La Belle Le Parfum

TLDR: There are noticeable differences in the 2 formulations of this perfume. Like many of the other reviews state, IMO, the 2021 version is the thicker, heavier and more gourmand version of LBLP. The scent is most definitely a flor-mand rather than a gourmand. The jasmine is there and it's candied (Alien-esque jasmine or Donna Born In Roma, for example) as opposed to the fresh and flowery jasmine we smell in something like Chloe Nomade Jasmine Naturel. This is a very sugary perfume. Bombastically sweet so you must love a sweet perfume. I see some reviews stating that leather can be smelled. I don't get any leather and I'm extremely sensitive to that note. If you love sweet, decadent and beast mode frags like DBIR (or any of the flankers), Flowerbomb Extreme and/or Nectar, etc., I think you'd really like this. Some reviewers say they smell a pear pastry/tart type of smell but I don't get that and it's due to the very noticeable jasmine. Some reviewers say they smell a cinnamon note...I don't get that either although there is a noticeable spiciness. This is beautiful. Full review: I have a problem and that is that when I find out a highly loved fragrance has been DCd, I become obsessed with finding a bottle (even though it would be a blind buy...that's why I consult Fragrantica and why honest reviews are so important). Blind buy and worry about the consequences later. And I do always seem to vibe with JPG fragrances...I own many and have smelled many. They're always so well crafted and bold. When I found out Classique Essence was DCd, I went on a mission to find a 100 ML. Thankfully it worked out and CE is a beauty. I know I'm not alone in this struggle 😆. Since I'm an all or nothing type of person, I usually go for the biggest size I can find at the best price. Especially if it's a DCd frag. Order a sample? No. Lol. A decant to try it? Maybe, depending on the price. This is one of those much loved fragrances. And a Quentin Bisch creation. We already know it's going to be well crafted simply because he's one of the perfumers. But pear? I don't know. I usually find pear leans too fresh and crisp but I admittedly don't have a lot of experience in smelling pear frags. The note has never appealed to me (with the exception of VS Pear Glace...90s girls IYKTYK). But all of your reviews here were telling me that LBLP isn't that type of pear. Many of your reviews say that THIS pear is caramelized and tart. Sounds amazing!! I tried the OG La Belle years ago and hated it due to an odd leather note that didn't work for me. So I ordered a travel spray of what was advertised as this 2021 version from Fragrancenet. The price was right. The picture on their website led me to believe that the travel spray would be filled with this 2021 formulation. Before I even placed the order, I knew there was a chance I would receive the reformed version. Not through any purposeful deception by Fragrancenet (I love Fragrancenet) but simply because they're a large company and might not be paying attention to details that we fragheads become obsessed about, especially when we're discussing reformulated fragrances. I received it a few days ago and I like it but it's not as strong as I thought it would be. In a crazy turn of events, yesterday I received a carded sample of this 2021 Le Parfum version from a kind Mercari seller. So crazy! How did they know that I was confused as to what version I received from Fragrancenet just a few days prior? They are similar but the carded sample one is so much stronger and longer lasting. More balsamic. More juicy pear. More caramelized. More vanilla. I think I smell some tonka. A bit of spice but I can't pinpoint the exact spice I smell. It's thick. It's decadent. It smells expensive. The Jasmine is there (similar to the type of jasmine used in the OG Alien...a bit candied?) but it's not front and center. The dry down is heavenly...rounder and softer than the reformed version I believe I have. It's beastly yet soft at the same time. It projects. There is nothing light about it. It is just better all around. The fragrance from the travel spray is more of that crisp and green type of pear. A bit watery, like pear juice. Like the juice that is in a can of pears. I'm smelling more of a fresh and light type of jasmine (like the one used in Chloe Nomade Jasmine Naturel). Not as much vanilla. Nothing spicy. It's simply a lighter version of the 2021 version. Could this be a placebo effect? Possibly. But I do really think like I smell a difference and I'm not jiveing with the (what I believe to be) reformulation. Could it be that the one from Fragrancenet was taken from a very newly produced bottle of the reform? Possibly. I'm taking the fact that I was JUST sent a sample of this 2021 version the other day (especially since this fragrance has been around for years) as a sign that I need a bottle of the 2021 version. A 100 ML bottle. Thankfully, there seems to be some reasonably priced bottles floating around on reseller sites. That was a really long review. I'm sorry but I felt like it needed to be said that IMO, there is a noticeable difference between the formulations of Le Belle Le Parfum...not as obvious as the reformulated version of Gucci Rush EDT (they MURDERED that perfume...RIP...you might not notice the difference if you've never smelled an old bottle...you might just think, "wow, this is really watered down, why do they talk about how strong this one is?") If you're looking for a ultra feminine, gourmand leaning, thick, opulent and caramelized fragrance, I'd suggest going with the 2021 version of this perfume. I wouldn't suggest blind buying only because I could see someone finding this one headache inducing.

Have you ever experienced that serendipitous situation where you go somewhere far away, buy something mundane you never thought you would love so deeply, only to never find it again? Well, La Belle Le Parfum is an old love, lost and reincarnated in a bottle. It was the middle of summer in Paris, 2017. I was at the Saint Lazare train station, saw a Lush store and remembered that i needed soap. So i bought one. I literally told the store clerk my needs based on my skin type, not a single soap in mind. She looked at me and said "this is the one for you". I wish i could remember which one it was, but i can't. All i remember is how much i loved using it and how much i regretted not buying a few of those (no lush stores where i live). To me, Paris will forever smell like a soft -yet noticeable- waft of vanilla that hides something spicier underneath. The true equivalent of a woman walking around the city in a large trench coat and sunglasses, may only God know what she's hiding under it. Day by day, bit by bit, the soap left me. And i left France. Sometimes, things are meant to be enjoyed for a while and that's it. I made my peace with it, and moved on with my life. Almost four years later, i was running errands -and, as anyone who is into perfumes- searching for a specific fragrance that is still running away from me. The store clerk said that, as expected, i would not have that scent today. Instead, she showed me La Belle Le Parfum, sprayed it and...it was nice. Ok, it was more than "nice": there was this pear note, so juicy and all over my face. But as good as it was, i was not into it like crazy. I said thanks and walked around the store, trying to buy the things i went there for. I say "trying", because the moment La Belle Le Parfum dried down, It. Was.On. It was game over for me. I tried to concentrate, thinking why i was so distraught. Something in the back of my mind was awakening, a memory. It felt like now i knew what hides under the trench coat: i'm the woman wearing it, and i won't tell you. The pear note dissipated, showing something spicy, almost cinnamon-like. The vanilla notes showed up later, made themselves more noticeable, but i couldn't be fooled anymore: Paris came back to me, in a sultry bottle. Saying that i'm obsessed is an understatement. Saying that i'm in love will never be enough.

The "scent of desire" was a journey: amazement, confusion, regret, love. At the store, my inexperienced self bought 100ml and a travel spray without even trying it on my skin. I was not familiar with terms like sillage/longevity when I wore this everyday over the course of a winter- and carried the travel spray with me. I'm pretty sure now that it filled the room. Surprisingly, nobody ever said anything to me, no compliments or complaints. I stopped wearing it when I realised it might have been a tad inappropriate. The bottle waited. I started getting into the world of fragrances. I met new people, years passed. Finally, I wore it again (instead of letting it wear me) on a cool summer night. And I loved it. On my skin: The gourmand facet almost disappears for the first 10 minutes, replaced with an almost dusty and very earthy tonka, reminiscent of a smoker. I like the opening, but I understand that a lot of people won't. I personally wouldn't mind having the original LB too- it's juicier, less earthy, sharper with vetiver and a tiny bit fresher. Different enough to own both if you're a true fan. Slowly, but surely, the roasted pear begins to shine, on a bed of vanilla. That earthy blast of tonka is slightly toned down by the vanilla, but is unmistakably still there. I cannot stop smelling my wrist. After a few hours, the pear gets sweeter and the vanilla is now noticeable. Addictive and intoxicating, and ever-present well into the next day. I once wore this (that too from the travel spray) at 9pm and could smell it the next day, after a shower, at 4pm!! This shines at night, throughout the year. Also wearable in the daytime for winter. Delicious, but dangerously so. Confident, but not imperious. The dark, earthy promise of something alluring. The fragrance equivalent of a love potion. Only you know who it's for.

A gorgeous, sexy and seductive fragrance. Syrupy boozed pear, rich amber and vanilla, cherry facets, loads of creamy tonka bean, slightly spicy, leathery and maybe a slight nuttiness too? I have the 2021 original formulation and I am DEVESTASTED that JPG repackaged/reformulated and discontinued this treasure. I have honestly never smelt anything like it! It's so creamy and sweet but deep and sensual. Ugh just perfection in a bottle! In comparison to La Belle (2019 formulation), La Belle Le Parfum is a creamier, deeper and more sultry take. In La Belle, the pear is more candy like, bright and syrupy. La Belle Le Parfum has more of a baked/caramelised pear. They both have a rich ambery-vanilla base and a spiciness, but LBLP amps up the leather and introduces cherry and boozy facets that LB does not share. Both are sexy, but LB is the flirty and slightly cheeky younger sister, and LBLP is the older sis with an alluring femme fatale energy about her. I would encourage anybody who's in the market for this to try and get their hands on the 2021 formulation. I have not smelt the new formula and frankly I am not interested, as I know it can never compare. The way this smells radiating off skin is intoxicating, and it lasts days on clothes. The projection is fantastic. It stands out and is a compliment magnet for sure. Perfect for the colder months and night time. Whenever I wear this, I feel like the most alluring version of myself. I truly cannot sing the praises of this perfume enough. La Belle Le Parfum is an all-time favourite of mine and I will forever grieve her. I will be on the lookout for any of the OG formulation on the second hand market, and I will love and cherish my current bottle. Goodbye La Belle Le Parfum, you will be so missed :(

I love complex fragrances. Niche fragrances that challenge your nose like a good whiskey. But I am at an age and time where I just appreciate a nice compliment now and then. Going somewhere and know I smell good. Jean Paul Gaultier was never really my thing ever since Le Male came out. I wore it like everyone else back then. The perfect clubbing scent and everyone loved it. Back in the days the street was filled with Le Male like Dior Sauvage is today. I digress, after a long shift I went to the perfumery in town and strolled through the fragrances. I noticed the borderline tacky bottles of La Belle and flankers and sprayed the Le perfume version. Oof. OK. Kinda dense. Kinda in your face initially. I walked out to do some shopping. That day not one, but three people told me I smell good. Flattered I googled what's in the juice. Simply three main notes were mentioned: Pear, Vanilla and Tonka. Some Jasmine. After the first compliment I had to smell myself more attentively and lo and behold I get it. It's very well blended, creamy Tonkanilla with juicy, spiced pear. The white flowers keeps this scent from being too gourmand, but enough to seduce you to take a bite. I went home without the perfume nonetheless. A few days later I walk though my hallway and smelled something faint and really nice. It was the jacket I wore when I tried La Belle. I was SOLD. I bought it and wore it every day. Cool weather, warm weather, inside, outside, any time of the day. It's a crowd pleaser and men love it. I am a man and they are sometimes confused to smell it on me. 😂 So if you want to smell like a seductive diva, get this one. Try it on first. Give it a second chance, because it can be intimidating at first! You will get noticed!

Hello, this is my first review🙂. This perfume has to grow on you as it has on me. At first, I was expecting something similar to the original but it wasn’t at all. I was unhappy cause I got the 100ml. I just kept it away because I was disappointed but there was something in the perfume that was drawing me back to it. I asked my family and I got negative reviews from them but my cousin said there was something addicting about the perfume I randomly picked yesterday up to wear it to bed and I fell in love with the perfume a new. The opening is soo boozy. I don’t think I have something quite similar in my collection. Similarities None really but the dry down is a tad bit similar Difference I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s similar to the og. If it is, it’ll be the smokier and intense version. The pear in this isn’t as sweet, the tonka bean here is just ... woww and the vanilla isn’t the same at all. The original’s opening is fresh and this is really boozy. Longevity I wore it to bed and I could still smell it as a skin ish scent (being there but not loud at all) so let’s say 8hrs or 9. Sillage People within arms length and six feet will probably smell you but it doesn’t fill a room. In conclusion, this isn’t really similar to the original. It isn’t a safe blind buy as there’s no guarantee that if you like the original, you’ll love this. It is different from the original and you can have both bottles. If you want to buy it, you can go with a small bottle to try it out. If you read my review to this point, I love you so much 💕💕

Holy fucking god, a bomb, pure vibes of a hot woman with power, elegance and sweet dark seduction. It is one of the best perfumes I have ever smelled in my entire life, it is brutal at the start, it is brutal when dry, it is brutal after a few hours, unbelievable. It is sweet, it is a deep vanilla, you can notice the tonka bean, also the jasmine (which is soft and does not ruin the fragrance at all, it gives it a touch of elegance, not granny-like), the caramelized pear is brutal, it is a gourmand by the book, and of the best ones, where you do not have to wait for it to dry down to smell the sweetness. There are people who say that it is way too sweet and clogging and it bothers them, I get it if you're not into that, but in my opinion it is perfection, it has a brutal aromatic balance tho, yes, it is sweet and caramelized but it is very deep and intense and a scent where you not only are able to identify the sweetness but also much beyond despite not having many notes, it is an experience, the bottle suits the fragrance perfectly, it describes it to perfection. I feel like an absolute dark femme treat with this and I love it, and at the same time it has a touch of romantic vampirism, I mean, as a goth myself I love wearing it because it reminds me of a seductive vampire trying to sweetly attract you and allure you just to sink her teeth into you when you less expect it. One of my signature scents forever. BRUTAL.

I finally got my hands on the Le Parfum, and thankfully, it's the older bottle. Le parfum, in the opening, is very similar to the original, so much so that I almost decided to sell it because it would have been redundant to own both. However, patience is key, and to me, the differences are evident in the dry down. Both open with a sweet caramelised pear with vanilla, but as they dry down, the tonka in the parfum starts to come out. The tonka reminds me a little of the tonka in Amande Tonka from Elie Saab in that it goes slightly choclately on me. So in the dry down, I get a more toned down version of the original wrapped in cosy powdery chocolatey tonka.. it's a very heartwarming and a more grounded scent in the dry down. In contrast, the original has a more pronounced fruitiness and sweetness from the pear, which is not dense or cloying thanks to the vetiver that I suspect brings an airiness to the composition. On me, the notes are blended so well that I can't really pick out the vetiver or leather. They are different but not so much so that you need to own both. Only a very seasoned nose will be able to tell the differences between them, even side by side. As for me, I think I prefer the original because I like the fruitier, airier nature of it. Overall, they are both stellar fragrances, and you can't really go with either, if you like the scent profile.

The opening of La Belle Intense is so juicy and addictive! (And the spitzer of the bottle is of excellent quality, so it's a pleasure to spray.) I think that there is something that marries so well between the sweetness of the pear and the dense cloudiness of the tonka bean, and it all being given a floral breath by the jasmine (the jasmine isn't overpowering, only complimentary). With that being said, La Belle Intense is so well blended. It's fruity without being cloyingly tropical, floral without being headache-inducing, and vanilla soft without being sweet tooth gourmand. It's far from being a teenage girly "Date Me" or Victoria's Secret body mist. This has class, and moreover great lasting power. I definitely think this is a standout piece from the rest of Jean Paul Gaultier's line of fragrances for women, which I think can be too bubblegum sweet and smell immature. La Belle Intense isn't that. I would even dare say that this is a safe blind-buy, and I dare also say that you could wear this all year round, any season. (With time, I've grown quite tired of smelling jasmine even though it used to be one of my favourite floral notes. La Belle Intense has reformed jasmine for me and finally turned it into something new. The jasmine isn't overpowering. It only elevates the rest of the notes in my opinion.)

La Belle is THE best female JPG perfume. You cannot change my mind on this. It is such a perfectly balanced perfume. The vanilla keeps it sweet, while the pear keeps it fresh and clean enough for everyday wear. I don't agree that this is a nighttime scent at all. To me, it's a strong, confident, loud perfume that works perfectly during the day. You can wear it to work, you can wear it while running errands, you can wear it basically anywhere. If this is your signature scent, I already know you're classy, elegant, brilliant, and strong-willed. I know I'm singing this perfume a lot of praises without actually describing the scent, but it's genuinely unlike anything else I've smelled. The note profile is straightforward, but it is NOT simple. The pear gives it sweetness without making it overly floral, while the vanilla adds just enough of a gourmand edge. To me, it almost smells like a sugar wafer. And honestly, I don't think there will ever be a perfect dupe for this perfume. The notes themselves aren't complicated, but the way they're balanced makes it very difficult to replicate.

Sultry, slutty and sweet. I'm gonna cherish my 2021 bottle for a long time. Edit with actual fragrance review: opens somewhat sharply, with a fresh pear, nothing overripe. The depth creeps in slowly after a few minutes but I can't really identify it. It's sultry and deep, fruity and not very sweet at this point. Midway to dry down I almost want to say it hits a boozy, spicy chord on my skin? Can be cloying but, damn, cloy me right up! My nose can't really pick out jasmine in here but it might also be due to me not being very experienced with perfumes. Some 30 minutes after the initial spray it gets distinctly sweeter. Now this is where that tonka and vanilla will shine. They're still shot through with fruity sweetness but will stay sultry sweet on my skin for the whole day. This perfume is strong and easy to overspray. It projects quite a lot and has a strong sillage, even long after the dry down. I'm curious how it compares to the new 2024 reformulation (for anyone confused: the old one is dark on top and lighter towards the bottom, the new one is the opposite).

A super sweet baked pear with the highest quality vanilla bean paste on top. Perhaps some basic syrup on top too. This is an incredibly strong, long-lasting, sweet, potent fragrance. Incredible sillage. One may smell it as a poached pear in basic syrup with vanilla bean paste mixed in. Imagine the syrup is extremely sweet, enough so that you don't want to eat more than a few bites of the meal. 2 - 4 sprays is enough and it won't come off your skin until 2 showers later and you'll have to wash your clothing a few times to get the scent off. Not a "childish" scent and not suitable for younger girls (say under 18) because it's very heavy, intoxicating, and perhaps sensual. It's one of those very, very rare perfumes that are actually worth the hefty price. The bottle is beautiful, heavy, and shiny. Great quality and stunning design. This is not suitable for hot or humid weather unless you enjoy making people uncomfortable. Keep it for cold/cooler weather and don't overspray. A++ perfume, nothing compares.

I got a small tester of this a January 23rd ’23, and at first sniff was immediately out off. It was overwhelming, chaotic, harsh and not well blended at all. The notes everyone talked about were nowhere to be found. It was borderline offensive. Last night, over two years later, I found the tested and tried it again. This was a completely different perfume. It was gorgeous! Beautifully blended, mixed perfectly with my chemistry and the more it got to sit on the skin the more beautiful it became. Personally I wouldn't call this juicy or fruity, as the most prominent note is vanilla. It reminds me of an expensive vanilla ice cream even though there's no milk notes precent. Underneath it the pear lingers, together with the tonka. The longevity is great. I applied it 11 hour ago and it's still very much noticable. I'm now going to get a bottle of this as I need it, desperately, in my life. I can't wait to lay it on thick and walk in this beautiful scent bubble all day.

I think it was QB that made me buy it, plus a massive craving last year for a big bottle of designer perfume that I could just spray without grinding my synapses intellectually. Instead, I got what I regard as a masterpiece . Yes, it does have that department store whiff that we cognoscenti tend to sneer at. I sprayed it this morning (mid Winter here, but warm and sunny). A delirious fleeting smell of seawater and sperm as a sneaky top note, then a long lingering heart of a nutty sweet yeasty doughy thing. I’ve grown to detest using food analogies to describe perfume, and this is not food per se, but it is really lickable and appetising. Deliriously sexual and ultra female. PS. I actually sampled first the original and the garden variety. This is streets ahead, such an indulgence, so delightful to relax into something that just smells fantastic. I can see people freaking out that it’s been changed, as I realised my Mitsouko changed. It is that good.

An instant love! It starts off similar to La Belle, but quickly takes on its own unique vibe. The pear isn't as fruity or overpowering - it's more rich and caramel-like. I also find this ambery and the vanilla ever so slightly spicy. It’s definitely sweet but not cloying. You don’t need both the perfumes. I prefer this one for its darker, more refined character which exudes a sense of sophistication and sensuality. Also because the pear accord is more nuanced and understated compared to the original. This is perfect for a night out! It's got amazing projection and a massive sillage. But here's the weird thing: I smell coffee in the dry down! My mom picked up on it too, but I haven't seen anyone else mention it. Up close, it's all tonka, vanilla, and soft caramelised pear. But in the air, it's got a coffee thing going on. I hope it settles soon. Either way, I'm loving it.

An absolute beauty, the scent bubble this fragrance provides is truly incredible, this is the most gorgeous syrupy perfume I have ever smelt, it settles into the air and onto the skin in the most mouthwatering way, as a person who isn’t usually fond of fragrances with white florals, as I can find them to be too screechy at times, I was worried it wouldn’t be too my taste and that it would be to loud of a jasmine which would override the pear note but the jasmine Quentin Bisch and Sonia Constant have concocted is so soft it just melts into the pear note, along with the tonka and vanilla, rather than screaming over it, just so stunning. Really disappointing and frankly insulting to the perfumers (assuming they had no say in the matter) for discontinuing such a gem, but of course the best fragrances always end up discontinued.

I tested this a couple months back and loved it SO much. I kept smelling it around me and asking myself “oh my gosh WHO is wearing that divine fragrance??” and it was me 😼 Sadly I had no clue about the reformulation and discontinuation of this perfume so I wasn’t able to buy it. For months I was trying to find this and yesterday I finally did. It’s genuinely the nicest fragrance I have smelt. It’s somewhat simple and will get you a bunch of compliments. It smells like something you’d wear on a cold night out, then coming home to a nice fireplace to warm yourself up with. If anyone is tossing up whether they should get this or not, I say PLEASE DO!!! (If you like sweet and spicy fragrances)

FULL BOTTLE WORTHY. Took a bit for the hype train to catch up to me. But it got me good. Soon as it did, I got me a full bottle. Love the bottle! This juice is bewitching. A magnetizing love potion. A dream. Lush, classy, to-die-for special. Caramalized pear and rich, dense vanilla. Slightly spicy, nutty, earthy, floral, and creamy. Syrupy sweet and fizzy at the start. Warmer, hours in. So cocooning. An easy reach for any point in the day. I’d wear this anywhere, each day of the year, all kinds of weather. Phenomenal sillage and longevity. Resinous ambery vanilla in the far drydown. Smelled lovely on my jacket a week later. Makes my Top 10. La Belle Le Parfum is a stunning MASTERPIECE

I’ve had this a couple of months. Bought mid winter and it’s divine. I’m not a gourmand lover but I’m in love with this one. I realise I do enjoy a juicy cooked pear note. I get a lot of thick vanilla with this warm honeyed cooked pear and some soft spices. It’s addictive and really works well in winter. My skin smoothes out sweetness (unless it’s honey) and I find this to be beautifully sweet. Some people might find it too sweet if their skin makes things sweeter. I’ve begun enjoying it as my evening scent and scratches my itch for something sweet to eat. Instead, I just wear this and smell like a yummy pudding 😁🤣 Backup bottle worthy. And this really does last and project.

I still have a tester from a while back, and I randomly decided to try it again. From the moment I first smelled this, I loved it. But now, trying it again, it somehow unlocked something kinda emotional in me, in a weird but good way. I have never felt the need to write anything about this perfume until now. I realized this may be one of the most disarming perfumes I've tried. I feel like this has the power to make whoever smells this your friend. To me, it has something so special about it, it has a sweet and innocent vibe, like a romantic movie with the same feeling. That's probably why it moved me. I don't know about the 2024 version, but this one is amazing.

Love at first sniff! Mind you I love pear fragrances because of the sweetness it brings. This is a candied pear with vanilla syrup drizzle on top and then the amber wraps around to create a warm alluring scent. I think this is a true gourmand scent when comparing to the og that leans floral gourmand in my opinion. I have received many compliments on this perfume as well as double takes when walking in public. It may be because it smells edibly good or it may be because it smells overly sweet for some, but either way people smell it. It’s there and the scent does not shy away. I can get a good 6 hours of wear. This one stays in the front of my vanity.

One of the sexiest fragrances on the market. The vanilla is far from boring, its enticing and alluring, with the sultry syrupy pear only adding to the intoxication. It's mature without being old, fun without being juvenile. The warmth of the scent is interesting, as it's also very fitting for a summertime date night just as much as a cold weather rendezvous. Wearing this scent in a very cold winter doesn't do it justice, only washing it out to a cosy vanilla, instead of allowing the white floral and pear to fully express themselves. Performance is fantastic, lasting for ages and detectable from further away.

A stronger version of La Belle but I will only use this at night as to how strong the scent is. The sillage is strong, stronger than La Belle. It also last longer than the La Belle as well. Even though I use the other La Belle for everyday use, this one I will also wear it but only at night out or just casual night outing with friends. You don't need to buy both La Belle and La Belle le Parfum just take some considerations. If you want a strong, long lasting perfume preferably for night out, go for this one but if you want something for everyday use both day and night, go with the La Belle.

Ok so ive held off writing a review on this because for the longest time I didn't seem to smell what everyone else was smelling, when I got it, I swear it smelt like wet cardboard and I've avoided it since. It's been sat on my shelf and I decided to give it another go today, and wow! its night and day, it just needed to sit a while I guess. I smell the pear immediately, and it instantly reminds me of a wine-soaked pear, I still smell a bit of that.. earthiness in the background but it's a beautifully sweet scent. I'm glad I didn't get rid of it now and gave it a second chance.

Devastated that this is discontinued! My skin EATS perfume, I’m lucky if I can get a couple of hours before needing to respray, but this...... Holy Moly! I wore this to work the other day, I sprayed it at 5.30am and on my way home at 5pm I could still smell it.... On my SKIN!!! This to me is a better version of the original. It’s more vanilla and Tonka, with the pear being a little bit more caramelised than tart/juicy. I honestly don’t know why I don’t wear it more? But now I can’t get a back up, I’m gonna have to be selective on when I wear it. It’s lovely!

This is a love potion witchery right here. Love potion witchery! It's intoxicating and very seductive, and I'm saying this as someone who is not a fan of Pear or Jasmine. Vanilla and tonka bean, however? Yes please, ma'am. Performance is long-lasting. I can still smell it the morning after the night before. The bottle is also beautiful, and like all JPG bottles, a lot of thought and love has gone into the aesthetic and packaging. If you enjoy sweet or femme fatale fragrances this is a no-brainer. Cold weather only though. She will kill you in sunshine!

A vanilla-pear bomb dressed in a leather jacket. I personally don't find it 'too sweet' like some do, for me it's well balanced and well blended, and it certainly has staying power if you want something that lasts all day (even on skin)!! It's not as groundbreaking as some of my 'niche' perfumes but its very very enjoyable (and sexy!). I found it on offer for about £85 for 100mls which I think its decent, and as its so potent I imagine it'll take me a while to get through the bottle :) it's a winner for me!!! Thanks Quentin :)

I wasn't sure about this. Looked up fragrantica and searched youtube reviews. But when one of my fav perfume influencers replied to my querry, I blind bought it. I absolutely LOVE it. The perfume is heavy, no doubt, just spray less as it goes a long way. Certainly has staying power unlike candy rock sugar. People say they are similar. I do see why they say that but this perfume is mature. Has layers, albeit a few. Candy rock is cute but just sweet. So I really want to recommend this to you all. Get it before its gone forever

absolutely GORGEOUS!! it's sugar extradose of OG. Opens up with a sweet, little spiciness, vetiver exactly the same dna of La Belle but more sugary SWEET and intense and not as green and fresh as OG, and a little while the Jasmine comes up just like the flower notes in the OG but more creamier, way sweeter and thick. I think it's more gourmand. This is like for just cold months for sure or in the evening. I love them both so much but like the og just a little bit more. ♥️🍦🍐 added: scent trails is C-R-A-Z-Y for first 2-3hrs.💨

This is even better than the original! It’s so sensual it should be forbbiden for minors 😝 It’s opulent, elegant and unapologeticly feminine. It smells edible but in a grown up way. It also smells very natural and expensive. Very well blended. A bit powdery not overly sweet, very juicy. It smells like a hot christmas date. Really a work of art. One of the sexiest fragrances i’ve ever tried ( and i’ve tested more than 1000). Try it if you want a juicy, fruity and creamy vanilla scent for winter dates. Final note: 10/10

I’ve had this fragrance for a while like two years but I forgot to wear it and today I tried it again! To me this smells just like freshly baked Pear cobbler with rich vanilla sugar that’s almost caramelized with just a hint of cinnamon and spice, there has to be a cherry note in here too. This is a decadent dessert from first spray. As it dries down it has a similar vanilla notes as Tresor A La Folie. Autumn and Wintertime only. Sexy, mysterious and truly seductive, fantastic longevity and projection 10/10

You have to let this grow on you. The jasmine is VERY notable in this fragrance (i think this why some people smell olives at first) and even as a jasmine hater i love this. I've also noticed when i spray it and sits for a while that the smell on my skin is kinda different from the smell in the air around me? The jasmine stays on my skin but the smell in the air is like carmelized pear on top of a vanilla icecream it's very sweet classy and elegant and it's made for mature people.

When I first sprayed it my initial reaction was "Oh no, it just smells like any other sweet floral perfume I'd find at Macy's", but seconds later a luxurious richness whisked those thoughts away immediately. As it settled on my skin, the jasmine, vanilla, and pear mingled together perfectly; all joined by a gentle, dry spiciness that gives a spark of sensual depth. Gaultier Divine was good, but not quite my thing; La Belle, on the other hand, hits the mark perfectly for me.

This is my favourite fragrance ever. I am a big fan of complicated and sweet notes. First notes after applying feel fresh and fruity turning into secondary sweet floral notes. I love how harmonious vanilla united with flowers plays on my skin, there is something special about this perfume, I think it might be a strong but not excessive scent of amber that gives oriental vibes. If I ever lose my memory, the first thing that I want to do is to try on this perfume again.

Date niiiiiiiight! Gutted this is discontinued. Does anyone have recommendations for a replacement that's as sexy as this? I've never come across anything more sultry. It's super sweet but it's also has deep smokey incense vibes balancing sweetness and giving grown up adult. The end product is completely different to orginal La Belle to me. It's by far the best JPG every. Why take it away!? Note: I have a pre-reformulation. I've never tested the new bottle version.

This was my first ever designer perfume purchase and I absolutely have no regrets! Such a sensual and sweet fragrance with a hint of spice that gives it a bit of a mysterious vibe to it. This is the fragrance you buy when you wanna be the main character. A spiced carmalized pear is the best way to describe it. I’m not sure how it compares to the original La Belle but we will see because I bought the OG and it’s on the way. I would certainly repurchase Le Parfum!

WHY HAS THIS BEEN DISCONTINUED? This is the best perfume EVER. I’ve tried many other niche fragrances but this one is the best, none of them can compare. Juiciest, sweetest but not childish nor cloying, opulent, mysterious but not masculine, sexiest, gourmand but not too much, Strongest sillage and projection, eternal longevity, two sprays can stay on clothes for 3 days. JPG PLEASE BRING THIS BACK!!!!! AND NO WE DONT WANT THE 2024 version!!!!

I live in Japan and had blind bought this back in November. I am so happy I took the chance! I love it so so much I don’t ever want to be without it! I’ve searched all over for backup bottles the last few months, and now a proud owner of 6 new bottles! Thank you Quentin Bisch for giving me so much happiness through this beautiful creation! I have loved fragrances since I was a child, and this has truly changed what fragrance means to me!

I'm a terrible perfume snob and normally don't buy designer/department store fragrances anymore. However, I was at Macy's a week or so ago and smelled this. I haven't had a favorable reaction like this to any fragrance in some time, so I absolutely bought it on the spot. I feel sexy and pretty when I wear this, in addition to powerful and confident. Others around me seem to like it, too. It's a keeper!

This was my signature scent for a while, very elegant but still has a youthful vibe. I wear this on my nights out and always get compliments. It's like if gourmand and clean came together in a perfect way. The pear node keeps it fresh and fruity but it really gets carried by the vanilla and tonka. One of the best scents I have ever smelled. I will make sure to always have this in stock. 10/10

This is beautiful. I have alot of the perfumes with this DNA but this is really special and beautiful. I had multiple units of the 2021 batches. If you can find it, get it. Boys or girls, young or old, anyone can wear this. I don’t like Jasmine in fragrances but the Jasmine in this is so beautiful and well balanced. The older 21 batches perfumes shits on the newer batches of this.

This is my new favorite perfume. It makes me feel absolutely irresistible. To me, it smells like a decadent vanilla frosting, but not sickeningly sweet. I've never smelt anything like this before, it's very unique and makes you stand out. It's definitely more of a nighttime perfume but a couple of sprays for a daytime outing won't do any harm. I'm OBSESSED!

I bought a 5ml decant of this as on paper it ticks all the right boxes for me. Upon first spray I was heavily disappointed but I persevered through the disappointment and I'm glad I did as with more wear this has fast became a new favourite. I'm through my decant already and it's top of my to buy list. Lovely, seductive slightly dark in ways gourmand. 🙌

My absolute favorite fragrance. I just wish it would smell a bit more like the EdP! I was looking for a stronger version of La Belle EdP and I have to say that the Parfum version is definitely more on the warmer and heavier side - to me a bit less gourmand and not as fit for summer and daytime wear as the EdP. Regardless, still my everyday perfume.

I’d sell my left nut for this. An actual to DIE for fragrance. The sweet pear, the spiced cinnamon note and the mix of the vanilla. This is what gourmands SHOULD be, not overly sweet, not overly creamy, not overly spiced! Everything is balanced and the older the batch the sweeter the juice. 10/10 lasts longer than my lifespan!

I love this so much it’s my fav perfume rn. It creates the most beautiful scent bubble of a seductive, juicy/fruity deep vanilla. The longevity is so impressive too 😍 initially there’s a super juicy pear scent and a hint of vanilla, and the dry down becomes more of a powdery vanilla fragrance. It is soooo perfect i love her

I used to wear this nonstop, but I grew tired of it. One chilly night, I had the idea to layer this with Italica and let me tell you, I couldn’t stop drooling on myself. It’s like they were made for each other, but you must be a die hard gourmand to truly appreciate the divine delectability that awaits you. You’re welcome.

Ugh 10/10 LOVE THIS DOWN !!!! It’s so beautiful and feminine, it’s not your typical fruity perfume something about the vanilla and tonka bean gives it this deep almost creamy like scent that LINGERS omg. My top 10 fragrances ever and the performance is sooo good, could last up to 8 hours depending on how much you spray.

I'll forever be devastated by the fact that 1st they reformulated, and after they straight up discontinued it. I still have my bottle that I received Christmas '22, and it went from being my signature to me rarely using it because I'm scared of running out.. :/ giving femme fatale vibes, smells like a caramelized pear
