Tea Time à Paris Pavlova

Tea Time à Paris Pavlova by Jeanne Arthes perfectly captures what pavlova tastes like. Imagine taking a bite of candied apples, fresh strawberries, vanilla, and whipped cream... For me, this fragrance is realistic. There's no hint of any plastic, synthetic, or artificial scent. Considering how cheap this scent is, the quality is really nice. It's not that long lasting, but I don't have a problem re-applying this throughout the day. I've seen some people compare Tea Time à Paris Pavlova to Burberry Her Elixir. I can see how some people say that. In my opinion, Burberry Her Elixir has a little synthetic, musky, plastic scent to it. This smells more like a strawberry dessert than Burberry Her Elixir. If you're looking to smell like strawberries and cream, Tea Time à Paris Pavlova is the way to go.

What an amazing and juicy scent! Wow. Right away, I catch notes of tangy apples and sweet strawberries. There's a hint of vanilla and a dash of toffee. In the background, you can also detect a subtle touch of rose. But you have to know it's there to notice it (thankfully). It's truly a delightful and summery fragrance. It smells like a deliciously sweet and refreshing drink on a warm summer evening in the garden, in good company. It lasts about 2 hours, which isn't very long, of course. But hey... it really doesn't cost much either. And personally, I can't tell that this is supposed to be a "cheap" perfume. I find the scent absolutely appealing and thoroughly charming and effervescent. I can easily spray this fragrance a couple of times throughout the day if I need it to last longer.

Blind buy. It smells good. Pretty box and bottle. Can only smell when up close. I had high hopes for this perfume since it has all the notes I love. But I can't really smell the strawberry and whipped cream that well. (And the box says Candied apple not toffee so if you don't smell it don't be surprised.) It stays forever on clothes. For this price i am very surprised. Its really more apple than strawberry or anything like that but it's still very cozy. I love re-applaying it it's so good! It smells sweet not sickingly sweet and I honestly think it has a vibe of colder weather, like during winter or fall. It's great for an affordable perfume, bought it off Amazon for around 10 to 11 euros. Other than that it smells really good and comforting.

Wow! For the price just wow. How does it smell like? Think fruit candies. It is a very well rounded fragrance, smooth and without the artificial sharpness that some gourmands have. Also, it should be noted that it passed the overnight test. Meaning that I sprayed it at night and it still stuck around in the morning. I could not really smell it (maybe just very faintly) in the morning, but my husband did. So it seems that this is something some people get anosmic to after a while, but it does last! Projection is moderate.

Pavlova is absolutely addicting! This fragrance is a deep, creamy, tart strawberry. Sweet, but not overly so. The musk grounds the scent so that it does not become syrupy. This has a true strawberry note....not like sweet candy, more like a ripe strawberry. The whipped cream, toffee and vanilla gives it warmth; comforting. If you like creamy, tart, strawberry scents, you will love this.

This does not smell like the new Kayali Marshmallow, I prefer this one much more. This has more fresh strawberry, it is upplifting and fresh although very tart. The Kayali was a big dissapointment to me, it smells more like strawberry tea and is dry will this one is more juicy. If you compare the pricing then this is amazing. I prefer this over Burberry her Elixir as well.

Very affordable and nice my go to perfume. Its this cutesy soft sweet nothing too grazy but like for that nice price its amazing. It is pretty articifial but like I dont really mind it and also one thing that i dont like is that it doesnt really last long max maybe 2 hours but its still nice

Smells just like a strawberry milkshake. It's so so tasty but not overwhelming at all. Even though it's very mild when it comes to lasting power. It's so cheap I don't even care. I drown myself in it no shame

There’s actually no toffee in the top notes on the box it says candy apple so that’s probably why you won’t smell any caramel

Uplifting and happy fragrance. Smells like strawberry bubble gum and dries down to a nice vanilla after a few hours. Love!

Very sweet, candy-like scent that unfortunately does not really resemble Pavlova in any capacity. To me it smells like strawberry Chupa-Chups lollipop - like synthetic strawberry and candy (with a hint of candied apples). Still, it's nice, I don't have many complaints and I quite like it but I was hoping it would be more creamy (with a more noticeable whipped cream note), more like the strawberry & cream Chupa-Chups rather than the strawberry one but oh well. It also isn't very long lasting and the sillage is rather weak. But what can we expect from a scent in this price range? Overall it's a great scent but not exactly what I was looking for. EDIT: I kinda feel like it got creamier with time? I feel like now it actually smells more like strawberry and cream Chupa-Chups? Interesting...

Oh, this is so cute. From the ballerina bottle to the content of strawberry jam with whipped cream! After a while I can smell the toffee too and I’m kinda anosmic to the rest of the notes, but this is enough for me to please my nose. Nothing smells artificial, it’s so pleasant and cake-like! I like this one more than her green sista, which is mainly because of the pear. This is the perfume for a main character in Sofia Coppola’s movie. She just took a bath and wearing this perfume she’s gonna hop here and there around Paris to eat some macrons and buy a bunch of tulips. Bon appétit!

The name makes you have high hopes for this perfume but unfortunately it doesn’t smell like a Pavlova dessert. In fact you barely feel any strawberry. This is mostly apple. That being said, it’s a very pleasant, non offensive cheapie to wear here and there when you don’t want to use your “good” fragrances. Longevity and projection are low-ish. I like it but I’m not sure I would repurchase it. It’s not something unforgettable that you have to have on your collection.

This is a fruitier, slightly more shampoo-y and less vanillic Escada Candy Love. Spring daytime. Casual. Intimate silage. Young, Uncomplicated, Fun & Girly. A sweet-sour juicy green apple is the main star here. Strawberry, Rose, whipped cream & vanilla in the background. For the price, it's a steal. Instant pick-me-up scent. Just, don't expect something creamy, this is mainly sweet, fruity, fresh and a bit sour. For sunny, but not hot, days.

I'm wearing it in bed on a Sunday morning, just to have a happy, sweet little strawberries & cream cloud around me whilst I drink my coffee and contemplate the day. It's so inexpensive that it doesn't matter that it will be washed off in an hour, and replaced with something a little more grown up. For now, it's the smell of childhood sweets, fruity children's bubble bath, and innocence. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Such a pleasant strawberry scent. I can smell strawberry, apple and cream in the drydown too. It's very nice, an easy grab. I have really been enjoying it the past week or so, some days I wore just that one and on others when my perfume from the morning faded completely, I sprayed this one for the afternoon/evening. Got this for about 8 euros in sale, pretty great bargain. It's a VERY sweet and nostalgic strawberry scent with a delicious twist, reminds me of a summer trip to somewhere with lots of bakeries and flowers. Not a complex fragrance at all, so if you enjoy something interesting and deep, skip this or layer it with something. Might go well with a good vanilla scent. Longevity is a few hours for me.

Blind buy. Very sweet and fruity, I kinda get the reviews mentioning a resemblance to a strawberry chupa chups lollipop. I don't know why but it reminds me of my Pantene keratin protect hair mask but fruitier and sweeter. It is a bit synthetic but for me not in a bad way I must say. The bottle is heavy and cute. Great value for money, you can find it for 8€.

Es muy muy rico, dulce pero no tanto como para ser punzante, lo unico que tengo para criticarle es que la duracion es muy poca y no tiene estela casi, en ropa si suele durar mucho mas, me gusta que en cuanto a notas es simple dentro de todo, recomiendo como para un perfume dulce para el dia a dia, y es super safe para usar en verano!

I really really like it! It's sweet, but somehow also fresh in its drydown, then it's smells like a luxurious body lotion which I also like. Smells like fresh strawberries in sugar. Some compare it to strawberry chupa-chups, which I get, but it's more than just that. It's very girly. And the price is amazing!

More strawberry and flatter version of Moschino pink bouquet ,definitely more Moschino than Burberry Elixir! Not a bad value for money but I think of it as a bodyspray quality as it lacks any depth and the longevity is relatively poor. The scent really reminds Strawberry Chupa chups and pavlova cake :)

It's very sweet, almost overly so. It's also very simple and linear, and a bit synthetic. That aside, I like it! The overwhelming creaminess and sweet notes of apple and strawberries make it impossible for a gourmand lover like me to hate it, especially for a price as low as this one.

Wow, this really does smell like pavlova. And pretty damn realistic as well, I don't get wvy others call this synthetic smelling. Also I like this one a lot better than Burberry Her Elixir. This is a lot fresher.

I think that if you buy this expecting a super creamy scent you might be disappointed! I wouldn't vote the cream as being near the top and the apple is candy apple (apple in sugar rather than toffee), so if you're used to less tangy, more sweet and creamy, lactonic scents you might be surprised by the fruityness here! I think this smells like a good quality strawberry and green apple jam (a fancy one that you'd call Compote!) atop a soft rose-water infused meringue, with a scoop of cream on the side. I can see the comparisons to Burberry Her, but I honestly think this smells nicer and less cloying. It's mad to say that a £12 perfume smells less synthetic than a £60 one, but I do think it's true in this case! Both of the Tea Time a Paris perfumes are worth having!

Synthetic strawberry is heavy on this one. You can tell the scent is quite affordable, even cheap because it's so synthetic. This doesn't smell anything like realistic strawberries. I wish it was more creamy too, but I don't really get that vibe. It's more of a bitter leaning scent because of the synthetic apple. Again, not at all like an actual apple smell, but that's to be expected form the very affordable price. I do get maybe a hint of underlying vanilla and musk, but unfortunately the musk is a dusty kind of musk on me. Reminds me so much of a shampoo scent that a teenager might use. Not bad ar all, just not my cup of tea. Almost blind bought, but very happy that I didn't, even if the price is very affordable. I just know I'd never use this.

This brings my mind to anything strawberry scented from the early 2000's; erasers, shampoo, toys... Did anyone else have the Furberries toys in the mid 00's? The dry down smells just like the strawberry scented one my sister had! The opening is kinda reminiscent of strawberry milk Chupa Chups, but it quickly settles and develops this dusty/rubbery undertone. I too wish this had a creamy accord to balance it out. This fragrance is somewhere in between a "like" and "ok" for me; it's hard to dislike, but it doesn't smell like anything I'd want to eat. Not like pavlova at all. If you want to smell like a nice strawberry scented eraser, this is the fragrance for you!

Got it for like 12 € and is one of the cheaper gourmand scents that are quite easy to find. I smell a pear lemonade or something like that more than apple or strawberry. The creaminess is very supple but becomes more prominent overtime. After 10 minutes the strawberry makes the scent more sweeter but then it is already fading. Honestly I don't think anyone besides the person wearing it can smell it after 15 minutes. I find it quite a girly and young scent, best for summer probably. I don't think anyone who is really into perfumery is looking for this, it just lasts for such a short time :^(

Sweet, fruity slightly creamy scent. The strawberry is candied yet not that synthetic kind of strawberry that you would find in Burberry her or Montale Mukhallat. It reminds me of biting in to a fresh, juicy and lightly sugared strawberry in summer. It's not the most complex scent but it is a nice little pick me up. I had maybe wished for a bit more of a creamy texture or even powdery merengue accord. It is not the most long lasting scent in the world, but I would say worth the 5-6 Euros it cost me. This is for the lovers of fruity sweet strawberry scents.

Fresh-fruity-sweet, a little soft and powdery. I expected something more cozy and creamy. There's milky strawberry but the fresh calone is so dominant, giving a synthetic vibe. Dry-down is softer and creamier but when it reaches that stage, it's a skin scent on me. Pavlova is friendly, casual and inoffensive with nice projection but not the mouthwatering dessert I hoped for. It's not up to par with "Macaron Amande" which is my favorite of these. Milder sillage/moderate longevity.

This one smells like one direction fragrance that I had when I was 12. The pink one. Not horrible, not good either. Strong synthetic vanilla or whatever that I smell. Have to give it back. These cheap parfumes feel like you want to wear a parfume but you don’t want to buy a real one so you wear this, and you end up stinking instead. It smells like desperation

Oh, this was a BAAD blind buy! I have a few other Jeanne Arthes perfumes that I really like (Riviera Sunset from Collection Azur, Amore Mio Forever, Amore Mio White Pearl ..) and I had high hopes for this one, given that so many of the reviews on here rhapsodise about it (but some don't!). I also was hoping that this may remind me a bit of Juste un Baiser, a lovely strawberry'ish Fragonard perfume that I discovered a few years ago but then, to my dismay, realised it was being discontinued. Sadly, this perfume absolutely doesn't begin to resemble that gorgeous perfume. It really jarred with me when I spritzed it on and I had to force myself to wait & not to rush to wash it off because it smelled quite nauseating! The strawberry note smells very synthetic & I can barely decipher the other notes (candy apple, whipped cream, vanilla). Also, it smells far from gourmand to me and, if anything, it just smelled more like face powder - very cosmetic. I managed to tolerate it for 2-3 hours but it stayed smelling exactly the same, VERY linear & not becoming more likeable the longer it was on my skin, so ultimately I did wash it off because I couldn't bear the smell of it anymore - it was too cloying, sickly, artificial smelling & just downright annoying! I might give it a chance by using it with another perfume, in an attempt to make it smell pretty decent, but if that fails then I doubt I'll ever want to wear this again!

TTaPP is fruity, bubbly and fun scent... for a while. Totally agree with @cruspy, I can see the resemblance to strawberry chupa chups, especially initial spray gives me those vibes as well! ☺️ In addition to fruitiness, I detected a slight soapyness on the first hour, kind of like what some shower gels might smell like, and I feel like that type of feeling is increasing as time passes. On the third hour the scent turns into more sharp which is why this is, after all, not for me. I would not mind it on someone else though since this sits very close to skin and I can get the sharpness only when I'm smelling really close to where I sprayed this. I wished that the initial strawberry feels and sour apple note would last longer. On clothes, after 3 hours, this smells like laundry detergent. It's ok, a little meh.

I blind bought this one because someone said it was a dupe for Burberry Her Elixir... Let me tell you sum... THIS IS NOWHERE NEAR TO HER ELIXIR!! (I have them both) The green apple toffee smacks you straight in the face, and it's pretty much the only thing you'll get. It overpowers all the other notes for some reason, specially the strawberry... So you can imagine my disappointment when it has absolutely no resemblance to Her Elixir! You can barely get the rose, whipped cream, vanilla or musk... I had to give it away because I never reached for it again after the initial try... It was inexpensive so no biggie, but beware! This perfume is pretty much one tone, lacking depth and complexity. The bottle is cute, but that's all I liked about it. Big pass for me.

Very unappealing opening which then dissipates into literally nothing on the skin. Super artificial strawberry candy smell. To compare this to Burbery Her Elixir is just not correct. BHE is beautiful, whereas this is like BHE's fake, gross, 2nd cousin. Do not blindbuy this unless you want to smell like cheap, expired strawberry candy. This is coming from someone who doesn't even mind artificial strawberry in my scents - this specific fragrance is just not nice, in my opinion. Perhaps a young child may enjoy this... maybe.

Was really hoping I would get even a bit of the creamy/gourmand notes, but I just don’t. This is pure shampoo to me. Like something from V05 or Herbal Essences. Super synthetic soapy thing going on, and never developed to anything more sugary or baked good-y. Not for me.

I thought based on the notes that this would be a nice sweet scent but it's too sour:( it's sharp and not rounded and creamy at all. I recommend "Tea Time à Paris Macaron Amande" for those who love creamy, sweet gourmand scents, it's much nicer according to me.

This one smells like a kid ́s strawberry toothpaste. It reminds me of Burberry Her, but I don ́t like Burberry Her either. However, if you like the scent of sweet, artificial strawberries, you will love this.

A strawberry dessert cloud as scented action figure (complete with a wide-eyed smile and poseable white plastic legs, arms, feet, and hands) atop a base of toffee, whipped cream, and white musk. The apple only exists momentarily, and the rose is there as an imaginary friend (you can smell her if you close your eyes and call her name), lending only whispers in the way of character or structure. For fruity gourmand lovers, it's well-worth the budget price to explore this one, but it's not a love for me. While I don't regret the purchase, my skin really elevates the musk in the drydown and after an hour or so the syrupy sweet and musky combo starts to feel a bit cloying. The bottle is adorable, sillage is arm's length, and longevity is on par with much more expensive frags, IMHO. I may give it another couple of wears, perhaps combining it with an apple or citrus "freshie" to thin out the syrupy, musky drydown and lighten things up. If that changes my assessment, I'll update. For now, it goes in the giveaway pile with a sad sigh (the bottle really is just adorable). EDIT: Gave it another couple of wears and just couldn't develop a liking for the musky drydown. Hopefully the friend Im passing it on to will enjoy it.

Can I start by saying that out of all the different perfumes I’ve used in my life, I’ve had the most compliments EVER when using this one! Crazy when you consider it costs about £8. I’ve bought it for several friends after they commented. It’s like being in a sweet comforting fruity fluffy cloud alll day, but not too sickly or overpowering. I’ve got a lot of Jeanne Arthes perfumes, in the Tea Time a Paris and Balade a Paris ranges. I find them absolutely gorgeous! I only know about them after a friend bought me the Almond one in this range - and afterwards I was hooked! I’ve got many more expensive perfumes and just keep coming back to these for everyday or to wear to bed. Divine!
