Jil Sander Woman II

Woman Two is the call of the wild: this chypre unravels an array of florals rendered furry and feral by soap-lathered slinking skankies. After the immediate flash of aldehydes, there is that "standing up the hair on my neck" bergamot and carnation blend ("frisson"). This merges into a leathery pelt (hello castoreum), perspiring orange blossom and jasmine in heat (courtesy of civet), a bitter herbal powder and dirty plush surface. Fantastically ripe and radiant, undulating and throbbing in the wake of my body as I wear it. It's a potent aura, a witches' brew, with a rubbery IBQ fetish back note in the dry down; unripened fruit, incense punk stix, and arching moss spine. An eminently wearable animalic chypre and a marvel among designer fragrances, this one has quickly become one of my all-time favorite chypres. I tip my hat to Barbara Herman for enlightening me through her book, "Scent and Subversion." This one is indeed a subversive scent.

What a wonderful scent. I only have the shower gel, and that alone makes me go crazy. I hope some day I will be able to get my hands on the juice, because as of now all the bottles I found so far are way more than I am willing to pay for a frag. I love fragrances, but I set my limits as to how much to spend on a bottle. And as much as I love perfumes and eau de toilettes, I try to be reasonable. But I have been lucky so many times before with great finds, maybe I will get lucky again. This is gorgeous.

Love, love! Chypre are my favourite and this one especially. I have managed to buy me a full bottle 50ml for €7 only. I'm over the moon so happy. My old one has only about 3ml left so i was scared to use it. Now i have it back this old school chypre. I think it's even better as elixer another great chypre from the past. I will continue hunting for the first chypre made by coty. Love to try that one. But for now i will enjoy my bargain buy😁

At last my bestest perfume ever! Wow the administrators are quick here girls and boys to fulfill your requests?! So about the frag: It is even better than Jil Sander III. Potent, long lasting and it gives you an extra layer of the aura. A little bit sweet chypre, not a headache provoker, but with lots and lots of moss. As good as the Capucci de capucci (purple box).

This on me is like a softer more sheer Russian Leather type scent. It reminds me of Elsha Russian Leather in flavor. It's very nice, warm soft leather (jacket not purse suede) with feminine florals. It doesn't have the smokiness or rum going on like they often do, so it's a nice alternative.

I guess Action you are talking about the 1978 Jil Sander Woman (I). Yes I guess it would even be better than II. It was made well before the restrictions in allergy indulgent ingredients of the industry?! Unfortunately, never sniffed it.

oww I so love this perfume. Wore it a lot in my late teens and early twenties. A girlfriend of mine had a mini and I always snifft the bottle. Its a fresh scent, a bit green with a soft spicy undertone. When you put it on you can smell its freshness from the neroli and bergamot and then the flowers came in. on my skin I can detect the lily of the vally and I think the orchid wich drys down with the oakmoss and patchouli. this perfume stays allday. it gets warmer while youre wearing it.To bad its discontinued. Absolutely a masterpiece Ive got a sample of this to try it again. And its weird but I dont like it as much as I used did 20 jears ago.The scent turns a bit sour on my skin now.maybe my skin type has changed I dont know.

Today I have tried my sample of vintage scent 79 again. And I find it has real similarity to woman 2. The same green opening and woody dry down. 79 is more wood and spicy but they do smell similar in the drydown

I asked to put number I in the database here, but no luck so far. I hope they find the notes and put it in later. I think I adore every Jil Sander, it is such a cannot go wrong house!

oh MG how many excelent jill fragrances and i dont have the oportunithy to finde here in sweden just some of them the new ones like style and sun ect too vrong !!
