Joop! Homme Ice

I discovered the Original Joop my First year in college. I can remember being in clubs where you would smell a mixture of Joop and Cool water. I have purchased Individual & Dunhill Desire in past years hoping to find something more refined and versatile, but have only sprayed them a few times and now they are just on display like many of my blind buys over the years. Joop Homme Ice is good stuff...Still have some of the original DNA, but this being a "Blue" Iced version, it is a more fresh & refined version which you can wear during the day, and it actually holds up in warmer weather but I only use 1 small spray on the skin, 1 on clothes, and I get a good 6 hours plus and have yet to wear it and not get questions/compliments. Seems to be universally liked, does not have any off putting or polarizing notes, and not to heavy like old school Joop which was like syrup. Been asked if this is Invictus, Wanted, A new Coolwater etc...You can wear this and not fill a room or choke anybody out, but I am light on the trigger on purpose with all my fragrances. Stays as a nice skin scent at night if sprayed before work, so it has some staying power. Best way to describe it in layman terms would be....Joop Aqua. I have tried Wanted before, and I would say this is similar without the spice and less piercing and after settling, starts to become a fresher version of CK One Shock, Not as sweet and to my nose is a higher quality and less synthetic. This is not a beast mode fragrance which I like, although if you go heavy on the trigger, it probably could be, but overall....Solid Fragrance, Joop pulled off something unique imo for a blue fragrance, not what anyone would expect based on all the other blue's and iced scents released in recent times. Not nearly as sweet as original Joop, more versatile, Overall uplifting scent especially if you have memories from the Old school Joop days. I am surprised this has not received more love or attention....I found it at a Rack store for $30 which is a steal compared to others you find in that price range. I find to many fragrances smell similar these days, but Joop Homme is flat out good. If you liked the original back in the day, you will like this. I would also say if you like Azzaro Wanted, The bubble gum vibes of the many Invictus clones, you will like this. Thumbs up for sure. Kind of difficult to describe as it is unique..It is better imo than Montblanc Individuel, Dunhill Desire and more of a modern fresh take.*****

So I went to Dillard's to test 4 new fragrances I've been really interested in, Spicebomb Night vision EDP, Eros EDP, D&G K EDP and 1Million Parfum. Afterwards I went through Burlington and grabbed this as the note breakdown looked enticing. Upon arriving at the house I asked my wife what she thought about each of the samples from Dillard's and then I opened the Joop! H'omme Ice and we both sampled it. I immediately enjoyed it, but she continued smelling it along with one of the other samples I had sprayed for her, then she handed both to me and said, "These two smell identical!" Sure enough they definitely had much more than a passing similarity. What is the other sample? The Victor & Rolf Sipcebomb Nightvision Eau De Parfum!!! Admittedly they differ in the opening upon very close examination, but that goes away very quickly and they both smell identical after having them on for 30 minutes. So I love this stuff. I am still going to get the Nightvision Eau De Parfum, but I'm very happy with this purchase as well. This could be considered a bit more versatile due to the slightly fresher and slightly more brisk opening. What more can you ask for in the $25 price range? Also, projection and longevity are absolutely great!

smells exactly as the name and colour suggests ICE. I don't know about England, but in central and eastern europe there is a blue candy called storck ice, which tastes exactly like this perfume. i'm sure this was the inspiration, most joop perfumes smell like candy. homme - pink candy, go - green, ice - blue, sport - yellow, etc. sweet fresh cool, will be great for summer because they like the heat. they are not as aggressive as the basic version, so you can easily apply them a lot. I recently gave a girlfriend a comparison of armani aqua di gio profondo, valentino born in roma and ice - she chose joop for me. If you smell it close with your nose, you may not judge it well, but it smells good in the air, so keep it and wait until summer They're hard to find, and they're expensive, but I have about 300 perfumes and nothing like them, so for me it's worth having them in the collection even if I only use them from time to time.

The quality on this is really amazing for the price. I can understand the scent itself being a bit polarizing, but I personally LOVE it. It starts fresh and sweet, dominated by the Plum and candy citrus accords with a good dose of cardamom. The citrus fades pretty fast but keeps that deep plummy sweetness through the mid where you begin to pick up on the original Joop DNA, tobacco, tonka, and even though it's not mentioned, I get a hint of that characteristic Joop! cinnamon in the far dry down. I don't think this is necessarily blind buy safe, but this doesn't smell cheap and I get LOTS of compliments when I wear this. If you can get it for less than 50 bucks, I personally think it's still a bargain. It also last 10-12 hours on skin which is also a huge plus. I only paid like 23 USD last year so I've been VERY happy with this addition.

This is a really great fragrance that smells wonderful. The open is amazing and after 20 or so settles down to a very woody aromatic that lasts an age. The longevity is excellent and lasts about 7+hrs. Silage is about average around arms length but you pick up whiffs of from time to time. Joop has put out some very good flankers and each one doesn't smell like the original at all and this is no different. In fact it has much more in common with the likes of Absolute, King Red & Black and Wild etc... than the original which it has to be said is quite unique. However, Ice for me is up there along with the others Joop line that does not disappoint other than Wow which has little if any character at all. Ice is a deserved 8 out of 10 and it's something you can help but appreciate it👌!

Super lucky I got this in the low $20s. It's very strong, very unique and lasts a long time. I've owned it for two years and just now really appreciating this quality juice. I don't smell any citrus but you will definitely pick out the plum, and it's a creamy plum, not sharp or fem at all. Standout notes are plum, Clary sage, tobacco and sandlewood. This smells nothing like individuel. Ironically that has more original Joop dna than this.This stuff is amazing in October. I would describe this as masculine, soapy, fresh linen, warm and dense but not sweet with a very unique plum accord that is sure to stand out. Still worth whatever it's going for now considering the size you get and for how long just 1 or 2 sprays last. Any fans of unique barbershop scents would love this.

I really like this! I'm actually quite surprised because, when i first sprayed it in the freezing, February California winter, it was very piercing. It was a bit metallic, sort of medicinal, and what i thought at the time was very sweet, albeit very clean smelling throughout the day. Wearing it NOW, during the summer, it becomes SUPER sweet and very creamy...but I still like it. That's what i find surprising, that I actually like this super sweet scent. What i really like about it though is that the plum reminds me of Dark Purple by Montale, but this is no clone/dupe by any means. The tobacco and sandalwood make this a bit more "masculine", but i can see anyone wearing this. This is actually quite nice and not expensive at all. Give it a shot.

I bought this because the Joop line is one of my favourites. I was quite expectant so when it arrived I couldn't wait for my first blassed. The opening was pleasant enough but once I got to the mid main body then Wow. Not only that but went on and on and on. Longevity is brilliant and projection is good too. This is great all round performance but and I love it! The experts will give you all the finer points of the notes which I follow all the way down to the base but I am so over the moon I purchased this bottle. Value for money big time and a highly recommended fragrance I know you will appreciate very much! Taking the all round performance into account I give this 8.5-9.0 out of 10. Simply brilliant!

Another winner from Joop, Ticks all the boxes. nice opening and quite linear i think with only the time reducing its potency over a 6 to 8 hour period. it will certainly outlast an evening out. great in warm weather and thats good because far to many summer frags have big openings and then fade far to fast for my liking. will be enjoyed by younger crowd for sure for clubs. im 63 and i can certainly see why younger would like it but as i have never been ageist i like it also for different purposes like the summer for instance:) can be used all year round . I dont smell the Joop homme DNA in it whatsoever its its own Frag and not a flanker. £28 for 125ml Bargain! good all rounder 8 out of 10

Joop! Is always a bit unusual, especially when it contains the Joop! Homme DNA at its core. Joop! always offers a welcomed break from the boring, uncharismatic frags for guys with no personality. This is definitely a fresh, lighter, less sweet and more bitter version of the original and I’m here for it! Easy wear, great interpretation of Homme for the summer at a very attractive price. I also like the bottle (thank god the glass is blue, not the juice inside!). Nowhere near as good as Bvlgari Aqua which is also a sweet aquatic summery frag but I’m a winner blind buyer here! 7/10

Picked up a tester for 15 bucks and yes, this is a steal. Smells like a Mont Blanc Individuel flanker but not as cloying/sweet. This is fresh, powdery, lively. I get the dryer sheets comparison but that doesn't do this justice. This scent is several levels above that. Ideally this is perfect to put on before bed during a cold night. It's calming, relaxing, cozy and vibes with fresh linens that are welcoming you to a comfortable night's rest. If pillowy clouds had a smell, it would be this.

Scents are subjective, and I don't know any scent that everyone loves or hates with the same degrees. And also, my taste changes with experience, time, temperature, and weather. The original Joop Homme is a blast of syrupy sweet. The Wild version is also too sweet for me at times. But this Ice has an added icy tone to it. I was not impressed in the first few wearings, but I found the best time for me to enjoy this Ice is in the cool morning. Now a thumb up for me!

For me it's a win. Great scent. Got myself a 120ml bottle blind bought it Yes it is synthetic but smells very very good I do get that ICE theme here It smells kinda frozen I can't stop smelling like a quince note in it. Average projection but longevity is quite good. I bought it in one of the stores in UK for £16.99 so it was a super bargain. Would I buy again? Of course Great non offensive fresh semi spicy scent Well blended and super pleasent 8/10 from me

Haven't been this excited about an opening of a fragrance for a long time! Its sooo yummy! There's only 3 perfumes I know of that smell like bubblegum, Jacques Bogart Silver Scent & Silver Scent Deep, and now this, Joop! Home Ice. The Plum, Orange Blossom and Sandalwood give it a creamy, grape bubblegum nuance. Not really an "Ice" perfume, Joop! Homme Sport is an "Ice" perfume. They could interchange names. Above average performance.

Joop Ice is very nice.. Really, it very very nice! The is a great fragrance, smells beautiful, lasts a long time and projects very well. It's that good and for what you pay for a 120ml bottle makes it a steal too! Everything about this scent is positive and you can't go wrong when you buy it! All levels of the notes down to the ground floor are pleasant and enjoyable and I give this an 8.5 out of 10.

Great scent! If you find it at the price range of $20-$30 grab it! I am not a fan of sweet fragrances but this comes out really soft. Medicinal, herbaceous, bitter sweet, fruity...synthetic, but so well rounded. I would recommend it for all the seasons except summer. Now branding it as ICE, it's totally out of context. Don't get fooled and buy this waiting for a fresh summer scent. 8/10

Absolutely delicious, it's like eating into a luscious ripe Plum on a glorious spring morning and whiffs of tobacco linger in the air that dad just smoked, the orange blossoms are just catching the morning sun and opening up to its warmth the note of cardamon and sandalwood begin to rise on the skin generating an aura of true love. It has retained the Joop DNA Absolutely gorgeous.

Oh yes! Delicous and well blended aromatic sweetness. The Plum shines like it does at "Jako" from Lagerfeld (1997). Its upper class, well dressed, sitting in a stylish Cafe in Paris or Vienna type of scenario. Tobacco, Citrus, Sage and Orange blossom go beautfully hand in hand to make this a very appealing, modern, dreamy, lingering sensation! Well done!

After a day on my skin, I get mainly plum and tobacco. The sage and sandalwood makes it somewhat creamy in the drydown. It is a lot sweeter than the note breakdown makes it appear to be. Good performance, 8 hours+. I did get a cooling senstaion for about 10 minutes, 1 hour in. Definately more for spring and fall.

My opinion is that this fragrance is much more subdued than the original Joop! It is a little softer and at first smell it reminded me of freshly laundered, starched, and ironed clothes. It has that little bit of powdery clean smell with no one note overpowering the other.
