Joop! Homme Eau de Parfum Intense

My now favorite from the JOOP! line. This isn't just because of novelty. This takes the DNA and effectively modernizes it for current noses. It's still floral, it's still super sweet, and yes, it still punches you in the face. This is what I loved about the original, and what I now love about this one. This, I feel, would require more confidence than average to pull off, but from my experience wearing it so far, other people seem to like it. You may dislike it because of the name - in that case, I'm sorry, and you're missing out on a lot. You may also dislike it because of how loud it is - but like it or not, loud is the big thing now, and let me tell you, it WORKS! For those more curious about the scent profile.. Yes, the three notes listed are what's strongest here. First thing I notice is the rose, then the richness of the tonka bean. The geranium is definitely there and adds good brightness. But a lot of people aren't getting the full picture, that's the big disadvantage of these three note breakdowns. I hate 'em so much, to tell you the truth. But I get definitely some more sweetness, not just from the tonka, but also from what my nose is labelling as "berries," perhaps raspberry or something similar. I also get some sort of sweet toffee accord, similar to that of The Most Wanted. Lastly, I think it builds off of the original EdP, making it much better. I find that one excessively sticky and sweet. If it's any in the line that's the most akin to cough syrup, it's that one. So I'm glad to see an improvement on it. For the price, it's FANTASTIC. I genuinely like this more that many fragrances that cost twice or even three times as much. It's a good one, folks.

I strongly believe this is the best flanker in the "Homme" line, for a few reasons: - It's the most versatile one, IMHO this can be worn anywhere anytime if you don't overdo with the sprays. - The smell is still sweet, but not vomit inducing like Joop Homme EDT, the rose works a really nice balancing act. - It does not have the biological warfare level of strength that EDT, EDP and Le Parfum have. It does last, but more like 7 hours instead of 10. I find it appropriate for this type of scent, it's not meant to kill people like the others. I honestly like it a lot, Joop Homme EDP, Le Parfum and this EDPI are 100% underrated fragrances. Great buy, can be found for cheap already (I paid mine 125ml 22 EUR + delivery).

Managed to find a bottle of this whilst on holiday in Crete. Was an instant love and to me is like a modern interpretation of the original which takes me back to my younger days in the 90’s. Very long lasting and very sweet with the rose.

Intense is a very delicate fragrance. The rose scent is very soft, not strong and powdery. In time smells like Declaration d'Un Soir.

I heard a guy on YouTube refer to this EDP Intense as rose bubblegum, and that honestly sums it up: Joop EDT dna, but soaked in rose. A bit synthetic for the first 15 minutes, but its a joop, so go figure. Unisex, Unique, borderline flamboyant (moreso than the og). I like it on the drydown: rose remains in the background but some Joop spiciness sneaks in. Not a longevity powerhouse like the original EDT, but somewhat close. Whereas Joop EDP, Wild and Le Parfum all but abandoned the original's dna, this embraces it fully. If you didn't like the original, you probably won't like this.

This smells nothing like the original Joop! Homme (in a good way). The rose note is very nice, replacing the original's horrible cloying smell with a better, powdery-floral scent. This lasts quite long, around 7+ hours and sillage is of good length, so just a few sprays is enough. I would say it's quite linear though. It's a very good flanker to the original Joop; unique with its added rose note and excellent performance for an affordable price (<$45 AUD for 125ml). 8.5/10.

Lots of pink rose, bit of green , bit sweet, a touch of woody spice. On my third wear I have realised this is Very potent. 2 spritzes is more than enough. Love the choice of gold sprayer and gold lettering, feels a bit ritzy 😁

Not as potent as I expected, given the brand's reputation. In fact, it's a pretty nice rose floral with a mild, sweet finish - a great buy if you're a man looking outside citrus and aquatic scents for warmer weather.

I have tested this a couple of times at a local chemist that sells this and to me its like an almost fresh kind of rose scent. Quite nice considering the brand and price point.

Bears little resemblance to Joop Homme, love it or hate it the original was bold and unique. Sadly this one is just yet another sweet ambery mess that smells like almost everything else on the high street. Update: after 30 minutes some Joop DNA appeared but not enough to save it.

Very sweet and smells synthetic and sharp. It feels outdated and quickly becomes too heavy and annoying. The added rose note just makes it more messy instead of better. Overall, it’s another disappointing scent from the Joop line. 2/10

Davidfrags it's because on fragrantica there's trolls that review products without trying them because of the brand or it it's connected to someone. It's definitely annoying and I want to try it just because I kike rose fragrances

Absolutely lovely, I love this, it s fantastic.Dont understand why people are hating on this aswell. I rate it a 8.2/10
