As someone who has tried the fragrance i think the hate is not valid at all, he is a 16 year old trying to make his dream true by expressing his art. After smelling it, it was a really nice gourmand with this subtle coffee note with a semi synthetic banana smell kind of like the banana lollies i wish it was bit more of a banana bread smell like it suppose to but it has some dark chocolate in the undertone and i think it's the best fragrance made by a 16 year old give his fragrance a chance before hatting on him for no viable reason

I got this as a free sample while trading with him and in the opening it basically smells like a banana paddle pop, but after 10 minutes it turns into a roasted coffee bannana bread, it’s buttery and dark and has great longevity and projection. For a 16 year old this fragrance is amazing and makes me believe his fragrances will only get better

I've not tried this, I was reading reviews, Lot's of new "fake" accounts that only has one fragrance, votes this perfect. There is a massive amount of fake reviews on this, that it's "perfect", "never smelled anything like it", "eternal lasting" and so on. It's hard to get a correct view on this fragrance with fake good reviews and hateful reviews. I'm voting dislike because it appears the creater is making fragrantica accounts or getting his friends to make accounts and make great votes. Other commenters point out the creater is 16years old, which means his friend group is around same age, I've seen that some of the positive "fake" reviewers, the account names end with 08 for example, meaning that account is his age, they only own one fragrance, they've olny made one review, which is for this 300USD 50ML bottle. Which is odd to say the least

So to answer your question, yes you are missing something (you could have just stopped there if you wanted clarification since you clearly did not know but the fact that you barge ahead to say people are stupid or just don't realise suggests you had other intents). This fragrance is sold at $50mls for $320. Clicking the link here does indeed lead to the amazon link for carnal flower at $380 (not $320). There is no actual link here to buy it as he sells it through his IG (or at store called garden of spring that stocks it). In a way you have just validated those other responses that have called it obscene at $320 cos it suggests they actually do know about the fragrance unlike yourself. Anyways, since you have brought up Dominique Ropion whose creations are priced at a mostly similar (not exact) pricepoint, how about you go compare his pedigree and experience to Jonah here and tell me what you find.

Havent smelt, but I won't be getting behind an untrained 16 year old "perfumer" charging $320 for a 50ml bottle.This kid is slapping together a car in a box, painting it a pretty red color and then trying to sell it at Rolls Royce prices. It's not artisinal, it's not niche, it's just a kid whose messed around with a perfume creation kit and made a custom bottle to draw your attention. Safe, legal, compliant? None of the above. the whole thing is dangerous and delusional. Chase your dreams, but be realistic about it first.

To be honest I can’t get that scent. If ignore the perfumer history or background, the perfume not worth on the price tag and the smell nothing special just not a gourmand or something complex, it smell very close to some cheap perfume. Special thing on here only the bottle design, we know that bottle follow the style of other indie/niche brand but at least it still stand out on somehow.

He’s like 16, went to a perfume store and “learnt” how to make perfumes and made some “artisanal” perfume within like 2-3 months. Charges AUD320 for 50mls for a frag that is literally made by a complete amateur in his backyard with zero safety protocols in place. Gotta give him props for trying but an easy pass for me.

Why is there 13 votes for over priced and only 1 vote for "great value" People hate to see someone so young go after their dreams... they hate it so much that they're actually becoming delusional To the point they think they're the good guys in this situation Use common sense, don't blind buy it. Try it first. Then you can be allowed an opinion

people are saying this guy is listing his perfume for the obscene price of 320$ but when i click the amazon link it brings me to carnal flower by dominique ropion, which obviously isn't the dude's fragrance. unless i'm missing something, the people commenting about the price are either really stupid or didn't notice that wasn't his perfume. although i haven't tried your fragrance yet, keep following your dreams jonah! i'm sure you'll make a great perfumer some day :)

It's a sad truth, sooo much hate & negativity 🙏🏼💙☮️ To the creator of this perfume, continue on & push push push if you have to. Long review seems like it’s from the “perfumer”. Have come across this lad before. He’s been posting on Facebook about his product if you can call it that, and can’t answer questions whether he’s making it up to correct standards or using fixatives etc. then being a smartass when he’s called out about anything. Especially the price, $300+. Get a clue.

The audacity of some people to trash a 16 yo for following his dream. It's a very nice fragrance imo. Obviously, he needs to continue learning a ton and improve, but keep it up Jonah.
