Tangy Rhubarb Cologne

Opening is luscious and really does smell of rhubarb - which to me is best described as a combination of juicy red currant and astringent tart greenness. It becomes more tart as it wears - for me this is great but I can see others being turned off by it, so this is NOT a safe blind buy. Interestingly, after a few hours it smells a lot like Mirto di Panarea from the Acqua di Parma Blu Mediterraneo line. RHUBARB LOVERS: I think a better rhubarb fragrances is Hermes Eau de Rhubarbe Ecarlate which also has a very true to life rhubarb scent, but gives more juicy red currant and less astringency.

This is my favorite of the Marmalade collection recently launched by Jo Malone. The scent is juicy, spicy, fruity, and woody. On the dry down the scent is a bit creamier- to me the orange really comes out at the end, but I think the scent really retains freshness throughout its wear. I get moderate longevity from this - so about 4+ hours on skin and clothes.

An absolute favorite for the warmer seasons. It just gives off a cheery atmosphere and transports me to a setting of an outdoor picnic in a spring field. The bottle design is also pretty. I also like that I can smell both the rhubarb and green leaves to a large extent.

This scent is very fresh and straightforward. Most importantly (to me) it’s not at all synthetic smelling (as some of the scents from this line have started to be over the years). I really love it and, as designed, it does pair very well with Blackberry & Bay.

Tart rhubarb with a ton of nuttiness. It is almost as a cross between tart Rhubarb of Hermes Rhubarbe Escarlate and One umbrelle for two. Absolutely gorgeous and I think, the most unique from the Marmalade collection.
