Boum Candy Land

So, its been almost 3 years since I first bought it. I wanted a sweet perfume, that could serve as a dupe for Tommy hilfinger pear blossom (the BEST whipped cream note ever,sadly discontinued), and possibly also scratch my itch for how prada candy made me feel in high-school. Sprayed the bottle with reckless abandonment, wore it non stop for like 2 months (with the amount of perfume I have, that is unusual), wore it on dates, had men basically roll their eyes back over it (insane). About halfway, I started worrying I'd run out (insane, it cost like 5 euros. I can afford that). I ended up buying prada candy(for cheap) Don't hate me, but I use it not wanting to run out of this one, because I prefer this. Upon realising this, I came here to write this review. This scent is great, absolutely worth the cost. Its a warm and soft scent, with those delicious milk and caramel notes. Those show up on me the strongest, and I like those the best. Longevity is pretty decent. Bottle survives being tossed around in my bag. Not too sweet or headachy, I don't get pink sugar vibes, just milk and caramel. Love it in fall and winter, love it in general. Going to repurchase bc it's insane to not want to finish a bottle that's still less then 10 euros.

mmmm... toffee!! Loving that toffee aroma. toffee, milky cotton candy, vanilla, sandalwood --all of my favorites! I really love how there's an actual cotton candy note in this. It's very sweet, indeed. But I am so surprised how cheap this is, cause it could become one of my favorites, easily. The lasting power isn't so great. but that's to be expected. This is another really good Jeanne Arthes fragrance. I'm a big fan of Sexy Me No1, Private room, and more! I used to have the Boum Vanille and was not as impressed, as it was more so apple and carnival sweet smelling. This is also sort of false advertising. I'm not really getting candy, but sweet desserts! Very foody, indeed. Once this dries down, it's sooo lovely. Maybe some might find it juvenille, but i don't care! milky, toffee, cotton candy and vanilla goodness! This is right up my alley! And I recommend it to those w ho aren't sure. If you like gourmands, you can't go wrong. This is also quite unique smelling, that's also why I love it. The bottle is kinda tacky, but i kind of like the purple color of the bottle! Yayy! Very pleased with this!

Love love love this. One of the excellent cheapies, great scent for great value and good amount. It's a go perfume, you spray it anytime during the day. Sure it doesn't last long, but the gentle sweet smell after hours is still there and when you hug someone or you're just close, they compliment it. Honestly idk where's the toffee in there, but there's definitely the og orbit chewing gums scent (the pink tutti frutti ones), then just candy and sweets, cotton candy marshmallows and something like wannabe- fruits, maybe little spring of orange and apple. Smells fresh and sweet at the same time, powdery and gourmand, little bit of lactonic. I just love it. It's cheap, yes, but it's beyond what you can expect for such a price, I just love it. Reminds me of just a bit more expensive perfume- Hollister festival nite.

I got this fragrance very cheap, for 5 euros. Picked it up because I love milk in my perfumes, it feels very cuddly and warm. This fragrance... I've worn it almost every single day since I got it 4 months ago. I don't want to run out? On a rainy day I got complimented in public transport, telling me I smelled like vanilla, soo good. I did not realize it was me with that sillage, although I did smell it. Lasts for hours on me personally. A love. Sillage is normally close, but that would be the rainy day effect. Its not a "you have to touch me to smell me" sort of scent, but if you aren't close to eachother you won't smell it. When giving friends a hug they tell me I smell nice. They don't usually comment on my perfume(they dont care for perfume), so that's a big compliment. Tldr: recommend

Oh my God, I love this so so much! <3 I do not own the original bonbon -just the bonbon couture, for which I can attest that these two aren't similar.Boum is so beautiful and yummy, soft, creamy and lovely,, with delicate puffs of perfume projecting softly from your skin, like a caress <3 It also reminds me sth from my childhood - some miniature rubbery plastic scented babies, that smelled soooo nice, and in my late thirties I was so reminiscent of their lovely scent. Well, boum candy is very close to that and I love it even more for that !

It reminds me of 1 of Ralph Lauren’s perfume back in 2000s - Ralph Hot. It’s a nice perfume to be worn at any time. It’s toffee and black currant is outstanding to my nose. The weather in Malaysia is hot and humid, somehow this perfume is OK for this climate. I wear this to work & also casual events. Jeanne Arthes indeed is a luxurious parfume at affordable price. Love it! ♥️

On me, more mature than the design would suggest, like the other Boum fragrances. Thankfully, the vanilla in it is of the woodier persuasion, less candy-sweet than the name would imply. It also takes a back seat to milky sandalwood with just a bit of currant and caramel. The overall effect is a comforting one, but not childish.

ace! sweet but somehow more serious and complex than it's brother sweet lollipop (another fav). notes are well blended so that it's not easy to point out one (t least to my nose/skin chemistry), nonetheless it's super nice during cold days, it really warms me up. beautiful purple bottle.

This perfume surprised me with how identical it is to Bonbon by Viktor&Rolf. However, it's now 8 months in, and the alcohol scent is way too strong for me. It actually overpowers the sweetness of the perfume to me. It feels more like a FFM than a perfume.

This is a BonBon dupe, they are near identical. For under £10 this is an absolute winner even if longevity could be better. I don’t find BonBon that long wearing either so like other reviewers I’d say get this one instead.

I'm obsessed with this. Got it for like $10 on pharmapacks and figured if I didn't like it I could always give it away...however I love it and it has quickly become one of my favorite fragrances (and I love the price!)

Candyland is gorgeous! It's very similar to Bonbon, I just wish it had the same longevity! Otherwise I'd buy 10 bottles of it being so well priced compared with Bonbon. I also like the cute bottle

Smells amazing ! , very soft (kinda reminds me of coconut soft) , sweet toffee with a very light touch of freshness. I can detect fruits but not really a specific one, more like it smells fruity.

This perfume smells so nostalgic and sweet, love the ingredient combination it gives a clean and fresh feel! For the price I think it's a good catch eventho it doesn't last long!

A happy blind-buy for me, but my sister hates it. We have some common "loves" but also a few polarizing opinions and this is definitely one of the latter. I have to say I enjoy the nondescript (to me) rubbery sweetness of this perfume, specially as it dries down. The opening is very floral and fresh, not amazing but I found it very refreshing in hot weather. It only takes a few minutes to blend with my skin and create a sort of dreamy, fantasy scent. I agree with the similarities to Bonbon: they dry down identically, but to me they are still worlds apart as far as quality of the scent profile goes. If Bonbon is a gourmand, to me Candy Land isn't; this is so artificial it reminds me of virtually nothing - and that's where the fantasy element comes in: the absence of edible / realistic notes really send imagination in a different direction; it brings pastel colors to mind, fluffy clouds and candy castles, fairy tales and sweet dreams. It is such a fresh and uplifting sweet floral, dreamy scent. I enjoyed it a lot during spring and summer. I don't intend to buy this again as I prefer other scents, but for the price point it is an amazing dupe for V&R Bonbon.

This smells like Bon Bon with the Britney Fantasy fragrant vanilla, and it dries down creamy-musky, not woody or simply sugary, like Pink Sugar. Could be the European Sweet Like Candy/Fantasy if it wasn't so faint! I have to overspray to get any staying power. Strangely enough, though I don't feel any sillage- it is there, and I always get a ton of compliments. A male supermarket cashier actually held the line one time, while I was looking on my phone for photos of the perfume. It is that feminine and adorable! Not cloying or toothache sweet at all, just very tasty and floral-feminine at the same time. I can definitely feel the super sweetened orange blossom apart from the vanilla. It is a surprisingly complex fragrance for such a cheapie, and again, it would be a great product if it wasn't so damn short-lasting! I got this as a blind buy and would love to try other perfumes, such as Sultane Nuit Fatale, but I fear they'll be as quick fading as this one.

I am sorry I was unfair to you when I said you smell very cheap and synthetic. I am starting to be afraid of that I am judging perfumes based on it's pricetag since I started sniffing expensive designer fragrances and I really hope it's not the case becouse if it is, I'm going to be really mad about myself. That's just stupid and unffair. Whenever I sniff the bottle of JA Candyland I actually immediately think "well, that smell really nice". I don't know how Bon Bon smells like or if Candyland is supposed to be a dupe. All I know is this one smells very girly, it's not sophisticated fragrance but its very nice, sweet fruits with hint of milky toffee. I couldn't pick it at first but now toffee is definitely here, but not all the time. Only sometimes you will notice it. For the price it's a very nice fragrance for young girls who like sweet scents Oh and I should also mention that the longevity of this is great. It's a good cheapie

It’s pretty much what is says – a candy. Sweet, a bit powdery in the dry down, delightful caramel and vanilla. I even get similar vibes as from Poison Girl Eau de Toilette, only sweeter, with mellow milk and melon notes instead of zesty citruses. When I crave something with caramel in it, it’s a great quick fix. Caramel isn’t in the notes, so it didn’t show up when I searched my wardrobe on Fragratica for perfumes with caramel in them, but then, being called Candy Land it’s a no-brainer when you are in the mood for caramel. Maybe simple and linear, but very enjoyable. Lasts more or less 6 hours – longer on my hair and clothes. Doesn’t hold a candle to its sister Boum Vanille Sa Pomme d’Amour in this department. Still, fun and affordable. The bottle boosts my mood just by looking like a purple lollipop.

I reviewed this when I got it, think I deleted it, maybe it got downvoted, who knows? ANYWAY... This smells SUPER CLOSE to Bonbon by Viktor&Rolf, except Bonbon has more of a cedar/resinous dry down (compared to the milky caramel musk in this) and Candy Land has more sticky cotton candy and "body-splash-style" fruit in the opening. There are a few other subtle nuances here and there as well but the resemblance is absolutely uncanny. Initial spray is warm, SUPER sweet pink syrup with citrus rind & tangy black currant, as it softens I get a lot of orange blossom, vanilla, and sandalwood, with a hint of milky caramel and cool, watery melon.

so nice and sweet it makes me smile. childish? yes. trashy? yes. enjoyable? HELL YES. it opens up like a fruity bombon but soon smoothes in delicious toffee, caramel and vanilla smoothed out by milk so it's not overpowering sweet but rather milk shake smooth. drys down into pure amber. longevity sucks but it was predictable. i enjoy it anyway and am eager to try the other two Boums as well. usually i dont comment on the box but this one is super cute - literally eye candy. the bottle is cute too but the atomizer sucks - it doesn't spray but literally squirt you all wet - so take care it leaves wet spots on your skin and clothes

Milky toffee throughout and blackcurrant jello – no fresh fruit tartness. Perhaps some fluff from candyfloss. However, it’s well balanced and not cloying to me. Sometimes, sugar over sugar is perfectly fine! There’s a perfumey, flowery note that prevents Candy Land from becoming pure food; but I feel this precise note could be headache-inducing, a little bit like 80’s lipstick scent. Smelled from afar, it’s fun and easy to wear.

I love this one. Sweet toffee, a bit strong at the beginning, but the drydown is just milky, yummy goodness. I thought this one would be only for cold weather, but I've worn it in hot days and it went fine. But there's nothing like spraying this on your scarf in a cold afternoon so you can keep sniffing it for hours. There's a hint of sandalwood in the drydown, and the longevity is not bad either. And it's a real bargain.

Very orange and melon heavy on the drydown. The cotton candy starts coming through after a few minutes, but the fruitiness is just a little bit more tart than I would like. I sadly don’t get any toffee or milk. Has minimal sillage and lasts less than an hour. Saw that this was compared to Burberry Her which I find much more floral heavy and not fruity at all on me.

This is Viktor & Rolf "Bonbon". I have both Candy Land and Bonbon and I can't tell any difference. So save your money and don't buy both because it's exactly the same according to me :( It's sweet and yummy, with a sour citrus smell, very lovely. But no need to have both perfumes in my opinion, I would suggest to just buy Boum Candy Land because it's cheaper.

It's the milky note coming through so strong that makes me not 100% love this. It makes me think of children's lunches, which is not something I want to smell like. I'm not ready to completely give up on it yet but I'll probably wind up giving it away. There are so many other inexpensive fragrances that do the same thing better IMO.

un dia despues y si me acerco mucho al brazo lo sigo oliendo. locura para que solo salga 30k (pesos arg). es rico, pero bastante sintetico y no tiene practicamente nada de estela. no es tan "candy" le siento mucho mas la leche el caramelo y el melon. siento que cambia mucho segun la piel. pero repito, 30k. probablemente lo compre.

I tried this at my local hyper market that also sells food. I forgot about it and went to buy my groceries and through my face mask I got this scent of pastries and baked goods and I realised it was this perfume, not the food I was buying! Surprisingly good!

Freshner... fruity summer coconuty synthetic sweet punch. I dont Smell so much vanilla. Reminds vacations on the beach, and a sugary tropical piña colada drink. Im so happy for not blind buy bon bon VR.

bought it bc of good opinion about Jeanne Arthes’ Tea Time à Paris collection and sadly got disappointed. at first it smells ok (but still not anywhere near great), but then evolves in very unpleasant direction that reminds me of a toilet deodorant. regardless of different notes, imo it’s very similar to Pink Sugar Lollipink, which gives me the same vibe:( i think it’s the synthetic black currant note that overshadows everything else (I don’t get much other than that note and maybe a tiny bit of cotton candy). I will try to give Candy Land another chance after some time, but tbh I don’t think I will be wearing this. at least it was cheap. along with this I also got a bottle of Rainbow version, which imo is noticeably better, but still not even close to how good Tea Time ones smell. waiting for original Boum, Boum Savon and Boum Cherry Blossom. if I won’t like any of them, I at least have cute bottles&boxes collection, bc they look just amazing

Very sharp sweet syrupy. If you like caramel , toffee sweet kinda perfume close to Bath and Body Work products. You will like this. Some notes just distracted me is the sharp toffee note is not well acceptable but the rest was great. This is long lasting power and have very great projection performance. Overall, the price is so affordable. The bottle is cute and the perfume sprayer is great.

Blind buy based on reviews and cute packaging. At first spray, you only get alcohol. It takes a few minutes to settle down and you can finally smell something sweet and very generic. Smells like cheap children fragrances. Seems more like a body splash, not really like an Eau de Parfum. Not bad but not great, just OK.

É um perfume bem doce, infantil e enjoativo. O nome do perfume já diz tudo, mas eu decidi arriscar e não gostei muito. Esse perfume tem a mesma vibe sintética dos perfumes da linha EGEO da O Boticário. Eu usava ele para deixar minha cama e quarto cheirosos e só. A fixação é ok e projeção também e acho o preço bem ok.

Sweet fruity bonbons as the name reveals. Very Cotton candy, sugary sweet and fruity - this is all i get from this "Boum". The intensive notes according to my nose are - cotton candy, black currant/fruit and musk - a little bit suffocating. Actually a lot of suffocating! - not my type of fragrance.

Syntheticly sweet with a sophisticated twist. There’s an Avon scent that smells like this I swear. It’s giving me a major case of nostalgia, but I can’t quite place it. Not my favourite, but I can see why people enjoy it

As the name suggests, it is a perfume for teenagers and for people who like sweet and very light aromas. My niece loved it

Blind bought this one, because the reviews were very promising. It reminds me of some dolls and toys I had when I was younger. You know like a rubber/plasticky barbie or my little pony figures from the past, but a bit sweeter. It's a no for me.

It's intensely sweet, headache inducing and synthetic. Smells mostly of cotton candy and something bitter and sharp almost like cough syrup. I don't really get the toffee note, smells a bit like Aquolina Pink Sugar but more bitter.

I dont know if its ginger or diesel or petroleum or alcohol in the first spray but i dont wanna smell it again, 1/10

Projection is good but longevity is poor. Lasts around 2 hours on clothes.

Starts off as very synthetic sweet and develops into melon with still a few lingering synthetic sweet notes.

I am new to this site and came across this brand while searching for gourmand scents! I immediately ordered some BOUM fragrances, since they seem good value, although I ordered them all "blind" based on the great reviews I read here. According to the Jeanne Arthes site, here is the description of this scent: "Cupcakes and pop cakes, sweets and macaroons, madeleines, and marshmallows ... she rushes into the bakery and her eyes twirl in front of all this confectionery ... Do not resist anymore, enter this universe of treats with Candy Land, the new extension to the range of best selling Boum, for young and mischievous girls. A sweet and vanilla fragrance reminiscent of small delicacies at the end of the oven. The bottle and the case of Boum Candy Land evoke the shapes and colors of all these sweets that we like to taste." Top note: Mandarin, Blackcurrant syrup, Hot milk Heart note: Orange blossom, Melon blossom, Caramel Base note: Sandalwood, Cotton candy, Vanilla At first, I found it smelled odd right after spraying it on with a lot of alcohol, but after a short while, it turned into a delicious, soft, yummy, gourmand scent. It is VERY sweet. I am not sure which notes I am smelling, but it is definitely candy- and bakery-like. It does not last very long, but I did get faint wafts of it over an hour later. A little bit girly, but very delightful. The bottle is very cute and again, comes with the unusual pin/nozzle.

So glad Boum Candy land has been added onto the list. This was a blind buy and I have a tiny bit of juice left as I wear this often. Candy land is like stepping into a colourful(think of unicorn pastel shades) sweet shop. Initial spray I get a yummy warm, inviting delectable scent that comes from the pearly white part of a swirl lollipop.(a bit vanilla creamy).. As Candy land wears on the melon and toffee notes keep the scent bright and glee. And then an hour into it there is a slight toffee/nutty/vanilla spun sugar to comfort. The citrus scents played nice here. They were barley detectable. Is this a sweet scent? YES, but not in a sharp syrupy or artificial way. Candy land's sweetness gears towards a toasty and glittering embrace. What a whimsical scent. I'm 40 yet I feel this fragrance brings my inner child out but never too childish. I get a lot of compliments with Candyland..(more so than some of my super niche $$$ scents)... Projection: Low to Moderate Longevity: Low (2-3 hours before it's time to reapply). For under $10, what a freaking steal. Simply lovely and wears close to the skin.

Better than I expected, honestly. Definitely not childish or juvenile, it’s sweet yes but it has much more in common with scents like JS Fancy and V&R BonBon. Not candy like (as many others have said already). On me, the toffee is the most prominent note and it is nice and creamy. Not super strong, but I keep getting a nice whiff now and then. The musk and sandalwood keeps it nicely “grown up” and black currant always plays well with my chemistry. I don’t get the melon at all which is probably good. I don’t even really get “bakery” honestly, on me it is just a nice gourmand.... not particularly reminiscent of any pastry or anything like that, just a very pleasant feminine, sweet gourmand. For the price, I am pleasantly surprised at how nice it smells. I have bought a few Jeanne Arthes fragrances recently, always checking reviews here first, and so far they have all panned out! I am sure the longevity isn’t going to be great, but for $10 I will put some in a purse spray and bring along!

Candy Land is very nice and yummy. A little chewy and a little milky. I'm hesitant to say I love it because I feel like it's still growing on me with every wear. I would say it's my favorite of the Boum line. It's not anything new, but the toffee changes things up a bit. It's toffee vanilla berry sweet with a nice sandalwood base. The sandalwood smooths everything out. It's definitely not as sugary or candy sweet as I expected. It reminds me of Cacharel Amor Amor, or Avon Secret Fantasy Midnight (not dupes, just reminders).

Jeanne Arthes'fragrances are miracles because they smell classy and expensive, and are so reasonably priced. You could easily collect all of them for the cost of one ritzy perfume. Boum Candyland is a super-star. Sugary and sweet, and somehow floral and girly at the same time. A comforting, comfortable scent laden with milk, sweet vanilla, and fruit, floating on a cloud of orange blossoms. Nostalgic notes, like a young girl playing dress-up, but mature and lady-like too. A bargain treasure.

I blind bought this over a year ago, when it had no reviews, but I love JA perfumes. And c'mon-- the name was Candy Land and I'm a gourmand freak. This is great! Adorable and sweet! Like orange toffee with hints of milk and melon. It's fruitier than I expected, and the juice is rather weak... but for the price it's adorable and 100% worth it. FUN! Now that Deb Martinez mentioned it.... this does smell like BonBon! I can't believe I never put that together! <3

This should be called pastry land,not Candy Land. This is pastries,not lollipops. I definitely smell some macaroons in there. Candy Land reminds me of a French pastry,which conjures up a nice image for me. This is playful and sweet,but not overly so. It's gentle,but sort of smells like a scented candle. But overall,a pleasant scent,for a great price!

I can't say what this reminds me of but it's nostalgic enough to nearly bring a tear to my eye. Bought a bottle while PMS'ing and it's just adorable. Not edible at all, nothing natural about it. But it feels like childhood dreams bottled... like glittery lip smackers and hair conditioner spray and scented toys... or something akin to that.
