Tea Time à Paris Macaron Amande

The first spray smells like plum, vanilla and milk, it's all combined into powdery scent. After a while you can smell something between comforting candy plum and pistachio. In addition there are somewhat gentle afternotes of heliotrope and lactonic nutty almond. It smells comforting on clothes even after hours, however the best smell is on clothes made out of cotton, on polyester clothing it won't last long. Moreover, after days you can still smell the softer undertones of the perfume- heliotrope and almonds, but it creates scent like the clothes have been freshly washed with some luxury washing gel. To me, it was harsh at first (maybe because it was new and I smelled the alcohol at first), but after a few minutes I got used to it, I really love this perfume. Value is great, I got it even cheaper (from Vinted for 5€) because I was not sure whether it will be just what I'm looking for, but it is. Nowadays, the more I wear it, the more I'm addicted to it. When you're in the office or somewhere in the hallway, it makes people turn their head. It's pleasant smell, not harsh when you wear it. If you're into gourmand perfumes, go for it. I'm the type of person who loves perfumes like this, I love sweet perfumes and I hate when there's undertone of harsh flowers such as rose in the perfume. Despite that there is undertone of flower, it's not too overwhelming and it just adds the gentle lactonic powdery spike into it. <3

I was given this as a present and didn’t know what to expect, but I really love it! I have a wide range of perfumes from Chanel to Lidl. As long as something smells good and makes me feel good. I’ll wear it. The number of compliments I’ve had when wearing it is amazing and my daughter loved it too when she smelled it (she wears fragrances from Le Labo, Maisie Margiela, Molton Briwn, Chanel, Chloe etc.) I’ve bought her a bottle as well, it can be found for as little as £6 or £8 online for 100ml. As a previous review says, it’s a little bit like a light version of Hypnotic Poison, and reminds me of Ariana Grande‘s Cloud. However, it’s not as in your face or a sickly sweet as Cloud. I was wearing it yesterday and even though it’s not massively strong, I kept catching subtle whiffs and felt as though I was in a Parisian bakery at the sweet pastries counter. i’d call it a lovely comforting perfume and great for any time of year. It’s nice to layer as well, so even if you didn’t like it on its own that much, it’s not a huge expense less than a tenner and it can add a little bit of sweetness and warms up other fragrances. I’ve had great success combining it with Lidl’s version of Sol de Janiero Cheirosa 62TM mist which is absolutely gorgeous, and lasts on me longer than the original, but that’s a completely different story! I’d say try it!

I blind-bought this together with the other fragrance in the pink bottle from the same collection, Pavlova, as they were on sale and scandalously cheap (around 5 EUR for 100 ml each). Now, Pavlova smells pretty much as cheap as it costs, but this right here is a gem. I have Kayali's YUM Pistachio Gelato and while they're not exact dupes, they definitely have very similar vibes, I understand why people are comparing them. Kayali is sparklier and fresher and yes, more complex and sophisticated (I mean, it better be - I literally paid 20x more than this one, even 40x, if you count the fact that my Kayali is 50 ml) while Macaron Amande is nuttier and more lactonic and, well, cuter? Can you use "cute" to describe a fragrance? A girl on TikTok described it as the lovechild of YUM Pistachio Gelato and This Is Her by Zadig&Voltaire and I think it's pretty spot on. Longevity is quite decent, especially for the price - I get 4-5 hours. The sillage is rather intimate but then again, so is Kayali's. I absolutely LOVE my Kayali YUM Pistachio Gelato but honestly, had I known this one existed before, I probably wouldn't have bought it. Kayali is better but it is not 40x times better.

Paris 10 years ago, walking on Champs-Elysée with my daughter, decided to step in a café to taste some macarons and have a cup of coffee. Those macarons were the best! Is this perfume able to take me back to that memory? It's Jeanne Arthes, 100 ml, 8 euros on discount.. does it smell cheap? Am I crazy to expect any quality? The reviews here are not bad.. Out of curiosity I blind bought this cheapie. It arrived in a pretty box, and the bottle is cute and definitely one of a kind! The smell then: it's almondy, gourmand, softly sweet, not cloying. Very pleasant, fits better the colder seasons than spring, but it's still nice even now. Something cosy and comfy in this scent, brought a smile on my face. Longevity is good, lasted 8 hours on my skin so that I could smell it. Very nice on a windy, cloudy spring day. I recommend this to gourmand lovers. This is a French pastry, vanilla filled macaron or pistacchio ice-cream. :)

At first, this reminded me of shampoo. The kind of shampoo you can't tell what scent it's supposed to be. Flowers? Sweets? Milk? You read the bottle, it says "macarons", but if it read "sweet garden" or "cupcake", you wouldn't be surprised. It's pleasant and smells like comfort. Then 15 minutes pass and it gets sweeter. Milk and almonds with honey, it feels like a hug or grandma's cookies. It's not just sweet, it's emotionally sweet too, makes you smile, and it really smells like macarons after 30 minutes. Perfect for autumn, or any other season if you like sweet fragrances. Lasts for around 3 hours, and the projection is pretty weak, sits close to skin the whole time Update: As the fragrance had a bit of time to "rest" after shipping, the longevity and projection changed. Now it has a stronger projection (arm length), and lasts for 7 hours on skin. It's pretty great ❤️
