THIS is what Metal Hurlant by Pierre Guillaume Paris should’ve resembled...since it shys too far away from the photorealistic, in your face muscle car identity, only to be somewhat commendable from a niche perspective (purely from the manufacturer claims). Opens up with a gasoline biased tire note, which is more like a new tire. I can tell that it’s composition involves at least bergamot skin, but it really doesn’t read like this at all, but rather it’s a new tire that had its cellophane wrapping just removed. Loving this aspect would be an understatement. It’s exactly the kind of tire smell I wanted from No Perfume by The Zoo—less smoky, and more tire rubber expression than smoke. The tire note was accomplished by a landslide, and further down in the drydown, you can definitely tell a mellow but present hot melting metal, and a grease accord, and a leather that when combining these heart notes, astonishingly, all meld together to still resemble a tire, though not as new, but maybe now it’s went for a test drive, but not smoky at all (infact, at no point does this become smoky nearly as much as No Perfume). It’s like immersing yourself of the horsepower of a sports car’s hood, grease was used to lubricate the appropriate parts, and the car is still scorching hot, you could almost smell the frame fuming, but your face is closer to the tire at the same time. It’s more complex than Xyrena 66, and much to my liking for that matter—this IS the muscle car interpretation in its rawest form. I’m not going to disparage Metal Hurlant completely, though its presentation on this imagery isn’t really accurate, they did nail the interior of the car pretty well (though, I’m sure there are others that are stronger than this). In fact, I would say that combining these two perfumes is like a fever dream come true. Combine further with Rich Mess Ryan Richmond? That would be dopamine torture at this point. I don’t get a whole lot of geosmin, probably minimal from this, but I can definitely detect some of the dark patchouli, oud, castoreum melding into the continued rubber interpretation with the heart notes. Styrax, since I own styrax absolute, isn’t particularly prevalent and acts more of a bias support in this perfume. If this could last for a few hours on skin, I’m sure it could last for quite a while, given that it’s an extrait, on garment, and is usually my preferred choice of application. I really feel like making this my new signature scent, but it would probably be a short lived venture given the cost per mL (1:1 for DSDurga's MSRP pricing, but fees/duties drives this up further), making this place quite high in terms of cost, but in retrospect, I’m speechless. I also like how you can control how this is sprayed [stream vs mist] so that you can make the application as dispersed or concentrated as you want, so that's a plus. + 1 * Gasoline/Fuel, Rubber -> [50/100], -- An excellent work of olfactory art by Jakub Pietrynka.

This is exactly what I’ve been looking for! I’m a huge fan of all kinds of toxic smells like gasoline, rubber, industrial glue, shoe lacquer etc. I always thought it’d be super fun to layer with them, but it’s difficult to find fragrances that lean into these notes instead of covering them up with other things It’s definitely very rubber forward, with a delicate smokiness that mixes with the heated metal note really well. Smells like engine grease and installing fresh new tires. The gasoline isn’t strong, but it is present. As the intense garage-ness slowly fades you can smell soil, oud and the gentler base notes of the fragrance that create a pleasant woody atmosphere. Great performance and quality compared to many who attempted to capture this smell

Wow! This is unique. Super aggressive, burnt tires, gasoline and leather. If old 600 hp muscle car engines could pick a favorite fragrance, this is it! Not unpleasant but use sparingly and probably not at work unless you work in a muscle car garage or you are a bouncer at a punk-themed nightclub. Glad I only got a small sample as it will take me a while to decide if this is wearable in public. Pretty impressive olfactory design if you ask me...

Smell of tires exchange garage. Very realistic. If You like Fat Electician by EtdO You might like this one. Why would any man want to smell like that? Only if You are office worker it might make sense to be more masculine this way
