Scandal Intense

Nothing alike like other scandals that didn’t stand out for me. But this one, it’s something else, original : it’s amazing. Best combination of my favorite flowers ylang and cardamoma. It makes it sweet without being extra gourmand. It’s subtle but yet a pleasant light and perfect mixture ; its projection was intense for first few hours and longevity great. I can see why so many people are disappointed : i first tried out of a tester from the store, the fragrance was really intense, but once i bought it and i got to try it from my new bottles. Performances were nothing alike and much weaker; perhaps because the tester in the store have « macerated » enough since there for few days already. I can’t wait for mine to reach its full potential. I would advise you to go in a store and try it out ; not to judge directly out of the new blind-ordered box.

This is a creamy vanilla with hints of flowers and a light spiciness. There’s nothing scandalous about it at all. Rather, it’s cozy and autumnal. I don’t know if my nose is broken, but I can’t understand those who say it’s vulgar. It’s definitely sweet, perhaps too sweet for those who prefer something fresher and lighter. But for me, as someone who loves vanilla, spiciness, and distinctive perfumes, this falls into the category of safe and everyday. I would have liked to see more cardamom. It’s there in the background and gives the scent a cozy vibe. It adds a very light and pleasant depth of spice, but overall the fragrance feels very safe for a JPG. The longevity is there, it lasted the whole workday but didn’t scream for attention. It’s soft, creamy, and pleasant. I can see this as my signature scent for autumn!

Better name would be So Scandal Intense because they are sharing same dna. Jpg discontinued so scandal and released scandal intense. Who knows why... So lets say so scandal could be perfect day scent and intense-night time.. Bottle is beautiful, amazing color but do not match the scent to be honest. I expected much darker, vulgar or bit witchy scent. About the scent...a lot of tuberose and bit of cardamom in the opening, then ylang ylang join the party. In the try down we got honey, vanilla and maybe sandalwood too. Drydown is simmilar to scandal absolu but not that sweet, less honey.

Update i purchased that one first time on march from a french retailer ; batch code is 50171. And performs well, is very strong projecting. I was amazed and a month later went to buy another one (as a back up), this time from a renown discounter batch code being 50361. And it’s very weak in comparison : barely there, faint, and disappears faster than a body mist. So i understand better the different ranking regarding its performance. Felt like a waste of money the second time. But overall still my signature smell, obsessed about this vanilla

This perfume has impressed me to the core. I bought it yesterday and I don't regret it for a second, despite the fact that the reviews are not impressive. It seems that there are much more notes than indicated in the pyramid. Maybe it's just how it reveals itself on me, but the aroma is incredibly lactone, languid and deep. If you sniff it, you can feel a cool ice cream. I feel like I'm eating ice cream in the garden of a thick and dark summer night, surrounded by the aroma of white flowers. I highly recommend trying it on your body.

I first smelled this fragrance when it came out, and it was an instant love. I bought it this Black Friday, and I'm obsessed!!! It's such a creamy gourmand vanilla that isn't too sugary or headache-inducing. I love the spicy note from the cardamom. Creamier sexier and more mature version of the Sandal Le Parfum, which to my nose is more powdery and lighter. I prefer the intense one for colder months or to feel cosier.

This is my favorite version of Scandal. It's a dark, sweet, floral great for evening wear. I almost get something a bit fruity on the nose in the opening. It's not a gourmand vanilla by any means, it is more of a warm floral and for me the vanilla adds a touch of creamy sweetness. I'm not entirely sure what cardamom smells like, but I seem to like all of the notes. I'm happy to have it in my collection.

This opens up a bit minty and dries down like a coconut cream caramel and I get a frangipani type of note but maybe it’s ylang yang. It lasts hours on skin and eternal on clothes, very strong so that’s great news. A nice yummy scent, a good one for any time of the day. Very gourmand and thick, and gets better once it’s first sprayed and left to sit. Best for winter and sprayed on a cozy jumper.

My newest addiction!!😍 I can smell caramel..only..i think😝 Atleast on my skin. The scent doesn't change too much,and it lasts for hours. Wish it would have lasted longer,though. Have to spray atleast one time through the day,just because i love the smell of "fresh"perfume,and love to sniff on myself. That's how gorgeous this is! Addictive!

I love this one! It’s so sweet with a coconut minty nutty caramel sweetness. It smells quite tropical to me and It’s a much better performer than the Absolu version, as that one is quite weak and close to your skin. I get a good scent bubble with the intense and it’s really unique.

Wow, I just got a sample! Very yummy fragrance, it's floral but not that floral. It's fresh but not Intense, I think the Le Perfume one in more intense than this hehe. It's fresh, floral and vanilla. A perfect combo in my nose. It's perfect! 8/10! :D

I wasn't sure about trying this as I don't like cardamom in fragrances. However I don't get the cardamom at all. This is a beautiful vanilla without being cloying. Hot lots of compliments while wearing it and the longevity was pretty good

@MeThePerson, it has absolutely nothing to do with scandal by night one which is honey heavy, and mostly similar to scandal but that’s it. Here is well blended strong vanilla paired to a strong ylang.

it is So so sweet !!! in the best way. Possibly headache inducing but I don’t even care 🐰 love love love so much i smell like. a vanilla ice cream cone, who wouldn’t want that?

If scandal absolu and so scandal had a baby this would be the one 😍 love the thickness without being too much, great scent 👌🏻

How is this perfume an Intense flanker of the original Scandal is beyond my comprehension!!! Scandal Intense has nothing in common with the original scent, this should be an entirely different perfume with a new name and a new bottle. That medium purple ridged bottle reflects in no way the summery juice contained inside. While I can’t say anything bad about this new Scandal Intense because how can one who loves ylang ylang and vanilla???? I don’t think it’s bringing anything new to the market or to my collection... It’s new for Scandal line to have ylang ylang in composition, but sweet, yellow floral, vanilla based perfumes have been done by so many other brands/designers for some years, that launching Scandal Intense feels redundant in 2025. From my personal collection, Scandal Intense is fairly similar to Prada’s 2022 Infusion d’Ylang for example. Almost same notes duplicated in here... Also, Tom Ford’s Soleil Blanc and Maison Margiela’s Beach Walk come to my mind when I think of a warm, sweet, tropical leaning vanilla, ylang ylang dominant perfume. The last two are more complex and nuanced, but you get the idea... So, is this Scandal Intense a good perfume??? Yes, it is great if you like this kind of scents. But you probably have it/something very similar already in your collection at this point in time. If you don’t, please consider testing Scandal Intense because it’s very nicely blended and has good performance. Worth at least a test to determine for yourself! As beautiful, uplifting, sunny, feminine and mass appealing Scandal Intense smells like, I don’t need it personally. I have probably 10 variations of it already since I have a deep obsession with ylang ylang and sweet vanilla in my perfumes...

I love ylang ylang, my favorite floral note we may say. Well, this is the strongest perfume I came across with ylang and it comes with tuberose, the same type as in scandal absolue, you will get it in the heart. It’s got also a green side to it, more evident than the fig green touch in absolue, so beware if you’re not up for it. Drydown on skin is vanilla and flowers, beautiful. This is NOT a blind buy safe fragrance. I really like the scent, but it’s probably too potent for me - one spray lasts days on clothing and good 8h on my skin. This is the type of tuberose-ylang combo that can upturn your stomach and give you headache. To summarize, this is dangerous also for tuberose and ylang lovers like me, it made me feel a bit nauseous when smelling it up close, despite liking it. Likely I won’t pick it up due to its exaggerated sillage and scent profile being simple and lacking sophistication. I understand we want to be scandalous, but this verges into plain vulgarity with a loud and overdosed heady floral dna. Mind you, I like the scent, not sure I would wear it outside of closed doors. Just smelt in store and I have to say, I'm glad I didn't blind buy this one. I love this line and own/have owned most at some point. This is most similar to so scandal in that 70% of the florals here are tuberose. Bubblegummy and very bright thanks to the ylang, it is sweet, feminine and warm. I get no discernable cardamom, and whilst it's clear there is vanilla, it doesn't make it too heavy for summer. This would go best in the absolut bottle as it's a very golden, radiant floral but I'm shocked they didn't lead with tuberose as I would say if you don't like that note, you'll struggle with this one as it's by far the most dominant. This smells great but verrrry similar to My Way Intense, or a mix perhaps of multiple flankers in that line. I'm disappointed as up until this point, I feel like every Scandal flanker has offered something a bit different from what else is in the market, however this one truly does feel pretty redundant to me which is a shame.

Upon spraying: honey-like sweetness, with "solar" undertones, reminescent of fragrances like Olympea or Alien Goddess; what distinguishes Scandal Intense from these 2 is a super subtle herbal / minty / medicinal quality, probably the cardamom. After letting it develop: vanillic sweetness takes over; I can sense the yellow floral aspect but it's more like an immortelle note rather than ylang-ylang (which I'm not a fan of and my mind associates with cleaning products...). The note pyramid is surprising because, although they are not listed, I think coconut & jasmine are very much present! Bottom line: distant cousin of Olympea & Alien Goddess, but less refreshing... More suitable for summer nights than summer days. I personally love this scent profile, but this particular fragrance is not necessarily unique or innovative. I would enjoy receiving this as a gift but I wouldn't go out of my way to purchase it, y'know?

This Scandal Intense is very similar to its predecessor, Scandal Absolu. It has that same creamy - almost milky - feel, with a gentle touch of sweetness. The main difference? A floral note that stands out more here. Right away, I thought of ylang-ylang. Since I already enjoy the Absolu version, I think this one is nice too, especially for summer. Personally, I feel there’s been a real improvement in the Scandal line. While I found the original overwhelmingly synthetic and overly sweet, the more recent releases seem much more interesting and well-balanced. I love the color of the bottle.

there’s something about this fragrance that i like in a way that differs from everything i’ve tried before from this designer, it smells like from a different world but at the same time it’s extremely familiar, it’s like dipping your toe in a pool of creamy, warm but not in a gross way, ylang-ylang vanilla smoothie. it’s addictive, bright and feels sophisticated without taking itself too serious. performance is incredible and i LOVE that the yellow florals are executed so well that it does not feel like perfume or medicine. this is a must get!

Not sure what to take from the varied reviews below but I get a spicy, nutty Ylang Ylang with vanilla. Ylang Ylang isn’t my favourite note but I like it here. I’m a fan of the full Scandal range but they are all quite different - I don’t see much similarity between this and the original. Performance is good, it sits on skin for hours, it’s feminine and solid. I don’t love it enough to get a full bottle but I’ve enjoyed the ride.

Upon the opening...I immediately was reminded of YSL Libre Le Parfum..I do feel the notes were a bit misleading...took about 35 minutes for it to dry down completely and omg...it gets sweeter the longer you have it on your skin. I did get the vanilla ice cream vibes...however the first 15-20 minutes were very floral...so floral, that I thought about returning it but so glad I was patient and waited for it to dry down.

The first spray is very confusing it didn’t know what it wanted to be felt like a lot of smells smacking you at once. The dry down however is much more pleasant i can definitely smell the vanilla. It leans more on the sweet side and longevity is decent last a good 5 hours. The overall smell is kind of basic nothing unique just a standard vanilla floral smells.

Totally agree with the comment below. My sister wore it yesterday and not just the room, even the hallway smelled like ice cream 🍦 !! i was in another room and still smelled it! ran to her like girl what are you wearing? And yup, it was this one. First time I fall this hard for a gourmand. It’s yummy, and actually feels real not fake or overdone. So so good!

Scandal Intense is a beautiful and warm fragrance that feels sensual without being overly heavy, perfect for the evening yet surprisingly wearable during the day. I enjoy the original, but the Intense version has more character - and this is coming from someone who rarely tolerates gourmands, this vanilla is seriously rocking my world 💛

slightly spicy, vanilla, ylang-ylang heaven!!! i’m not usually a fan of ylang-ylang, but this is the only perfume that does it right! if you love vanilla and want a funky, spicy-ish twist on it then this would definitely be the perfume for you. the bottle is incredible... a deep dark sexy purple with the gold legs lid🎆🌼🌿

A strong, sweet-floral composition. While the Absolu version is a creamy interpretation of the original, Intense is its accentuation—louder, with the potential to overwhelm. The sweetness of vanilla is dominated by ylang-ylang, with its sensual beauty and characteristic heaviness.

This is my first Scandal fragrance. Yling Ylang smell really stands out, dries down nice and sweet. Can smell pistachio a bit, but no vanilla. Very floral and nice smell. Reminds me of berry too, which is weird, considering there are no berry notes.

A Banana split with vanilla ice cream. It’s pleasant and tropical but doesn’t give main character energy like the OG Scandal edp or Scandal By Night. I like how creamy and rounded this is. It’s similar to Million Gold by Paco Rabane.

I don't know if it's me or a shop or rather a brand, but recently the majority of their fragrances smell totally the same: Scandal, Scandal Intense, Divine, La Belle Paradise Garden and so on...

Its a sweet scent so it can remind you of many other perfumes... cheap ones as well but the projection stands out and its still chic , great for a night date ...

Surprised that only a few people here noticed the coconut in this perfume. To me it's just a creamy coconut and yellow flowers in the background.

This smell exactly like alien goddess. A boring scent but great projection Edit: It's a compliment getter.

The initial spray made my nose tingle. Vanilla. Salty. But upon application, there is something fishy about this when you smell it on your skin up close. It’s as if the vanilla was in a savoury dinner meal. I do not get cardamom and usually, that’s a note I love. Quickly, those unfavourable elements dissolve. It becomes a kind of synthetic, sweet and generic scent. It is overall, a funky and untraditional vanilla because it’s not particularly gourmand. It’s a sweaty, clubbing scent. I get less honey and more ylang-ylang in this as well. The projection is very strong and I could see the longevity being pretty good. This isn’t a bad fragrance, it’s just not resonating with me. However, I think this deserves a retry because I think the things I was picking up are just... a bit odd, especially with the opening. Retry: ok, for my second time wearing this it’s not fishy. However, I just don’t love ylang-ylang enough to get a perfume where it’s such a major feature. This makes me imagine if ylang-ylang was an ice cream flavour. There is still a little sweatiness too. It’s fine, but I have reached the same conclusion: it just doesn’t really resonate with me.

I am not sure how to feel about this. Part of it I like, and part of it I hate. I tried it a few times in summer and it's too strong and harsh for me. There is something in it that feels abrasive to my nose, but only up close. If I keep the sprays very light and far away from my face, and only catch whiffs of the sillage, then it's a beautiful slightly tropical ice cream vanilla scent. Whenever I catch a whiff I get the urge to bury my face in the scent, only to instantly regret it. I am going to try it again in the colder months. But for now, it's not wearable for me.

This one smells quite bubblegummy on me. I don’t truly hate it, but don’t like it either. Vanilla is a tricky note for me and to it’s credit, vanilla note in this one is the better kind. Overall it is too sweet and quite one-dimensional to my liking. Bears zero resemblance to the original - it seems to be their shtick, but I don’t like how JPG keeps on releasing fragrances marketed as flankers for their backbone scents instead as standalone ones, when there really isn’t any hints of a shared DNA. It just makes purchasing really confusing and annoying.

Someone dropped ylang-ylang into a tub of half melted vanilla ice cream. I have to admit, I'd rather eat it rather than smell like it but I can see the overall appeal - there are plenty of similarly oppulent and heavy JPG perfumes I like better though. Scandal Intense does perform outstandingly well on my skin, the sillage was quite noticeable 7 hours after I applied it (with a light hand, too!). If you like yellow florals and gourmand-y bases then this will be a good scent for you.

According to the JPG website, I should like this more. But, surprisingly, I prefer Le Parfum now (after 1 year not using it, so it got stronger), which IMHO has more personality. This is more generic and has this plastic scent in the dry down (I guess it depends on your skin chemistry). Shame, I wanted to love it. But the ads and commercials are great, I give JPG that.

I have no idea why they didn't launch it in fall. It may be okay for cooler spring days, but not for summer. It's okay, but again, nothing groundbreaking. And it smells a bit like plastic in the dry down. People saying it's similar to So Scandal apparently have no idea how So Scandal smells.

I'm a 90's baby. This fragrance to me feels like what I imagine would be going out dancing in the 80's. It's not for me, it's a little loud, but I still think it's well executed. I don't think negatively of it, it's just not my cup of tea.

This is a very creamy yellow floral scent. Because of the creaminess it kind of reminds me of a shower product, like a very strong smelling shower gel.

Smell close to black opium idk what note give the similarities but the sillage is weak

I have a sample. This is the impression from the first try. The scent is well blended - did not come out as separate notes, but as a whole. Without looking at the notes, it gave me more of fruity leaning than floral impression. Not really gourmand, however. Actually, I wouldn't have described it with any of the notes from the official list. I don't get yellow flowers either, though maybe that's where the tart fruitiness comes from. It aroused a tingly, bubbly and lighthearted sensation in the body and mind - like the tipsy sensation when finishing a glass of sparkling wine too quickly. This scent has zest and projection that grabs attention. It sparkles FUN around it. The state of mind it gives is lighhearted, bubbly, whimsical, silly. Being open to adventure, like anything can happen. Not excessively juvenile, however. Could easily become cloying if oversprayed. Too much could probably trigger a headache in some. She dances on the verge of vulgarity like a drunken ballerina - she teeters but does not fall. Myself being more of a contemplative introvert, this is not really my cup of tea. Gives me the same feeling as after drinking too many glasses of that sweet strawberry wine with too much birthday cake. Too much laughing with that one chaotic but fun friend. Like, that was fun, but now I really need something solid. This does not stop me from appreciating the scent in its own class.
