Tuberose Angelica

This was a love at first sniff for me. This is a natural, gorgeously fresh yet also smooth deep amber floral. This and Jasmine Sambac and Marigold went straight into instant 💗💕 for me. Sometimes fragrances are like people to me. I’m so weird I know, but when I find the natural world encapsulated into something like a fragrance it has a personality. This is a special personality with the beautiful rubbery almost gardenia like alive tuberose on top then the creamy dreamy beautiful amber that Jo Malone does so well underneath. I find even places have moods that go with their personality. I’ve lived at the beach for around 15 years and the beach has a different mood that goes in cycles, one day crystaline and glittering, one day dark, rough, waves crashing too close to the shore throwing you roughly out, one day mystical, rain clouds gathering off the shore blowing serenity into perfect cool breezes across your skin, lighting striking off the shore in a wild display of power, ugly, brown, angry, perfect Maxfield Parrish cumulonimbus clouds, perfect temperatures, perfect happiness and sunshine, scorching hot. I digress. Places have meaning and moods just like people and just like fragrances. This is a mystical, soft, fresh, warm, soul melting fragrance. I wish Jo Malone would do some stronger fragrances with greater concentration or percentages of fragrance to alcohol. They fragrances are so amazing I feel they deserve it. The heart wants what it wants and I love this.

This initially opens similarly to Fracas, but a bit warmer, less loud, distinctly Tuberose but also Angelica with some warmth. I found this--initially--more "wearable" because Fracas makes its presence known, and just keeps attending the party drinking and laughing hard, long after everyone else has left. This one dries down to a creamier, rootier, less cloying, less "sweet" aspect of Fracas (which I really enjoy when I'm in the mood). As one reviewer said, this is "green" but it's also a "warm green"--not fresh crunchy early morning green--but a hot day in the early morning, sun is out already, dew is off the grass but it's still cool enough to enjoy the garden "green." I like it and enjoy it more than other Jo Malones. However, one aspect it shares with all of them is the longevity. Only a few of her colognes, special editions, last. Silage is adequate in this frag. The initial sprays may make you feel as if it's going to be a BIG bomb (that tuberose), but because of the angelica it settles. I detect a musk in there; I only catch glimpses of it, but it seems as if there might be the same kind of musk in Narcisco and Lovely--down at the very core. One could wear this day-to-day and to the office. That big tuberose dies down to a pleasant, approachable scent. I think this might skew better on a woman than a man--but it's up to each person/skin chemistry.

I am a bit of a romantic and nostalgic especially with choosing fragrances because I believe it bottles up time and emotions. My partner and I at times would end up in a Jo Malone corner in duty free before we start a holiday. We pick a fragrance that we can share and use during the holiday, and before heading off to India we decided on this scent. I particularly wore this at night during our Indian holiday, the tuberose note mingled perfectly well with the sweet Jasmine scented summer breeze of India. The scent is not 'heady' (as long as you dont spray too much), both warm and cool enough to be worn on any season. The tuberose cools the scent while the amber gives warmth. This is definitely a unisex scent, and I love the bold and sexy depth it projects, noticeable but never overbearing. This fragrance will always bring me to warm Indian summer nights.....romance and nostalgia bottled in a beautiful scent.

I love it! It’s a beautiful white floral from my collection. It’s very special to me. It opens up beautifully, with small green hints, and ambery base, and the tuberose is simply royal. It’s one of the first niche perfumes that I bought. I compare it to Do Son, and it’s my intense. When I compare it to narcotic Venus by Nasomatto, I notice that the Nasomatto’s version is my floral and toned down, it’s also slightly fresh and citrusy. The tuberose in Kilian good girl is way sexier and sweeter. Tuberose in the Forbidden by House of Matriarch is dirtier and more herbal. These are the most tuberose heavy perfumes that I have tried. My preference lies majorly with Kilian and Jo Malone. I feel like Kilian version is more versatile, and tuberose in Jo Malone is simply royal, gorgeous, powerful and forward.

No, this tuberose is not boring. Is just not a strong character like some other tuberose folks, but is not too versatile either. Smells very natural to me; this is its charm. The only scent from Jo Malone that really tugs me. Herbaceous, green, a little sharp at the very beginning then quickly becomes sweet and rich, with a tenacious and musky edge. 'Finely feminine', effortlessly sexy: borderline boudoir, and mellow while being fairly potent for a few hours. I much prefer wearing it on clothes as I enjoy getting wafts. It delivers what it claims (unlike Jasmine Sambac & Marigold), though the result is beyond my expectation. I have been wearing this a lot during winter.

A successful blind buy for me. I own a few tuberose fragrances but with this one, I found it a light soapy, powdery musky, yet not overwhelming. The tuberose notes are softened by the Angelica and musky notes on the dry down with amber very light. Longevity weak but sillage is good. Great to wear in cooler weather day or night. I consider this a more safer tuberose fragrance. I find this similar to Kim Kardashian’s same name perfume which is tuberose-based and her scent creamy and warm, whereas Jo Malone’s Tuberose Angelica cologne intense is softer and lighter. I love it!

As a 26 year old guy, I must I love it! The tuberose is very dominant and prominent. The sillage and longevity is outstanding. I have worn this to work several times and have asked my work colleagues whether this smells feminine and their responses were no but rather a dark masculine floral scent. I am a huge fan of Jo Malone perfumes, most especially the cologne intense line (I own Velvet Rose and Oud, Oud and Bergamot, Jasmine Sambac and Marigold, Mryhh and Tonka and Tuberose Angelica). They have never let me down and I always get compliments whenever I wear then.

How unique perfumes works with body chemistry. I didnt smell creamy or milky tuberose. I smell very fresh, cut fresh tuberose bouquet, sharp and clean, a bit strong for me but i love it so much. The dry down is beautiful, i smell that creamy tuberose... wore it before bed.. And it last for hours until the next morning the smell still linger on me... 2 sprays for 12 hours last for me is a beast performance though it wont project across the hall.. Sillage is quite good, people 2-4 feets away from you will notice the scent.

This is truly beautiful. A light and airy (and, unexpectedly, very sexy) tuberose and angelica, interplaying in equal intensity- yes, the name is very accurate). Βut: Like all Jo Malone fragrances on me, it does not last. Two hours maximum is all I can hope for, and that's when I go very heavy on the application. While I do love it, and get compliments on it, this is the last Jo Malone scent I purchase. It was my final attempt with the brand. It was a costly experiment and I finally give up.

Tuberose Angelica is such a clean tuberose fragrance. Fairly approachable, not heavy, yet still delivering the beauty of the flower. She's a little stripped of anything dirty or lusty, but manages to be creamy-sexy with a warm undercurrent: a slight tinge of green peppery angelica and a flash of metal. I feel like there might even be a hint of a smooth, musky gardenia accord in here. Jo Malone delivers a well-balanced tuberose that I feel is more versatile than most.

Men should try this. I haven't given it a full wear, so not doing a review yet, but just wanted to mention that it's definitely unisex. Not sure why JM designates gender like this. BlackBerry and Bay is another one that is easily appropriate for men, but listed as for women. Atelier, MFK, Bond, etc. have no problem listing much more floral scents as unisex. Anyway, guys, dont be scared off by the arbitrary gender designation.

Tuberose but modern because it is pure and not weighted by vanilla or patchouli. I love the richness of the opening, a little wet with an earthy undertone. The dry down is deliciously creamy. Overall, a very beautiful, feminine and elegant scent. Projection is great for the first 3hrs and it lasts over 8hrs on clothes and skin. I layered with Peony Blush Suede and smoothly drifted into dreamland.

This is so nice. Unlike most JM colognes, it's actually easy to go overboard with this one, so you have to be restrained in applying it. I like to just do one spritz on my sleeve and I get gentle tuberose wafts all day, but not in your face and swoony like fracas. I also could not pick angelica out of a police lineup so I'm mainly getting tuberose, but not cloying.

It is linear and nothing new but Jo Mo somehow managed to create a simple yet rich fragrance that actually lasts for a decent time for a cologne, it lasted about 6 hours on me and it didn't even have to stuff my nose into my sleeve to get a proper sniff. It is a think a really good one even if it is a typical tuberose fragrance

I liked it very much from the first sniff and for a few minutes I was thinking of buying it. But then I tried L'interdit rouge ultime and I fell in love. Tuberose Angelica is a lighter and less complicated perfume so the best option for those who like white flowers but don't want a super femme fatale perfume.

This is very powdery on me with the floral notes adding depth and fullness...I keep catching the scent and then inhaling deeply because it's really lovely...longevity is ok for a Jo Malone. This will be fun to play with and layer but does just fine on it's own. Expensive but glad I bought it.

A beautiful perfume. I love tuberose, a wonderful floral that reminds me of a field and a beautiful young woman walking and exuding this perfection. In my opinion, I've never smelled anything like it; it's light, fresh, and youthful. Perfect for hot days and late afternoons. I loved it.

This perfume is absolutely gorgeous to me. It’s so fresh and feminine, my nose can’t get enough. The longevity is not great, and I find myself having to re-spray throughout the day but the smell is just captivating and I’m so glad patchouli never got the chance to ruin this masterpiece!

Gorgeous. Tuberose blooms right up off the skin supported by soft green angelica. Not muddled by much else, a pure floral but has plenty of voice. Slightly sharp and tangy green, creamy, lightly sweet, intoxicating. Absolutely loving this.

I really like this. It's floral and green. It made me realize that I prefer tuberose over jasmine. Fortunately, this fragrance doesn't trigger my migraine like other white floral perfumes do. Scent: 8/10 Projection: 6/10 Longevity: 7/10

This is actually a really beautiful, rich tuberose perfume. It also has good lasting power. I sprayed it 8 hours on a paper sampler and I can still easily smell the tuberose note. Beautiful floral perfume.

The smell of this scent is 100% up my street. I am a Tuberose nut and this is lovely Tuberose. Sadly the longevity and projection for the price isn't up my street at all. Such a shame.

To my nose very similar to Estee Lauder Modern Muse. A nice office friendly feminine perfume.

There are better tuberoses out there - not that I was trying to compare it to something like Fracas or Carnal Flower. I wasn't. It's a very pretty scent, but the thing about the Jo Malone line is that they're all overpriced for what you get. Tuberose plays very well on my skin, though. My partner kept grabbing my wrists as we walked around, exclaiming, 'This smells SO good!' I didn't mention that the first Juicy Couture was something that had inspired the same kind of reaction. The tuberose here is quite realistic to me, more green than buttery, and it isn't too sweet. I liked it, but definitely not enough to purchase. If you're looking for white florals, particularly tuberoses, I'd opt for one of the many other options unless you're attached to the brand clout or the look of the bottle. My personal favourites are Tubereuse Criminelle (after the menthol makes its exit), Juicy Couture, Carnal Flower, and Madonna's Truth or Dare. I prefer loud, potentially brash scents, too, so maybe that's why this iteration didn't click for me. It lasted four or five hours, but was a bit boring. I read tuberose and expect lush... possibly dirty. I don't expect something demure?

Tuberose Angelica is a clean tuberose that can easily be worn every day. It has a bit of the hypnotic white floral sweetness typical for this flower, but it's not too heavy or heady and also has a lot of freshness. The herbal, green, slightly dusty angelica note becomes stronger over time, even though it's the top note. It makes the scent more grounded and down to earth, as far as this is possible for a tuberose scent. I sense a tiny hint of fizzy amber in the background. Compared to other tuberose and white flower fragrances this is drier. It's creamy, but not THAT creamy. For a very short time in the final drydown I get a bit of bubblegum sweetness. Overall this is a lot of tuberose and not so much else. The intensity and lasting power are average, it's okay but could be a bit more. I tested this because tuberose is my fave floral note and the bottle from the Poptastic edition looked so cute, but honestly I can't justify to buy it. I already have an everyday clean tuberose fragrance (Kenzo Jeu d'Amour), and while they're very different, I don't need another atm. If you do, JM Tuberose Angelica is a good choice.

It doesn’t shout. It doesn’t demand. Tuberose Angelica itself is a whisper, but in no way meek. This version of tuberose doesn’t go heavy or heady, not the bold floral that can often overwhelm. Instead, alike most of JM's florals, more of like a translucent sheen, coloured a shade lighter than its raw form, floating effortlessly on your skin. White petals distinct, creamy, tender—never too assertive or seductive, yet sexy in its own (seemingly) innocent way. The angelica by it steps in to add the slightest green touch, a warmth that balances the beautiful sweetness of the tuberose. Together, they serenade, creating a fragrance that feels gentle yet sophisticated. It’s not the most show-off-y of florals—more like a delicate nod to femininity. Not a true tuberose, perhaps, but it doesn’t need to be. It’s not any less pretty, with a natural elegance that feels both fresh and serene, and perfect for those who appreciate a tuberose that doesn't overwhelm.

As is the case with most Jo Malones, this does exactly what it says on the tin. A creamy tuberose with a herbal edge, this is exactly what I expected when I read the name Tuberose Angelica. TA opens with herbal angelica, initially slightly bitter on my skin. Aromatic and earthy, it subsides to reveal the tuberose at the heart of this scent. Creamy, sweet and smooth, the tuberose is very pleasant and palatable. It has a slightly green undertone. It remains tuberose dominant throughout, with a soft woodiness emerging as it begins to dry down. It becomes musky as it fades, with remnants of powdery tuberose. Sillage and longevity are moderate. A pleasant, good quality tuberose scent, TA is simple yet well-composed. Feminine and transeasonal, it is a good everyday white floral. It isn't anything unusual, angelica opening aside, but it is truly lovely regardless. Jo Malone does Gucci Bloom. 4/5.

This is one of the first Jo Malone scents I have ever really liked. They are normally too asexual and simple for my taste. This one is still quite simple, but that’s what I like about it. White florals often give me headaches and I feel I can’t breathe in them. But this is so restrained and so delicate that I can just enjoy the tuberose. Yes, it’s overpriced, but I still think it’s one of the nicest white florals in my collection and I appreciate the balance of it. It also layers well with other scents, especially woodier scents that need a touch of femininity.

this is fairly linear tuberose scent-I don't smell anything BUT tuberose. Fortunately , I like white florals but if you don't, I wouldn't even bother. Its green but warm and heady, yet clean-its nice but I was not bowled over. The part that irritates me to no end is how short lived Jo Malone fragrances are-this is supposed to be "intense" version and it lasted about 1.5 hour, as mostly skin scent, after which not even a hint of scent remained. On one hand, I am tempted to get it, but its not a "wow" scent to me and I don't think its worth $155

This is such a lovely green white floral. It's green in the same way Vert Malachite is -- still very much a white floral but the Angelica adds a hint of green depth. Haven't smelled Vert Malachite? Think Gucci Bloom or Fracas with a (albeit small) twist. I will say, I first smelled this in store via bottle and really got the Angelica and now I've received it as a sample in a flacon and the Angelica does not come out as prominently from this like dabber. If you love tuberose frags, this is a very nice option.

To me this is a softer, a little fresher take on tuberose. In the opening I can smell the green freshness of angelica lovely blended with soft, milky tubeorse. As the scent develops, the angelica disappears, at least on my skin, but the tuberose remains soft and fresh, not as overwhelming as in Gucci Bloom or Givenchy L'interdit. Lovely, elegant, almost girly, but very appropriate for a lady at any age. Safe choice for those who find many other contemporary tuberose scents a bit too heady and strong.

I tested this at an airport along with others. I fell in love immediately bc of my tuberose/gardenia obsession. It lasted for a few days on the card I took home. The scent is divine. That said, it does smell similar to other white florals. Green white floral. Reminds me of Nuit de Tubereuse by L'Artisan Parfumeur... and also... La Chasse aux Papillons L'Artisan Parfumeur but without the lime blossom. I bought it in set of minis. I still love to sniff it or wear it from time to time. -

Simple, but beautiful! I get a creamy tuberose and a soft, fresh angelica. It’s an interesting and elegant combination. It’s very sensual and classy. One of the best tuberose fragrances out there. For fans of white florals, this is a must try. I like it very much. I imagine an elegant lady with simple tastes wearing it. she wears all white, made-to-measure clothes. She eats in traditional restaurants. Sillage is soft, longevity is moderate to long. Final note: 10/10

I hate to give a meh review to a tuberose fragrance (because I love tuberose). But, meh. I think there are so many tuberose scents out there that are more interesting and have better projection/lasting power. I'm really intrigued by the Jo Malone cologne intense line, but this one and Myrrh and Tonka have been disappointing to me so far. Maybe if I could actually smell the amber and woody notes, I would love it, but no.

This is a white floral explosion, reminds me a lot of replica flower market or Marc Jacobs sorbet I believe it was called, it’s very strong floral and could be pretty headachy, as much as I love it, I stay away from those cause I do get headache from super florals. Is it unique? Nope, not at all. It’s more gardenia/jasmine to me than tuberose, but it could be just me.

Tender white floral with a fresh undertone. The tuberose is creamy and dainty, quite linear. The green angelica and the woodsy notes give it a youthful, casual feel. This is a fragrance that could also be worn in a fancy sport club, or with jeans and a white t-shirt. Not matronly at all. Lasting power is good on my skin, it can go 6/7 hours with no problem.

I bet this is what Edie Sedgwick smelled like at the end of a long night partying. She was rumored (maybe confirmed?) to wear Robert Piguet Fracas, which is also a tuberose scent. This one is much more muted than Fracas, and has a little cigarette undertone on my skin. It's giving femme fatale. Very pretty yet grungy.

Oh what a perfect tuberose. A royal scent indeed. I do not know if I want to wear it myself, but I cannot stop smelling it. Such a subtle, intimate, gentle, charming and feminine scent. So pleasant. It's pretty linear, does not develop much. But to me it's so classy. Love it.

Floral loveliness, smells like real flowers, lasts a long time on me. After a few hours it isn't as complex but is still a pleasant tuberose. This is for when I'm in one of my "keep your chemicals away from me" moods. (My nose is extremely moody.)

This perfume surprised me as I didn’t expect it to be an animalic kind of tuberose scent. Truly one of my favorite from their Intense series. Lasts AGES both on skin and clothings, as I can still smell it on my outer two weeks later.

I don't like the opening on this one because it just smells really sunscreen-y to me. After around an hour though, you start getting more of the tuberose and the warmth coming through and then it smells really nice.

Now I know what angelica smells like, I guess. The tuberose-angelica combination is rather delightful. I probably wouldn't walk around smelling like this, it is too lovely, but that's just me.

On me all I notice is angelica, but I like that, it's herby, fresh, feminine and sharp. The scent of angelica just makes me feel happy :)

Gucci bloom esque. White floral beauty. Very delicate. Doesn't last long on my skin at all. But very lovely while it does

very straightforward tuberose! the Angelica I feel in here offers some light support to a very simple tuberose note, not too green. I'm a big fan of tuberose and in the specter of green to bubblegum, this tuberose is more in the latter end of the spectrum. Kinda reminds me of Santa Maria novella's tuberose (not sure if it's discontinued, smelled it years ago) but the difference is that Santa Maria novella's flower fragrances like the tuberose or the Jasmin had the depth that fragrances with mostly natural notes offer, so you got the complexity of the ACTUAL tuberose or Jasmin, whereas here I feel like it lacks complexity, it's not only pretty straightforward but also has very little evolution. also the performance is not great, but better than some other Jo Malone fragrances (on me, about 4h hours on hydrated skin, with poor silage). Having said that, this is very nice if you like tuberose and also pretty likeable overall, and year-round appropriate. just nothing mind-blowing in my opinion.
