V.O. Version Originale

There are actually two EDT versions of this fragrance. They both come in a black plastic casing but one has polished black metal trim and the other has gold trim. It has been noted that the gold version has a slightly darker coloration and is a little "deeper", but supposedly not a significant difference. There is also an EDP version, which is rather uncommon, but essentially just a slightly more concentrated version of the EDT. Save your $$ and go for the EDT. This is a rather green, musky woody/floral. While vintage Estee Lauder Metropolis is similar, also touching on a rich earthy kind of accord, VO is more potent and floral. It's dark enough to almost impart a mossy character, yet there is no moss in this. There is also a semi-sweet side to it as well, that helps brighten it a bit. Very good sillage and longevity. I have samples of Halston Z-14 and 1-12, but find little in common. Maybe their vintage versions are closer? The flacon is housed inside a double inverted trapezoidal shaped plastic casing that one might mistaken for a miniature garbage container. Very odd. One could purchase just the flacon as a "recharger" to swap into the casing. There always seems to be some of this fragrance up for sale on that auction site, with prices mostly in the $99~$200 range (50ml to 100ml). If you wait long enough some bottles can be had for a little cheaper.

If the nights had a perfume , it would be this one . Brilliant , dark and mysterious : the spicy notes of geranium, lavender and carnation combinate with the floral ones of jasmine on a sparkling cedar note at the base with a musk a little dirty ,giving it another punch . Really sensual and a complicated one with all its glittering facets, i always feel dizzy smelling it remembering all the good times , wearing it Typical of the glamourous 80ies , it's the swansong of those years ...

Oh lord !! Amazing exquisite natural woody smell, good that not too much talk about it so I can back up while it is still cheap 😁😁

A great scent from the 80's. It start off quite strong. Give it about an hour to settle down. Then it is simply such a great concoction of notes. Quite strong for an Edt. The drydown turns into a scent similar to Lattafa Khamrah. At least on my skin. This is one of those Lost Scents. There is an Angry Lavender here.

I can't understand these smoky perfumes. Who would want to wear something like this in public?

Got a mini of this 80s forgotten fragrance just to see if It really deserved the high prices on ebay. If 84 was its release date, I'd say Boucheron copied it all the way. Their drydowns are pretty close, both full of a powdery and rich accord, slightly sweet (I see both share some notes as jasmine, carnation and ylang). The main difference is that VO opens super harsh/sour (perhaps Lavender+neroli?), with a citrusy old school smell. I didn't see patchouli listed, but It's as if It was mixed at the top notes. It's a love-hate opening. If you don't like this kind of smell, you have to wait patiently 10 min to let it go. boucheron, on the other way, starts pleasantly lemony and bright and although moves to the powdery level quickly, you can always smell It fighting with the smooth and sweet powder accord. That's why I think VO is powerful than Boucheron, It lacks some refreshing notes and can be a bit cloying. Longevity and sillage are great on my skin. In the same vein, but fresher, I also recommend Van Gils (classic). To sum it up, if you already have Boucheron, you don't need to pay almost US$ 200 on VO.

One of the most peculiar, enchanting offerings from the 80s, Sinan V.O. smells like everything and nothing like an 80s powerhouse: it is stuffed to the gills with every muscled, masculine floral, your carnation, geranium, lavender, doused with a generous helping of black pepper just short of sneezy, lending a sullen ashy quality when all of these folded and layered together. However, there is a twist: white, spring flowers discerned through the haze. Similar to Czech & Speake No 88 and Van Cleef Arpels Pour Homme in that its got this gothic pall, V.O. reveals a pensive lily of the valley further into its heart, perhaps a bit forlorn and bruised, but showing resilience. It unfurls from the winter dusk to be basked in vernal sunlight. What a plot twist! Still ashy and somewhat morose, its delicacy is a paradox that compels one to closer to solve the puzzle, and then it fades into a languorous cedar and musk. Darkness and light, people. That's what it's all about, and it's encapsulated in this strange, oblique pair of rhombuses.

One of those "80s power" scents, but nothing in this one struck me as especially unique. I sampled it a couple years ago or so and it reminded me of a scent I already had, perhaps vintage Z-14. Whatever it was, I had no interest in trying to track down a bottle of this one for under $40, which is usually my limit for this kind of scent. If I can find my old sample I'll try it again and update. I remember it being really dense, particularly for the first hour or thereabouts.

Offensive violence! This is offensive! This is quite rough and violent. The woody, musky, lavender mix is just offensively rough. the cedar, sandalwood, pepper, carnation, and geranium are there and kept to support the strength of this blend. Very masculine indeed and i see this as the scent of "Boyka" in a suit and i don't mean Scott in a suit, no way... it's BOYKA

Just gave my arm a spritz from my vintage bottle I have had it in my collection since the mid eighties I must say I remember this being very sweet back then Now it seems to have toned itself down to more of a walk in a forest olfactory sensation for me A Forrest with pine oakmoss & earthy smells vaporizing in the air after a rainstorm

This fragrance used to be one of my dad's favorites! Even though he passed away almost 10 years ago, I still keep his back up bottle, sniff it from time to time to remember him..

Even though there’s no oakmoss in the notes listed, it is impossible not to detect it in this fragrance. Very 80s, very masculine and absolutely gorgeous scent profile.
