Love Generation Leopard

Once, when I was pregnant but didn't know it yet, I had to ride in a car with someone for 3 hours who was wearing way too much perfume. I was incredibly nauseated and we had to pull over several times. She was a big fan of fancy fragrances and had told me about spraying her new buy right before getting in the car. Fast forward to many years later, trying on Love Generation Leopard, and BOOM I am transported to that car ride and this is the smell! Or a very close dupe. I'm guessing it was Flowerbomb! (Will have to check release date) or maybe a Jean Paul Gaultier, which was her favorite. Anyhoo... sorry for the long story, but scent memory is so powerful. This perfume is very beautiful. The citrus and florals, especially osmanthus, are delicious and sweet, and the musk very creamy, especially in the last few hours. This has a sensuality to it- some real depth, mainly because of the strong patchouli and musk holding up the beautiful florals. I really like this perfume, and luckily I don't have "pregnant nose" anymore ruining my scent journey:) Longevity and strength are medium on me.

How sad, I think I slept on this for too long and now it’s been discontinued. I got a mini set on Amazon a year ago for 7 bucks or something crazy and now I’m having a hard time locating a full bottle. Though somewhat boring and not the most original, for the price, this smells really good! I like the freshness of the orange, the sexiness of the jasmine and the coziness of the musk and patchouli! It’s a winner! I may not be able to find a big bottle when I run out so I may have to splurge on Flowebomb! If you can find a bottle, snag it up! Update: I bought Flowerbomb, I actually prefer this! It’s lighter and prettier!😭. Edit: sol de janeiro 76 is expensive, but better than this. It has a little more oomph and more lasting power. I compared them on both arms. When I run out of Flowerbomb, will buy that more than likely.

To me, this smells nothing like Gucci Rush (which smells more spicy or peppery) and nothing like Flowerbomb (which I can't ever distinguish the notes in) This smells divine. I expected nothing, and I am picky. If I spray this on my skin, or my coat, or my scarf, or anywhere, this will not come off. Longevity on me is LONG. Its aah-mazing. It smells woody, fruity, vanilla, patchouli, delicious, deep, sensual, sexy, exquisite. Never had a better cheap fragrance in my life. Edit ~ I love this fragrance. This does not smell like flowerbomb to me, at all. But I love this fragrance! This is the best, cheap purchase I ever had. I will continue to buy until I can't find them.

The review by Drugstore Classics is spot on- definitely this has a gourmand base with vanilla, amber, musk, and a touch of patchouli. There are subtle fruits (pear, cassis, apricot), but these only complement the heady, nectar-rich blend of tuberose, ylang ylang, and narcissus; jasmine and orange blossom in small amounts. The effect is delicious, and the musky base also has a touch of civet making this incredibly captivating. I can't believe what I paid for this- I like it just as much (if not a tad more!) as Viva La Juicy and Vince Camuto. P.S. This is nothing like Gucci Rush (which is much "drier" and has lactonic notes with very "flat" blending)

I'd never heard of Jeanne Arthes, so I settled for purchasing testers rather than pay full price for a blind-buy I may not like. Generation Leopard and Seduction were my first JA fragrances (received at the same time). Since I liked both, I purchased a few others (also based on online reviews). Leopard is an interesting and well-balanced fragrance-- it's pretty, floral, citrusy, and gourmand. For me, it goes on strong so using a light hand on your pulse points is ideal. It settles fairly quickly, so I also (lightly) sprayed it on my top just to extend its longevity throughout the day. While it's true that this fragrance doesn't scream "unique" or "groundbreaking", it certainly doesn't have a cheap smell, which is great given its affordable price point. Basically, it smells more expensive than it actually is. I've not smelled Flowerbomb, but if this is a lighter version of it, I'm glad I got to experience Leopard first since it sounds like Flowerbomb would be too strong for me. Either way, this was a safe blind-buy and is a win for me. I don't see myself repurchasing it only because I have one or two other fragrances that perform the same way this one does, but when those are done, Leopard would be the one I repurchase. I like its performance in cooler weather and will see how it performs when it gets warmer. But based on the notes, I doubt I'll be reaching much for it during the summer.

if you like the *idea* of Flowerbomb but find it too much for you, this might be a good one to try. Not a dupe, but this is a quieter cousin of Flowerbomb. It's a very patchouli-forward floriental, if you like that idea this is definitely worth checking out because it's very inexpensive. Sillage is not overly intense. A patchouli that's safe for the office elevator... While this is pretty, for me it feels a bit generic and also just slightly dated, because it's so reminiscent of all the big sweet floral-fruity-choulis of the first decade of the 2000s. It's pleasant but I can't see myself reaching for it often. I'm not afraid to gift it to someone, though, because I can see a lot of people liking this. One thing I will say, though, these Jeanne Arthes Love Generation bottles are TRAGIC. I don't know what they were thinking but this is like Lisa Frank got really drunk.

Simple but excellent! I'm generally no fan of freesia, but here the impression is that of orange blossom and possibly a touch of orchid and other white florals along for the ride. Pretty! Soon the slightly animalic base with it's creamy, musky sweetness takes over. I smell vanilla too, even though it's not listed. Perhaps this is the osmanthus? On me the patchouli is quite subdued, only adding a touch of complexity without a 'patch head' vibe. Who knows what will happen on someone else's skin, but the overall effect seems quite well balanced. In short, a pleasantly sweet and creamy floriental that I found easily and instantly likable. WIN!

I picked this up (on sale) for 3 bucks at my local TJ Maxx. I have to say, it's actually quite nice. I saw the other comments comparing it to Flowerbomb, and I agree, it's very close. If you enjoy that scent, but not the price, this would be a good alternative. I found that this lasted on my skin for about 6-7 hours. It was more of a softer intensity, not overly strong at all. For a cheapie perfume, it sure doesn't smell like it!

Nothing like Flowerbomb. But... it’s a PATCHOULI bomb! This has some serious patchouli going on. Reminds me of a 1970s fragrance my sister used to wear, can’t recall the name. But this is like old school disco, bell bottoms, and platform shoes. I don’t get all the other notes listed - I just get patchouli and musk. And it’s bothering me that I can’t think of the fragrance it reminds me of, when I figure it out I’ll edit my review. Edit: ok so I e narrowed it down to 2 that my sister used to wear. From 1985, not the 70’s, Coty Wild Musk Patchouli blend. Or possibly Revlon Jontue from the 1970’s... which incidentally was named after Revson’s son John... the name was “John too” and then to make it more marketable and “French” sounding... they changed it to “Jontue.”

I think I may be anosmic to this but for now here are my observations...this is not a leopard but a kitten...a very small kitten. Stays very close to my skin..slight orange blossom with slight patchouli. I will give my nose a break and try it again in a few days. I was hoping for a patchouli bomb but so far only a soft whisper.

My most favorite Jeanne Arthes! This one is indeed like a Flowerbomb's sister, side by side FB is denser with a chocolaty Patchouli while Leopard is lighter with a greener Patchouli, but it's still very much a vanillic gourmand. Dry-downs almost identical. Really love this one.

coming back to this one a second time.....quite lovely...soft peppery Patchouli. Very nice...soft sillage...office safe. I am bordering on loving this one. I also adore fragrances like Vince Camuto, and Queen Latifah...this has that similar vibe but softer.

I agree with beauty_girl. This is like Flowerbomb. It seems a little less sugary than my memory of Flowerbomb,though. (I can't compare it directly since I don't own Flowerbomb.) I don't find Leopard similar to my Gucci Rush.

Bought this for $6.00- blind buy. Interesting GOURMOND scent. No longevity for my $6.00 though. Almost has a Theirry Muglar vibe?

absolutely a copy for Gucci rush which I don't like at all. Long lasting about 10 hours but smell close to skin.
