Monsieur Eau du Matin

I see it as one of the best from its line and type. Sparkling citrus and wood give it an edge. Is to be applied generously and is fresh and invigorating.The spices are pushing the envelope even further but Ok it does not last long but this type of fragrances are not long lasting. They need heat and heavy application to last more and for the price, i love it. It is not soapy as mugler cologne not traditional citrus like 4711. I see it in the same type as allure homme sport cologne version. This is sweeter, chanel is more on a lemon.

Smells natural and expensive, true quality. Sadly, hard no to mention longevity of this. Only 1 hour (with not that bad projection) on my skin. Overall, green citrusy, a bit spicy woody, classy scent. You can refresh with it any time anywhere, and this is a plus. Price for scent is amazing. But even 100 ml can become empty in a short time. P.S. not discontinued. I got version made in 2016 april.

I actually really like this. It's very fresh "shaving cream" clean, but not soapy clean. Cedar and a splash of citrus are very soft and gentle. It has a bit of Dior Homme in it too; you know, that lipsticks scent. Obviously, it's not a strong performer that lasts all day but it's nice when you first put it on. This one is for me because of that really nice lingering cedar.

So intoxicating, fresh and clean scent. I just can’t get enough of it. It is a very safe buy if you are looking for an office fragrance. No Wow factor. No drama . Just a clean fresh after shower cologne

This is a nice one from Jean Paul Gaultier! Really nice scent, very citric and also a little woody and spicy! Really different from the others that I've tried. Monsieur is a perfume for men without any doubts, but is also far more conservative than others Gaultiers that tend to have a more androgynous scent. Maybe this is one source of critics of this fragrance. It's not a insanely and romantically elaborated fragrance. It is rather simple and honest. If it's a copy or not, only specialists will know for sure. The thing I know for sure is that this is a sincere and unpretentious cologne for men. Simple with a nice scent.

Monsieur Eau du Matin opens with a citrus splash that is quickly followed by a green petitgrain that later mingles with cedar. It creates a fresh, green and clean aura that fades away too quickly. Too bad for that, because I think this fragrance has a lot of potential. With luck the longevity may stretch to 2 hours. I like it but it feels more like a body spray. from the package: 'This fragrance is enriched with a variety of citrus and cedar wood essential oils. rub over the body for a discreet fragrance'.

Very nice cologne from my fav. Perfumer Francis Kurdjian. It's fresh and smells natural. Not complex and quite linear. But doesn't last at all. Whether you rub it or not, it just escapes you within minutes. Would like EAU de PARFUM version of it. Please make it. Overall quite clean and refreshing. Verdict: 6/10

It does plagiarize Thierry Mugler's cologne mostly(didn'y compare the similar notes...yet...do they exist?) Meanwhile, spray this lots and get a headache. Mostly just spray after smokes...and it's not even good for that since it is mild. But, it is a nice headache. ;)

This is a nice scent fresh, crisp eye opening, but it lacks longevity, Well it really is a EDC & they are not meant to last long anyway. Nice EDC from Gaultier. If it had longer staying power, the masses would be much more satisfied.

This was nice, although a mere plagiarist of Mugler Cologne(albeit a bit diluted with something to give you a headache now). Was cheap, but nothing beats Mugler.

Smells like Thierry Mugler Cologne but much weaker. The longevity and projection is even weaker than 4711. For those of you who wonder, yes I rub it after I spray it on but still it doesn't activate much, if at all, whatever is contained in this super light EDC. *update: this 'thing' is like water with a drop of perfume in it. It is scandalously weak. I literally get 20 sprays on myself and it is gone in a minute. I got my bottle only 2 days ago and I already used up 10 ml because I had to spray away just to get a faint whiff of this thing. No wonder on the packaging it is called 'eau du matin' instead of edc because it is not even potent enough to be called an edc. A scam. Bottle looks good on the bathroom shelf but it is a scam. I am glad it is discontinued because it is a waste of money.

Totally Thierry's Cologne copycat!!! While Thierry Cologne has a great longvervity, this one's very poor.

A mere suggestion of a fragrance.

MONSIEUR is a very light eau de toilette. You can't hardly smell this after just 1 hour :( Is very fresh and citrus but smells like Mugler cologne. I use it when I wake up, wash my face and I go to do something outside for a little time or just to stay at home, I put Monsieur on my neck and arms and I feel very clean and refreshing because this scent gives you the feeling of freshness and cleanliness It was a blind-buy (it's really a gift of my partner but I never smell this before), just because is a Jean Paul Gaultier fragrance (I'm a big fan), but I really like it! Now I can find some bottles here in Spain and I'll buy another bottle when this one's over. The bottle is beautiful. I love the simplicity of this bottle because is just elegant. Transparent glass that reveals the liquid of the fragrance, green that evokes its freshness. Printed in the bottle a brick motif that is inspired by the wall of the Parisian metro.

Still readily available here though others below have suggested it’s discontinued. I get fresh vibes similar to G&B Pacific Rock Moss. At first I was happy as this is almost 1/10th the price but projection and longevity is poor. It performs in between a Cologne and EDT. Maybe 1, 2 hours if you’re lucky unfortunately. Better performance and this would be a worthy summer freshie...

Smelt this in House of Fraser today (havent seen this anywhere since its release) and I have to say that JPG has ripped off one of my all time favourite scents Thierry Mugler Cologne!!! This is a weaker version infact its Mugler Cologne watered down and the composition and longevity are awful.

After the sour, off-smelling opening is gone, what you're left with is the softest whisper of sth good, i.e. Mugler Cologne. The fact that Gaultier charged actual money for this was nothing short of a hutzpah. Thankfully, it's gone.

Nice warm mornings fragrance. Note that this is not an eau de toilette, but an aftershave lotion ("invigorating fragrance"), and thus its low performance is expected. Perfect to use before spraying Mugler's Cologne.

Most of you say longevity is weak or that it is an EDC. This is a friction parfum... are any of you rubbing it to activate the fragrance??

This fragrance is a high end bodyspray because seen it's ad and it shows it is body spray. You spray it on your body and rub then rub it.

not going to get this designers should STICK TO WHAT THEY KNOW it seems like jpg has run out of ideas
