Maple Cedar

Maple Cedar by Joterc sounds gourmand on paper, but it wears much more refined than sweet. Don’t expect maple syrup or dessert overload, this is a polished woody fragrance built around cedar, almond, coffee, vanilla, amber, and soft spices. The opening has a crisp cedar bite with cardamom and a touch of brightness from bergamot. As it settles, the almond and heliotrope give it a creamy, powdery texture, while the coffee and oud add depth without making it too dark or heavy. The drydown is the best part: warm woods, amber, balsam, vanilla, musk, and patchouli blending into something cozy, smooth, and quietly expensive. It feels like a cedar-paneled lounge, a warm cup of coffee, and good furniture, comforting, elegant, and grown. Sweet enough to be inviting, woody enough to stay classy.

I bought this before I really got into fragrances and it is maybe still my favorite in my collection. Such a fantastic fall scent, reminds me of football season. The rose in this is blended so well with the cedar and vanilla. Dries down to a nice powdery vanilla that last very long, particularly on clothes. Excellent fragrance.
