Nightshade for me another warm, woody and at first I thought a bit forgettable about but somehow it's classier than efforts from Calvin Klein & the like. I can smell a bit of soapy spice from cardamom and even at a push some saffron? The opening is fairly generic and fresh with a little citrus and true throughout the course, I get musk/vanilla and soft Amber. Performance is very good, not huge sillage but longevity was more than excepable. I could wear this and definitely worth checking out.

Nice scent. The opening reminds me of opus penhaligons. I have never had Gucci pour homme 2 so can’t compare but it’s opus minus the freshness. It’s very very unique and has boozy dry down. A more mature smooth version of opus. Overall a decent scent. Longevity is moderate (3-4 hours) but again like many scents lasts slightly longer on clothes. It’s a cold weather scent perfect for winter/fall , perhaps spring summer night. Scent :7/10 Uniqueness:8/10 Longevity: 6/10 OverAll :7/10

As a woman I absolutely love this on a guy, I was really shocked initially because I've tried alot of different mens fragrances as I have a son so I get samples now and again so he can try them out or if I'm looking for one for him for xmas and of course I've also smelt alot of fragrances on men also and I'll be honest there are very few that I really love on guys and for the price of this i really didnt expect much but it's a definate winner with me. The only mens fragrances that I find sexy are million, savauge and back in the day..joop, I also like softer fragrances on men too that arent nessecarily sexy but are comforting, for example I think Armani lei/she would smell amazing on a guy, great for women too bit it's very unisex and just comforting and pleasant, so I dont really like many, alot of mens fragrances really do tend to smell just blah and they dont do anything for me but this is absolutely gorgeous, it blew me away.I really find this one extremely sexy, if I smelt this on a guy it would definately do it for me. This is up their for me with the others that I mentioned so if you are looking for something the ladies will like too this is definately one to try. Still cant believe how gorgeous this is for the price, its seriously sexy but it's also got a soft vibe on the dry down. Gorgeous 💗

Impressive. Good longevity and projection. To me is very similar to Gucci Homme II. Actually I have been complaining how Gucci II is a bit weak, but this one is like Gucci II on steroids. Absolutely love it, but I wouldn't do more than 4 sprays. I'm surprised how Myrrh is not in the notes because that's the note I get the most.

I'm glad I got a sample rather than buying a bottle - I was disappointed by this one after reading all the hype for it. I can't really knock it other than its just not too my personal taste; it smells to much like an unexciting "standard men's sweet, evening cologne" to me.

Another so called undiscovered gem. Here in Europe it’s hard to find and sample. So I shall skip it. Jasper conrans father was a legend. I don’t know about his son Jasper, who also does not continue the bloodline unlike his brothers and sisters.

Almost identical to S.T. Signature for men, which has been discontinued. Spicy-sweet with lots of amber and somehow manages to smell like incense stick I had.

Beautiful musky spicy cologne with an energetic start which is very musky, sensual and mysterious...one for the spicy and musky lovers...
