22. february 2012 I have been wearing this one lately quite a lot since this is my top 5 favorite fragrance and especially for winter and i couldn ́t stop wondering how the name of the fragrance is chosen so rigt for this masterpiece of JPG. Just whem you expect it to be powdery and heady (something like Classique by JPG which i also like by the way) this one turns out to be indeed one of the most fragilest scents ever. And i spray it a lot onto myself and i don ́t suffocate at all. They say that if a person can ́t smell a scent while wearing it but all the others can, thenit suits him/her the best. This is my case with Fragile. While the combination of tuberose and rose might let you think that this is a headache indulging perfume it is actually not in any of this kind. Very light, yet very stable and very present it is alsways with you, but it also suurounds you and leaves a one of the most wonderful traces of them all. Vanilla is adding that extra point to Fragile, but again not making it heady or intoxicating. This is amazing how all those notes that usually weight down the fragrance are adding light and height to it here. A true masterpiece NOT TO BE COMPARED WITH THE EDT VERSION!!!! They are not the same!!! Just have a SLIGHT similarity, but waaaay too different. I don ́t find it in any way sharp or outdated, absolutly not! Too bad that EDp is getting hard to get and though i have 5 bottles backed up i guess i will use them quite quickly since i use it really a lot. By the way i just discovered that this is now my winter-time night club fragrance. Previously i used "Desnuda" by Ungaro as my going-out-all-year-round-fragrance but now i have another one escpecially for winter time. I have been wearing it lately several times to nightclub and was afraid at first that it might be too heavy, but surprisingly not!!! Keeps me fresh and nice scented all night long which is amazing and biggest bonus that it is completly different from all the others that wear floral-fruity fragrances to the night club. THIS WAS A REVIEW FOR Eau De Parfum VERSION ONLY! P.S. I read that some people compare it to J ́adore by Dior! What a NONSENCE!!! no no no! It is far more complex and rich and incredible than J ́adore! Please do not be fooled by this comparision. And don ́t think that EDT of Fragile is just slighlty lighter than the EDP, No! they are two quite different fragrances.

This wonderful perfume, in its unique bottle, felt like a gift made of golden glow when I first received it. It had just been released, and from the start it was something precious to me. I remember sitting by the window, shaking the tiny golden flakes that floated through the thick liquid, watching them drift around the little figurine inside. In my mind, she was a Hollywood diva from the 1930s, frozen mid-pose on the red carpet — timeless, glamorous, and utterly untouchable, captured in her world of light and luxury. When I wasn’t in the mood to wear it, I’d place it back on its shelf, where it seemed to whisper softly, “You know where to find me.” But on the nights when I was, I’d spray it onto my wrists and behind my ears, and it felt as though the little lady in the bottle came to life — lending me a touch of her charm, her confidence, her shimmer. On special evenings, perhaps even more than a touch. I associate this perfume with so many luminous moments — evenings of laughter, days filled with excitement, memories gilded with its scent. I never wanted the bottle to empty, so I wore it sparingly, and I’m glad to still have it with me. Fragile is a perfume that’s both bold and delicate — radiant and unmistakably present, yet tender at its heart. Heavy enough for everyone around you to notice, but graceful enough to never overstay its welcome. Simply put, it’s glorious

25. january 2011 First when it came out i didn ́t pay much attention to that scent and forgot about it until now! recently i tried it at my friends house and my first impression was: "disgusting!". Very spicy and powderly scent. Very harsh! But then after 15 minutes i couldn ́t stop sniffing my wrist again and again! It became incredibly sensual and elegant at the same time! This is definitly a winter time fragrance, also very good on a fur. What Dior ́s "Addict" couldn ́t give me, this one has it! This one is becoming my definite favorite winter time fragrnace, since i have now a lot of bottles stocked up. I am so in love with this fresh but frosty scent! It is somehow so floral but also very mature and captivating without being a simple floral fragrance. When i look at the composition notes i see a very complex fragrance that transforms after application and that is what i like! I feel like it has honey in it because it smelles so like honey in some way. It has an incredible staying power! The drydown is soooo fantastic! I was wondering what smelled so good on my furs lately and then realized it was Fragile! Oh, and of course the bottle is fantastic, though i find applying it more difficult and uncomfortable than with normal up side sprayer.

05. may 2012 I do apologize since this is not a real review, but i couldn ́t not to write it. The tragedy has happened!!! JPG fragrances officially confirmed that this unbelievable feminine and amazing fragrance is not available in retail anymore (i have sent them a request). I guess this means it has been now discontinued both in EDP and EDT. I CAN`T BELIEVE IT!!! This must be one of the most beautiful fragrances out there ever and one of the most unique bottles!!! I do hope that they will redecorate it in a more simple bottle and relaunch (maybe the bottle was too expensive to produce?), since i use it heavily and soooo in love with this beauty. I simply don ́t get it, why JPG discontinued it, they don ́t have many fragrances, so it makes no sense. This is outstanding and truly Gaultier. I don ́t care for EDT but i can ́t imagine my life without a bottle of EDP "Fragile" :( SAD.

I love the "snow globe" effect! I had this many years ago and i was fascinated by the bottle. The perfume had these gold grittery flakes in there that i would love to stir up... YaY! Ummm...yes i was young but i'd still have that reaction today HA HA HA...I'm such a "grown up" =p Now about the perfume itself...it's a bit Va va voom, but that is to be expected. It's not an over the top perfume but it sure stands out. Very elegant and a tad rebellious. Sweet but not too much, warm and flowery at the same time. Wish i had it again. The only problem is i probably wouldn't use it as much because as the perfume is used up the lady is no longer submerged and u cant play with it anymore... when its around her feet its depressing =( u feel like the party is over and u have to face reality again. I find this as a fresh take on a classic type of fragrance . I envision old-Hollywood glamour with this scent ... an elegant and vivacious lady wearing this fragrance for a romantic night out. I was surprised that I really, really like it -- I probably shouldn't be surprised since to put it simply, it smells wonderful! I just thought that the bottle is so gorgeous and I won't care if I like how it smells but I am also enjoying the juice inside. It's distinctly floral, I smell the different flowers instantly and some sweet notes in the background. It's quite a beautiful blend and it smells so luxurious. After a few minutes of spraying it on my skin, the scent that lingered is sweet and very feminine.

Finally I can review the EDP version which is far different from EDT. EDP is still an 'all about tuberose' fragrance but it is more spicy and woody than EDT. To my surprise, both editions (EDT and EDP) smell just as powerful and last long. EDP is more elegant and it is certainly not a casual fragrance. It will go great with a dark velvety dress, deep red lipstick and Manolo heels. Fragile is a wonderful fragrance for those of you wanting a special fragrance on a special night out. Mature, classy and not an overly popular fragrance, which is a big advantage. In the end which one of you wishes to smell like half of the crowd on a posh banquet night???

01. may 2011 Jellybeantree: "Fragile" was absent form the shops for a while, then it got back but, for example, the EDP version is now in different box (more simple), i don ́t know about the fragrance itself, i tried the tester in shop and it smells quite the same but i am not 100% sure. UPDATE! Ladies! I have an official answer from "Parfums Jean Paul Gaultier" stating that the formula of "Fragile" hasn ́t been changed, only packaging. So it must be as good as it was. And i also got confirmation from them that "Fragile" never existed in pure parfum concentration. So if anyone was interested, it ́s just good to know. Hope it helps.

I wore the heck out of this in my 20s. The globe design was unique and stunning. The scent was so me back then; spicy, delicious and captivating. I has almost forgotten about this perfume until I saw the picture and a warm fuzzy feeling welled up within me. Oh, those good old days of perfumes being perfumes that make a statement. I am not surprised to discover that this perfume was created by Francis K. It’s seems he is a perfumer that speaks my scent language and I vibe with a lot of the perfumes he has created long before I even knew who he really was. Great job FK. Miss you Fragile 💋.

I wore this a lot when it first came out and just resently I got my hand on a partially used bottle to se if I still would love it as much as I did when I was young. The juice has darkened a bit but the scent is still as i remember it. The opening is strong - a bit to strong for my taste - but the dry down is everything as beautifull as i recall. Elegant, sexy, classy. A perfect evening scent. Lots of tuberose with a spicy, creamy dry down that's a bit dark and smoky. I get both the ginger, cinnamon and vanilla. It's vintage and mature, but not dated at all.

Its glorious. The bottle is beautiful of course but the scent itself manages to capture all the fleshiness of tuberose but surrounding it by this beautiful, delicate cloud of orange blossom, jasmine, ylang, rose, carnation and other flowers with hints of spices (coriander and anise) to keep it bright and interesting. This is a truly beautiful perfume. I wish I had appreciated it more when it first came out but I had not grown into tuberose yet to fully appreciate it. Now this beauty has become difficult to find, dancing delicately in its gold flecked world..

Oh wow!!! This has the most beautiful dry down of any fragrance I've ever used. Simply gorgeous. I keep getting delicious wafts of it all day. I really didn't think I would like this because the opening was so strong and I'm not a tuberose fan, but within a half hour it changed and turned wonderful. I only have a mini of this but would like a bigger one. I could do without the cute bottle. I find it difficult to use. Anyone know if they ever sold the edp of this fragrance in a plain bottle? I would like to get a big bottle of this.

Oh I love this scent. My bottle of the EDP is many years old now, but still smells as rich and intoxicating as ever. It's one of those scents you need to apply conservatively. Well, I love tuberose so much that I even love scents that don't do a good enough job with tuberose. To me though, Fragile is freaking awesome. I wonder if they still refill the old snow globes? Yeah, it's kitschy. The scent is almost kitschy too though, like a Christmas tree covered in tinsel with a picture of Peggy Lee on top.

It was quite a surprise to me. I expected deep, dark rose, and instead I got bright, fresh, dewy and spicy rose. Very unique and unlike all rose perfumes I have. It could be definitely worn for a night out in warmer weather, beacuse it has great sillage but not heavy and oppressive. The bottle looks gorgeous to look at, but to use- is a real disaster. You have to aim and hope at the same time that the spary will sray and not squirt. Overall beautiful and very elegant perfume.

To me, this smells like a walk in the autumn; the scent of crunching through a sidewalk of orange and brown dried maple leaves. The opening smells like orange blossom and tuberose, but after that, just fall foliage with ginger. I love it. I don't think it smells anything like Classique, which is powdery makeup vanilla leather on me whenever I've worn it. But I don't own Classique so I'm curious to test it again to see the connection others smell.

I have a whole collection of this --- lucky me i guess i loved it so much and heard they were going to phase it out i bought a whole bunch from a fragrance store that was closing --- used up two or three bottles maybe have two or three left plus the oils --- not bragging but am glad i bought them coz it smelled so good -- it is my signature perfume --- love the snow globe too --- its time to open the next bottle --- sigh !

well i have this... it smells like tuberose..some don't like it because they find it strong.. i should say it comes off strong which to me is a positive feature of it and no it doesn't smell bad at all... it can be if you bathe in it but used sparingly creates a very good wisp of florals... a little goes a long way... it also seems to come off a bit like the classic tabu but in a more refined and clean scent

wow! I blind bought this on Ebay in a mini size just to have the gorgeous snow globe bottle on my vanity and to my delight this smells really good! A bit light & soapy but sweet, floral, mature, sexy, delightful. The only issue i have with this is not wanting to use it because you want to keep the little woman submerged in the bottle lol scent: 9 packaging: 10!

I have a little one and a big-ish one. Globes. Vintage style tuberose. If you like vintage scents and dark, sophisticated scents, reminiscent of aldehydic fragrances of earlier decades, you may like this. It brings a depth to tuberose. Yet again there are 'similar scents' listed which are nothing like this. Lady Million is light years away from this.

Being a bit of a bottle freak, I had to have this one. But the contents is sooo yummy, also slightly bitter! I love it! There is a minty note lingering at the end, it's probably the anise. It brings a certain freshness to the whole, and makes it also suitable for day use. However, using it is a dilemma since the bottle looks much better full...

This is the essence of me. I miss it so much. All other JPG fragrances are dull and average. Bloom by Gucci kinda reminds me of it, and that's why I got a bottle. I suppose because of the tuberose. Also, Radiant Tuberose by Jimmy Choo. But they don't take me on a magical and mysterious journey every time I smell them...

Gosh i miss this fragrance. Beautiful white floral, all about the Tuberose and Jasmine. Glammest bottle ever!! I wish i could go back a tell my teenager self (who owned this) what a gem they had and not to be so flippant with it's usage. Alas i just didn't appreciate her back then as much as i would now :(

JPG Fragile is a complex slightly spicy warm floral. Excellent bouquet with dominant tuberose, just the right amount of ginger and honey-like musk. Soft and strong at the same time. Exceedingly feminine, rich & very luxurious. Incredible & long lasting with a lovely powder finish.

old hollywood glamour; personified. starts off with a strong hairspray note, melding into ginger spiced tuberose; which is sharp not creamy. I get alot of woody notes out of this, although they aren't listed. It smells golden & rich, a bit bitchy & voluptuous.

The bottle alone already deserves an award! Plus it's filled with that amazing, delicious, gorgeous perfume. It's a treat by all means. Thank you, Jean-Paul. Fragile is what men might become smelling this sensuel scent on a woman.

It starts out sharp, but it shimmers down when it reaches the base note. The packaging is GORGEOUS. This perfume overall is is very classy and sophisticated, like the kind of perfume you'd wear to a black tie affair

Unfortunately it has been discontinued :( I'm really upset, this perfume was unique. No similar fragrance exists, it was sharp, sexy and adorable. I'm very very sad... :(

Why was this discontinued?? A classy spicy floral that was a proper perfume, none of this fruit bomb sugar nonsense we're so bored of today. BRING IT BACK!!!

last time i used this was in 2005, amazing fragrance, last's on you all day and muliple days on your clothes. Its the best perfume during my childhood.

It's the tuberose and orange that does it for me. Such a gorgeous scent and very sexy. It gets mixed reviews from people, but this one is a keeper.

I bought a secondhand bottle mostly for the novelty. I have gotten very into JPG frags suddenly and have always been a bit of a vintage collector, so when I found a partially used 1.7oz for under $100, I jumped on it. So many here talk about the bottle, I’ll skip right to the scent- I’m a huge tuberose fan and went on a real kick trying out different tuberose frags awhile ago. I hoped I’d like this scent, but I wasn’t expecting much. Well, despite testing a vintage bottle that seems to have lost a few top notes, this still manages to be a great scent that many people would love. I’m not getting much orange blossom, as that’s a note that often fades quicker than others in perfume, but I do believe I’m getting the rest of the notes in the order they’re voted here, with tuberose and jasmine taking the spotlight. Despite the many notes, this scent is pretty simple and beautiful, and many frag heads have probably come across a few smell-alikes. I will say this blend is very lovely. I like it more than most of the similar scents I’m going to list, and if it weren’t discontinued and were a bit more affordable, I’d keep it in my collection over most of these— I’d say this is very similar to Fracas. It’s slightly spicier, but definitely is in the same family. This tuberose in Fragile is soapy, and also reminds me of a nicer version of La Vie La Mort by Tokyo Milk or Bora Bora by Liz Claiborne. I’d say Fragile is actually closest to fracas, bora bora, and La vie La mort the most. People who like this scent but want something lighter and a bit more simplified might look into Gucci Bloom or one of the flankers-I think this reminds me most of a combination of the Ambrosia and Profumo Bloom flankers. This also slightly gives me the vibes of Le Labos Lys 41-only more cool and soapy with jasmine. Lys 41 is probably my favorite tuberose I’ve ever smelled and is the only one on this list I’d keep if I could replace the others with Fragile. It’s a modern beautiful work of art and most frags can’t achieve that much magic, but Fragile reminds me of it slightly. If you dislike these scents, Fragile may not be for you. If you love these scents, you should definitely try out Fragile. The projection and silage on this scent is insane, I never encounter tuberose scents that last like this anymore. Most are whisper soft and gone in a few hours, yet are somehow rated as strong and eternal here on fragrantica... the first time I tried Gucci bloom I was certain I had a counterfeit bottle with pathetic weak watery juice that disappears in 5 minutes. Turns out, that’s exactly what the $100+ bottles that most raters think are extremely strong are supposed to smell like! I would have hated on Bloom more but the flankers redeemed themselves as they are significantly better blends. Fragile actually IS strong and eternal. Man, they really don’t make them like they used to... I may start collecting backup bottles of Fragile if I ever finish the 10 large similar tuberose perfumes I already have.

This is a personal first: Fragile, for me, is all about the bottle design, and what the perfume itself smells like is almost irrelevant. I found a 50ml dome-style snowglobe bottle on eBay, complete with its crate-style box, and I am in love. It is the most wonderful bottle - depicting a figurine of an elegant lady encased in a snowglobe, with the perfume serving as the liquid within. Gold glitter pieces float in it, and although the perfume has grown amber with age, it doesn't impact too much on the beauty of the piece. However, I will admit that it is impractical and fiddly - it took some trial and error to open. I don't typically rate Gaultier fragrances too highly, but this scent is not bad at all. Fragile, created by the consistently good Francis Kurkdijan, is a big while floral fragrance, featuring tuberose prominently, in the manner of Poison. Fragile has a strong white floral opening, with orange blossom and tuberose most dominant. Balsamic fruity notes round it out, and ginger emerges after a little while. The white florals are bold, waxy and quite indolic. As it develops, the florals of the opening are joined by indolic jasmine, sweet ylang ylang and some sweet rose, forming a heady floral heart. I get lily in there too. There is a nice spiciness, thanks to the clove note and spicy-sweet ginger, adding a nice edge to the heavy white florals. It becomes powdery as it develops, perhaps thanks to the iris note. As it dries down, sweet, smooth vanilla adds a creaminess to the florals. Warm and spicy, sweet and powdery, the white florals are at their best here - they are less potent and the volume is turned down. Clean musk adds a soft animalic quality as it fades, eventually becoming a sweet, musky, amber-vanilla skin scent. With day-long longevity and enormous sillage (I sprayed the merest amount to test, and still smelled it for hours), the performance is excellent. The scent is as bold and extroverted as it should be, coming from such a bottle. At the same time, it is essentially a straightforward sweet-yet-heady tuberose scent. Glamorous and excessive, Fragile encompasses Gaultier's typical theatricality perfectly. Style over substance, but in the very best way. 3.5/5

I’m a perfume snob of sorts. I admit it. Whenever I test a commercial, celebrity, or designer scent I do it in total privacy, when no one else is in the house and I don’t have to go out, for fear it will be a scrubber that has the sillage of an atomic bomb and is impossible to eradicate entirely from my skin. Often I’m pleasantly surprised to find that I like the perfume in question, and to my delight, that’s what happened with Fragile. The EdP is a strong, spicy floral that includes the usual citrusy topnotes along with a whole mélange of floral notes including a bit of the tuberose that everyone mentions. It’s not really a tuberose fragrance, though, it’s more of a generic floral. I’m not fond of florals, but Fragile has enough cinnamon and other spice notes to cut the flowers down to a reasonable size. The ginger that’s listed in the notes doesn’t really pop out, but I think it’s helpful in counterbalancing all of the floral notes. Good thinking. After a few minutes I can smell the vanilla in the base, but it stays in the background. In the drydown the floral component eventually fades, leaving behind a low-key vanilla amber. It’s fortunate that I didn’t see the picture of the bottle before I tested the stuff from my plain cylindrical sample sprayer or I would have been irreversibly prejudiced. That bottle is the most god-awful piece of kitsch I’ve seen for a long time. What’s it supposed to be, a snow globe that sprays its liquid through the base? What a revolting idea. Yes, snow globes are fragile. They break if smashed by small children curious about what’s inside. The result doesn’t smell good, believe me. Sillage is considerable, but not overpowering, and longevity is at least 24 hours. Bottom line: Fragile is a fairly ordinary, but pleasant fragrance.

It's interesting how we don't appreciate something until it's gone. Back when it was released this perfume wasn't understood and consequently didn't become popular, but now that it's discontinued and hard to get, it suddenly became N1 desirable... The opening is a very strong, yet pleasant, feijoa fruit, that soon leaves the stage for jasmine, yang-ylang and tuberose. Gosh, it has a lot of tuberose! Miss Tuberose is definitely the star of this performance! I don't find it overwhelming, although I can see why a some people would. It lasts throughout the day on me and has medium sillage. As for the name... Well, I like it. I think it suits the fragrance. Gaultier has been quite direct with the image of a person he had in mind for who he created this masterpiece: a gorgeous, well-dressed, sophisticated lady, that may look fragile on the outside (like the bottle itself), but is made of steel with a strong willpower on the inside, a woman that knows what she wants (the strong, uncompromising content of the bottle). Maybe the bottle isn't practical, but so are high heels and cocktail dresses. I love it. I would only wear it to the theatre or opera though, just because I want to forever enjoy looking at the little figurine completely submerged in fragrance with golden sparkles floating around her.

I don't think this perfume has been a best seller unfortunately. It was discontinued after a few years if I remember well. it was maybe a delusion for those who were expecting a shocking seducing fragrance like the first creation of JP Gaultier was, and like his fashion is, and those who were looking for a magical and classic feminine perfume were scared by the name of the eccentric fashion designer and confused because of the bottle so many of them have never even tested it. And that was a mistake. Because the scent is really nice elegant and refined. An airy sparkling white floral. Just a fizzy sensual tuberose and a not so perturbing jasmine, yes, not the typical heavy fat tuberose for queens of seduction. This perfume could be a Caron or a Lavin. Maybe not so unique at the very first impression, but delicious and graceful with the right dose of sensuality, as said, and a drop of unconventional . The packaging is gorgeous, great concept, and with that FRAGILE like a stamp. Genius. But too childish I presume. I repeat maybe the perfume, with such "dress", should have been more fruity, candied fruit, or more aggressive sexy diva. It was not what expected maybe. But was divine, for a white evening dress.

Glorious dark heavy 1999 fragrance. The juice on this darkens and deepens with age as does the fragrance within the bottle. This one tends to age well and for the most part if stored nicely will hold it's integrity well. Fragile is heavy and it does have tuberose but it's not the kind you smell in Sand and Sable - this is not a beachy tuberose. It's a thick seductive and intoxicating version. Anyone who was into perfumes will remember Fragile even if you have never smelled it before. Once you smell it you will go "oh yeah" I know that scent. It's because everyone wore it back then. The heaviness stays and lingers for a very long time. Dammit how I wish they still made perfumes of this long lasting quality. This one of course was discontinued which surprises me somewhat. But I guess just like everything she became dated and not fashionable as the newer scents that started to emerge in the 2000's. This has the heaviness of Classic original but they are not the same. Classic has an odd after note that emerges 10 minutes after spraying and it's got a cola note. This is heavy tuberose in it's best form.

Of all the bottles of the "hooligan" Jean-Paul, I like this one the most. A surefire marketing for the market, a hemisphere reminiscent of a decorative Christmas ball, which, when turned over, you can gaze for a long time at the enchanting winter landscape, myriads of slowly falling snowflakes, a time of year so beloved by many. The graceful silhouette of a lady in a black dress in the gold of an evening sunset. Just shake the bottle and golden sparkles will slowly and smoothly swirl. The bottle, which is undeservedly for the creator of the fragrance, many will buy not for the sake of the fragrance itself, but for the sake of beauty. I like the smell of orange blossom and mandarin (here it's tangerine), ginger, coriander, jasmine, tuberose, ylang-ylang, amber and many other things, but today I smell, in addition to those listed in the ingredients, lily of the valley, which doesn't seem to be there at all. I want to wear this fragrance to the theater, opera, ballet, and special events, and I've tried it out both in summer and winter, and it's very worthy.

Its official! I'm not the only only who has had this for years and not used it... as I won't be able to play with the submerged lady in the glitter globe, anymore, if the perfume is gone... lol! (I just read the review by bikini babe;) Besides, on my skin, it smells sickly sweet - while I adore the bottle, the immaculate tiny lady doll?! (for want of a better description) in the great off shoulder black evening gown, I don't love or even like the way this smells on me, however nice it looks on my shelf! It was a gift from a loved one and in a cuckoo sort of way, I'm glad that I'm not 'in love' with the fragrance, on its own. In all likelihood, its going to sit on my shelf, as good as new and beautify it, for the next few years and keep reminding me of the person who gave me the prettiest perfume, I own, to date!

For me Fragile is not fragile, but rather a mix of fragility and strenghth. It dangerously walks in balance between the two. It is absolutely and mainly tuberouse, a real tuberouse fragrance. At a certain point I can't smell anything else in spite of the presence of so many notes, maybe complementary. It smells a little fresh at the beginning then it becomes a total floral bomb, very classic scent for a fancy woman dressed in furs and heels like in old days. Still it manages to keep some edges of innocence till the end. The "fragile" part? It's captivating like a woman who pretend to be so defenseless and play the part to attract men and when they discover her true naughty and heartless nature. I somehow like it, I don't wear it. The bottle is original and ironic. captivating

This perfume is as sexy and full as the mannequin sitting in the glass dome of the EDP. I adore tuberose and if my "favourites" shelf could hold more, this would definitely make that list. Fragile? On a deeper level maybe, if one would consider the hourglass Marilyn Monroe fragile. Sillage and longevity both very powerful from this mindblowing scent. It's sensual (an overused word but very apt in this case as with my favourite tuberose based scents), animalic (another overused but fitting description) white floral. Gorgeous perfume in a gorgeous bottle. I needed to add that I won't have catergorized this as a purely floral scent, the muskiness and warmth from the amber notes makes me feel that this is more flor-oriental? Just my opinion :)

Fragile is a kind of a perfume which made me ask myself how come ive never tried it before, and why isnt this more popular? Cause Fragile deserves attention, it is the most positive perfume surprise ive bumped into lately. Sophisticated turbulence of spices, flowers and fresh notes. Will only say that Fragile EDP is rather strong and longlasting perfume, more suitable for winter wear. Ill talk about EDT version, but not about notes, layers or ingredients. Fragile EDT is a smell of Audrey in Breakfast at Tiffany. The classy New Yorker from partying society. Sweet girl with simplistic glamour and style. Dreamer with a cat in her arms. Wet eyed women in love.

My good friend has just given me a mini of this in it's beautiful little bottle that she's had unopened since the 90's. I really like it and find it very much akin to 'Boucheron' which I have, and love. Lush, strong and floral, I can see why it didn't quite take off in the minimal 90's with CK One fever at its zenith! I actually remember trying it at the time and not being keen, but now I'm 38 I find it much more to my taste. It suits the female image in the bottle - strong, glamourous and elegant. Sillage and longevity are pretty good. The only moan I have is that it's a bit linear with no perceptible different notes in the drydown.

If ever a perfume deserved the name Fragile, by God it's not this one!!! More like Punch Me Hard With Tuberoses. An ex bought this for me - I love/hate it - the bottle is one of my favourites..ever - so fairytale romantic, ah... but the scent, Lordy, what a sucker punch of tropical hot wetness. More syrup than juice, it's humid, dense and sweeeet. Love it, mostly...

Tuberose & jasmine. However, nothing new or distinctive here. Starts off soft, but picks up strength with time, old fashioned in a way. The package is very creative. Drydown is too perfumey, too syntheticy; musky floral. Other than white floral, not sure where half of these other ingredients fit, cause I don't smell any of them. Stays on for awhile.
