Johnson's Baby

I don't know how i'll live without this after my bottle runs out. love the lotion, but it doesn't quite hit the same. I couldn't tell you a single note in this besides powdery. I don't really need to, as i'm sure nobody is scouring fragrantica reviews for the latest opinions on johnson & johnsons discontinued baby cologne. who puts cologne on a baby? nonetheless, I love it. I'll miss you dearly, baby cologne.

I recently sampled a "fleur d'oranger" cologne from a famous niche brand and it immediately took me back to 1985 approximately: my mum had bought Baby Johnson's cologne for the summer, for my little sister. She didn't use it on her, but on the bed linen only. I loved it so much! At the time, there was only one Baby Johnson cologne, the yellow one. I wish I could find it, but seeing the variety available now, I have no idea which one was the "original". Thanks gpaisley for your detailed review!

This is the essence of a purity. It's a very light greenish powdery scent. This one also gets me positive comments which is surprising. You can't really go wrong with this - I love it

I'm happy to share my experience with some of the different types of Johnson's baby colognes - including the ORIGINAL "regular" Johnson's baby cologne featured in the image. (Of note, because these are baby colognes, sillage is very subtle and sits close to the skin, and lasting power is about 30 minutes). Johnson's baby ORIGINAL "REGULAR" cologne smells similar to BABY TOUS perfume (teddy bear shaped bottle with hat). However, the original Johnson's baby "REGULAR" cologne has recently been reformulated. It now smells similar to the Johnson's baby HEAVEN cologne - which smells like Bath and Body Works Sea Island Cotton, Sea Island Shore, as well as Calgon Turquoise Seas. Johnson's baby HEAVEN cologne - and the newly reformulated Johnson's baby REGULAR cologne both share a strong aquatic industrial cleaning product note. Sadly, the reformulated Johnson's baby "Regular" cologne no longer smells like the nostalgic classic Johnson's baby powder scent that was in the original Johnson's baby Regular cologne. (The newly reformulated Johnson's baby "Regular" cologne has a blue label with a little icon / image of a mother and baby in the top right corner.) Johnson's baby HEAVEN cologne smells like mild version of Bath and Body Works Sea Island Cotton / Sea Island Shore. It also smells similar to Calgon Turquoise Seas. Lasting power is about 30 minutes. Johnson's baby LASTING BLOOMS cologne smells like a mild version of Paris Hilton perfume (the one in the sheer pink cylinder bottle with thin black wavy stripes). Johnson's baby SUMMER SWING cologne is a delightful sweet citrus pink apple floral scent that smells like a mild version of DKNY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom (pink apple perfume bottle) as well as Victoria's Secret SHEER LOVE. It smells like a watery Pink Lady Apple with hints of citrus and aloe and apple blossom. Johnson's baby MORNING DEW cologne has a very mild green grassy and patchouli undertone to it, which reminds me of a mild version of GUCCI ENVY perfume, or GUCCI RUSH (red rectangle bottle), or EDEN (green opaque bottle) by Cacharel. It smells a little bit like vase water - the way vase water smells after flower stems have been sitting in the water for a few days. Johnson's baby POWDER MIST cologne smells a little like Johnson's BLOSSOMS baby powder (pink label). The main difference however it is that POWDER MIST cologne is not soft and sweet like the BLOSSOMS scent - rather the cologne has more of an industrial cleaner undertone to it. Johnson's baby SLIDE cologne smells like a mild version of the original Victoria's Secret BOMBSHELL perfume (or Zara ORCHID perfume). In addition, I read a comment that Johnson's baby SLIDE cologne smells like Johnson's baby PLAYFUL TICKLE cologne.

They have this in the baby section at Walmart, and I bought it to use as a room spray. The top 3 ingredients are water, polysorbate 20 (used to “hold” the scent in body sprays) & PEG Hydrogenated castor oil. No alcohol. The scent is a hint of the Johnson’s baby powder when you first sniff it out of the bottle, with the addition of citrus, floral and “fresh” notes. I put a few squirts of this in a a trigger spray bottle and top it off with distilled water, and shake it up. It makes a good room and fabric spray, to make everything smell fresh.

Use this on my baby occasionally. Smells like pure baby. And not just baby powder. Very light and I love it.
