It's the best, very lightly floral, high-end, sugarless, mojito-spearmint chewing gum you've ever smelled. And that's not a bad thing! Price aside, I really like it! I also have not tried any of the fragrances that it's being compared to, so there's that. 👍

Leaf opens as promised: green, herbal, and almost garden-wet, with that crushed-stem sharpness that always makes me brace myself a little. Think the underside of leaves, the fresh snap of sap. It reminds me, rather appropriately, of the idea behind Maison Margiela’s From the Garden, sans the tomato concentrate and vine. Or Diptyque’s L’Ombre dans L’Eau after someone talked it down from the ledge. Leaf is of the same general family of living green things, but les prickly, less theatrical, more composed. It has a translucent yet magnetic quality to it. Now, I've never tasted nor smelled the Black Krim Tomato before, but should Jil Sander's impression prove accurate, it is far less daunting of a scent than many might expect. Underneath, there is this mildly savoury aquatic hush that I really like. Nothing strong or oceanic or calone-like (safe), and maybe more so crushed herbs left beside a lake, damp stones nearby, the water holding everything in a cool green suspension. The herbal greenness feels slightly bruised, but the watery facet smooths it out before it can become too bitter or difficult. I really appreciate that it does not default to the usual clean-green cliché. It feels much closer to touching living greenery with wet fingers: stem, sap, herb, air. A little mineral-like, a little cool, zen yet also bustling with life. Not revolutionary, but very nicely done, truly. Wearable botany, and a very alive, crystalline species of leaf.

This is the first fragrance I sampled from this Jil Sander range and it is surely promising for the rest I’m about to sample. Leaf is a juicy, fresh and vibrantly green fragrance, which I am sure will have an addictive effect on many of its users. It’s right between being vegetal, like a tasty Mexican salsa and fragrant and floral like sweetened Moroccan mint tea. Suitable for summer.

It smells exactly like a leaf. Or like cut grass. No other notes. Just one green note. That being said, it's not a bad perfume. I think it is done well. If you like nature and want something that is minimalistic, not sweet, just natural, this is a good scent for you. Smelled at Bloomingdales. Did not test on the skin. This brings back memories of tomato picking in my garden when I was a kid. This smells exactly like a tomato leaf in the beginning and once it sits it turns into mint/lime my opinion. If you're going for that vibe this is for you!

made an account just to say I was disappointed. first impression was that it was a really boring green and powerfully chemical scent. got past the nausea and wore it out. it was very strong, almost nauseatingly minty? dry down smelled better, but initial notes still hurt my head bad. maybe I'd liken it to powdery and fresh floor cleaner.

I agree with the previous reviews. Boring mint and cardamom fragrance. No sillage and weak performance. For some reason though, this costs $315.

I'm not sure if this officially has an actual tomato leaf note but the way the very naturalistic, slightly bitter mint is interacting with the aldehydes is super evocative of it. You get a combination of fresh tomato leaf going back and forth with an extremely realistic scent of rubbing freshly picked mint between your fingers, and that slightly bitter and bracing greenness pairs perfectly with the juicy, sweet and fruity lime here. Simple and doesn't evolve too much but what's here is an amazing and extremely natural and realistic green garden-y scent. Projection and longevity are solid for this type of scent profile.

citrus and the soft, semi-sweet crispness of spearmint chewing gum, elevated into perfume status with the elegance of aldehydes, lending a mildly waxy, luxurious undertone to it all. Simple yet very pleasent, and a type of sour-green herbal scent that is more mellow than sharp. Shortly after applying I pick up more lime and I'm reminded of Guerlain Homme's mojito accord. The aroma is very soft and presents itself as a pastel wave of sweet grass, flowing in the wind. Eventually it becomes a little flat and less interesting to the point of vanishing and feeling rather mundane unfortunately.

Instantly got flashbacks of being served a bowl of Vietnamese pho, but more specifically the plate of herbs/veggies that tends to accompany it (generally things like Thai basil, culantro, bean sprouts, lime). That’s not a bad thing, as I like the smell of those things (fresh and bright) but I don’t tend to gravitate towards gourmands. And due to the association I have a hard time imagining I would wear this.

Like a sugar-free mojito spun through a kaleidoscope, it’s a fresh and fun green thing better suited, like most of this line, to a $120 tin can of CDG Green Series (or maybe even cheaper...designer flanker?). But price aside, I enjoy it. It has something in it that lasts and lasts so you will get performance, even if the composition becomes pretty bare past the 4 hr mark. 3.5 out of 5.

Probably the least interesting from the line. A minty, viney green scent with a sweet, vaguely rhubarb-y undercurrent. Somewhere between Shi-so from Nomenclature and Signature from Aedes.

I love this it’s a strange fresh herbal lime tomato leaf smell at first then dries down to a great hot weather daytime scent very bright and projects very different and enjoyable
