Delusion

Well, this is right up my alley! I love incense in perfumery, and Delusion by JMP Artisan Perfumes, is such a wonderful incense based fragrance. The raw and pure incense is the star here, and all other notes are just gravitating around it, making it more potent and seductive. It is like entering an old, dark church, in an abandoned village, where only an old priest, who looks like he just came down from a painting, sits and prays. It is like a Bible covered in leather, with beeswax drips on every page. It is sinful, decadent and intoxicating. It is mysterious and crawls in every cell of the body and mind. It is distant and imposing. It is simply perfect!

Really impressed with this one from the JMP line...I bought a 4 set sample on Luckyscent & couldn’t wait to try them all after reading up on what their main accords were...I’m new to writing reviews & new overall to the niche perfume community, so I hope that I can at least do a decent job describing what notes stick out for me...I rely heavy on reviews on this site when deciding what I’m going to try next...so here’s to hoping I can help someone else out! At first smell (about 1-2 minutes after spraying fragrance on my wrist and waiting for it to dry) I can smell a very faint smell of incense-not too strong but not too sweet (similar to Egyptian musk but not as strong) as it begins to dry down it changes to the point where I can smell the amber & musk and I can definitely say it’s very unisex at this point-not leaning towards feminine but not masculine either...after about 3 hours I smelled my wrist and to my surprise the scent was still lingering-which surprised me that it lasted that long because it gave me the impression it was faint/light smelling and wouldn’t stick around! I can’t get enough of this! Definitely worth a try!

it may just be me but the opening of incense, pepper and etc is giving me olive vibes and a old fashioned wicker chair. I can't stop smelling my arm.

This is quite simple. Mostly labdanum that gives way to benzoin. The pure benzoin drydown is quite boring.
