Love Generation Art's

What a gorgeous fragrance. Opens with a burst of citrus, invoking thoughts of sunny days, walking through Tuscan orange groves laden with creamy white blossoms. Raspberries stain my hands as I nibble on them, adding their tart berry flavour to the heady mix of fragrant air. The buzzing of bees amongst the blooms, leaves a rich, golden trail of honey sweetness. Something sweetly floral teases my senses, I look up to find trellises heavy with fragrant jasmine. A very shy Patchouli note, follows me like my shadow, just close enough to catch a quick glimpse now and then. This is a glorious concoction, which reminds one of warm spring days with a promise of a great summer. Jeanne Arthes creates some of my favourite perfumes and this one does not disappoint.

Jeanne Arthes: 'Love Generation Art' Extremely well blended as are most of Arthes fragrances, at least those I have tried. There are so many in her line and the one's I really knew well are unfortunately discontinued. This is budget friendly, well depends on point of purchase really, this being made in Grasse France, this and many other of her fragrances seemingly prototypes of more expensive design house fragrances, however they lack staying power. This one in particular. I have a couple of other fragrances in the Generation line reminds me vaguely of her powerhouse chypre fragrance 'Romantic' at least in the initial delivery and this appears closest to that fragrance. Generation ART' has a lot more staying power then "Rock' probably due to the patchouli which is evidently perceptible but not harsh or dirty. Three years ago patchouli made a comeback at least in Melbourne. I'm way away's from my hometown now. ( we used to drown in patchouli oil in the seventies) PHEW! The patchouli is well blended in G Art'. one could probably say this is more of a fruitchouli? it in any case adds depth and some mystique to an otherwise basic Orange Blossom cross patchouli fragrance. The sillage is a tad stranger than her newer scents probably due to the prohibitive stabilizers now banned in modern fragrances. This is also a bargain basement fragrance . I paid just $5.00 AUS dollars for a 60 mill EDP, but it may as well be a strong body spray for the lack of longevity, but I do like the linear personality of this fragrance. Like the other flacons in this series the shape reminds me of movement. It's cheap, So What?. It's made in Grasse, if you don't take it too personally . Arthes fragrances are a lot of fun.

Very pretty! Sparkling, juicy, delicious enough to drink! Smelling this actually makes me think of sunshine, and I would think it would be a great aromatherapy. I can smell the orange and raspberries sweetened with honey and blooming jasmine intertwined. This is a golden scent if there ever was one. This has medium-low longetivity - about 4 hrs.but the last 3 it stays close to the skin after first hour with a beautiful sweet drydown. I would love this more if it lasted :/ -I feel like maybe I've smelled this before on others? Smells expensive and very well blended.

Sprayed it all over and 20 minutes later it's gone! It acts like a cologne or EDT on me, the fragrance just doesn't stick at all. No way that I can detect any progression, it is gone too fast. Very, very disappointing. Anybody interested in buying the bottle or trading? I would prefer a trade, but I don't know how to set up a swap list. Also I have two more in the Loves Generation series that act the same way so they will be up for trade as well. They are Fashion's Victim and Rock.

I blind bought this based on positive reviews here. For me it`s a mish-mush of ingredients, not exactly enjoyable I`m sorry to say. Smells like cheap and strong hair shampoo. I can not imagine any moment when i would enjoy smelling like this. It`s a pass sadly. The box though is amazingly effective and special, while the perfume bottle looks just cheap same as it smells.

Just sprayed it for the first time. Immediate reaction: salon hair spray. But as it dries down, I get a fleeting patchouli, fruity, honey sweetness, and now, less than 5 minutes it's almost disappeared. Well, I got what I paid for. Meh. Disappointed.

I was on vacation in FIJI in 2013 and had the pleasure of smelling this on an East Indian woman who managed the resort I stayed at. She wore it beautifully, and as I'm sure you've all noticed, some people have the perfect body chemistry to wear perfumes. This woman certainly did, and so did my mother. I told the woman she smelled divine and asked Her what she was wearing. She told me. I had never heard of Jeanne Arthe's perfumes and assumed it was an expensive French perfume. When I visited the capital city of Suva, I did some shopping, visited the fragrance department in a large department store and voila! Jeanne Arthe's Love Generation was there, on sale, in a boxed gift set (Eau de parfum and Body Spray) for a mere FIJ $30.00!! Snapped it up! It is a wonderful, happy, fruity summery scent on me. It doesn't smell as deep and exotic as it did on that woman in Fiji, but then again, the humidity in FIJI may have coaxed more of the Eau de Parfum's ingredients out than my North American cooler weather does. I like it as it reminds me of my extraordinary travels through the FIJI ISLANDS (which is where I was born, BTW)!

This has an average lifespan and smells costly and beautifully mixed.

This one is raspberry overdose, with a bit of the citrus fruits in the background. I am not sure if I get the white flowers, jasmine has never been so subdued. I guess the honey adds to the sweetness during the heart and basenotes. I guess I missed in the reviews that it is close to Lady Million, which I tested once and disliked, other wise I would not have bought LGA's. In any case it has a big raspberry sillage at the beginning and a long longevity. I like Love Generation Rock, but I am not sure what to do with this one... on verra.

This one moved right up to the top of my favorites list immediately! Including my high-end pricey favorites! It's soft, innocent, natural-smelling, powdery...and lasts without fading to a disappointing finish like so many fragrances seem to. I don't pick up a fruity dominance. I find it instead to have a powdery vanilla theme. LOVE it!

I hate Jeanne Arthes perfumes On ME, they last less than an hour and smell really badly and/or almost nonexistant on ME. Don't know why. And in Brazil they are really expensive. Also don't see the slightest resemblance between them and their assorted "inspirations".

My favorite of the Love Generation series. I love raspberry and I can definitely smell it. This is just sweet fruity goodness at a very cheap price. I’ll probably use it as a summer frag.

aaa yummmiiiiiee. sweet in a mature way, maybe jasmine? a very nice scent ,hard to dislike.

Ihis perfume really is the best of J.A. house. It's awesome. Love it:)
