I've had the pleasure of using Oriento by Jeroboam, a fragrance that stands out for its versatility and enduring appeal. One of my top 5 rose fragrances. The stand out notes are obviously the rose accord and the patchouli, but the rose is clearly the star of the show. Not at all soapy or bright. Maybe a bit jammy, but It’s a darker rose, extremely unisex. This fragrance is absolutely stunning. Longevity is great and projection is pretty good for awhile before mellowing down to a skin scent. I wonder if the extrait is necessary. I think I would prefer an eau de parfum for half the price, or better better performance for an extrait at this price, but it’s so beautiful that even at this price, I will always have a bottle in my collection. Just stunning.

Gorgeously opulent and compelling; even if it's not all that original, it's put together with great style from some detectably great ingredients. Very strong projection, sillage and longevity too. Tremendous poise mean it's beautifully well balanced, never "too much" even though it's so punchy, not too sweet, nuanced and classy all the way down. There's a deliciously almost-leather phase on my skin about 2-3 hours in which is worth the trip all on its own. BUT: a final twist: either the styrax or patchouli goes a little too bitter for comfort on me in the last few hours. Definitely worth a go for any dark-spicy-rose lovers.

I smelt this around a month ago in Harvey Nichols not expecting much as I had never heard of the brand jeroboam but honestly this is now one of my favourite fragrances because of its unique rose and spicyness in the dry down of this. This fragrance also has brilliant performance and is definitely going to be a future pickup. I also love the bottle design especially in the 30ml but also the price is bang on £95 for 30ml might seem a bit much but it is definitely worth the money Smell 9.5/10 Sillage 9.3/10 Longevity 9.3/10 How much i would pay. 30ml: £100

This is a very well made and balanced fruity rose with a slightly earthy saffron and refreshing lemon top notes as well as a slightly mentholated styrax it’s wakes up your senses. Then it becomes a rich slightly heady red rose with some slightly tart apple keeping the rose from becoming too cloying. Really love this. It is extrait strength so very strong and concentrated two spray max or it’s too much. Lovely modern yet rich rose for active people. Not spicy or oudy so it’s a very nice change.

Unique, elegant and perfectly unisex. The fruit and ylang ylang provide a unique addition to this saffron, rose, oud, patchouli combo. I get a dark, sensual rose with a juicy dry down. I find this scent intoxicating and get many compliments when I wear it. Rose + Oud is a fave combo of mine, and this blend takes the cake. Has quickly become my most reached for fragrance this winter

More of a spicy rose musk. Not getting oud. Doesn’t smell boring like a worn out rose oud that’s for sure. Y’all are crazy on that one. I know the marketing department even says that but nah. It’s great. Smells thick and wonderful. Reminds me of stuff but nothing smells just like it.

This is like eating a rose jam when you spray it initially. Just have two sprays coz it's too potent. The dry down of oriento is very similar to that of Tomford Noir de noir IMO. Don't blind buy it.

Yeah it might be typical (sweet jammy rose), but it's done really well and the ingredients are of quality; it's not awfully complex but still a better attempt than most western-oriental.

I have had Oriento for a good few weeks now, one of the three Jeroboam fragrances that I had requested from my friend. I have mostly experienced it indoors at home, and once on a quick grocery shop to test it out. Again, it is so oppressively hot today and I needed to pick up some fresh dill, so I sprayed a couple of squirts of Oriento and set off sweltering and melting in 30 degree inner city heat. Though it lasts on my skin and clothes for way over 24 hours, and it fills an entire room, following you around, I was not entirely sure how I felt about it. My friend had recommended me away from Oriento as too feminine, but it has to be the one out of all the Jeroboams I have tested that I immediately enjoyed and would consider wearing thanks to the obvious rose I could smell. I saw it as a pretty scent, a bright and sparkling rose in the opening with similarities to Ralp Lauren Romance, a scent that my sister used to wear in the summer ten years ago, followed by a more creamy rose in the dry down. Today, with a gentle breeze swirling around me as I left my flat, I could definitely smell powdery lemon. At the same time, out in the open air, I realised that it was saffron that I was detecting probably more intensely than the rose. I knew all this time that there was something I could not quite put my finger on. However, it is not a rich and complex, leathery saffron note, but more the floral and waxy type experienced when good quality Iranian saffron is still cold from being kept in the fridge. This is something that makes Oriento even more bright and playful when combined with the fruity notes. Within about 20-30 minutes, graceful, creamy sandalwood, ylang ylang, and musk envelop the rose to give it an overall milky, buttery softness. At first I was reminded of rose milkshake, but then I thought harder, and I realised that it is much closer to the north Indian winter street food 'Dowlat ki Chaat', a sweet delicacy made entirely of airy milk foam laced with rose and saffron. It is said to "warm up your heart as it melts in your mouth", and Oriento does manage to leave me with a sort of pure and child-like joy. Among the many deep, resinous, and warm oud-rose scents I own, I find Oriento to be very refreshing, an oriental Rose scent that I can actually wear in the summer, as it genuinely gives me a sense of cooling relief. Edit: Almost one year later and my partner has made it a firm favourite, using it so often that I will soon have to purchase a 100ml bottle.

Oriento has pretty much the quintessential middle eastern note blend of Rose, Patchouli, Saffron and Musk. You would have sniffed this combo of notes in many frags and brands ranging from Montale n Mancera to Tiziana Terenzi, MFK's Oud line, all the way upto Roja Dove. So nothing unexpected or mindblowingly original here. On the plus side, the quality of ingredients used is obviously top notch and being extrait concentration, performance is monstrous. I put on 2 sprays from a small 5 ml decant and it was too much. From a price to performance ratio, this is far better value for money than some of the other luxury niche brands I mentioned. I paid roughly about $15 for my 5 ml and even that is going to last me a long time. If you already have a lot of Middle eastern smelling frags and oils in your collection, this would be redundant but if you are looking to add just one or two high quality frags with these kind of middle eastern notes into your fragrance wardrobe, this is one of the best examples of the genre. Very Impressed.

Oriento opened with a powerful, effervescent, fruity rose and a tart green apple. With 2 sprays this projected for about 5-6 hours and remained mostly a skin scent for another 10 hours with occasional clouds of scent wafting off my hand here and there. It remained pretty linear overall with the only change I noticed being the bright opening notes falling back into the soft background as it dried down. This was my first wearing and I liked it—but not enough to buy a bottle at this point. This is strong and long-lasting on my skin which often eats up fragrances. I’ll easily get several more wearings out of this small decant.

It's a nice fragrance, but that's it...it's nice; the opening is strong and somewhat powerful, but after that it's just a nice blend of rose and patchouli. The rose is deep and sits atop the patchouli, I get slight cashmeran or something similar. I do get the sandalwood, but I don't get styrax or many of the other notes listed. It's a good fragrance, but—for me—it doesn't have the same impact that Vinina Muracciole's other works do. A nice modern take on a vintage perfume. I like it, I don't love it, but there is definitely people out there who will slay with this as their scent.

This one has a very generic and unimpressive opening. However, the real character comes to play during the dry down. While arguably there is nothing new here, this fragrance still manages to create a nice scent bubble at dry down with good longevity. It’s more soapy musky rose and I personally do not smell real oud. Overall pleasing and good 30ml bottle for travels. Shukran Habibi!

This really reminds me of fresh out of the package rose flavoured shisha. It's smells sweet and somehow sticky, with a little darkness. It's a pretty basic rose scent but the performance is fantastic.

Really like this one from jeroboam was given a free sample along with some others and this one really sticks out. Think ill need to pick up a full bottle soon.

Unfortunately this is too redundant to be full bottle worthy. The opening starts off as a typical rose Oud but with a very tart lemon note, it kinda smells like preserved/pickled lemons with rose. This stage is 90% similar to Gold Rose Oud by Tiziana Terenzi. After about 30 minutes the lemon dissipates and it almost seems gourmand with a prominent caramel/praline feel. This stage reminds me of a ton of similar fragrances such as Oud Bouquet, Velvet Rose Oud, Oud Mood, Oud Silk Mood, Shaghaf Oud, etc. Out of all those I think it’s closest to Velvet Rose Oud from Jo Malone, but still very close to all of them. Unfortunately Oriento doesn’t stand out from this group in any way. I even find it a little underwhelming compared to the other. There’s simply no need for this one to exist, the genre is far too flooded with similar high quality fragrances.

Woody rose in something very oily - is that the styrax? I have definitely smelt this note in a couple of other perfumes, but I don't know what it is.... the only thing I've had that has smelt like this was a foundation: Too Faced Face & Body foundation had that same oily note. It is also present in a perfume Fragrantica doesn't have listed: I ❤️ Revolution Nude Blush. It's like... a pear note with man-sweat-like saffron note, INITIALLY. Same saffron note as in NCP Olfactives Saffron&Oud - I suspect it's actual saffron. When this dries down fully it's a pretty pleasant perfume, but strange: oily saffron-rose-pear-like. I think that calling this one "warm spicy" is correct, but it's not a dry spice - not at all. It's a very oily oily spice.

Rose oud......... again I believe I have the ultimate rose oud already It is a category I don’t care for anymore It’s definitely pleasant sadly not good enough to take a place instead of the masterpieces I already have Longevity is good projection goes strong for 4 hours then it just drops suddenly Maybe someone who never smelled rose oud before will fall heads over heels for this scent

Scratchy patchouli scent that almost smells like rose/oud combo. Very dry and spicy and little soapy. I don’t really like it, it’s too heavy for me. Hard pass.

Smells a tad lake glass cleaner and rose

I tried it hoping it would be a nice blend and a pleasant scent, but it didn’t turn out that way. It feels like something went wrong — there’s a note that really bothers me. I only tested it once on my skin, and throughout the whole time, I kept getting a smell in the background that reminded me of laundry detergent tablets or medicinal materials. I think it might be caused by something called “styrax,” and I didn’t like it.

Kind of rosy, kind of boring and generic, it reminds me faintly of roses dried between book sheets. If you've smelled 5 niche orientals, you've definitely smelled this one. After ~30min it gets some fougere notes out of nowhere, like pine trees or something, and it becomes so masculine you wouldn't believe.

Nothing new here at all. Oud rose combo that goes a bit sour on my skin. Not bad just not for me.

After sampling and reviewing over 1000 perfumes I know a few things about my chemistry. And when I saw Oriento’s note breakdown I had a strong feeling it was going to be a pass but I’m testing, despite my better judgement, anyway. It’s no surprise that this is upvoted similar to Lancôme’s Oud Bouquet, another scent I owned, tried to wear several times, then ultimately ended up selling my near full bottle. And I would also guess that Oriento also has a synthetic Oud but it’s not listed. What I am picking up is a strong bathroom cleaner type scent. I think the combination of styrax, saffron, rose and iso e super is giving me this vibe. It may not be fair to judge a perfume only an hour in, but I know what I like and I can never get on board with this kind of pungent opening. It’s a rare hate from me, and I’m washing....no scrubbing Oriento off.

I do love a heady, strong, rich Oriental so I was game to try this. Starts off explosive and at first it hit me as a dark green, oudy floral. Without knowing the notes I thought this might have oud, vetiver, cypress and some kind of sweet flowers involved. There is also a noticeable animalic note I thought it might be myhrr or civit. Well, I was way off, as this is a complex patchouli floral scent. Here the patchouli is presented in two ways: the green herbaly aspect (which I initially thought was cypress) and the dirty skunky aspect (which I thought was oud or civit). Then there is rose and apple which brings the sweet bright faucet. Overall this is a dark, somewhat sweet and dramatic scent with a lot going on. I wear Salvador Ferragamo Incense Suede, Sahara Noir, David Yurman Special Edition Extract, Silences, Estee Lauder Mystic Wood and Floraorintal. As much as I like this, I don't feel the need to add this to my current stash. If you are in the market for a complex pronounced Oriental then I recommend this highly. You can get this at a very reasonable price, and for the quality of this juice its a steal. I will say the dry down is a nice lemony sandalwood (what I initially thought was vetiver) Reminiscent of ManRose, Marni Rose or maybe something from Raw Spirit. Runs slightly masculine in the dry down, but overall a beautiful experience. Thumbs up.

I don't blame them calling this Oriento, as this smells like the cheap Arabian fragrances that you can get for around 15$ to 20$ in the Middle East specially the Gulf Area. This house might don't have the knowledge of the Arabian heritage fragrances so instead of exploring they grabbed few fragrances from the Arabian market, got the concept, and created one that can fit the most. I can't deny that this has good quality but the idea of the fragrances is quite old, common, and outdated. Europeans, and Americans might love this if they don't have that knowledge of the Arabian fragrance heritage. This fragrance in short is Rose Saffron Patchouli & musc Blend them in a blender then you got Oriento By Jeroboam.

Its a big daddy of Montale Black Aoud .. both are on same page but this wins hands down, sandalwood & rose are more prominent here (black aoud has patchoulli & musk as prominent notes to my nose). current batch of montale & manceras have very poor longevity & sillage. hence sold off Black Aoud & picked this up . This is expensive with much better ingredients & the only perfume in which i enjoy prominent sandalwood note throughout. 2 sprays are enough for the whole day & NOW ITS MY FAV ORIENTAL FRAG.

i bought a sample pack of the house and i'm working my way through them now... oriento is a dense, rosey beast of a scent. it really ticks all the boxes for an oriental behemoth, but it's just a little too metallic for mine. a lot of scents of this ilk sacrifice a little too much in the quest to become epic and monolithic, and in doing so, go a little too big in the metallic accord category. i'm entranced by the rose/patch/saff mix, but that metallic accord is too much...

Big thick quite masculine rose, definitely unisex. It is similar to Oud bouquet but without the smokiness of the oud that has in it. Replacing the oud is a kind of odd, almost menthol but not, fougere kind of smell. Great longevity & sillage. Something about it reminds me of red wine. Something tannin like? But overall a big butch rose. It gets rosier as it dries. But then really quite aggressively masculine drydown. For what it's worth my son hated it.

My absolute favourite perfume. Fantastic symbiosis between rose and saffron. It opens with a hint of apple and yang-ylang. Then it dries down to rose and saffron. In the base you can smell patchouli and sandalwood. My absolute signature scent. Easy and tasty aroma. You can feel this perfume for at least 16h. Scent 9/10 Longevity 11/10 Projection 11/10

I don't dislike it but for me it is quite reminiscent of those yellow citronella candles to keep the mozzies off... Perhaps the lemon is coming through too much for my liking. I'm new to Oud but I definitely get that quite strongly and its nice. This projects, don't overspray. Not full bottle worthy for me.

It's a pleasant scent to wear it at evening or night out. It does have a clone of MFK Silk mood with oud hint of OUD. It does shout out loud of once arrival if applied four sprays. Once again if you let it settle down for 30 minutes it does smell like MFK Silk Mood

So much sweet and green apple to me, which makes it different other rose-saffron-oud(skanky animalistic) combo, but It didn't work well. I think green apple's sourness and Saffron's metallic, medicinal (especially its iodine-like nuance) are not harmonized well.

saffron, smoked wood, oud, rose, sandalwood, cardamom. It is a rose/oud/saffron classic combo but with smoke in it. Robust sillage and long lasting. There are other fragrances of this combo that I like best.

Yet again another rose-oud perfume. Too expensive for what it is; PG 26 Isparta, or Floris 'a rose for...' are better choices, imo. And of course the 1000s Montale & co.

Opens nice, bit fruits and jammy in the mid, settles into an easy all purpose with the moderate personality to it.

Since I ve found it, don t wanna use any other. The very best perfume ever.
