Unue

What I pick up the most in Unue is a burst of indolic jasmin (it last 5 min and then smooth out), the kind that you find in Pure Poison, mixed with the patchouli and the musk that gives a clean linen vibe but still damp and about to be air dried outside on a fresh sunny day (insisting on the fresh because the anise and the bergamot are very subtle but give somehow some lightness and crispness to the whole composition) Underneath that first layer you'll find the beautiful creaminess and roundness of the sandalwood and Ylang Ylang blend which in the dry down give one the most beautiful sandalwood I ever smelled. There is an added sweetness to the scent but I can't really pick up any of the fruity notes individually, it kinda gives a chypre vibe to it though. It is very smooth and creamy and classy and IMO full bottle worthy. I keep revisiting it every month or so as I have several samples of it and everytime I fall in love again!! As it's an extrait de parfum It's very veryyyy long lasting. On my skin I've got 8h to 10h, with 6h of moderate projection. (ok, sprayed it on my favorite winter scarf, and on clothes it last forever...like weeks!!!) Love it, it's a very good transition fragrance (fresh spring days - warm fall days)! Banana? This opening reminds me of a Marc Jacobs offering - Daisy. I love a good floral banana scent, which is where my appreciation for Ylang-Ylang comes from. My nose is particularly sensitive to detecting those notes. Otherwise it’s a very pleasant juicy floral. There’s a powdery metallic/juicy note that supports the florals until the dies down to the musk and sandalwood. Another comparison I have is to Initio’s Psychedelic Love. The middle notes combine with the bergamot, ylang-ylang, and sandalwood which create a similar “feeling” I get when I smell Psychedelic Love. The base notes are not that complicated, white musk, sandalwood and patchouli. Powdery white musk. This is not a particularly ground-breaking fragrance but I think I could smell it all day and not be turned off.

After ordering a bunch of samples from Jeroboam and Jovoy, the two that stood out the most to me and quickly joined my 'must buy' list were Unue and Musc Pallas from Jovoy. It was a tough choice which one to invite home first, but I finally chose Unue (Musc Pallas will definitely be coming later!). The plum is most dominant on me -- one of the reasons I fell in love with it -- followed by the jasmine and musk; the way these notes blend together is pure heaven and absolutely eye-rolliningly intoxicating! I also appreciate this being an extrait de parfum -- it lasts a good long while, lingers on clothing (always a plus in my book, provided you love the scent!), and surrounds you with a pretty, plummy fragrant bubble. In a word: delightful!!

Wearing this perfume I feel like it's largely incomplete. It's like spraying directly the base notes of a fragrance. Like a theme is missing and you arrive instantly at the end of the song; without any development of the speech, missing flowery and everything else. Don't really know how it could be compared with Samsara extrait, which is a poem instead.

This is another stunning scent by Jeroboam! Superbly blended as usual. I had a few samples of it and tried it again today before ordering a full bottle. One of these scents you keep smelling on your hand all day long. So gorgeous and ethereal (doesnt mean it is weak at all). So classy and quite unisex so probably a tad more on the feminine side.

I got a free sample of this one and I love it. It is a lovely floral bouquet on a musky base. It reminds me of classical French perfumes - very sophisticated and classy.

I’m flummoxed by the low average rating. This is a gorgeous clean woody floral with some musk that has presence and lasting power. I love it 🤍🤍🤍

It's so feminine. Unlike others of Jeroboam - Ambra, Insulo etc., this one is more fruity.

Unue is like a femme version of Origino, and to no surprise it is also designed by Vanina Muracciole. Just like Origino and allmost everything else she’s designed, Unue was an instant love for me! I think both fragrances use the same (or very similar) muscs, sandalwood and bergamotte. Compared to Origino sandalwood is way more prominent in Unue. The spicy juniper and nutmeg found in Origino have been replaced by jasmine and ylang-ylang in Unue. There’s some resemblance with Samsara (2007 EdT version is the only one I’ve smelled), but Unue is way less floral, less soapy, less powdery - and way more woody, citrusy and spicy. I keep getting whifs of this throughout the day, and can even smell it for 2-3 days on clothes.

This smells like a clean, soapy floral. It's not soapy like aldehydic-soapy, but more creamy-soapy, like bath creams. I get fresh linens, fresh summer air, rich soap and white flowers on a sunny day. This is elegant and relaxed. I love this, it's that white clothing type of perfume. Longevity is great, projection is more intimate. +

Quite an unusual and interesting scent. Very woody sandalwood-ish but floral as well. The ylang-ylang is quite noticeable and the spiciness of it is undeniably unique. Definitely unisex but not a safe blind buy. Eternal lasting power.

I am surprised as I am reading the notes. I didn't detect pineapple. It lasts very well. I felt it was a very floral forward fragrance. The patchouly is light. Very nice, but will not be purchasing a FB as I am very picky.

I do really like this. I smell tangy fruit and that clean/fresh scent that reminds me of hair salons. The pineapple note also gives a CK One vibe. It's a very well blended perfume, too. Strong like!

My body chemistry turns this fragrance into something very sour and unpleasant, but gosh, does this smell gorgeous on my boyfriend!

a flower bomb. is a really great scent very long lasting and feminine.

Musky Jasmine with some fruits on the top notes... Been there done that is what you get as a first impression. Maybe if you’re just into niche or something but for a brand coming out of one of the worlds best perfume stores I would expect more. To top it off given it used to be a selfridges exclusive I’m left unimpressed. Nothing innovative here IMO. It’s a decent white floral. Jeroboam is a brand I would’ve appreciated much more were it priced similar to Jovoy. Arguably Jovoy’s offerings definitely feel more premium than its sister brand. Gozo is decent maybe better than average price though is definitely a factor with Gozo. Oriento is a sillage bomb not novel but huge presence. Boha I would’ve probably gotten a FB at Jovoy pricing. Hard pass. I dont even recommend sampling coz its so generic to me.

Y'all I LOVE musks, and almost every note in this composition are notes I usually run towards! There's no reason I shouldn't be obsessed with this fragrance. But sadly, much to my surprise, I do not care for this blind buy at all. I tested on paper and barely detected anything. Tested on one arm, and got a very sterile musk but no other notes. Full body wear today and omfg... this is a nightmare. I'm instantly transported to the elevator of a train station where you are, without a doubt, greeted by urine smells. BUT maybe the train station is in a city where the majority of the population are clean vegans. This comes off to me as a clean urine scent. I dare not wear this outside. This must be washed off. Ugh, I hate when blind buys go wrong.

Jeroboam Unue is like a very nice and feminin drugstore perfume from the 90s. And I am saying this as a compliment. As a millennial I find it appealing, a juicy floral with a very feminine white musk base. I remember the time when we were turned off by our moms spicey oriental and heavy perfumes and wanted to smell like fruity shampoo - this is it. Nothing special but I am quite enjoying my sample. I detect exotic fruits and strong jasmine, but I find it a really thin creation. Can not really detect the woody patchouli base and I am missing some depth to it. On blotter it was the most elegant and airy amongst all the Jeroboam scents but on my skin it stays heart note and musk heavy.

Na otwarciu czuję pieprz z anyżem, potem więcej anyżu. Potem to już doskonale zmieszana kompozycja. Puchowa i otulająca, pudrowa. Od samego początku zapach odbieram jako przeciętny. UNUE znaczy "niezwykłe/niesamowite". Zastanawiam się w jakim ujęciu? Oznacza też PIERWSZY, jako pierwszy biały flakon tej marki. Zapach bezpieczny, ale taki zwyczajny, dobry ale nic ponad to.

A blast from the past. The opening is so powerful, it almost drills through my nose. Then it settles down and has a heart scent, which is pleasant with florals, and dried down to a modern chypre. The drydown is to die for!! however, I can't leave through the opening. If anyone knows a perfume similar to the drydown, send me a DM. Not at all reminiscent of Samsara to my nose.

The notes looked promising but the jasmine remained way too indolic for me, over vague lightly spicy woods. Also I get a hint of furniture polish. V necessary to test this one on your skin. Surprised I don't care for one of Vanina's. The indole n polish dies away but the dry down feels too subtle n insipid. Also, overall, plum dominates

This scent is my guilty pleasure. I wouldn’t wear it to every occasion because I am in my late 20s and I feel like it just doesn’t suit my aesthetic. It’s more mature. It’s a very floral, but also has a soapiness to it with a sandalwood base that I love!! There is a unique patchouli in here that isn’t my fav but it gives this a unique kick just like with gozo. This lasts and projects forever. Smells to me like a floral aldehyde fragrance. Fresh out the shower. A lot like ghost in a shell if you’re familiar. That has a milk note that smelled off to me like goats however. With Unue There is something addictive about this yet funky as well. Super musky and clean like a luxury hair product , but the funk in this kinda gives fecal/stale breath. Idk . But it’s so faint in the background but I pick it up?! Anyone else?

I bought this will traveling last summer. It is definitely a long wearing white floral. I am wearing this today only because I am wishing spring was around the corner and at the rate we are going in NY, I think it will be here by May 🤔. This one on me is a super white floral that anyone can wear, I get none of the pink pepper or sandalwood, just flowers. It is a very beautiful strong white floral, with mucho projection. it maybe a little strong for a hot humid day, this maybe better for spring or a 70 degree day! In drydown it does become fruity floral on my skin but not in an immature way. As for a rating I will say this is a 10/10 in MHO! If you are not into florals stay away, this is not a safe blind buy at all !

This was my bridal scent. I got married by the beach (Bentota Sri Lanka) and the ceremony was at sunset. This wore well into the night! I did layer it with Guerlain’s Terracotta to get an extra dose of exotic summer goodness! But my oh my, was this gorgeous on its own! It is reminiscent of the 80’s version of Samsara but this has a much more pronounced musk and fruit accord. The Sandalwood, as in samsara, is to DIE FOR! I’m never gonna regret wearing this on my wedding day! What a fucking legendary choice!

This is so well blended, I can't pick out a single note, but it all works so perfectly together. Not too peppery, not too citrusy, or too sharp from the anise. It reminds me of something I can't quite place, like being near a pool with a cedar or pine deck. It also evokes a liquidy green color, for some reason. It's warm but not spicy, and very clean, but not powdery. I just love it, especially for late summer/early fall. Lasts 8 hours on my skin, great longevity.

The opening is a bit harsh, almost reminiscent of furniture polish. As it settles, I percieve jasmine, woods and a lift from citrus and pink pepper. The overall impression is floral, musky and slightly citrusy over a clean woody base. A difficult fragrance for me to describe. While I can appreciate the composition, it wasn't a favourite.

Samsara! the 89 version? is that you.....? Oh my, i never thought that it smells exactly like the 89" version of samsara! the first edition! Sandalwood, musk, sandalwood water, touch of clean soup, sambac, ylang, & touch of bergamot. This is beauty in a bottle. Beautiful.

Smells like perfumed leather/ suede to me. Like you're sniffing the inside of a leather bag, where some make-up has been leaking...

Plum at it’s bests clean and cystal, a bit of jasmine that maybe makes it a bit more feminine. Lasts all day

it smells like cleaning products to me, it unfortunately gave me a headache and made me nauseous
