Classique Cabaret Eau de Parfum

I blind bought this at the beginning of winter after reading all the reviews and craving a marshmallow scent. When I first tried it I thought I'd made an expensive mistake because the orange blossom was sharp, cold and almost bitter to me. But after testing it for a while I realised this absolutely shines in warmer weather. I live in southern Africa and summer can be very hot. Heat amplifies the sweet, soft, pillowy marshmallow. The neroli never disappears but settles and keeps the sweet notes from becoming cloying. I find myself reaching for this instead of my typical summer freshies. I got a compliment from a friend while wearing this too. Performance is good, I'm an over sprayer and 8-10 sprays lasts all day on skin and longer on clothes. I must say I'm nearly half way through my bottle and will be sad when it's finished because I don't know if I'll be able to find it again. For reference: Age: 35 Skin type: oily Climate: warm/hot and dry Update: This continues to be my summer favourite as it's so well balanced and I keep getting compliments on it. Whilst I love the red glitter bottle, to me this smells "pink". It reminds me of those little pink hard powdery sweets (pinkie sweets?) from my childhood.

Amazing winter warm scent. I actually feel orange blossom is the top note, after 10 minutes, the ginger starts to caresse in and take over. Very exquisite ginger note with a base of vanilla sweetness. Super unique and beautiful blend. Only saw 2 bottles of it in the Sephora next to my home in Barcelona. As it is limited edition I immediately bought it. Powerful lastingless. The juice reminds me of Fragonard Heliotrope Gingembre which I love so much. No too much related to the classique originales, except for the base note where you may find a bit of reconotation to the original. The body part is blissfully covered by the warm ginger, which provokes happiness and chicness in the old air under winter sunlight.

This perfume is absolutely gorgeous. On initial spray, you get hit with a strong and slightly bitter ginger and orange blossom. The ginger is so zesty and realistic smelling, love it, After about 5-10minutes, this fades and the fluffy , almost powdery marshmallow and vanilla base makes an appearance with the not-too-strong orange blossom. The orange blossom here smells so elegant and beautiful. I can’t stop sniffing my hand. This smells heavenly and of such good quality. Also, this isn’t that sweet, it’s perfectly balanced and could easily be worn during spring/summer as well. In fact, I think this would perform better in the heat. Not a fan of the glittery feel of the outfit on the bottle though.

When first sprayed it smells like citronella and orange blossom. As it dries down the sharpness fades and you get more marshmallow and vanilla. The orange blossom in this is the type of smell of orange blossom water. I actually think this smells best in spring and summer. It’s not cloying. Pretty much identical to Pin Up just slightly different. It’s hard for me to pick up on the differences when smelling them side by side because after the first sniff of each of them they just turn into the same smell. So you don’t need both of them if you have one or the other unless you just want to collect the bottles.

I LOVE this one. It is extremely similar to the Pin Up flanker of Classique, but this is stronger, richer, and lasts longer. I'd say this is "Pin Up Intense." Pin up is a GORGEOUS scent I love, but it fades fast. I like Cabaret more for that reason. Basically it's a marshmallow scent with fruity orange notes, so it smells like those rainbow mini marshmallows. Vanilla dominant, with a dash of orange flower, and a touch of spice that reminds me of original Classique DNA. Recommended for fans of the marshmallow scents (LDBS, Oriana, etc.)

So much like lovely Oriana, which I also have a full bottle of, but with some spice from the ginger note, which makes it less candy-like and really brings out the orange blossom. Same perfumer as Oriana. I really enjoy Fabrice Pellegrin’s perfumes. This is so special. Very very glad to have it and in my relatively large collection I will wear it often. I really enjoy the glittery red bottle too. Only thing is, why does this seem to be exactly the same as Classique Pin Up? Confused.

The only perfume I ever bought in a fancy perfume store. I smelled it and was in love, and it happened to be that the 100ml bottle was sold for 79Euro that day. To me, this is the perfect scent to wear to a classical concert, or some other fancy event. Since I never really do fancy things, I never feel quite comfortable wearing it in public, but every now and then I'll just smell it at home and be happy I got this.

It's exquisite. I think the orange blossom of this parfum is closer to Classique Essence than to the EDT or the EDP. I find it quite summery; I don't think it's suffocating or insanely sweet. At first, it evokes the smell of various baby colonies, but in the best sense; the drydown reminds me of La Belle.

I have the unfortunate habit of losing all or most joy I derive from perfumes I've smelled too many times. This one might be the only case where that never happened.

This perfume is an ode to the feminine mystique. It is sensuality in a bottle. Explosive, dangerous and addictive. I get many compliments on this perfume.

I've grown up in Shiraz. A city in mid-south Iran which is famous for it's poets who influenced many many eastern and western writers. And it's fragrant streets during the month of May where several streets smell entirely of blossoms and flowers, due to them being completely surrounded by many gardens. Orange blossom is a big part of the Shirazi culture. We've written poems about it, we use it in our cuisine, sweets, and drinks. People from all over Iran come to Shiraz to try our orange blossom tea. Even though I've been living in Canada for the past 5 years, my big bag of dried orange blossom has stayed in my pantry because I just can't go without it's aroma. There are many lovely orange blossom perfumes out there, and I love each and every one of them. But there's something about an actual dried orange blossom that none of the fragrances I've smelled have managed to capture: it's darkness Real orange blossom has such an intense smell that it brings out a natural sweetness and an earthy green texture from it in addition to it's floral scent. Classic Cabaret EDP is the first fragrance that captured all three sides of orange blossom: the bright floral, the dark sweetness, and the earthy greenness. Hats off to JPG for this creation.

I first sprayed Cabaret on a blotter when it came out a couple of years ago and thought it was sexy as hell, but I wasn't willing to pay full price. Recently, I ran into a bottle for half price, so I "blind bought" it just based on my memory of the scent. Now that I have it, I must say Cabaret is impossibly sweet and powerful, but in a charming way. It's the only perfume I have where half a spray in my tummy projects like crazy for more than 12h. It stays on my clothes for days too. The scent itself is very syrupy, opening with candied ginger and then moving to sweet orange blossom, where it stays for hours and hours and hours and even more hours. I could smell a bit of the marshmallow note after a couple of hours, but it's not that prominent, and neither is the ambergris, which I think balances the sweetness of Cabaret nicely. For instance, the Pin-Up edition, which s almost identical but has amber instead of ambergris, was too sweet for my nose. I see Cabaret as a sexy cold-weather perfume that can be used even during the day if applied very sparingly. 8/10

I bought this perfume after blind buying classique edt which I’m in love with. Just sprayed my initial spray. It was really sharp initially and I thought i wasted my money. 5 mins later it started smelling really similar to amalfi sunray by jo malone x zara. I came here to check the notes and voila! The citron and orange blossom is really really similar to amalfi sunray. Now it smells a little more earthy, I’m assuming that’s coming from the ginger. The ginger is not as strong as classique edt which I appreciate because it can be headache inducing. This perfume is quite sweet to the point where anyone can tell that it’s sweet but not to the plint where you will get headache or repulsiveness. It’s just obvious. I would say this scent is quite mature, sexy, classy. I sprayed it on my upper arm and the scent mixed with my sweat, and tbh it smelled hella sexy almost in a dirty way lol.

This is such a confusing scent. The initial spray is spicy. I’m assuming that’s from the finger but the spicy ness of perfume shines through at initial spritz and for the first part of the dry down. As it dries down though, suddenly the vanilla makes its presence known with a bit of white floral. I’m not very familiar with ambergris in perfumes but the few times it’s been in a perfume I’ve usually hated the scent so I’m surprised that this isn’t the case here. Like with any JPG scent, the sillage and longevity are beastly and I find myself still smelling this days later lingering on my clothes or pillows. It’s a notably sweet, somewhat cloying, and nearly headache-inducing scent but the notes they add make it so that it’s not overbearing. I will say that I wish the initial spicy ness of the scent lasted a little longer because after 30 minutes to an hour, it’s no longer there

We're heading towards autumn and winter (at least here in the northern hemisphere) and therefore I'm finding interest again in the spicier end of the fragrance spectrum. The bold and bright bottle caught my attention when browsing through newcomers in the nearby department store. And I didn't have to get disappointed, Cabaret turned out to be a very elegant, sophisticated and warm scent. Absolutely perfect for the cold winter days when you need something to cheer you up, methinks. It's a simple concoction with only a few notes, but a very clever and beautiful one with many layers in it. Vanilla blends nicely with cheerful orange blossom which gives it softness and floral vibes. This can be worn day and night but not necessarily to the office since it's quite powerful. Literally a knock out perfume if you happen to overdose it. A little goes a long way, folks.

Hi!!, I saw it yesterday in shop, is really spectacular!!, completely different (being in the line of Classique), I was thinking more of the X edition, bit of it, because has the same orange blossom, fresh - innocent and bright but in Cabaret edition is added with a warm bit spicy vanilla which gives a very alluring and bolder feeling. Has a really good lasting power, is an eau de parfum it all it’s words. Bottle and tin are soo pretty!, is a clever limited edition, offering a novel vision of Classique’s masterpiece!!. Bravo!!

Cabaret First smell in a card is very strong fresh ginger. I didn’t warm to this one for a good hour. I compared it to another frag with ginger which was far less obvious. Now on the card after a good our or more I am liking it. THIS NEEDS A SKIN TEST THOUGH, I wouldn’t blind buy it. Fresh ginger, has rounded off, it’s almost got classic use DNA without the soapy clean vibe, clean with a powdery ginger edge. This has a creamyness and a slight sweetness now, nowhere near candyland which is great. This changes as it wears

The opening made me instantly regret blind buying this. It was sharp, strong, and almost vintage smelling. I was about to rub it off when I remembered in reviews that it’s best to let this one sit on the skin a few minutes. After 10-15min my initial thoughts completely changed. On my skin I got the yummy marshmallow with orange blossom and vanilla. I couldn’t stop sniffing my arm. It does have a resemblance to LDBS with the sweet powdery dry down. I’m excited to actually wear this one out.

Loving that version ! Creamy fresh orange blossom, with a hint of vanilla in the background..lovely ! It is a good spring perfume, and I think a really well done version of Classique...I like orange blossom, and it is not too much, just enough...i like that the ginger is pretty neutral too..of all the Classique I own, I must say I much prefer that one, with nice longevity...it doesn't have that musty undertone the original tends to have on me...lovely bottle, pretty scent, happy to own it.

Heavenly! A sensual, strong and feminine spicy floral. Maybe my favorite from this line! It is in the same vein as Twilly from Hermes, but this one is more mature. A perfume for a confident and elegant woman, with a warm personality. This is spicy done right. Modern and versatile. Strongest notes are Ginger and Orange Blossom, in this order. P.s: the bottle is really pretty in live. Final note: 9/10
