Classique X L'Eau

This is a lovely, fresh, feminine, orange blossomy new summer fragrance. Lasts a long time for a light eau de toilette, and isn't really any lighter than the original Classique X, this is just missing the cedar note and the opening is sharper (but fleeting). Otherwise this is softer and sweeter than the original, but not too sweet or powdery (after trying Love Chloe I don't think I'll ever describe another scent as being powdery, that one was like drowning in a vat of old fashioned face powder by the drydown). The iris (orris root) is not very pronounced in this (not like in Prada Infusion d'Iris, although quick in that one but it is there) but it tempers the vanilla so that this doesn't get too sweet. All in all quite linear, no surprises in the stages and that's what I like about it. A true skin scent in that it stays close and is your skin but better!

Absolutely love this one! Its classy, feminine and a bit sexy. Not as strong as the original (thank god). I love the mix of white flower and Orris root that gives it a bit powdery feeling. Rather skinclose and very teasing, makes me inhale a lot and sniff my wrist. Good to wear year around. Kärlek! klassisk, feminin och lite sexig. Inte så kraftig som originalet (tack gode god). Älskar mixen av vita blommor och Orrisroten med sin lite pudriga framtoning. Relativt hudnära men otroligt retsam, får mig att ta djupa andetag genom näsan när jag sniffar på handleden.

It's a YES for me! This is truly a lovely, bright and fresh, feminine fragrance. The peony is present, it - along with the orange blossom adds a sweetness, but it's not too sweet. The bergamot adds a nice and light bright burst to the fragrance. The vanilla isn't too in your face, it gives just enough depth - but doesn't overtake the light texture of this. And likewise, the orris root is JUST enough powdery-ness to keep things soft and delicate, w/o turning this into a powder bomb...very beautiful fragrance! My first test run of this fragrance left me feeling like it didn't last the longest - BUT - my 2nd go round was much better. I can honestly say that at the 9+ hour mark, I could still smell the perfume. It wasn't a moderate projection at that point, but it was there.

This scent is gorgeous! I can oversrpay it literally and it don't become sticky. At the other side of the freshness it's sexy too. Good choise for Spring and Summer. Sadly it's limited edition, now that I found a Jean Paul Gaultier classique version that I like!! Longevity is good for a light EDT version, and sillage close to skin. But if you put some in your clothes and hair is great!

Smooth, youthful, great for day-to-day. Do not look anything like the original JPG Classique.

I love this perfume for a fresh and sexy everyday scent. The citrus and florals blend beautifully to give a lasting fresh and clean smell that I get complimented on every time I wear this perfume. This bottle adds something different from the rest of my collection; the scent also works well for occasion wear, though it is something that I reach for whenever I want to smell good and not overpowering. The bottle is also very appealing and looks great on display. Love this!

My top scent for summer, this is very fresh, yet very feminine, zesty. Bright, but rounded, nothing screechy about it!! Distinctive, Gaultier just gets women!! It has a certain sweetness, but in a fresh natural way, not in a candy way.. The orange blossom is one of the best in my opinion.. I agree X has more depth, but I like l' Eau for summer... Cavallier is a top nose!!

Lovely but very similar to Classique X EDP which I already own, l'Eau is lighter, more citrusy , fresh , great but really very similar. But I love Classique X so much, the Eau version adds a little twist to it, so it is happily in my collection!!!

This is WEIRD to me!!!! I don't know how to describe it. Sweet, but in a flowery way [no sugar to be found here]. Maybe a little citrus. Very soft, with low lasting power. Could see this as a bedtime perfume. Reminds me of fluffy clouds.

It's very citric. I smell a lot of white flower and citrus notes. Soapy and strong. On me it smells sharp. I think this could pass as a unisex, easily.

The next one will be : Classique X L'Eau Intense, or L'Eau Absolue Or best : L'Eau Florale !!

Man, this guy needs to win some sort of endless flankers award.
