I think its time that I review this because it deserves some attention. My father owned this cologne when I was a senior in high school. I would always steal some sprays before going on a date or trying to impress someone. Why? Because its so damn good and extremely unique. Everyone would ask me what I was wearing and my bold answer was "don't worry, its too hard to find". haha! the balls on that kid. I was eventually gifted a bottle when I left to college and I still own it (about 50% remaining). It really was hard to find and expensive in those days. It's a fragrance that I will always cherish. The notes are spot on -- woody, spicy, but with a sweet characteristic. It's masculine but tender, not an in-your-face-hairy-chested monster. Performance is phenomenal; two sprays max and you will be noticed. Of course, my bottle is almost 20 years old, so I don't know what the current version is like. If you like the notes described, check this out. There may be testers at high-end department stores -- Look for it! Grade: A+

A real hidden tressuer.. it smells like a smooth Platinum Egoist and a mix off a Nishane i cant remember the name off..

This is an excellent smelling, mass appealing 90s fragrance that no one really knows about. I was sent a bottle from a friend who thought I’d like it, and they were right. It’s nothing groundbreaking or niche, but it’s definitely above average quality for a designer, and smells slightly familiar yet unique at the same time. Upon first spray it’s very fresh, slightly sweet, and very pleasing. It definitely smells like a 90s aromatic masculine, nothing too complex, abrasive, or modern, just very clean, simple, and a touch of sweetness to give it a more sexy/gentle character. It really does remind me of “darker” CK Eternity, the original Eternity formulations, not the more cheap/synthetic reformulations of the more recent years. It also really, really gives me similar vibes as YSL Lhomme Lintense, it feels like a mix between the fresh/casual CK Eternity and the warm/sexy YSL. As a kid who grew up in the 90s, I have always had a soft spot for CK Eternity and the more 90s scents, so there is probably a bit of nostalgia that factors into my enjoyment of this one. There are only four notes listed, but I suspect either there are probably more that just aren’t listed, or it’s just blended in a masterful way to bring out new accords from these fairly simple notes. There is a sort of slightly fruity/floral accord which actually kind of reminds me of grape flavoring, I actually get a very similar accord from YSL L’Homme L’intense, and I can’t recall smelling this same accord anywhere else except these two. It’s a sort of masculine floral/leather accord which seems to combine together with amber notes to give off a bit “grapey” accord. The quality of ingredients here is what impressed me most along with the excellent longevity. As it dries down, it brings out more of the warm, beautiful, and resinous sandalwood and amber accords, which makes it more creamy and seductive. It gets slightly powdery along with this creaminess, which is really nice and soothing. I really, really enjoy the base notes here and the way it dries down, it’s the quality of the sandalwood and amber note here that impressed me the most about this fragrance: nothing overly synthetic or chemically like so many of the 90s masculine fragrances, it’s very resinous and beautiful. All in all, nothing groundbreaking or mind blowing, but it’s very, very well done in its complex simplicity... it brings out the best qualities of a fresh/casual scent and pairs that with the warm/creamy/sexy elements flawlessly. Not offensive in any way, it’s very safe and mass appealing, and may smell slightly familiar to those around you, but still unique enough on its own to warrant positive feedback and appreciation from even those with very large fragrance collections. Projection and quality of ingredients are definitely above average. Excellent for a casual night out, even a date, and fitting for all seasons and age ranges, though it leans a bit more youthful and casual.

Jivago 24K.... It is definitely not a common scent and not that easy to find anymore. I had to think longer than usual to describe the scent. Imagine a fabric softener dryer sheet falling and laying on the moist ground of a dense forest. Green sweetness from the vetiver, warm and soft spiciness from the cardamom on a creamy woody sandalwood base. Not overly complex but we'll blended and a good alrounder. The gold flakes give it a nice touch which one usually only get from niche perfume brands. It's not a cheapie but not expensive either. Should be part of a collection.

I just received a new sample of this cologne in the mail today. I don't know how to describe it's scent. It's sort of sweet but not from flowers,etc. It smells very similar to "Bene" Can't remember who it's by and it's probably discontinued. It was sold mainly in the 80's. This is a nice fragrance of woods and spice,but not to my liking for buying a bottle of it in the future.

This is the cologne that got me into fragrances. For a long time, it was the only cologne I had. I wore it night and day. I was heavily complimented every time I wore it - even at the office. People bought it because they liked how it worked on me. I always have a bottle on hand - I used to buy them to make sure I would have enough when they fell out of production and sale. Somewhere along the way, I must have picked up more than one poorer quality replica or knock-off. Some of them have been just horrible. I don't care. It was my signature cologne for a long time. It was my gateway into fragrances. It put me in touch with vetiver, sandalwood, and amber and, in its right form, is and was powdery in a way that I love to this day. I don't know you. I don't know what you think of this cologne or of this review. I do know this however: everyone should have a relationship with at least one cologne like I have had with this one. I hope you have. If you haven't, I hope you will.

Mmmm, interesting. Strong top notes, almost 'offensive' odor; but, when it dries down it smells better and better. final note that I get is a 'powdery' note. The fragrance is a little dated for me.
