Hemlock & Bergamot

Walked into my local JM store and asked to smell whatever archive scents they had, and this was among them. It is a dead on dupe for a scent I wore for years and has long been discontinued. It's a skin scent which I prefer. It lasts a full day on clothes, 5 or so hours on my skin. I have been wearing non stop for a month. Went back to the JM store and picked up a backup bottle because supposedly what the stores have is all there will ever be. Not all stores have it, but if you live near one and are interested, some have it. 100ml bottle

A lovely, delicate, soft kiss of spring! Emphasis on soft; the musk came through after the initial splash of bergamot and cucumber dissipated. An hour later, there wasn't a trace of anything left on my skin. Still, it's a pleasant little scent that's perfect for the arrival of spring. Not too bright, not too dark, it is as enjoyable (and fleeting) as a delightfully fresh spring day.

Petition to bring this lovely scent back!! Like acottong mentioned, this is a mix of fresh green and powdery notes, blended expertly. I had a bottle back when this collection was released and drained it within a month (30 ml). Today I ended up here by accident and it reminded me of how much I loved 4 years ago <3 So yes, I very much wish this was relaunched :)

Luminous and bright! Springtime in a bottle. Hemlock and Bergamot's top notes remind me very much of JML French Lime Blossom. There is a bright freshness that they both share. Sillage and longevity are a bit disappointing, though.

One of the best powdery scents from Jo Malone! I'm waiting for this scent to be added to the archive collection!

I love this, powdery and fresh. I wish they would re-release it!

This is lovely. Very much a green / floral mix. I get kind of a musty opening, kind of like when you pick fresh weeds and they're green and wet (is that the hemlock, maybe?). Then it mellows out to a softer floral and the mimosa element comes in – powdery but not in a fake powdery way. It comes across as very natural. It ends on an a soft sort of vanilla note that is lovely. Overall, the musty element is what makes this so beautiful to me – a unique green floral that will likely still appeal to traditional tastes.

Okay, call me crazy, but when sprayed on clothing, this smells like a fancy pants Mr. Bubble. On my skin, it’s starts out soft and powdery. As that mellows out, there is a subtle pop of citrus (think pith, not peel), and then it dries down beautifully to musky cedar goodness. Its like it starts out in spring with the soft floral, moves on to summer with the citrus, and ends in fall with the soft musky woods. It doesn’t know what it wants to be, and I love it. Also, the bottle is gorgeous.

This is a light, powdery gem that sits close to the skin. My coworker who tried it at the same time as I did immediately pegged it as “old lady scent!” It smells of white flowers and their vegetal cut stems, a hint of salt, honeysuckle and ozone. Sadly, the fragrance has both poor sillage and longevity. After the initial dry down, the fragrance lasted for only an hour on my skin.

This smells like a perfectly clean elemental angel or baby, BUT IN AN ELEGANT WAY. The heliotrope is sweet and gives a nectar effect, whilst the other notes smell like a tiny natural oasis. Lasts longer and projects better than most Jo Malone fragrances. Reminded me somewhat of L'Eau d'Hiver by Frederic Malle.

Light bright and luminous powdery. Very clean and soft. Definitely better silage and longevity than expected from JM and from something soft like this. Bottle is very cute too. Nice surprise. This was my blind buy from the collection and I love it.

Extremely powdery. Reminds me of some expensive makeup powder scent from my grandma. Still a nice scent but too mature for me & as I expected my mom loves it. Quite long lasting (than other Jo Malone perfumes) but as skin scent. No projection.

I tried them all today and this is my fave. Have to decide soon if I want to buy a FB. L'E's disappear quickly. I like just that hint of sweetness and powder.
