Tropical Cherimoya Cologne

Tropical Cherimoya and Sunlit Cherimoya are the exact same fragrance just a slight name change and packaging. The notes are Top notes are Passion Flower and Pear; middle note is Cherimoya; base notes are Tonka Bean and Copahu Balm. This scent is fruity an exotic and should at least be available to buy from the Jo Malone archive section of their website in 100ml as it smells so fruity but warm yet addictive. It smells of the tropics and pure paradise. It is the best fragrance made from Jo Malone and lasts all day on me and I can still smell it lingering on my clothes 10 hours later and get whiffs throughout the day! It smells great in hot tropical climates and humid weather as well as cooler summer weather. It’s by far my favourite fragrance on the entire website and needs to come in a body crème and body wash as this scent is amazing!

I have to admit that this one does not last very long like many of the JM perfumes. But I love the scent! It is so tropical and gives me summer vibes. And when people smell it on me, they do not recognize what perfume it is. That makes this perfume special as well; as it was a limited edition and not among the popular perfumes, I think I stand out when I wear this one. For those reasons I believe it is worth it for special occasions. My solution: combining it with another jo malone scent. Last time I combined it with tuberose & angelica also from Jo Malone. I got so many compliments that night!! The next day I smelled the perfumes still very strongly in my clothes. I am definitely going to do that more often.

I really like this fragrance for the summer. It is fruity sweet at first spray and that lasts about an hour on my skin. It then turns into this slightly sweet fruity floral that is closer to the body. On my skin it stays that way for about 5 hours. With 8 sprays I get around six hours of wear time and it doesn't tend to project far after the first hour. I think this is perfect for hot summer days.

Fruity and creamy which I love. Not too cloying like English Pear and Freesia. This lasts on me about 3~4 hours, i don't expect more from Jo Malone anyways. I disagree that this smells like B&B works At The Beach. They aren't even close. Hibiscus Palm from Aerin is actually the similar one but somehow Aerin's makes me dizzy.

I love it. I'm sad that this is a limited edition. This reminds me of a plushie from my childhood. It's soft, sweet, and powdery.

Regarding what FireFlySF said, I think the cap is not that bad in reality as it is metal rather than the plastic-like one in the picture shown here. But I somehow agree with the part of mediocrity as it is a sweet perfume which is commonplace in the market and nothing really special that catches your attention at once. Besides, it is not that suitable for humid hot summer as I am pretty sure it will annoy you with its base as tonka bean and you will not want to wear it in 35C or even above. I actually don't even know what cherimoya is before I saw this ingredient on the perfume but I still don't know what it smells like after I searched for the translation. So I just assume the sweetness in the scent that I have never smelled before as cherimoya. It is a kind of floral sweetness, a bit like the tuberose kind of sweetness which I do not like since I believe it is a bit overly sweet for me. But this one seems fine probably because it is a cologne thus the scent is not that strong and hence its sweetness. Nonetheless, here comes to the part of tonka bean. As FireFlySF mentioned before, the 'cheromoya' (the sweetness I believed to be) and the tonka bean is quite stand out though the tonka bean is not very intensive but you can definitely notice it as the base which further enhances the sweetness and gives it a bit warm thing. I could detect the pear in the very beginning but it faded almost within a few seconds and no more fruity notes. So this fragrance is not fruity one and therefore quite hard to hit the tropical line (in my opinion tropical scents must be fruity sweet containing mango and other sweet fruits). I actually found that the opening is a bit similar to mimosa and cardamom after the pear note disappeared. But later they diverged. In my first impression, I don't see the cherimoya and tonka bean forced to be together since tonka bean is not that intensie to my nose. Rather it just act as a base to enhance the sweetness. Nevertheless, as time passes by, it is like a sunny day changing to a storm all within a sudden with no transition period. It is very weird and it seems to jump from stage 1 directly to stage 10. A smooth transition would make it much better albeit I still won't pick it as a summer scent due to its lack of freshness. Last but not least, green almond and redcurrant is a successful piece to me although I did not buy one as I won't be able to use up a full bottle. However I definitely agree with your opinion about jasmine sambac and marigold which smells more interesting and I like its woody over the sweetness of tuberose and angelica.

I actually really like this scent. It reminds me of Chloe Narcisse, I'm guessing from the combination of the cherimoya and the passion flower. Perfect for the summer and a nice change from the overly tangy and musky Escada summer editions.

Well to tell the truth I had no idea how cherimoya smells!! As about the fragrance not bad not super also! Nice fruity summer fresh! I blind bought it cause I found it in super price but to my nose it's totally feminine!

I did not like it. Yes, it's pretty, fruity, feminine and light, but the longevity is very weak, the initial blast is very synthetic and non-unique. I prefer to own more powerful fruity scents, like the ones by Tom Ford and Tiziana Terenzi, and even Diptyque Ilio lasts longer on my skin despite being EDT formulation. But this Jo Malone's cologne is just way too weak and projects poorly.

I was so excited to see this cologne because I love eating cherimoyas and I’d love to smell like them, too! This is not cherimoya. This is sunscreen with maybe a hint of almond up front. Otherwise, nothing but generic sunscreen scent, with typical poor Jo Malone staying power. Disappointing. Why even bother? Ever get the feeling they’ll put any garbage in a bottle and sell it for $70?

When I first sprayed this perfume I thought I was smelling a Michael Kors perfume. It’s a familiar scent that smells like lots of things, none of them elegant or expensive. I’m not a fan. On dry down, it smells identical to the tropical glad Plug In. No joke, all I can smell is my grandmas bathroom plug in with a touch of “sunscreen” in there

The cheapest nastiest white flowers toilet cleaner spray. Headache inducing scrubber. just so sad, custard apples smell so amazing a delicate and fresh and its not that!

I have 16 other Jo Malone scents. And I love or like most of them. This one is the worst one I have tried. Save your money. Trust me on this one.

Very sweet, synthetic mess. Cherimoya isn't present at all. Disappointment.

Frowning...tonka, fruity sweetness, white florals, very Sephora.

I blind bought this and I regretted my purchase. Good thing was that it wasn't the 100ml. When I first sniffed it from the nozzle, it was really really pleasant! Think summer vibes, girly vibes, youthful vibes and all that goodness. You seriously just want to drink it 'cos it just reminds you of fruit punch or a similar summer drink. It seriously smells this awesome from the nozzle, and I thought it would smell as crazy good on my skin as the scent reminded me much of some other perfumes I'd tried before many many years ago. I sprayed it on my skin and the top note was really sweet. Maximum girly vibes there. I felt young in that scent, like back in my teenage years. The hint of pear was so strong and it soon became rather cloying. The middle note was pretty nasty after a while as it got really strong. It smelt like one of those artificially enhanced fruity scented erasers/locket diaries you bought back in middle school. I like how it fades off to a rather deep note at the end and it doesn't smell as cloying as the top and middle note. I actually enjoy the base notes so much better. It wasn't too sickeningly sweet and artificial. It becomes slightly woodsy. This didn't last very long on me like many other Jo Malone products but much longer than wood sage and sea salt as well as wild bluebell. If you'd like a pear scent, I'd recommend the english pear and freesia cologne. That one is so much more pleasant. But all in all, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone and this is probably the worst JM product I've bought thus far.

Smells really good at first. But of course even after spraying myself 10 times, I could still barely smell this, and focused it faded so quickly as with every darn Jo Malone. Dry down is also unimpressive to me.... reminds of me of faint generic shampoo smell. I like the initial smell but knew right away that it’s a scent I could find at Bath and Body Works for a better price and possibly even better staying power. Silly that I was tempted to buy this because I’m drawn in by the brand for some reason.... almost as if the high price makes the purchase feel so special. I did ask for a sample and I’m glad I didn’t purchase. I will say though, the scent is something I haven’t smelled before from Jo Malone which was a pleasant surprise. If I had tones of money to splurge and enjoyed collecting lots of these, I would buy...... mixed thoughts here, clearly!

Sweet, fruity, apple and pear scent, like a fruit salad. Fresh, but not very good to my mind. Does not really smell like cherimoya to me. The actual cherimoya fruit has more of a vanilla ice cream scent. Also, doesn't last more than an hour on my skin. Definitely will not be buying this fragrance.

I would call this perfume "spring cliche", because it is a typical flowery scent, and the listed fruit notes do not make it unique as they seem to disperse in the cloud of jasmine which is dominant here, however not listed in the description. Very close to Gucci bloom.

This is a dupe for At The Beach by Bath & Bodyworks. Definitely save your money and get the original at B&BW. They even have a cute edp purse spray for $12 in addition to the body mist. Salty, coconutty and beachy. The notes list here is a joke.
