Boum Sweet Lollipop

If Al-Rehab's Soft had a sister that iced gingerbread houses at the north pole. After requesting a very sweet perfume from a sales associate and bearing through a dozen designer white florals with a shy downtrodden vanilla or some inedible fruit thrown into the generic mix, she pulled this one out warning me of how sickly sweet it was. As a gourmand lover I wasn't fazed by this description and wow I was surprised! Firstly the name of this perfume is wildly misleading! It is a spiced creamy gourmand, not straight sugar and maybe fruit like the name suggests. The opening is bright citrus and vanilla, youthful and sweet. The citrus of choice in here being an orange means it is ripe and juicy not zesty and sharp like the strong dose of lemon you get in Al-Rehab's Soft. Quickly after the cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger all come screeching one after fighting for dominance. It's here where I almost lost hope in that counter having anything for me. But then at the dry down real magic happens. The spices quite down and marry with the vanilla and sugar so beautifully, with the orange dancing coyly at the beginning of every waft. The creaminess of the vanilla in the base really seal the deal for this fragrance as a gourmand. Truly edible like a gingerbread cookie with all it's iced glory. My favourite thing about this fragrance is the combination of the ginger and orange, lending an almost floral sparkle to an otherwise dense scent profile. This lasts long on my skin but is very intimate, which I don't mind for this scent as it's the kind of cozy warm and nostalgic scent you would war for your own enjoyment. Shame about the bottle not having a lid tho... Over all unique scent, very cheap, longevity is moderate at best, and is very sweet and it delivers on all the promised notes which seems to be a rarity for perfumes these days so an overall win for me. 7/10

Boy oh boy do I love this, it definitely evokes the memories of childhood and this is a great gourmand scent! And it only cost me $13.00 USD! Sweet lollipop does smell very much like pink sugar but with a orange gingery hint. It's like going to a fair during the winter or a Christmas market. Surrounded by all the candy floss,candy orange slices,gingerbread and cinnamon cookies you can imagine! If you're into sweets give this a try! Excuse me while I try and find something sweet to snack on..

I am generally impressed with this house for their well blended perfumes at a bargain price. This fragrances is softer than i usually buy but I spray liberally for a more intense experience. This one dries down to a spicy vanilla. I also detect candy floss, orange, caramel and ginger. Moderate sillage and lasting power.

I have 5 Boum fragrances and this is my favortie yet with Vanille a close second. Upon the first spray, it‘s not very impactful, but in a moment it soaks in and a deep, comforting caramelly smell lingers and is really lovely. Where I am, it’s a hard perfume to find, but I hope to always be lucky enough to have a bottle.

I am wearing this sweet confection today. Very similar to Pink Sugar but it has a tad more cinnamon in the dry down. It is cool and raining out today and i feel as though I am wrapped in a cozy pink fuzzy blanket. Comfort and sweetness in a bottle. I just LOVE this one.

Grab this while you can! Really nice cheapie. It is very similar to Pink Sugar but with a bit more spice and orange. Pretty decent projection, longevity is a few hours but you can afford to reapply often. It's a sweet, comforting, cozy, warm scent.

This parfume is absolutely amazing. Smells like gingerbread & very warm. The dry down is delicious & toasty. It stays on my shirts for days! I wear this in cool weather. Jeanne Arthes is indeed a luxurious parfume at affordable price. Love it! ♥️

This fragrance is a very good dupe of Pink Sugar, with the same sweetness.The cotton candy note is the most intensive, but the spicy, and gingerbread notes are also noticeable. Longevity and sillage are quite strong.

This is very addictive to me, perfect for softening down maturer perfumes,gonna buy another bottle soon! Its gourmant sweet but something gives it a delicious addictive edge but cant pinpoint what exactly it is.

This smells a lot like PINK SUGAR with some gingerbread cookie. Very nice if you like fragrances that are sweet, sugary treats. Mmmmm.

I picked this up at TJM while visiting family in Iowa. If it had been any cheaper, they'd have paid me! Seriously, it was just a couple of bucks! The box is super cutesy- looks like a toy should come inside. Although I almost always keep my fragrances in their boxes, I have NO choice with this one... the atomizer cap thingy (the part you push down to spray) won't go on the tube! I have to hold it in place to spray it! And I bought the box sealed so maybe that's why it was so super incredibly cheap. Anyway... I know I've smelled Pink Sugar before but it didn't make much of an impression on me, so I can't remember if they smell alike or not, but it DEFINITELY smells like cotton candy. I do get a little tiny bit of orange and unlike most others, I do get a bit of a bakery scent (cookie-ish) which is noticeable but not strong. It gets a little powdery - but not baby powder - more like powdered drink mix. It's like if a couple of Bayer orange baby aspirins and a cookie got mixed in with the cotton candy as it was being made. The vanilla isn't "stand-alone" to me; it's part of the cookie recipe. If I had blind bought this based on the notes, I'd have expected something a bit more like Lolita Lempicka L + cotton candy. And I'd have been disappointed. This is a super-sweet, fun, *wear-it-for-yourself* scent. It lasts for a couple of hours - longer if you spray your clothes. I haven't worn it enough to know what the projection is like, but I seriously doubt it enters a room before you do and sticks around after you leave. To be honest, I will probably end up giving it to my elementary school aged niece. There's nothing wrong with it (besides the &$@#% sprayer) - it's a nice scent - but I usually reach for CK One Shock or Dame's Chocolate Man instead of this when I want my candy-scent fix. Cheers!

Warm, mostly cinnamon perfume, perfect for winter! It was a blind buy for me and looking at the box design I expected something much much sweeter but it was more mature kind of sweet with a little "dusty" kick to it probably coming from the nutmeg note blended with vanilla. At first I was disappointed and frankly I thought it was an "aunty" kind of smell because it's heavier and more purple (synesthesia people will know), dreamy...but nowawadays I do appreciate it more. Orange is...well It's just a ghost of an orange really. A VERY faint sour tingle somewhere in the background, very close to the skin (at least on me). Also very faint ginger sharpness, almost non-existent. The cinnamon is fronting all the way through. I guess the overall sweetness is coming from cotton candy & vanilla. Drydown sets on mostly vanilla and obviously cinnamon, it's not going anywhere! I think this smell is pretty unisex although I'd say 65% fem. It's my Christmas scent, I spray some at home, it's creating a solid vibe here.

This is so far from classy and pure and authentic, but I'm SO GLAD I found it! Many years ago I bought a little oil roll-on which smells of orange and vanilla - a creamsicle, basically. Then before I knew what a trash human he is, I loved the same smell in Jeffree Star's lipsticks. Searched and searched for a perfume with a similar scent, but everything was too... real. Real citrus and real musky vanilla. But THIS, this is the synthetic sugar bomb I've been searching for. It's quite zesty and spicey on first application, but dries down into a feelgood creamy orange that's synthetic AF, and utterly wonderful. It's a keeper. Not going to wear it for important business meetings, but for a quiet Tuesday at home or before bed it's marvellous. Proper ice cream joy.

A blind buy based on the ingredients. It doesn’t really smell like pink sugar or Gale Hayman’s Cotton Candy to me (I own both) as twolatter ones don’t open with the orange and cinnamon-y notes. Lollipop smells like a Christmas market: right away I remembered ginger breads, hot vine and all the winter fest’s vibe altogether. Which is quite fantastic - I don’t see why someone wouldn’t enjoy this nostalgic smell. Perfect for fall and winter, when the anticipation of New Year is in the air. My husband likes it too

I paid £6 for this and am really enjoying it, but if you can't get this and already have Pink Sugar, you honestly are not missing overly much: just a different opening note (gingery spices that work way better than I could have guessed with candyfloss), and the spicy part of the fragrance sadly doesn't hang about for long. Oh and minus the licorice. Am tempted to try layering this or Pink Sugar with a very spicy fragrance now as I am really surprised how much I enjoy the opening on this and how well it works.

Imagine Pink Sugar with an orange and cinnamon top note, which fades away pretty fast, and you'll know exactly what this one smells like. It's a nice scent alright, but if, like me, you already have Pink Sugar, this isn't worth getting. Plus the fact that I've grown tired of Pink Sugar lately doesn't help me appreciate this more. This was one of my not so successful blind buys not because it's not a pleasant scent, but because I really didn't need it.

It starts out with an intensive mixture of orange and ginger, then ten minutes later spices, and then after 20 minutes just.. cotton candy. I don't hate it, but that's not what I wanted. If you like Star Nature's Cotton Candy scent, you'll love this , smells really similar (and this lasts much longer, 7hours+), but if you're interested because of the ginger bread, well, it might not appear on you, you should just know that.

when sprayed, it gives a christmasy scent. very sweet. once it dries it smells like sweet hand soap. you can definitely smell the gingerbread it in though !

Well, I sprayed this in cold temperature and it's exactly like Soft by Al Rehab. I only remembered Soft being richer in smell and much stronger. I find Sweet Lollipop somewhat less stronger, but to me it's still present. It isn't that light. It's linear, doesn't change at all on my skin. I reviewed Princess By Kilian and yes, I find it smelling the same as Princess, but Princess performs better. I don't like this, it's too sweet. I'm not done though. I'll try it in warmer weather, because Princess also smells so much better in warm weather. It almost morphes into another fragrance in the summer.

This perfume is not my cup of tea, eventho the ingredients sound like something I'll enjoy, but the combination of ginger and orange is really overpowers the other ingredients and are too strong for my liking, it has a moderate hold

That cinnamon and ginger at the beginning just threw me off , the drydown however is much pleasant smelling, a cotton candy vanilla ish

Yep! Aquolina Pink Sugar with an added touch of orange, though not similar to Pink Sugar Sensual. So bummed about this, only because I'm not a Pink Sugar fan as it's too sweet for me. Lollipop is cute and very cotton candy. I don't get any cinnamon or gingerbread, which is what I was hoping for.

You're at a family event; perhaps it's a wedding or a reunion of some kind. A tiny elderly lady spots you from across the room and shuffles over to you, eyes wide with recognition and awe. She tells you you've grown so much since she last saw you, and that she remembers when you were 'only this high' (she then helpfully estimates the height you once were with her hand). She then pulls you into a tight embrace that you neither expected nor asked for, and begins to pepper your face with kisses before hobbling away again. You are in a state of utter and pure confusion as you have no idea who this woman is or how anyone in your family actually knows her. That, dear reader, is what this 'fragrance' smells like; an old lady. Not the comforting scent of Nana's house that conjures long forgotten memories of childhood Christmasses excitedly opening presents and delighting in the company of loved ones, but the kind of smell that makes your head hurt. That awful overwhelming 'oh man, that old lady must have bathed in perfume' smell that also sticks to you if she so much as touches you. It stinks of a dusty old house filled to the brim with knick knacks. I bought this because of the wonderful reviews below! I adore gingerbread and 'Christmassy' smells so I thought it'd be wonderful for the upcoming festive season but instead I received granny mist. Did I get a dud? Is it expired? I don't know! I really, really wish it was ANYTHING like the reviews below mine said it would be. It was cheap enough that I definitely don't feel ripped off, but damn am I ever disappointed. One for the shelf.

I am new to this site and came across this brand while searching for gourmand scents! I immediately ordered some BOUM fragrances, since they seem good value, although I ordered them all "blind" based on the great reviews I read here. I wanted something that was sweet, reminiscent of candy and baking. I bought this blind after reading the (mixed) reviews. Here is how the Jeanne Arthes site describes this scent: "Succumb to the irresistible sweetness of Boum Sweet Lollipops, enter a gingerbread house and rediscover the enchanting universe of barley sugars of your early childhood. A fragrance for all girls who love confectionery: impregnated with greed while being fruity and spicy." Top note: Orange, Cinnamon Heart note: Ginger, Nutmeg Base note: Cotton candy, Vanilla Looking at the cute purple and pink packaging with lollies and candy cane, the scent is not what would be expected and the reviews and product description are accurate. It looks like it should be sweet, fun, candy-like and cookie-like...it isn't, at least not at first. It was incredibly spicy and strong and not candy-like or lollipop-like at all. It smelled exactly like the strong, incense, perfume souks in Abu Dhabi (where I used to live). After about 2 hours it faded a lot and it finally smelled of vanilla and cotton candy, with sweet and feminine notes, which were very pleasant. A bit disappointing to be honest as I wanted a full-out sweet lollipop scent. The initial spice notes are very strong. EDIT -- I tried it again this evening when it was cooler in the house and I wasn't feeling so hot too. Again, it starts off incredibly spicy, but I found it turned sweet MUCH quicker -- within minutes. I could smell lots of sweet vanilla, a little cotton candy and a touch of spice. Again, no lollipops but definitely a yummy, gourmand scent. In fact, I couldn't stop smelling my wrist, so it must be good! An interesting fragrance indeed!

This is a TRUE gourmond! I was out shopping with some friends and found a few bottles of these for fairly cheap. I almost blind bought it but I was afraid of not liking it and being stuck with it since the only available size wasn’t 3.4 oz. luckily, one of my friends bought it so I was able to try it! I’ve never tried pink sugar before, so I have no opinion on it it’s a dupe or not, although but my friend once had a bottle and said they were similar. It’s a very interesting fragrance to say the least. It starts out super vanilla caramel-y and then begins to dry with a powder and soft cotton candy, and drys down with a nutty and spicy cotton candy. On me, there was absolutely no gingerbread or orange to be found at all. It didn’t stay too great, but I sprayed it on the back of my hand. I have no idea where the powder came from, but it was okay. It’s a very affordable true gourmond and has a super cute bottle.

I absolutely agree with the others who compare this to Pink Sugar. It is nearly identical minus the odd burnt sugar/licorice note. Sadly I was hoping this would be a zesty gingerbread fragrance, but alas it is not. What it is, is a full throttle, no apologies, straight concentrate of cotton candy and subtle hints of sweetened vanilla and maybe- barely, a hint of candied orange zest. Once it has dried down and lingered for a few hours, there's a slight marshmallow and nutmeg aroma. I was really hoping this was a true-to-form gingerbread fragrance, as I like to layer different body lotions with different fragrances and I have last Xmas Gingerbread Latte body cream from Bath and Body Works which is incredible. But this is Pink Sugar's twin, so I'll keep it but it's rather linear for what I was anticipating.

While my first tissue test immediately radiated (sillage) Pink Sugar, upon deeper inspection/huffing/inhaling... I do get ORANGE and maybe some ginger. I normally hate ginger, but this seems very very slight. No cinnamon/nutmeg. (Orange, to me, really sticks out in the beginning of Pink Sugar Sensual- there's that similarity) Huge sillage in the first 10 minutes. My desk area at work smells like a 10 year old's bday party. ;) I will try property with my pjs later! I adore JA, and while this may be just another Pink Sugar, I'm glad to have it. I love playful fun sweeties! I opted for the less than $10 tester bottle from ebay. Actually, looking at the comparisons above, this is more like SOFT By Al Rehab, for sure. (Although my tastes have gone WAY up price-wise... haha... when it comes to my Top 6)

Sweet Lollipop, smells so much better then that awful Pink Sugar, reviews keep mentioning and and compared to Pink Sugar this, this stuff is the bee's knee's, because its so much more wearable. And I have been enjoying it as my SOTE.. 🍭 😋. And it is so gourmandy without smelling obscure or like food and its my 2nd bottle; as my granddaughter immediately fell in love with the one I had. So I gave it to her. Anyway, this is like a sweet, toffee, cinnamon, orange and ginger hug of everything that a good gourmand has to offer, without being overly sweet and I love it! It opens up with the orange note and dies down into a syrup and I find myself wishing that the ginger was a bit stronger. But I Still love it. It also really lasts well on clothes too and I get 3 to 4 hours of projection from it.

I did a blind buy on this based on the notes listed I've been looking for a perfume with nutmeg or ginger and this has both the price was low so I said why not. On first smelling it Was dissapointed because it's so similar to Delicious Cotton Candy, which I already own. So I sprayed so I sprayed BSL on one wrist and DCC on the other and there is some difference. Sweet Lollipop is spicierand I do get the ginger, not so much the nutmeg, They smell different enough to justify owning both. On a side note I'm so glad I found fragantica it's exposed me to so many perfumes I never even knew existed. Update: I gave this to my niece, ginger doesn't't work well on me it seems.

No gingerbread. Not terrible, just too much like Delicious Cotton Candy and Pink Sugar. Really bummed because gingerbread is what I was led to expect based on: The box The description Some reviews My delusions. So I will combine this with spicy scents I already have to find a remix that smells like gingerbread. Meanwhile, I am going to make some actual gingerbread because I found this incredible recipe requiring two kinds of sugar, ground ginger, fresh ginger, black pepper, and cayenne. At least my kitchen will smell incredible! Wish I knew a child I could pass this one along to.

WOW!!! love, love, love!!!!! I also ordered this along with everyone below for the gingerbread note and thoughts of cinnamon, sweet vanilla and everything Holiday but after hearing everyone comparing this to Pink Sugar I cringed and worried I had thrown yet another 10 dollar bill out the window. Not to worry!! its exactly what i was hoping for!!! i smell the cinnamon, some nutmeg, very very little orange, the gingerbread yummy vanilla and thankfully not much candy floss!! Just love and will go very nicely all winter long!!!

This is a super sweet fragrance I only bought it as it was £6.50 and seems good for a around the house or errand run kind of perfume. On me it’s very intimate and doesn’t last long at all. The actual scent however is okay, it starts off as super alcohol smelling and then transitions into gingerbread and when it settles it’s a very sweet candy floss with a little gingerbread type of smell but there’s something also super soapy about it in the background that I can smell that just doesn’t fit very well

I hope Jeanne made a lot of money this week. So many of us blind ordered this. I like it, pure cotton candy but that;'s what I expected. I can not figure out Jeanne Arthes perfumes. They are so inexpensive but there's something not really cheap; about them. They deliver but you know going in they won't be complicated like some high end Hermes. And maybe that is a good thing. Seems to be in this case.

It has NOTHING to do with Al Rehab Soft. Boum is warm, cinnamon-ey with a good dose of orange, while Soft is lemon-ey and similar to Devotion. @Shukky it's called a saleperson. "Sales associate" (aka seller), "administrative assistant" (aka secretary), "custodian" (cleaning person) and so on. All pompous words for menial jobs. That's the US for ya, where everything has to be politically correct.

Je m'attendais à une vraie odeur de Noël, malheureusement je ne la retrouve pas, il sent comme le "I'm free Kiss me Pink" mais en plus fort je trouve, ce qui est une bonne chose ! J'aime tout de même l'odeur. Très sucré, peut être même trop sucrée pour certains ! Pour un parfum à si bas prix la longévité est bonne et le sillage aussi. Rarement déçue des parfums de cette marque :)

This is NOT a disappointment for me. It is a great holiday scent. Or anytime scent. Sweet spice and sugar. Not over done, lasts all day. A grown up gourmand. I was able to buy this on E-Bay at a large discount new. I find Jeanne Arthes perfumes are really nice. And usually can be found discounted.Love the ginger note.

This was a Marshalls blind buy, at $8.99. It is, as people have stated, a sister to Pink Sugar, but it’s even closer to Al Rehab Soft. I mixed Soft with Sweet Lollipop, and it’s delightful. My skin pulls a good bit of sandalwood from the mix, and it’s quite comforting and lovely on this cold winter’s day.

A more sophisticated Pink Sugar plus added gingerbread cookie. Lira Xerjoff, eat your heart out, this cheapie is just the vibe. Super delicious and full bottle worthy especially at this price. Onto my best cheapies row. Safe blind buy if you like sweet cookies and gingerbread.

I own a few of her fragrances..and I'm just not understanding why they are soo weak??!! I have 3 of the boums they are weak.. and I also own the the generations rock. I just wish they would last longer. I literally spray they last 30minutes to 1 hour..on clothes and skin.

What a disapointment! Blind buy,based on notes and reviews. Initial spray-SugarBomb!Soo strong!After 15 minutes fades to a cotton candy/Tide detergent smell.Nothing else. Ugh!I adore JA CandyLand, hoped this would be as good.Nope!

It smells likes Pink Sugar but with a cinnamon note added in. Very sweet, reminds me of gingerbread snap cookies. Love it, just wish I didn't use up 99% of my bottle....No place sells this anymore. :(

to me, this is exactly like pink sugar. Smells pretty good, but I wish it was a little spicier.
