Oud Velvet

For as cheap as this one is, this one is actually very nice. This is a masculine but at the same time a cozy and warm smell. It says unisex but honestly, I really couldn't picture a woman wearing this as there is not much that's feminine in it (at least not to me). I honestly would not find this attractive on a woman. I'm a guy btw (if you haven't already picked up on that). So ladies, I probably wouldn't advise wearing this, unless you like smelling woody, smoky and spicy and just doing it cause you like it, then more power to ya I guess. This Is a very woody (probably the most woody I've smelled) slightly smoky and warm spicy fragrance. In a funny way it kinda reminds me of smelling the inside of a wooden drawer that had spices including clove and cinnamon kept in it, but the spices are not too heavy and the vanilla just sweetens it just enough to balance it out perfectly so its not bitter, or too spicy, but its not too sweet either. Its well made and balanced, but it is more wood heavy and a little smoky with a little sweetness and spice just humbly and quietly standing right behind it. Even though there's no list of these notes but it almost smells like theres a little cinnamon and clove in it (but just barely). It may be from the light mix of vanilla and incense. Its actually nice. This would be an absolutely perfect scent for fall and winter wear. I suppose early spring would be ok, but this definitely has a seasonal and almost holiday kind of smell, like pumpkin spice (but it doesn't smell like that, just an example). Perfect for Christmas or Thanksgiving parties and get togethers, date nights and I suppose even during the day should be fine around those seasons. You'll understand and get it when you smell it. Its a very rich (but not overly), classy, holiday-smelling, man's scent. Definitely a very nice fragrance and good blind buy.

I got 4 of these from the line because they were 16€ a piece and after quickly looking up who the owner of the brand was ad well as the noses, so I figured I was in good hands. Our Velvet is exactly as the name says it has non aggro velvety rose with a very oud and incense that is smoothed out by a light and creamy vanilla or caramel and to keep it from being too dark, saffron and a bit of cumin. It is an absolutely stunning frag for 16€ . You could easily get away with wearing this year round as it isn't a aggressive rose nor sweet/syrupy scent, I would almost call it a dry scent whatever that means lol

How is no one talking about this? It’s as close as you can get to LV’s Ombre Nomade, for under 20€. Seriously, this was hidden at a local retailer here in Portugal under the cheap section, and it can trade punches with the big designer brands all day. The trade of the raspberry for the vanilla is barely noticeable. Maybe this wasn’t meant to be an Ombre Nomade dupe, but it sure feels like it is. Amazing price, even better fragrance. Totally worth it.

Honestly for a really cheap fragrance its really good, the presentation is not wow, but the juice is pretty solid, having smelled Oud Ispahan by Dior the juice is 90% similar just the quality isn’t as good as Dior but who cares. Got it for dirt cheap and honestly it lasts 6-8h depending on how many sprays and projects good in the first 2h. Velvety rose with oud and spices and incense honestly it’s good

Ok, so I’m the first to review this. I don’t know why these are so slept on, but I literally found the full collection (“The Auras”) at Perfumes & Companhia (a Portuguese fragrance/cosmetics store) for 18€ each. First thing I noticed was that this brand is owned by COTY (which owns Gucci, Miu Miu, Boss and so many other big fragrance brands), and then after a quick check, I found out the noses behind these perfumes were big names like Jordi Fernandez, Pierre-Constantin Guéros, Alienor Massenet and others. “Oud Velvet” was created by Jordi Fernandez and even though it’s not a super new perfume DNA, it’s a great oud and rose fragrance for those who love it! For 18€ it’s a steal. I’m getting “Sweet Dates” next! If COTY sends this to some influencers to promote, I can see the prices going way up! If you find these in your local store, give them a try!

This + Dior homme intense (1:1 ratio) and u get somthing very similar to Dior homme Parfum (the old 2014/2020 formula) not exactly the same but very similar.. maybe if the leather was stronger and rose was toned down. I love it on its own but as a long time fan of DHP I’m so happy I found this one.

The only plus is that it smells of authentic, heavy wood, incense, and leather, with the closest association being cheban wood. It lasts a long time; I sprayed it on my wrist once and felt that desert wanderer's aura until the evening. Not a trace of sweetness, heavy, but lovely in its own way, although I certainly won't be wearing it in the near future due to the lack of sweetness and the heavy notes.

Gave this perfume a try in a store. Never touching it again. I'm sure someone out there adores this smell, because it was alright on paper, but when i tried it on skin it just smelled rancid. Try for yourself if you get the opportunity though because it might just be my skin since i had the same experience with Afnan's 9PM elixir. Both smelled like the sweaty armpits of a man who hasn't showered in several days, complete with a metallic fecal tone as well, but 9PM elixir at least had the courtesy to change into a somewhat airy wood smell after a good half hour of suffering. This, however, stood firmly in the filthy armpit realm.
