I am lucky enough to have a bottle of this beautiful perfume. Sadly, the details on Fragrantica seem to be quite scant, so I will share the little I know about it. The seashell shape of the Fleur de Nacre bottle is meant to be a visual interpretation of its name, which translates from French to "Mother of Pearl Flower." The scent itself is smooth and powdery, with (to my nose) a hint of sea air, although that could be entirely suggestive, given the style of the bottle. It is a perfect Spring or Summer daytime scent. The aldehydes are not at all overbearing and add a incandescent quality to the fragrance. I think that illustrates what a masterful perfumer Nicolas Mamounas was. Top Notes: Aldehydes, Carnation, and Gardenia Heart Notes: Narcissus, Jasmine, and Rose Base Notes: Vanilla, Oakmoss, and Musk I hope that helps those of you who wanted to know more about it. Perhaps Fragrantica can now update the perfume notes as none are listed.

I met Mr. Mamounas while I was living in France and he offered me a bottle of Fleur de Nacre. I did not use it for my self because I am a man but I still remember that it was heavenly good. It could easily be compared, proudly stand aside and surely eclipse some of the most known ladies' perfumes.

@alexma-- I can only imagine the ecstasy I would experience if a master perfumer offered me a bottle of perfume, especially his own creation. You are lucky, wow!
