Wow! Eau de Parfum Intense For Women

I loved it! I'm a fan of white floral fragrances but this one is for a red, sultry moods - the rose is romantic and sophisticated, peony playful and patchouli and white musk for mystery. The fragrance is rich and sexy floral with musk deep scents that's long lasting and by the end of the day it softens nicely on your skin.

It's a great fragrance and I like it a lot. I would compare this to Gucci guilty pour femme absolute or deep euphoria. If you like either of those, you would probably like this as well!

If you like the balsamic quality of fragrances like Bottega Veneta Knot Eau Absolue, this is a pretty good version in a similar style at a much more affordable price. Easily unisex, with a dominant patchouli and rose accord. Once the medicinal opening note subsides, it morphs into a comforting yet persistent floral oriental. Recommended if you like a fragrance with presence, you’re comfortable with patchouli and you like them with an exotic twist.

Just got it in the mail, first impression - As others have said, VERY boozy. I originally ordered it (blind) because of the rose and black pepper notes. (If you've ever worn Schmidt's "ROSE + BLACK PEPPER" deodorant, you will understand - that stuff is classy and amazing.) So when I found this Joop Wow Parfum (female version) with rose and black pepper AND RASPBERRY (another favorite note of mine), I had to have it. The patchouli and pepper certainly lean it towards unisex, but the jury is still out on that. Definitely NOT sweet, but a little sour. In fact, VERY sour. SO FAR, all I can smell is booze. Too bad because it COULD have been a great fragrance.

Definitely not a soapy, freesia-esque rose, but I’ve got not one thing to compare or relate this to. Could they be doing a similar thing with rose and balsamics that chypre 45 does with mango?? I was a little concerned about some of the pepper comments, but it’s not a sharp, pokey pepper at all. This pepper was added during cooking, not on the fork just before you put it in your mouth. Also not sweet. What little sweetness you get here is just patchouli sweet. I think the look of this bottle is very in-line with the actual scent - rose-ish red wine aubergine color, with a screw top similar to some balsamic vinegars. I also think it’s got sort of a synthetic hint that is probably something similar to something used in other scents made around this time.... It must be a trendy methodology that I don’t know what to call, and it’s indicative of that “niche” vibe. I know niche is supposed to mean that’s really all you do vs being like the fifth thing that you do, but I feel like sometimes it’s a focus and sometimes it’s just the product of the latest trend or scent. I think Joop sorta is walking the line on that. It’s got that niche vibe without having a niche-level layered transformation. I should say that I prefer musks as a base over sandalwood, and maybe one of my fav things about this is that they used a musk vs sandalwood in the base. I also get sick of hearing fragrances only described as the top notes, cause the base is mostly what you are dealing with, anyway. Or I hear direct comparisons of scents that may have some similar top notes but nothing at all the same in the middle or base. I don’t understand that, because while I can see drawing similarities, I don’t know how you get comparisons that way. I know you’re “suppposed” to mist perfumes, but spraying bottles are like cars.... You kinda have to get the feel of each. On my first few attempts, I got that little puddle on my skin. Still, I loved the rich “Booz-ish” opening. For the most part, thought it was pretty great. Occasionally, it did smell a bit too far over the balsamic line. Then I’d go outside and think “oh no..... this dry down is too..... synthetic, patchouli, or something”. Osmanthus is the top of my short “fruit” list, which is my least favorite fragrance category. This is no Serge Lutens osmanthus, but it’s still a great note that kinda lends an apricot-leather feel. Ultimately, when I get this one misted properly, I think it’s absolutely lovely and deep, yet still rosey, with the peony giving a little extra dimension. I think it’s also better and more natural-smelling indoors with a/c. Which is the environment I try to keep, as my medical conditions don’t tolerate heat. I like Le Bain and the Femme perfumes, so I’d decided to give this a shot. I think it’s in-line with some of their other scents - you definitely get a lotta bang-for-your-buck value. And if you really wanted a drop of more sweetness, that’d be an easy add-on with a drop of your preferred sweet thing, but you end up with a soft and earthy sweet musk, anyway. Lord knows, you can add sweet but can’t really take it away, and I do not like overly-sweet scents.

Joop! Wow! for Women is back in a much stronger version, aptly named Joop! Wow! Eau de Parfum Intense. It smells very similar to the original Joop! Wow! for Women, however, the patchouli and rose notes are more pronounced and the sillage is more powerful. Despite being a fragrance marketed for women, it is easily unisex. It's a boozy red rose with musky, dark patchouli and a heavy dose of black pepper. This is not a sweet fragrance. It reminds me of a drier version of the now-discontinued Yves Saint Laurent Elle. My partner and I enjoy Joop! fragrances, with my partner owning many from this brand already. If I were to purchase a feminine fragrance from this line I would definitely consider Joop! Wow! Eau de Parfum Intense for Women as the longevity and projection is fantastic, not to mention the beautiful rose-patchouli combo. This intense version wears beautifully during Winter and could also be worn as an evening scent. As a fragrance house known for their large range of masculine scents, it's nice to see Joop! creating more feminine fragrances. I have always respected this affordable brand and look forward to seeing what they come up with next.

OK so this is one of the perfumes that I arrived today and blind bought it. I am disappointed in this one. It smells very very masculine. I was expecting a seductive addictive fragrance but smells completely masculine. Very boozy and musky. It is long lasting though.
