Hauto

I love light airy floral fragrances that envelope you in scent and this has one of the most delicious twists—a luscious pineapple note. I wasn't sure I would even smell it after reading reviews that some people couldn't. That would have been disappointing because I love the smell of pineapple, and it was the main reason I wanted to try this scent. But I'm happy to report I can, and throughout the wear no less. The pineapple adds such a beautiful exotic aspect to this scent. It's not sweet, syrupy, or dense, but like what you smell in the air when you are cutting up a ripe, juicy pineapple. It blends so beautifully with the sweet, in full bloom tuberose and a delicate kiss of rose giving this fragrance a touch of the tropics. Though this fragrance isn't powdery, being too fresh for that, there is a light muskiness here that adds softness without compromising the sparkling bergamot and subtle spices. However, I believe there are some newfangled molecules here (ambroxan? Iso?) that I usually hate that are so often used in perfumes today. Fortunately, they are done so lightly it is barely noticeable. I suspect they are acting as an enhancer, diffusing the scent into an airiness that I love, while also contributing to the great longevity. While this smells wonderful right now, I think this will smell even better in the summer when I am engulfed in this deliriously narcotic scent. I haven't bought a backup bottle of a fragrance in a long, long time, but I find this so addictive, I am seriously considering it. I don't think this one ounce, even if it is an extrait, is going to last very long.

This is definitely the most versatile Tuberose which I know and which I have. Hauto is really enjoyable, comfortable and sensual and this is one of the rare Tuberose scents where it is balanced and somehow restrained. So if you are sensitive with many Tuberose scents and think those are too strong you can give this a chance. Hauto (with ^ on the top of u) is Esperanto and it means “skin” and that tells a lot of this amazing scent. “Hauto is an invitation to experience the fragrance of skin.” In the opening you can get a hint of Pineapple which stays faint in the background for a while. Tuberose is strong in the opening but it’s sensitive and “friendly”. Rose and spices are barely noticeable. Tuberose somehow melts into the skin with amazingly soft Musk base. All those together create something unique which actually is like a second skin in the tempting, sensual, sophisticated way. I fell in love with this scent again and again every time I wear it. The simple, elegant 30ml bottle is adorable and easy. “During the Roaring Twenties, French Cancan dancers in the celebrated cabarets of Paris had their own very specific perfume rituals. I really love this scent. It is a beautiful tuberose and the pineapple in the top notes gives it a slightly tropical feel without it being too sweet. I don't like perfumes that are too sweet or fruity, but this is just enough to make it unique as a tuberose scent. It is very alluring. I think it will be an evening scent for me. I am getting images of a glamorous lady in black sparkling evening gown bedecked in jewels. Confident and exotic with a mysterious air about her. I love the bottle and the packaging. The black and gold typeface evocative of 1920s art deco. It feels both vintage and modern. There is also the perfect amount of spice and it warms into a lovely musky creamy tuberose in the dry down. I get a bit of vanilla, although it is not listed in the notes. It reminds me ever so slightly of Fragile by Jean Paul Gaultier. It has some similar notes. Fragile was my signature scent in the early 2000s and I miss it so much! It can never be replaced. But it is great to find something new that is just as unique. I am at the beginning of my perfume journey. But Hauto could be a new signature for me. It is sophisticated and alluring with a touch of the exotic. Quite a rich perfume. So one spritz is enough.

I am a crazy tuberose lady. For me it's impossible to have a Best Tuberose; there's just too many different varieties that are executed so beautifully. If forced to pick it would probably be Bikini Questa, which will hopefully give some kind of idea about what tuberose type I'm generally the most partial to. Loud, streamlined (get that etc floral bouquet out of there please) and fruity perhaps? That long segue aside I don't know that there really are any truly new and exciting tuberoses. Everything is going to be Michael Kors/Truth or Dare/Fracas to someone.... Hauto certainly doesn't break any rules or do anything super exciting. But! I love it! The pineapple (which is a note I don't generally enjoy) is tart and fresh; it melts into the slightly camphorous tuberose note perfectly. If you are also a crazy tuberose person I highly recommend you try it; I'm sure its just fill in the blank tuberose with pineapple; but for me it's worth it's spot on my tuberose list!

Tropical tuberose in the opening, fresh but not green, made sweeter by the pineapple note. It is slightly spicy and the rose gives it a bit of tartness. As it dries, the creaminess and waxiness of the tuberose get stronger but never overpowering or cloying. After about one hour it is very nice, it projects a soft floral, elegant scent. It is probably more adequate for spring/summer. It carries the same simplicity of Do Son, but it is not as fresh and juicy. This is more mature tuberose (the flower, not who's wearing it). Probably one of the top 10 tuberose in my wardrobe.

Tuberose is quite a polarizing note in perfumes, but I basically love all its shades: lush floral, exotic, green, creamy honeyed, intoxicating and even animalic (due to the high concentration of indoles). Tuberose in Hauto is beautifully served and completes my collection because it's different from the ones I know. Crystal clear, exotically sweet and joyful from citrus, spices floating on a soapy cream musk. A pleasant, versatile and quite safe composition. By the way, hauto means "skin" in Esperanto. I really like these tiny Jeroboam extracts in handy art deco bottles.

I love this perfume :) usually i prefer tuberose and white flower, but sometimes i feel headache. But hauto is very softly and sweety, deeply sensitive at the same time. In the silages it gives off little bit like a FM dans tes brah!

I came SO close to buying this, until I realised it reminded me of Tuberoza by Nishane, already in my collection. This is a beautiful, slightly greener and spicier tuberose, with a little bit of pepper to help "sharpen" up and spice up the perfume a little. The tuberose here is ever so slightly greener and "cooler", personally i don't get much of the pineapple though I do get a green, slightly translucent tuberose. On my skin, the tuberose warms up pretty quickly to become the usual heady tuberose we all know and love - beautiful, but Tuberoza is already SUCH a beast that I don't need another one. This one is lovely, though.

It’s overwhelmingly tuberose, the type that’s powdery with coconut facets, so more dry and nutty rather than sweet and heady. The musk gives it some lift, preventing it from getting too dense or heavy. Then there’s a light and short lived pineapple/bergamot in the opening that comes across as a vague tartness, after 20 minutes it seems to completely dissipate. It’s a very simple and straightforward tuberose scent that doesn’t develop or change much over the life of the composition. The ingredients seem very high quality, natural smelling, and long lasting. But it’s still a pass for me.

on me this is a musky tuberose with a bit of pineapple and bergamot. i think i get some more pineapple after a few minutes, but it just adds a sweetness to the tuberose and isn't all that distinguishable. the musk is quite strong along with tuberose, and it sort of softens the edges of the tuberose as well. i like this but white musk can go weird at times. here it doesn't get too sharp but has a sort of airiness. the tuberose is not indolic at all, and i personally wish the musk was toned down a bit more but it's still pretty for warm weather.

Over the past few years I have bought, and then sold—sometimes within a few months—several Tuberose centric perfumes. I’m not going to claim to be an Tuberose expert, but over time I’ve become pickier regarding this flower. And I noticed some of the upvoted similar Tuberose perfumes are also ones that didn’t wow me, and never compelled me to make a purchase That said, you probably know where this review is going. Hauto didn’t do anything for me. The pineapple note is the unique addition to this composition, but it’s not enough to push it into any new territory. Here it’s coming across like a fully ripe juicy lemon with some sugar sprinkled on top. My summary: this is not a bad scent in any way, but I have Tuberose scents in my collection that I love—and this isn’t a love.

I wanted to love Hauto as tuberose is one of my favorite notes, but this tuberose is just waaaaay too well-behaved and 'safe'. I like my tuberoses BIG, a la Fracas and Carnal Flower, or with a weird twist, like the masterpiece that is Nuit de Bakelite. So, Hauto, while pretty and "okay", just does NOT inspire me to open my wallet. I could imagine a lot of people enjoying this, because it's a very easy tuberose and perfect for everyday wear, office-appropriate and all that jazz, but just not the one for me. I've realized I need my white florals to be borderline offensive ;-)

I get a tart & tangy tuberose blended with bergamot in the opening. As it dries down I get more of that sharp tuberose with a hint of musky/spicy rose. Leans a bit too feminine but not bad for her, hers & she just not for him, his or he... aka ME! 🤣 It definitely settles very nice & becomes not so feminine in the dry down & I can most certainly see a man pull this one off. I bought the discovery set with the entire jeroboam line up & I'm head over heels in love with this house. Masterfully blended...

Trovo l'apertura eccessivamente pungente, ma la tuberosa è frizzante e dalla persistenza incredibile, forse è una fragranza un po' mono-nota, personalmente non sento altro che tuberosa e muschi un po' da lavanderia La scia è buona.

When I spray it on my skin, it does smells like Diptyque Do Son edp version to me.

Upon initial spray this went straight to strong spicy note, overpowering any pineapple, bergamot or tuberose that may have been there. Very masculine. I would not consider this a fem fragrance at all!!! Once settled, I only got some type of burnt or cigar type smell mixed with strong incense smell. Once in a blue moon I would possibly get another note...maybe tuberose for 1/10 of a second but my nose would fill with the burnt, spice incense smell before ever getting to it. After complete dry down hours later, all I got was a softer version of the burnt, spice incense and maybe took on more of a burnt piece of wood along with incense. I personally do not see the need for any woman to EVER smell like this, although it may work on someone else's skin chemistry where it brings out the other notes.

tuberose Is the only thing I get out of it was hoping for some pineapple

Really good semi spicy/sweet white floral. I happen to love this kind of scent but this is not for everyone as it comes across a bit heavy and full bodied. Has just enough panache to make this unisex, but one has to have confidence to wear something like this as you will be noticed with this on. Has a seductive and exotic spirit to it that I love. In the dry down it becomes a little soapy and clean smelling, I do wish the showstopping opening lasted longer. Still I want a full bottle of this asap.

If it wasn't for the Tuberose it would have gone bland just like the others although this is quite bland... Musc lime, Maybe pineapple with an overdose of tuberose. Then after awhile the spices comes up with mild roses. I don't regret sampling this house because curiousity would have overwhelmed me although none of their fragrances captured my senses or even made me applause for their unique creation as all of their creation are quite common, normal, and outdated but with high quality ingredients.
