Le Beau Narcisse

I've never purchased a single JPG fragrance up until now because they're typically too sickeningly sweet, loud, or simply have notes that aren't my style. I passed by this bottle of Narcisse at Sephora and the design caught my eye. While normally I wouldn't give it a second thought, I sprayed some on a tester and immediately was enamored by it. Sweet, but not overwhelmingly gourmand like vanilla icing. Powdery, but not like lipsticky iris. Fresh, but not green or aquatic. And finally the best part: the tremendously clean and addictive musk. I sprayed it on skin and it got even better. Over the next 30-45 mins as I walked around, the powdery creaminess remained, but some of the sweetness faded away. It morphed into something even better as hints of white flowers (the orange blossom) and a base of silky tonka bean vanilla are pulled together by soft skin musk that dominates the fragrance. I happen to think it's unisex on a test strip and could see why some may even say it leans slightly feminine; however, on *my* skin it seems to lose some of the sweet powdery notes and actually gets a little more masculine. That musk works magic and serves to create a fragrance that I couldn't stop myself from smelling. I must have sniffed my arm 80 times in the next hour. As an aside, I get absolutely zero coconut from this and really have to make a stretch to say I smell even the slightest hint of bergamot. What is left is a simplistic, yet incredible package of notes. I purchased a full bottle two days later. In terms of longevity, this stuff is nuclear for me: I put three sprays on my forearm at 5 PM yesterday and can still smell it now at 10:30 PM the next day.

I don't get the hate here. Although it is very much different from any other Le Beau scent. I haven't smelled flower edition yet, but the rest I have. This scent starts off as powdery as everyone says it does although I'm not sure why people associate powder with baby powder every time something is powdery. It's got more of a sweet creamy scent that blends in to make the opening very nice in my opinion, however it can be perceived as feminine due to the overall sweetness with the powder. After that the dry down turns less powdery and more laundry detergent smelling with the sweetness being toned down a bit. Performance with this stuff is actually very strong on my skin. Very strong projection after 4 sprays and it last throughout the entire day for about 9-12 hrs. Le Beau Narcisse in my opinion is a good scent and I personally love it. It starts sweet, creamy and powdery. Then turns clean, musky and still a little sweet, its got some appeal. However this is not blind buy safe at all if you dislike powdery scents or if you're expecting traditional Le Beau DNA, that's not really there at all imo. Overall I'd say this is an 8/10 for me, its got its own weird charm and I can respect that.

First off Ignore any of the comments saying it smells like baby powder or urine (it does not). I blind bought this with no prior idea of what it smelt like, but the best way to describe it is, imagine orpheon edp by diptyque, but replace the bubbly element with creamy tonka, its a powdery floral with a beautiful creamy tonka dry down, thats somehow just creamy enough to still be classed as a summer scent. Imagine orpheon fused with fleur de peau. Only notes would be - summer scent but wouldnt wear it in any temp higher than 30 celsius to be fair. - is quite feminine if youre used to very masculine scents. - perfect amount of powderiness. MOST IMPORTANT NOTE: - if you like any of this frags listed below, im willing to bet you will love this frag. - Orpheon edp ~ Diptyque - Fleur de peau ~ Diptyque - Narcotic Venus ~ Nasomatto - Guilty elixir ~ Gucci - Reflection man ~ Amouage 1 Day later (edit) After a few wears I have to say it really shines on the dry down after 2-3 hours, it smells so beautiful. Definitely JPGs most artistic release when compared to mass appeal monsters like the le males and other le beaus

I love love love this. As soon as i tried it on skin I brought it home, immediately yes ! Definitely leans powdery and feminine i wear it successfully as a woman and its magical on me. It's floaty like a light blue cloud of feminine dust 💙 yet still also perfectly unisex. But it's amazing as well on a refined elegant man, a European man with a tailored summer suit and crazy amazing design sunglasses. Any man that understands this has a healthy sense of masculinity and it's incredibly sexy, while also exquisetely elegant. I love love love ❤️ To me its a more unisex and summer variation of Shalimar l essence by Guerlain. Chic elegant, powdery, airy, sweet, fresh. Can't get enough of it. Bottle beautiful, the perfect shade of calm blue exactly what the scent profile inspires. 10/10 Beautiful. Safe as a day scent, nights, dinners, work events, flights & airports, romantic dates ( just intensify the sprays) and it leaves a trail of pheromones that would make anyone feel hypnotized wondering what they smell in the air . Leave a trail like this in his car, or pillow it will be like a magic potion.

The Fleur du Male comparison is apt. Not perfect, but apt. I know chamomile isn't a listed not but it has that same sort of whiff of hay bale thing that Fleur du Male had going on. As it dries down, the comparison to Body Kuoros is also apt, mostly that camphor like resinous quality. I also kind of get the Tom Ford F*cking Fabulous vibe. Suffice to say, this smells like nothing else in the Le Beau line, for better and worse. It doesn't even smell like anything in the Le Male line (at least not anything currently in production). I never smelled the Fleur du Male Cologne flanker so I am unable to draw a comparison there. I could see this as being a pretty solid work scent. Doesn't seem like it's trying to drop anyone's drawers. Just maintains an interesting, clean demeanor for the longevity (which as it still projects off skin 6 hours later is pretty impressive). The best description I could give it is a more crowd pleasing Fleur du Male. Hope this helps and doesn't just add to the static.

I love JPG, I have multiple bottles of several. I use to love the now discontinued Fleur du Male. I wore it too much and don't like it too much anymore. It's too indolic for me. So when I heard this Narsisse is very similar - I was scared. But QBisch has upgraded it. The indolic nature is almost completely gone and replaced with a clean musk. Similar to Blanche Bete. It lasts a solid 8 hrs. The projection isn't like other JPGs. It's not crazy loud like Le Male Elixir. You can wear this to the office. It's projection is slightly below the New Le Male in Blue 💙 and Le Male Le Parfum. It's linear for the most part, and although the DNA 🧬 is similar to a combination of Fleur du Male and Blanche Bete - That Combo has never been done before. So it's quite unique. Its early, but I doubt it will crack the top 7 JPGs in my collection. That said - I really like it. It has a place.

It’s slightly powdery coconut milk. The coconut is more of an aquatic coconut giving a humid aspect to the vanilla, which keeps the powder in check. The orange blossom isn’t as floral as some may suggest. It lays underneath that coconut milk and slips through adding a nice touch. The orange blossom in liquid brun is more prominent than this for context. This is how I picture it. If a tourist wears le beau le Parfum to a tropical island vacation. Narcissus is what a native would wear. JPG still went in the tropical direction with this one, just not in the cliche way everyone paints as “tropical” I clocked it. Noel smells described it as glowing skin. And he’s absolutely right. This is for the 30 and up crowd. I say yes to this 100 times over.

THE best Jean Paul Gaultier fragrance. As soon as I saw the article on here that said this smelled like baby powder, I had to get my hands on this because I love love love me a baby powder scent. And it really does smell like baby powder! Mixed with some sweetness. This is completely unisex. I'm a girl and I love this on me, and I would also love smelling this on my boyfriend. I got the travel size since I was blind buying it, but I'm going all in on a full bottle. I swear to God if Gaultier ever stops producing this, I will never get over it. This fragrance is EVERYTHING for all you powder lovers. 1000% go get this

This is the only JPG I own and I blind bought it 😂 Anyway I didn’t really like it the first time I smelled it, I even went as far as trying to return it for 20% less than what I paid. But then I decided to keep it, not because I was in love with it, but because I felt like it was different from all the clean musky fragrances I own. I’m a clean musky guy I love that scent profile, so I kept it to get out of my comfort zone and have something different in my collection. Still don’t love it but I like it and it’s grown on me after only one full wear. The hate on this is so forced

Starts off smelling like an old lady with a very powdery floral start, but dries down to this super pleasant, soft, sweet sun screen type scent. Not sure where the hate is coming from this is really inoffensive and safe so far I've enjoyed wearing this one a bunch. Despite it being soft and airy it stays on skin for a surprisingly long time as I was catching whiffs of it throughout pretty much the entire day after applying it in the morning. If you don't like soft clean laundry type scents then I guess I can understand why you wouldn't like it, otherwise this is great.

Such a beautiful simple perfume from jpg. Not every 'Tropical' scent has to be fruity making you smell like a f-ing fruit bowl. Sometime beauty lies in simplicity. This is simple yet elegantly done perfume. It's opens a bit citrusy and powdery evolving into fresh orange blossom with tonka and vanilla. Coconut is there but very mildly in the background. You will feel like you're chilling on a vacation in clean AC room wearing white t-shirt. Go give it a try yourself before listening to idiots online. If you like scent like YSL myself, you will love this one.

although claimed to be for men, I tried this recently and liked it very much. it can definitely be a daily, clean and pleasant scent for us ladies too. the price is great for what it delivers, wouldn't need to be anything more, anything less. I think it stayed on my skin for around 3-4 hours and then it was gone. stayed very close to the skin as it wasn't the powerhouse type to create a trail as you go. very clean, very likeable, not offensive at all. can easily be gifted to someone too. I can't imagine being disturbed by this. might be worth checking out.

This thing is getting review bombed but fragrance is so subjective so I can see why its not for everyone. Very fresh. I see the laundry/soapy scent from it. It is very powdery but to me this is that luxury hotel lobby scent. If soap/laundry/powdery scents weren't your thing then this wont be for you. But if it is, great choice for the summer. Even in extreme heat. Bought today, worn in Arizona and today was 98 degrees. Just right at 7 hours for me then became skin scent. On clothes it lasted longer.

Amazing fragrance and a bit of a more unique and different addition to the Le Beau line. Not tropical like the others, and the best in the line in my opinion. This isn't an out and out summer fragrance but it can definitely be worn year round. Really soft fruity musk with a creamy tonka and vanilla in the drydown. I don't pick up on a lot of bergamot but the coconut is soft and subtle and the vanilla is creamy and delicious. It definitely gives me a sort of sunscreeny and powdery smell. 10/10

Honestly JPGs best work. It's so different from the other JPGs, and sadly i wouldnt be suprised if it was discontinued. Definetly not something that an average JPG fan would like, but i think the fragrance is very mass appealing. It's not ultra masculine nor is it ultra feminine, which is what i love about it. It's mass appealing and i haven't met a single person so far that dislikes it. Loving it so far, i've used about 1/4 of the bottle. 8.6/10

This is a truly unexpected flanker. It has a surprisingly feminine character for a men's perfume. It's a clean scent, especially dominated by musk and orange blossom. There's a classic JPG sweetness at the end. It smells a bit like sunscreen or a clean, white body lotion. It would be a great choice for gentlemen. I got a bottle. It would be a wonderful choice, especially on hot summer days and during sports. The scent quality is excellent...

I've always loved JPG, one of my first fragrances I ever bought was JPG le male in the late 90s and I've always owned one or a few flankers since, right now I own 9. This though is really unique for JPG, it's in the le beau line but nothing like the original EDT or EDP, it's just doing it's own thing which I like. It leans feminine, but that's ok, it's such a beautiful fragrance. Highly recommend❤️

just got this today genuinely one of the best scent in my collection it smells like ysl myslf's cooler fresher slightly sweeter brother (coming from a myslf glazer btw) this stuff blows me away DEFINITELY not blind buy safe but its a masterpiece the other le beaus smell like shit (other than flower edtion which i have not smelt) this stuff is beautiful 10/10 any time of year scent

I dont write alot of reviews here even though i have over a 100 fragrances. im not the biggest fan of JPG since iv often found them tailored more to the younger audience ( under 25 ) but when i got my nose on this one i realy fell for it, its the closes to niche quality iv smelt from this brand. its kinda giving flowery initio musk therapy/rehab vibe. i

I really like this fragrance—it feels completely unisex to me. I’m planning to layer it with something woody to balance out the sweetness. It’s very vanilla-forward with a soft, powdery finish that gives it a cozy, comforting vibe. Turns a bit more masculine during the dry down.
