Silver Needle Tea

I bought this Silver Needle Tea cologne without sampling it first. I love it! Luckily I did not read reviews before ordering or I would never have bought this scent. On my skin the tea scent is extremely strong with sweet fresh crisp scent that stays the same on me without fading for 8 hours! That never happens because I have extremely dry skin! It projects at least 6 feet with a refreshing tea trail. Tea is the only scent with maybe a hint of sweet citrus that shows up on me. Zero rose, musk, mimosa or anything else is detected on my skin which I like. This is exactly what I want to wear in hot Arizona desert heat at 125 degrees or more! Right now in winter it is 70 but drops to 55 at night so maybe the cold brings out tea. I recommend this cologne to tea lovers. Ebay sellers offer decants of the tea colognesby Jo Malone I discovered after I bought this cologne. Try before you buy if you worry this scent will not work on your skin.

I had wanted this tea ever since I received a 1.5ml sample from a JML boutique years ago and finally saw a 75ml on sale at a local marketplace site. Bought it in a heartbeat (its a steal at 72 sterling/ USD95). To me, the tea scent is strongest in this silver needle and the most 'floral' of the 6). I have the complete 15ml x 6 set so I have tried the rest in the collection. Love the fresh burst of sweetness, light citrus scent at the first spray. Certainly lifts my spirit especially living in hot and humid Asia. Scent seems to emanate stronger when I perspire (I smell dominantly rose) and I only catch the musk/faint herby scent at dry down.. Much prefer to spray on my clothes then direct on skin as I think I am not liking the way the dry-down smells on my skin. Apart from then, the best part to me is at the first sprays and smelling it on my clothes all day.

The Silver Needle Tea has just become my new go-to fragrance for everyday use, to me this is a happy fragrance and yet evokes a sense of calm. Out of the 6 JM rare teas, this is the lightest varient (colour wise), but the most tea like. Silver needle is really a creation and does not reflect the white tea truly. The odour is initially a sweetened bergamot with delicate white tea, slowly evoving into an complex sweet green floral accord and finally settling to a green floral musk that comes back to your nose from time to time. The price tag of 240 Sterling would make a few turn away, but at 175ml, this bottle should last a good few years if you have a few fragrances to cycle through.

The scent absolutely reminds me of silver needle tea - fresh and sweet, with hints of white peach, rose, and citrus. Just lovely. Side note, absolutely thrilled I was able to get my hands on a bottle of this at a reasonable price. I've been coveting it since it first came out, and it's haunted me since. :)

Happy scent that can brighten your day!, it's easy-to-wear, clean and light. Nice sillage, last on my skin about 7-8 hrs. This one is the Lightest from this series. One thing Im so curious for this series is 'Why Tea?'

I'd wear this if I were a sophisticated librarian in my 40s.. which I am not. Doesn't smell like actual silver needle green tea to me

Bence tamamı vasat. Bu görüş destekleyen en önemli unsur saçma sapan fiyatı. Bu fiyatlara çıkıyorsan ilginç isim dışında birşeyler bulunmalı. Daha pahalı parfümler aldığım oldu ama bunlara bu rakamların yarısını dahi fazla buluyorum. Malesef markalar satılınca yapılarıda böyle uygulamalar ile zarar görüyor. Hemen marka üstünden daha çok para kazanma derdi başlıyor. Elimde rakam ve istatistikler yok ama bu serinin iyi satış rakamı yakaladığını sanmıyorum.

All I smell is a strong rose scent - I mean really strong which I felt is obstrusive. There is no tea scent at all so I am wondering why this is part of a tea collection. Those who like rose scents may appreciate this though. Quite a letdown because I did like Golden Needle scent.

It seems that someone gives negative feedback to all of the perfumes in this collection. Do you want to discredit this line or JM? I will not be upset if you have had all of them as a full bottle or tried them more than one time.

Hmm.. an interesting collection of 'tea' theme frags from Jo Malone. I have tried them all as I used to work for the company for many years and this particular collection was one of the least popular ever launched. The sales staff always found it difficult to sell this range to customers despite the beautiful presentation and packaging, and there are far nicer frags in the JM collection for way less cost. It was as though a frag creator at head office decided one day 'let's do an experiment to prove how dumb some consumers can be, let's make a range of tea flavoured scents, sell them at crazy prices just to prove people think a big name and extortionate price is always reflective of quality, ha ha!' so they concocted this extremely mediocre range of tea inspired scents, most of which make the wearer smell like they're wearing musty clothes stored in old, wooden trunks! No wonder JM had to heavily discount the stock to get rid of it. The product quality at JM has generally gone downhill since Jo sold her company to Estee Lauder, now it's all about reformulating using much cheaper ingredients; many long time customers have abandoned the brand as they have noticed the difference in quality, and know there are better quality products out there offering much better value.

April 17, 2023 Jo Malone Rare Tea, Sliver Needle Tea is clean musky tea scent. Surprisingly, this strike quite close the Dior "The Cashmere" but it is lighter, muskier rendition. When applied, you get a fresh burst of Citrus, a bit sparking. Then, Tea accord starts to show up, along with Rose nuance / Mimosa nuance. This provide clean, calm, musky scent that both gender can wear perfectly. Projection is very close to skin, similar to lighter offering from Dior MCD collection. Longevity is fairy ok at 5 hours, I can still smell it on my arm. At USD 200 for 175 ml., I think this is quite ok offering. But If you buy this at retails, I would say it is quite a crime. 9/10 I will try layer this with Midnight musk & Amber and provide further update. ===== (USD 195 for new, tester 175 ml.) I am looking for another tea scent to fulfill my need, JML Sliver needle tea is on my wishlist for a while. It was as low as USD 160 back a few year back but as this is discontinued, I don't mind pay a bit extra. I found the Cashmere from Dior is another a good Tea scent but I think it is a bit too Heavy for Hot Summer. Maybe can use in late may when weather is colder a bit. Let's see how it's going.

I was at the Jo Malone shop the other day and they told me that the rare tea collection is being discontinued soon. I tried each one in the collection and really loved each one, so I bought the set of 15 ml bottles. I truly think that this might be one of the best JM special edition collections ever. Even though I can't immediately detect a tea note in each one at all times, I have gotten the note when I first spray it on. They're all lovely, bright, and sophisticated but my favorites might be the Jade Leaf, which is extremely bracing and green, the Darjeeling, which has fantastic floral notes but does not have the usual sweet base (which would make it like a hundred other fragrances), and the Silver Needle, which has a citrus punch combined with rose. The BIG downside is longevity and sillage. Both are abysmal. I'm still glad I bought them but I'll keep them to spritz before bedtime or when I just want a beautiful pick me up.

Reminds me so much of Bvlgari Au Blanc, Westin Heavenly White Tea, and Fred Segal No. 7 White Tea. This perfume smells like the Ritz Carlton body lotion and the Westin lobby (if you have smelled either of these and loved what you smelled then this is for you). Fresh, crisp, clean. Good lasting power, very very faint projection. In a good way, this is the kind of scent you cannot overspray and will make you feel and smell fresh all day. I really enjoy this scent.
